9221  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN]Virtual Miner|Virtualminergame.com on: June 07, 2013, 11:19:14 AM
it requires a referall ID that is very dumb. I will fix that right away. In the mean time just use the referall code starsoccer

Done! Just FYI, it should be "starsoccer9." Without the 9 it didn't work, Smiley.
9222  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN]Virtual Miner|Under New Ownership|Virtualminergame.com on: June 07, 2013, 10:07:01 AM
yea its still displaying that as we are working on fixing the bug of the site not getting address from bitcoind. Also you can register and everything while it says bug fixing. The site works normal when it is like that. Which yes i agree is quite dumb but i didnt make the site and we havent had time to change it yet.

Removed most of the quotes to help clear this up a bit, :p.

Just wanted to let you know that in its current state you can't visit any pages (even register). All tell that it's in the bug fixing state. So you're good there!

Sorry my mistake you are right that you cant register. You can on the other hand login tho. Anyways we hope to have it fixed asap and will put in live soon.

Awesome! I just noticed the site is up and appears to be running (stats are showing up for people/pools/etc.). The downside is that I can't register because it requires a valid referral code...

9224  Other / Off-topic / Re: 10,000 BitCoin Loan [PAID BACK 20MILLION] on: June 07, 2013, 07:41:48 AM
acs26 is a scammer. I already provided him a one month loan of one billion btc, and he hasn't paid back a single satoshi. Scammer, I say. SCAMMER!

Sir, please read up a bit. I already let people know to be wary of him. He only sent me back 19,999,999 of the 20 mil he owed me, until I called him out on it. He tried to write it off as "transaction fees."

YOU WERE WARNED

Edit: he offered me a cam-show to say our deal was fully resolved so... our deal is fully resolved!
9225  Economy / Lending / Re: Pawn your forum accounts! BTC Loans using your forum account as collateral! on: June 07, 2013, 06:50:37 AM

I offer $2 in no-longer-used Canadian pennies.
9226  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshi Buckets - A new kind of Bitcoin game! HOUSE CUT ONLY 0.5% until June 9. on: June 07, 2013, 04:10:41 AM
To clarify: the minimum bet is still 0.01 BTC, but no bucket will fall until all buckets have at least 0.02 BTC.

Ah, thanks for clarifying! I inferred it as being that the minimum bet was 0.02, and I was thinking that would cut down on the number of players as a result.
9227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Devcoin on: June 07, 2013, 03:14:11 AM
I gotta correct myself.  I said a few days ago there were a few people with 70+K words so I asked why a winner was announced a few days early.  I looked at the distribution again and the people who show 70K or more that's actually their total.  One has to look at the last column (Payout) to see the total from this round or round 24.  And in that case there's nobody even close to the 77K "Lawyer" did in which case I see why the results were announced.

Man, it was much harder than I thought to do a significant amount of writing without burning out.  Wish I could program, that would be a lot more fun.

Congrats to Lawyer, 77K is a crazy amount to write.  I nearly broke myself and I got significantly less than that. lol.

I have over 80k registered for this round...
9228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Multi-Coin][Stratum] - multipool.in - Always mine the most profitable coin on: June 07, 2013, 03:13:23 AM
Looks like we have around 45 Mh on the multiport right now and smooth sailing.

I'm back on it now and things are looking great! (I was the one going back and forth with you via email btw).

I lost 18 hours of mining though because there were storms early this morning and I use a WISP (Wireless ISP -- uses antannaes) and the tower we connect to got a direct lightning strike this morning and apparently it fried absolutely everything on it.
9229  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Branded Bitcoin Tablet Devices on: June 06, 2013, 07:07:54 AM
CAMERAS: None
I would buy it just because of that.
They put that shit everywhere nowadays.

I wouldn't really discount the camera. It all depends on what the tablet ends up being used for. If it's got specific, very niche things related to it, the camera will likely not fit in well. But if it's a tablet you will be carrying around, an extra camera never hurts! Imagine your phone is dead and you end up in a car wreck. BAM, instant camera!

mfw this isn't enough of a hint of what they are...

I'm going to go buy some peanut butter and give it to someone that's allergic to peanuts so we can sue the peanut butter company because we didn't realize it was made from peanuts.
9231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Multi-Coin][Stratum] - multipool.in - Always mine the most profitable coin on: June 06, 2013, 03:00:31 AM
When it made the switch from MNC to LTC today, it threw off my miner completely. Now it's still mining (3k more shares) but is getting no credit for MNC *or* LTC, and the site claims I'm mining both with 0 shares. Restarted the miner with no luck now either. Prior to the switch from MNC -> LTC it worked flawlessly.

And I am using the port 7777.

9233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DGC] My Four Cents (Giveaway) on: June 06, 2013, 01:12:08 AM
In honor of DigitalCoin's recent spike on cryptsy to a value of 4.5 cents each, I'll give away 4.5 DGC to the first 222 people who post their DGC address below. I'm just feeling generous today.

Additionally, if you ask like a pirate and post your Doubloon address, I'll also send you 4.5 doubloons to add to your treasure chest, because I enjoy the pirate talk.

One warning, you'll have to be patient. I'm not on the forums all day long.

Enjoy.

EDIT: 151 people have received personal gifts so far (679.5 DGC), and 6 people have requested the dev fund (48.5 DGC)

Thanks to iamrickrock, digit, Carra23, dudeami, and pjheinz for the inspiring pirate talk.

Thanks to techbytes, baritus, jbmiller10, nearmiss, and AbiTxGroup for requests to the dev wallet. If you want me to send to the dev wallet, the address is DHgXvhswV9j3t9VTKu1QfAu6kYM1HHD5sJ and I will send double DGC.

Need a DGC wallet? Check out the main digitalcoin thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=209508.0

Need a pirate chect to hold your loot? Here's the main port for doubloons! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=206361.0

Pick me please, :p

Not sure what you mean by reward system. Right now you can treat the game like an investment if you wanted to. Buying hardware and getting coins and eventually hoping to sell the coins on the exchange and make back more money.I am also looking into a way to make the site and its purpose decentralized but this will be must later after i have other things in place first.

Been getting errors when loading the site so haven't been able to check it out.

So you mean that it's farming actual coins? I was under the impression it was just like a simulator game.

No it isnt actual coins. When I said investment i meant because one could simply buy virtual hardware and mine virtual coins with it. Then sell those coins on the exchange and in the end wind up with more BTC then you started with

Ah, got ya. I'm not seeing how the coins will have real value though if they aren't real ones. I think maybe I'm just realllllllly confused here. Is the entire thing just a game, or do you mean farming the fake coins and then trading them to other players for actual coins?

The coins arent real. Its fine if your confused as its my job to unconfuse(if thats a word) you haha. The entire thing is a game. You farm fake coins but can trade for actual coins for example BTC.

Ohh, I get it now. That answers the original question then too (whether this was a game where we can earn actual rewards). Any info on when the site/game should be up to see how it all works? Atm still getting the error 500.
I do apologize for that. At the moment the site should be up with no errors just says that it we are doing bug fixes. Right now the mining part of the site isnt working and we are trying to get it working. We are trying to put everything so it autoruns on the server starting up so we wont have to worry about it again in the future. I hope to have the site up tommarow at the latest working

Sounds great! On a good note, the error's gone and now the page loads (with the message you stated about bug fixing), Smiley.
Yea right now everything is preety much live and fixed except that the bitcoin address arent being made by our bitcoind for some reason

By "live" you just mean that it's ready? Still getting the "bug fixing" message when I load the site.
9235  Economy / Lending / Re: Pawn your forum accounts! BTC Loans using your forum account as collateral! on: June 05, 2013, 04:48:11 PM
If I give you my pub key will you PM it to me?

Lol! that was a joke. Its not that secret, but I'm not going to tell anyone else my business plan.

Uh? If you borrow money from a bank, you know what will happen to your collateral. They tell you.

If you borrow money from a loan shark, you know what will happen if you don't pay. They tell you.

You (get into any agreement dealing with collateral or loans), you know what will happen if they don't pay. They tell you.

In case you're not catching on, what you're doing seems really shady when you won't even tell what you're going to do with the accounts should someone not repay you.
9236  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I asked Chipotel to accept Bitcoin... RESPONSE! on: June 05, 2013, 04:34:59 PM
...You really think that if you spam working people with moronic emails they will start to like stupid bitcoins? ...

Yes. In fact it is the best way to get the attention of businesses. Most of the businesses that now take bitcoin came to it via their paying customers.

This is true. Businesses do what they can to make things easier on their customers. If they didn't, people would just go elsewhere and they'd go out of business.

It would have been a lot better if it said "we don't currently have plans, but..." Reading that seemed like an "we haven't even given it any thought, so good luck on anything happening anytime soon, if at all."

I'd wager that Bitcoin is still generally unknown to the majority, though it is steadily gaining traction.  But at least they've now been introduced to them.

With it being in the news and such, I'm sure they knew at least a little, :p.

Sorry to ask always newbie-like questions.
I never played any lotto or similar games.
I just want to win my ignorance.

My given numbers were

Dexter   0.338140355992   19   53   23   48   55   37

So, I got two numbers. But how do you establish the winner?

Sorry for the dumb question, thankx for the patience.

Yeah, I would think it would be like the real lottery -- choose whoever got the most right. Appears the two that were listed above as possible winners had none of them right.

Edit: Cryptopi got one right... the other had 0.

What QR code are you guys talking about? Is the "V" in the logo a QR code? No smart phone here (gasp) so can't test myself, just curious, :p.

Yeah thats a QR tried to make it sexy.

Oh wow, that's pretty cool. What does it link to?
