If it pays out less, but only pays out to people who actually post great content (not plagiarizer shitposters, that copy paste newspaper articles), that gives value to Steemit. By the way Steem is a 0 fee currency. If somebody would create a market for goods and services based on Steem, like Openbazaar is for Bitcoin. Then Steem's value would skyrocket. At the moment it's only a social media. But it can be much more than that. |

Yes, just look at the many POS or hybrid coins. Mining is not necessary in all coins. It provides extra security benefits, but it can be argued that for other project, scalability and usability should be focused on. That doesnt mean that security is not needed, but a more centralized coins, doesnt need as many nodes, and it's role is not necessarily complete decentralization. But just providing a service. |

No, there are no free accounts. Someone pays for it. When you sign up on steemit.com, Steemit Inc pays for your account. When they get around to it, if they feel like it. Yes they pay for the bandwidth, but they could upgrade their servers if they want. But of course we see tons of spam and plagiarism from newbies (like copy pasting articles from news websites). Maybe Steemit Inc doesn't want more of that so they cut back some of the signups. I think they could offer paid accounts though, at least that would disincentivize newbies from doing immoral things there, since they paid for it, they would be more careful. |

I am a Etherdelta user for a week now hehe. I really admire the backend of this trading site. So beautiful!
Just a few suggestions:
• Can you put a chart for 30mins, hourly, daily, weekly. Its so hard to trade based from Buy and Sell depth.
• One more thing, I have a slow internet. I need to delete the browser cache everytime the Etherdelta is not displaying anything (Firefox, Chrome). Socket problem?

IMHO some governments are thinking about tokenizing fiat especially in Asia because it's a way to make cashless transactions without having to trust a third party like Paypal or WeChat in China.
But it's certainly not for price stability yet as even the big cryptocurrencies are still very (VERY) volatile.
So what now we will have like a GovPay service? Pay through government payment processor? Not that private payment processors can't be abusive, but the government is just horrible. They will be unresponsive, nasty to customers,after all they have the monopoly on foce... don't like it? Vote for better politicians next time |

There are no limits with Changelly I think. But obviously don't sent like 1 million $ over it, the trade would take way too much. But things like 1000-5000$ worth of coins can easily be traded there / transaction. |

If via ICO then my congratulations, if via stocks... risk so high I see that not risk at all. Although the price has been 10x in comparison with ICO period but maybe many of people who want to hold tight their tokens for long terms. You can observe through the trading behavor with volume confirmed that in low recently. So if you access to PPT for 0.01 ETH its still very proper. To me it looks like if 0.01 could be the low for now (but cryptos a little bit crazy anything is possible) , it looks like price has stabilized and will not go lower, like waiting for some good news to go higher. Even if the big seller has finished selling this could be enough that ppt start to go up naturally because of demand. Soon alpha version is going to release and team has great plan for marketing when this platform will be completed I expect another 10x in next few weeks. This are really good news ! You guys are losers, if the regulators find out about this hack, you can almost say bye bye to the casino license. And by the way they swapped ETH with EDG, so now people will have to buy EDG to be able to play in the edgeless casino. Nobody will do that, barely anyone will play on this casino. This project looks like it's over.

No the purpose is visibly to tokenize fiat Half-jokes aside, I think the tokenization of fiat is a good way to encourage adoption and, to continue the discussion with roselee, to avoid some HF which may seem a bit arbitrary. You can enter into God mode when you have just a bunch of unknown miners in front of you. You can't when you have 150+ entreprises and a few states. Are you talking about how Vitalik has so much control over ETH, then I agree, more businesses should be behind this, to avoid arbitrary hardforks. But not like this. Why the hell would people want a tokenized fiat? It makes no sense. Why not just use the established cryptocurrencies for day to day payments... |

yes they had announced 2-3 months before that burning would happen, but they never shared any more details because they told that they don't want to ruin the surprise  And a bit off-topic, Can anyone here clear the fuss going around bitcoin, i mean i just thought that split won't happen by looking at some news, is this right? If we want to gossip, I think the burn will happen after the Launch, maybe in September, it would be a great timing. A smooth launch + burning the coin = 200,000 satoshi price 200,000 satoshi is a bit less, my target is at 400,000 satoshi or $10 within 2 months reaching 400k satoshi in just 2 months? impossible. 50k satoshi is reasonable target and i will be happy to see 50k satoshi. it will take years to get to your target amount. Everything is possible here, if the majority of the outstanding coins are burned why not. Bitcoin is 2000$ and has 17 million coins. If AMP would lower it's coin supply to 200 million. Then who knows a 20$ price is pretty reasonable target for the long term. For the short term 100,000 satoshi is not a big deal. It was already almost 50,000 satoshi at the ICO, it should be worth a lot more after the real beta launch. |
