Not legal advice of any sort, I don't know much about it but as far as I know verbal contracts can be valid as well. Especially if followed by a big transaction of funds that you claimed happened (0.5 BTC?). It's probably a good idea to get some advice from a lawyer at that stage. |

I rarely visit "Collectibles" board, but it's surprising to find out there are still many people buy pre-funded wallet/card where they have to trust the creator. That's why many Bitcoiner keep mentioning proverb "Don't trust, verify".
Funnily enough, I think it's actually written on some collectibles. trolol Unfortunately none of us can be made whole. Literally impossible. Our collections are forever diminished and our trust of highly vetted members of this crypto space is altered. I lost way more than that paltry .0125 btc that got swiped. I lost thousands in premiums paid. I lost trust and respect for Coldkeys, which pours over to every new producer out there. My beautiful artworks are now thrown in the back of my closet - put away like trash.
I get that you guys like BTC, but I truly love collectibles. Having btc locked away isn’t so much about storing btc for me, but enjoying the art that has gone into each piece. The funding is comparable to an artist working with gold or silver - it locks away value in a unique way. I will never shy away from funded collectibles, but will def need some time to process this loss.
If someone could please post a picture of any other set besides a Coldkey Silver that was swiped - with holo intact, we can at least stop this narrative that it was a one off deal and only affects the silver halvings (and the raffle funds).
I personally do not feel sorry for Yogg. I feel sorry for you guys who had trust and friendship with a someone for years and he threw it all away. What a shitty way to treat your friends. Also Cygan and Owlcatz - I feel for you guys a ton. Owlcatz for helping the rebuild and Cygan for getting pulled into this mess right before the rug was pulled. And I don’t believe Yoggs narrative a single bit. If you find a usb that has keys stored on it, the first thing ANY reputable maker would do is destroy it. He kept it and I would assume others as his personal piggy bank. Sad sad day in the physical crypto space.
Man, I feel you 100%. This is a cluster-fuck causing some waves affecting many collectible projects in the long run. The only silver-lining I see in this, is that the focus will go back to self-custody. DIY coins will increase in interest and value. Makers will have to adjust their strategies. But let's see. In "real" crypto, massive exchanges get hacked every year or so. Then you see people shouting "not your keys, not your coins" for a few months just to be back at storing them in some shady CEX a few months later again. As one of the artists on Coldkey cards I'm really sad about how this turned out.
I hope there's a positive future for the project still somehow...
Don't get me wrong, but regarding *this* project I hardly see any positive future whatsoever. Believe me, it took me 5+ hours yesterday night to read, research and decide on this matter. Peeling the cards I designed felt like cutting your own skin. So I feel your struggle. But after sleeping a night on it, things are very clear for me. This probably not only has effects on ck cards but on the whole collectible space, particularly maker-generated key projects. Sucks but it's the hard truth. My heart goes out to all artists affected and to anyone who lost directly (funds stolen / never funded cards) or indirectly by reducing the collectible value of cold keys. And to any makers that are true to their craft and honest and now suffer additional trust-issues from the get-go. BUT, as minerjones said in the other thread (where I'll be writing a "summary" just to kind of sort my thoughts later today), maker-funded-collectibles are actually the opposite of what decentralized crypto stands for. Since people are blowing up my phone all day about this... I DID speak (SCREAM AT?!!) yogg - Turns out, he found an old set of the private key files for the silver sets. Long story short to which I will add documentation once I edit the 4 page screenshot of conversation of personal stuff out... 1. Yogg is a (unbeknownst to me, until today, as he hides his personality traits well apparently) total degenerate gambler. He said he first lost the raffle funds gambling, then he found a file with only the silver card keys (He said those were the only ones that were ever kept by accident on a file because they were done differently at the time as they were funded in blocks, and so he he saidh he only had the keys from the silver block that funded those cards. He said he's done, he has no more keys. He always destroyed them, and THIS is why, as someone pointed out in the interview in a way... He said nothing more can/will move, but hey.... how can we trust him rigth? Anyhow, this totally sucks, I was literally screaming at him on the phone, and if you know me on this forum, just imagine what a royal cunt I can be to somone who's just essentially ripped me off who I thought was a close friend. Not in his defense, but he was crying the whole time and claaims he was wasted and can't believe he did it himself. Again, no history keys should be affected, but do your own thinking there, can't blame anybody. I'm mostly pissed off that he destroyed both his life, this project, and literally wiped out the future value of the cards.  If you feel ripped off, feel free to create scam accusations. He claims he will not be back here ever, he knows he destroyed everything and everyone. So... After demanding he come here and address it, he refused, to which I said I would post the entire conversation here, (Which I will once I have energy/time tomorrow). Anyhow... End of... So yeah - Great FUCKING job Yogg, you fucked everything up - What a foold, and what a fuckign nightmare. Ballet wallet will not recognize it
If you got android, download Coinomi wallet. I would advise using it long-term. However you can very easily sweep a wallet with it and then transfer the funds later to a secure cold-storage device such as a Trezor wallet. I think iOS version also exists. Also BlueWallet on iPhone will allow you to import QR code private keys
Or Bluewallet - actually good option, it is lightning compatible! |

Finished peeling all my funded cards. Ballet card/app worked great.
I found 6 that were never funded. The two most recent history 3 card sets, 2021.2 and 2021.3

Never realized because all the others are indeed funded (at least for now).
Also had another unfunded one: A cryptobond that was just recently unlocked (6th of Jan 2023). Even after successful broadcast the pub key doesn't show any balance. The earlier cryptobond from 2021 worked.Total funds lost: 0.0065 + 0.0025 so far. Anyone else tried the cryptobonds that were unlocked a week ago? I wonder if any of them are funded. It was the History 2021-03 #15 Unreal. I just found an unfunded history 2020-2 #31 Never realized because all the others are indeed funded (at least for now). What a rollercoaster of emotions this evening.  For anyone trying to peel. I found the best way is a sharp knife into the corner of the holo. There is a clear plastic covering over the holo. If you can get under it and pop up the corner it peels with ease. I actually like how he did the holo once you peel one its super easy to do.
Nice tip. Will try it with the next one. My daemon cards peeled look like a gutshot, just the holo above the QR is off but the sourrounding rest still "intact". |

Oh man, I've never done that shit before, lol. Anyone good advice on how to peel with minimal damage to the holo and card itself? They stick VERY well. I love coldkeys but with the disappearing for 2 years leaving so many hanging - and then returning and flying into new projects before everyone was taken care of. I wanted to see him succeed, even loaning him funds (not too much, thankfully) to get stuff moving in 3rd qtr of 2022.
but now my coldkey collection is decimated, the loan is not paid back (was supposed to be paid back in October of last year) and he owes me 23 +2 cards (the +2 is for someone else) for a total of 25 cards owed....
this is devestating to a small collector like me.
I want to say I hope that it was not Yogg who did this - but if it wasn't him, that means his process was not as secure as he claimed for him to still have all these keys laying around. Even secured, there is absolutely zero reason to keep customers keys - Zero.
That's just sick, very sorry for that huge loss. And indeed, it's not just the loading + initial price of purchase, 2nd hand prices were much higher in part, so the devaluation of a whole collection is a HUGE loss. But I feel you, there were a ton of dark-orange flags and many of us including myself wouldn't want to see it. I had a conversation with a collector friend that I told "nah. he would never scam" just about two months ago about Yogg. Still hope it wasn't him, but there is not much room for any explanation that doesn't involve a very very big f-up on his side. |

There doesn't seem to be any public address list available. *BTW that's another red flag I didn't want to see. You should see the pub keys on your card and check via an explorer. :\ Use https://www.walletexplorer.com/for firstbits. *Or QR code, but sometimes older cameras have trouble reading the tiny code. |

I went through all comments, and I really can't believe this is happening.
I really hope you will find out and expose who and why this has been happening.
I have my own speculation, but I think it's too soon to share.

It can only be Yogg Some random thoughts on the matter: - why sweep some, not all at once - very strange, could be a hint for an attack. I can think of three scenarios right now: 1. It is Yogg, most obvious and most likely, given the circumstances / red flags* 2. It is someone that either a) had access to the keys in some way when the keys were created (but why wait sooo long to sweep most now?!) b) gained access recently, which would be almost as bad as 1) as imho there is NO REASON for any maker to store priv keys or seed phrases once products have been distributed. -> this could mean an attack is happening right now, since the website just went online apparently, very strange 3. Someone who was able to scan priv keys prior to shipping (reading off the already made cards) 3 seems super unlikely, so just forget that one. *Given all the red flag: - lack of communication going on for years - website down - yogg stepping down as "CEO" in favour of cygan recently |

I am glad I held back on the trigger with the last auctions on the halving sets, thinking "I really really like these sets but wanna keep the sat for some fine funded silver".
