Meanwhile, we have an update on Galliguez injury.

No concussion but Galliguez needs 20 stitches to close cut above eye

Quote
“I have 20 stitches of two layers under my eyelid. But the good news was that there’s no fracture,” said Galliguez, who was accompanied by Alaska’s long-time medical staff led by Dr. Facundo Sun and trainer Gus Vargas. “Everything was checked and it's OK.”

Thank God he is nothing was serious with the injury.
It was late for me to get into this discussion about Galliguez's injury but I've watched the reply of it last night. At the very first thought, it's a serious injury but that's good to know that it's not that serious at all. My dad even told that it's severe and near death, too much reaction for the my pops.  Tongue

I'll be having fun betting and winning against online bookies while it's the opposite if against a countrymen in this forum.
I feel you, this is much satisfying. Still, no book yet for the first game.

9203  Economy / Economics / Re: Look like covid is over Once we take loans on: November 16, 2020, 09:05:15 PM
There is no conspiracy behind having this covid pandemic. What we are experiencing is real. Of course, there will be business in between, but we can't avoid in this life. So to move on, we do need this vaccine to at least go back to semi-normal environment.
I'm always hearing a lot of them saying about the pandemic as a conspiracy theory. No to mention how this pandemic gave difficulty to those people who have experienced it personally and to those who have lost their loved ones. But as the vaccines are coming its trials and there were few who have said to be almost effective 100%, it is not for free so as usual we will think of it as a business. Business or not, buy the vaccine if you want to avoid the virus.
9204  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal to allow cryptocurrency buying, selling and shopping on its network on: November 16, 2020, 06:14:39 PM
With the added feature PayPal made, they've helped them purchase crypto easier.
Except that PayPal customers haven't actually purchased any real bitcoin that they have control of.
<...>
Not your keys, not your coins.

I do agree with both of you actually.
PayPal will be hugely important for the adoption, even if they provide their customers only shitty CFD’s.
One important aspect is btw that PayPal, as per Bitlicence, will effectively back those CFD’s with real bitcoins. So this  is why the effect has been felt on trading desks and markets.

Also, I can’t really see a no coiner that hasn’t bought a single satoshi until today passing from zero to self custody, while I see them evolving from nocoiner, to CFDer to Bitcoiner...slowly but steadily.
The impact by them did huge on its very first week. I may not use the feature as others as well but for their customers that don't want to test the waters using other exchange, find it more secure through PayPal. I agree that the term will come with that bold part of evolution for their customers. As it will open the idea that someday they'll find out new knowledge about crypto due to their curiosity that there are other better ways of purchasing crypto through other means.
9205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin movement launches its first limited edition streetware collection on: November 15, 2020, 11:18:06 PM
They're probably just using Bitcoin's brand recognition to sell clothing.
It's pure profit for them and easier to sell it because there will be no royalties from bitcoin. As much as others want to have this kind of fashion and style of wearing crypto logos, wordings and other related bitcoin clothing. It just made me realize that I'm scared of a wrench attack.

9206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategy advice on: November 15, 2020, 09:18:41 PM
I think sigle betting is the safest way to bet on sports betting because it has less risk compared to multy bet. If I want to establish myself to continue gambling every week on only one best team, will I be able to win more money at the end of the season? If not, what will cause me to lose at the end of the season ?

For example, I only bet on Manchester City every week until the end of the season with the assumption that Manchester City are able to finish the Premier League and enter the top 4 of the standing.
It varies. Even the best teams still lose. You can have an experiment and conduct that strategy that you have said but don't expect that it will give you the best results. But, if your trial runs pretty well then you're doing it correctly. As I'm saying, there's no guarantee that it will still be good in the long run. Add analysis and checking of roster changes and news about your best team so it will help you decide if it's good to bet or not.
9207  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal to allow cryptocurrency buying, selling and shopping on its network on: November 15, 2020, 08:26:53 PM
I actually find it strange if someone buys bitcoin via PayPal, why not buy it directly in the market instead of buying PayPal you have to pay a transaction fee, it could take 3 $ to $ 4 when buying bitcoin or altcoin, even though there is no fee at all in the market and the process also faster. Maybe some just want to try whether you can really buy bitcoin directly on PayPal or not? I think it's better to buy on the market directly than via PayPal because we often get a PayPal account with problems, either a permanent limit or a temporary limit, and we must upload documents.
PayPal just showed stats that they have 85% of Binance's volume upon their launch. That's a no joke stats and that was somehow expected due to its popularity. (https://cryptobriefing.com/paypal-reaches-85-binance-us-volume-first-month/)
Now, why is it that it's really hype when they've announced it and to answer your question. There are still a lot of people who own PayPal account and have a balance on it yet they don't trust any actual crypto exchange for transfers. With the added feature PayPal made, they've helped them purchase crypto easier.
9208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lebanon to launch digital currency in face of economic and financial turmoil on: November 15, 2020, 07:44:28 PM
Just the same news as the other countries who are already in the plans of making a CBDC. Whether they launch it during a good or bad economy, nothing will change that it is a currency that's still the same as the fiat which is being controlled by the government. It is a domino effect that other countries have seen which others have already announced their interest in launching their CBDC. In that case, they have seen that it is also necessary for them to make one.
9209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 1x2 vs the correct score bets on: November 14, 2020, 08:41:17 PM
The exact score is hard to hit. And just as you said, we have the same preference for tuning in which team is going to win instead of predicting the correct scores.
I'm not betting on soccer but checking the preference, it's easy to determine that I'll do the same as you if ever I'll start betting on soccer in the future.
9210  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paypal opening up app crypto users on: November 14, 2020, 07:33:06 PM
IMHO, PayPal has already embraced it. They are still in the learning stage and conducting what will be the implication and results of their actions. What makes me worry is if they will start to ride the exchanges and will build their own "DEX". Just like Binance as a known exchange, they are into innovation and development. Wherever the development will bring them, they'll go and do it because they can.

Paypal s a greedy profit driven company they want to explore Cryptocurrency and at the same time would like to retain features that continue to make them money, Decentralized exchange has become so very popular, we never know if PayPal would like to be one of the player, but where the money is PayPla will definitely explore that.
I'm only having that thought and who knows if they will consider those traders that only likes using a DEX. It's another profit for them that they wouldn't allow others to take advantage of it but only them. They have the idea of it already and the launching that they had seems to be a successful one. This could happen only if they are looking for more and I guess they understand it already.
9211  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paypal opening up app crypto users on: November 14, 2020, 01:18:18 PM
It is centralized until regulatory bodies issue regulations that make decentralization more difficult.

Decentralization is here to stay even if PayPal integrated Cryptocurrency I don't think the decentralization essence of Cryptocurrency will vanish, companies like PayPal just want to explore the technology of Cryptocurrency while trying to retain their centralized nature, this is actually like if you can't beat it join it thing, Paypal started this and many more will follow Paypal's lead.

9212  Economy / Speculation / Re: The influx of organizations towards bitcoin on: November 14, 2020, 10:44:54 AM
Still there are speculations and analyses that are connecting bitcoin to the US election that was held. But the main idea is that we're getting more institutional investors and they are not only buying bitcoin but they're also keeping it. Just like the normal bitcoin investor that buys and holds. But they all have the advantage because of the huge capital that they have. Cannot blame others emotion this time that they'll be in the midst of thinking of selling, they can think of it as its the peak for this year and will have a full exit.

I guess the price of Bitcoin will be in the same range until the end of the year, but surely after that there will be a fall and after that the price will stabilize. And we can wait for higher prices and expect progress.
Just like what happened two months ago.
If it plays with those ranges, that's fair and will give us confidence as we wait for the peak of it. Just as you have said, bitcoin stretched back to $15,700 and this is a common move for bitcoin.
Wait until it stabilizes again and if it will be having new support and resistance. The fall is just pull backs that are sure to come, those are the times that are good to buy just as it is now.
9213  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Pakistan has started work on legalizing bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on: November 14, 2020, 09:34:56 AM
The good news as it is that they won't be banning bitcoin anymore if there are already some rules being made for it. But the next problem is regulations. As what mostly says that you can't please everybody. There will be some people who will be against regulation because bitcoin is decentralized and it shouldn't be regulated. Yet there is no choice for it, for bitcoin to keep going and avoid a ban in Pakistan then it has to be regulated.
9214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 13, 2020, 11:37:35 PM
...The boy probably went through a mental stress and thought that everyone would be mad at him if they ever found out what he has done.

This is the sad thing about this. People don't need to be hard on themselves when they made these selfish mistakes, that is why we have these consequences so we can learn from them, not run from them. I don't blame the teenager for this, I just hope that people should try to strengthen themselves especially in these kinds of situations.
But the one who committed suicide is just a boy. He still doesn't know much about that, as he said, he probably thought that everyone will be mad at him or what. He borrowed money from his friend and try to take back his losses but lose all of it, in this case, a boy with a very young mind will probably face a mental stress and cannot think right.
It is common for teenagers to have a weak understanding and don't have mature mindsets. Most of them think that it's the end of the world whenever they get in trouble that is still fixable.
But the boy, like what we're thinking, does have a mindset that ain't that strong which led him doing that. Also there is a tendency that his friend will get mad at him but will still spare him, he didn't thought of it but decided to go the wrong way.
9215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 13, 2020, 10:33:11 PM
Even if i never knew this Indian boy my heart aches for his family and friends who are hurting because of his choice to take his own life.  To commit suicide is never the right thing to do and its so sad that nobody was able to help him.
It is a life's loss. Basically, we all have the same feeling even if we don't know the person. Even a friend of a friend, when unfortunate things comes like this we feel sad about that incident.
The boy probably went through a mental stress and thought that everyone would be mad at him if they ever found out what he has done.

9217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOT a replacement to the Stock Market/ traditional investments on: November 13, 2020, 08:25:10 PM
I don't recommend for anybody to replace their stocks with cryptos. It's always the best to have them both. But for someone that likes to take risk more than I could, I'm good to crypto only combination.
I have other traditional investments but not with stocks anymore. But if somebody decides to go all for crypto, he has to make sure that he knows what he do.

It is better to invest in both of them, because as we all know the price movement in crypto itself is very significant, of course this must also be aware of how much risk we can get when using it.
I agree with you but it depends to the appetite of the investor. And as I've said, I've dealt with other investments but not with the said asset but still relying with bitcoin because it's the most reliable.

Agree!
I would rather to have that stressful situation rather than missing out the opportunity for some possible recovery in case those other investment of yours are going on reds.
You would definitely had that chance of recovery since you can patch up on what you had lost.

When dealing with stocks then profits arent really that high basing on the lot size that you had put and since its volatility isnt really that high compared to crypto then
you would really be having that kind of slow or gradual loss into your portfolio unlike here where within a snap it can blow out your entire capital.
I have observed the stocks and I know that it's also a good investment but I have my own factors which I think, instead of going on it, I'll invest more with bitcoin and other assets that I like. I'm still applying the principle of baskets and eggs.
9218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recent situation of Cryptocurrency... on: November 13, 2020, 07:21:29 PM
What specific events you want to tell? they may affect the market but it doesn't make sense if the event is just coming from a nobody project. If it's a project that belongs to a group, a group that's very known in the crypto community it will really give a huge effect. And it will give greater effect if from that group, there's a personality that's very reputable and well-respected. Otherwise, events that you're saying won't give a lot of affection.
9219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asking About Riobet Casino on: November 12, 2020, 11:16:26 PM
A new website to me but why is it that the sorting of their options, faqs and other things under the page isn't inline together. About KYC, you can read their FAQ. I'm trying to understand it but other natives might understand it better.

Is the passport verification required?
The Administration may request your documents verification in order to ascertain that you are over 18 y.o., that you don't have any other accounts with us or due to other reasons.

To pass the verification you will need to go to your Account and then to the section Verification

No verification with documents is required for playing for real money.
It seems they will allow you to play there for real money without the need for verification but they can ask for your documents at whatever time they see fit, or at least that is what I get from the section of the FAQ you are quoting.

What most likely this means is that as soon as you want to make a withdrawal from the casino they are going to ask for your documents and if they are not happy they will just close your account or limit it, if I was the one pondering about whether to play in a casino or not I will just not play in that casino because of those conditions alone but it is up to the OP to decide whether he wants to play there anymore.
That's most likely what they're saying. And in most casinos FAQ and rules, they are all saying if the casino is a no-kyc casino, they will say that they can ask it anytime if it's immediate and needed. In reputable casinos, they're not shady as what others think with that rule.
It's only a matter of experience, if somebody has a bad experience with this casino then look for it before trying them out.

We do always have that common investment line;

"Dont put all your eggs in one basket"

This is why i do always consider on putting up some funds in stocks and at the same time i do put also in forex and then lastly is on crypto.
It might quite be a stressful thing yet handling multiple investments isnt easy as it sounds. Why would need to replaced if you can
engage with both?
It is stressful but there's always the good side of it. Whenever the other investments you have plummet, you always have the other investments which will make you recover. There could be times that all of them are going to bleed but as an investor, you know what exactly what to do if that time comes. I agree that engaging in both or as many as you can which will not compromise your productivity of monitoring it and managing it is still a better decision.
