9221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse on: March 15, 2018, 06:33:59 PM
The fighting Senator of the Philippines Manny Pacquiao announced that he is fighting this coming June 24 at Malaysia. The possible opponent is Lucas Matthysse the current WBA light welterweight champion.

For those of you who is not familiar with Lucas Matthysse below is his Boxing Record

Total fights - 44
Wins - 39
Wins by KO - 36
Losses - 4
No contests - 1

What we know so far is Freddie Roach has not committed himself yet to train Manny for this fight. Bob Arum is the the promoter for this fight, it will be De la Joya's Golden Boy Promotions and Manny's MP Promotion.

Earlier it known that Manny was asked to be an under card for Jeff Horns fight but Manny rejected the offer. There were also rumors that Manny can't fight in the US like in Las Vegas because he has issues with the IRS "again".

Lucas Matthysse is no pushover. Although he has 4 losses on his record, he is a big puncher, and has fought a lot of fighters during their prime (Zab Judah, Devon Alexander, Danny Garcia) which he all lost, although its very controversial. His last lost is against Victor Postol (which we all know was destroyed by Crawford). He was even touted as the next Manny Pacquiao, however that fight with Postol was ugly and he went into hibernation after that because he needs to undergo a eye-surgery. Its also interested to note that his fellow Argentinian Marcos Maidana, another big puncher, gave Floyd one hell of a fight. And who wouldn't remember Maidana's destroying Adnier Broner. LOL. Its really hard to predict the fight though, as I believed that both (specially Manny) doesn't have it anymore. It would be nice to see them fight like 5 years ago, however, its not to late to see those big puncher getting at it this 2018.
9222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford Vs Horn on: March 15, 2018, 06:15:56 PM
There are also reports that Manny didn't approved of him fighting in this undercard vs Mike Alvarado. But instead will be going against hard hitting Lucas Matthysse in Malaysia.
There we're reports that the pride of the Philippines Manny Pacquiao cannot fight in the US soil because according to Bob Arum he is in trouble again with the IRS. He has an unpaid tax amounting to 68 Million USD since 2016 and I guess the tax man running after Manny now and besides Manny still have a lot of followers, it will be disrespectful if you put him in a fight card as an undercard.

Hmmm. Interesting. I never though that Manny has still problems with the IRS. It was reported as settled already, but I'm might be wrong. I think this is just a rumor that Bob was trying to spread around, as we all know that Manny doesn't want to fight as under card, as least as co-main headliner will suffice. If I may add, there was a report as well that he is no longer under Arum, that's why he will be fighting in Malaysia. Let's see how the Arum-Manny drama, it may escalates to something bigger than the tax issues here. He's been Arum's cash cow for decades now, but it makes sense for Arum to say negative things to Manny today as we all know that the Senator is already past his prime and Arum has a new cash cow in either Crawford or Horn.
9223  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC slumps again, is it heading for 6K or lower prices? on: March 14, 2018, 12:53:32 PM
Yeah, we are still not out of the Mt. Gox ghost from the past and it has somewhat an impact to the current price. As far as I know, the price is holding above $8000 and its very strong. We have been bouncing around $8800-$9200 but I don't think that it will go lower than that unless something of another FUD that will make the price dip to almost the last bottom that we have witnessed ($5500-$6000). But then we all know what we gonna do if we breach $6000, time to buy more coins so better prepare you funds right now just in case. In any case, I will not be that stupid to dump by coins, I will prefer to hold and look at it the bright side. We have been in much worst situation before but eventually get up and see the light at the end of the tunnel.
9224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what you should do crisis time in trading ? on: March 14, 2018, 12:35:24 PM
I saw many people are struggle with money management in crisis time and loose their attentions. as result many people get frustrated. they will try to get out from this situation very badly ..what do you think how you can manage your money in this situation or what would be your step?

We have been preaching that at this current situation that we are in, the best thing to do is jut hold on your coins and do not do anything something stupid like offloading your coins and take the lost. Yes I have to agree that we are in a crisis as the price keeps going on a downward spiral. However, this is just a test for all of us. And this is not the first time that we have been seeing this kind of price movement. My advise is that you shouldn't be too emotional and just think of getting out because the price is sinking. You need to have that kind of resilience and confidence that at the end everything will be fine and that we will be successful eventually. You should also look at the long term. Like 6 months to 1 year down the line. Last year alone we started < $1000 and ended up almost $20000. So think about that. If you keeps on selling every time there is a dip then crypto is not for you. You need to have a nerve of steel and mental toughness here, otherwise you and your money will not grow. IMHO.
9225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thai Finance Minister Support Cryptocurrency Sector on: March 14, 2018, 12:24:05 PM
It could be good because it adds legitimacy to Bitcoin. I mean, if you know nothing about it Bitcoin itself, but it's at least legit enough to be recognized and regulated by your Securities and Exchange Commission, wouldn't you think it's okay to get involved? Let's just hope they regulate in moderation. It's better than a ban either way.

you guys exaggerating issues just to have something to talk.or might find attentions,it was FORMER FINANE MINISTER

Lol true but it looks like the guy still wields a fair amount of influence, being the chairman of the TFA and all.

Correct, and I really like what the Thais is doing. They have seek feedback from all sectors, not just the their local SEC but the Ministry of Finance and the AML office so I think its a step forward legitimacy in the country.

Quote
However, the deputy PM stressed that the intent is not to ban cryptocurrency activities, such as trading and initial coin offerings, but rather to establish formal rules to protect investors.

https://www.coindesk.com/thailands-cabinet-moves-to-regulate-and-tax-cryptocurrencies/

So its much better than a ban. At least the Thai government is extending all effort not to ban crypto but just havinga regulation to protect the interest of their citizens. Let's see how it goes and most of the Asian country's are putting pressure from other nations as well to adopt crytpo's in general or be left out in this new revolution.
9226  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-14] Philippines Lawmaker Seeks Tougher Penalties for Crypto Crimes on: March 14, 2018, 12:12:39 PM
Filipinos face heavier sentences for crimes involving cryptocurrencies if a proposed new bill is passed into law.

According to a press release from the Philippines Senate on Mar. 13, opposition senator Leila M. de Lima has filed a bill - SB 1694 - to the country's legislative house, seeking to raise penalties for crimes involving cryptocurrencies to one degree higher than currently.

De Lima also proposed that the actual harshness of the sentence should also take into account the value of the cryptocurrencies' worth in Philippine pesos at the time the crime was committed. The crimes targeted, as the senator elaborated, may include payment for child pornography and bribery of public officials.

https://www.coindesk.com/philippines-lawmaker-seeks-tougher-penalties-for-crypto-crimes/

You also need to understand that the lovely Senator is not a sitting senator because she is currently behind bars on alleged involvement on drug charges. So this is the worst articles I have seen in recent months, and does not carry any weight, as far as I'm concern. I think this is another news to really put a lot of question regarding crypto in the Philippines. The country is crypto friendly as far as we know so I hope that this news will not bring any negatives as far as Filipino is concern because the senator herself have has cases against her involving questionable trades including drugs. I'm so disappointed though that as if Philippines is totally against crypto but its not the case so far. In other news, the fighting Senator of the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao has now investing in crypto as well: (https://coconuts.co/singapore/news/boxer-manny-pacquiao-investing-singaporean-cryptocurrency-startup/).
9227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez tested positive on a banned substance on: March 10, 2018, 01:51:26 PM
Every sport athlete that is caught with steroids on their system has a lot of excuses. But it looks like this meat contamination in Mexico has a lot of athletes affecting as far as going back as 2011. And almost all athletes has been affected as well.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/drugsinsport/8835036/Clenbuterol-positives-due-to-meat-contamination-gives-fresh-hope-to-Callum-Priestley-and-Alberto-Contador.html

I don't know but its seems fishy to me. This has been outbreak ever since so I think that camp should be very careful what his team is feeding him. Although I was quite surprise Canelo's performance during the first fight. I still JMM monstrous look during the last Pacquiao fight so it really hard not to be suspicious athletes from Mexico. I'm thinking that they maybe masking steroids abused all the while, IMHO.

Here:

Some of them are calling the site a SCAM and it looks like those who are saying that they isn't is either a paid schill or part of their team to bring somewhat a credibility because they have been busted for their fraudulent acts.

Misspelling sometimes are a sign that website cannot be trusted. How can a simple spelling mistakes can't be fix? They should have at least proof-read it. Looks unprofessional to me. So I agree with all the verdict here.
9229  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: METROBitcoinMiner.com is legit ? on: March 10, 2018, 12:09:57 PM
Thank a look at this old thread:

metrobitcoinminer.com selling Antminer U3, is it legit? - (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1745713)

Well. For the record. Nothing ever arrived. So I filed a case and that was decided in my favor today.

Nothing lost. An experience gained.

Now looking for some other way of generating bitcash.

The OP ordered, and paid using Paypal. He's lucky he uses that payment scheme, otherwise if he have bought it using his bitcoin then its goodbye. So I suggest you stay away at that website because its been proven as scam site. Just be careful and do your research and probably ask the members here just to make sure. Better be safe than sorry.
9230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying BTC below 10,000 USD? on: March 10, 2018, 11:56:12 AM
Im starting to trade and i want your opinion:

Do you think that if i buy "x" amount of BTC for any price below $10,000 USD will get me a profit on a long term (>1 year)?

I know is unpredictable but i want to know what you guys think.

Thanks in advance.

Of course, with bitcoin's proven track record, I have no doubt that you can double or triple your investment if you are going to bought at the current price. Actually, that's one strategy the most long term holders do. Wait for a dip, then go buy a lot of coins, hold on it and when there another dip down the line, enter the market once more rinse and repeat. And then just sit it out on your wallet and go back after a year or so and see how your investment grow. Less hassle and headache for you as you don't have to do anything and the chance of you getting huge returns are big in the future.
9231  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Could Hit $1 Trillion This Year on: March 10, 2018, 04:05:47 AM
"Cryptocurrency market could hit $1 trillion this year with bitcoin surging to $50,000, experts say"
Hopefully, it will come true!!!

You don't need to be "experts" if you are going to predict that bitcoin can go break $50,000 or it $1 Trillion marketcap, all you have to do is to "speculate".  Usually those so called experts have a lot of stakes in bitcoin. Maybe they are bag holders or have clients who have huge amounts of bitcoins. So I wouldn't be surprise for them to very bullish about it. Remember John McAfee's 1 Million prediction? Yes he did predict it because he wanted to influence his followers on twitter on anyone for that matter which will resulted a very huge financial gains for him in the future. Let's see how it goes at the end of the year, its gonna be a hit or a miss. Just don't put too much expectations, so that you won't be disappointed at the end.
9232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEW Dapp BOUNTY PROGRAM WITH CRYPTO SPORTZ on: March 10, 2018, 04:00:26 AM
I don't know man, it looks like you have a promising sports website here. I like the design its very simple and easy to navigate. I guess you really need exposure, perhaps a good signature campaign will really exposed your website to a lot of gamblers here. However, it looks like you need funding or investment to bring your sports website to the next level. Why don't you try at least a 1 week signature campaigns though and see how it goes for you? Goldluck!!!

Hey thanks so much for the kind words and honesty. This one week signature campaign...do you know of any successful start ups that have completed a campaign like this? If you know of any please share!

Hey,

I can point you to this thread:

Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns - (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0)

As you can see all the signature campaigns are in there. You can have to check the changelog though and see which campaign has been moved out or just ended. I can't tell exactly which is just a one and done campaign.

P.S. bitFlyer USA Official Signature Campaign - (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3008858.0)

Although its not a gambling related website, the campaign just ran for 1 week. Again, I can't gauge if they are successful or not. But at least as I have said, exposure is needed to get potential costumers.
9233  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-09] Bitcoin Drops to $8,300 as Mt. Gox Trustee Sell Off Continues, Mark on: March 10, 2018, 03:40:32 AM
I thought that the lawyer holding the Mt. Gox bitcoins already dumped part of the stash that was entrusted to him last year. The $1.7 billion worth of bitcoins that he still have under his control is expected to be unloaded any time in the future to pay off their debts. Whatever his intent is, the coins that he released may not have that much of an effect to the current decline of bitcoin's value. Bitcoin was unable to break beyond $11 600 last week thus the market is trying to consolidate this time around and may level by next week. There may be another attempt to breach $12 000 next month.

He has been offloading from December-March as previously reported. And that span we have seen bitcoin on a wild swing and yet we can't identify what really brought the market to behave this erratic. So it looks like we have a clearer picture as to who or what might have been the reasons of all the price corrections.

This was poorly handled by the trustee and the people around him. The best way to convert that much coins is to do either an action or an OTC private sale.

Doesn't the trustee know his actions are negatively affecting everyone in the whole cryptospace? I reckon he's either very stupid or has malicious motives.

Can't really tell at this point. Someone needs to knock his head and bring sanity to him. His actions has already put too much pressure on the market already. Yeah, OTC will be good or work it from behind. Contact big trading platform and do the trade privately. I reckon he is not that stupid. But have other motives as well.
9234  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-07] Russia Drafts Law to Criminalize the Use of Cryptocurrencies as Mon on: March 09, 2018, 12:21:32 PM
Russia is becoming rather unfriendly to the crypto-currency, and this is very sad. This country, which is large in terms of territory and in terms of the number of people, practically comes out of the crypto-currency market.
Apparently, while the current leadership is in power in this country, the desire of the bulk of the population to use the crypto currency will be ignored.

LOL. As I have said numerous times already, Russia will not be friendly to bitcoin or any other crypto's. Not even Vitalik's Ethereum. That's why I chuckled everytime I see articles coming from Russia saying this and that. LOL. Of course they don't f** care about the population, the leadership will not allow anything that will give power to the people. They want their people to hold on to something that will give them freedom like crypto's. And besides, just take note how the Russian authorities completely contradicts themselves. Where are the bitcoin mining farms that they are boasting last year? How about regulations? NADA. And the only victims here is the Russian crypto community and as much as they are going to petition or pressure the government, I don't think that they will just listen to them.
9235  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to Crash further till 1000$? on: March 09, 2018, 12:11:25 PM
Ohhh we are on dip again. Price is now $8,700

Eventually bull phase will be over.
Also eventually this bear phase will end soon but for now this bearish trend needs to be done. And for those who remains to be faithful needs to wait until the price of bitcoin goes up again.
Whales are already leaving the market, look at the dip in number of transactions on daily basis. High transaction fees, high trading fees aren't the good sign for any commodity. And there is not much place left for small investors to gain profit.

What do you mean leaving the market because of high transaction. Last time I check mempool is not that clogged so fees are that small. What we really seeing is that a Mt. Gox trustee is simply dumping huge amount of bitcoin causing a lot of pressure on the market. So it causes domino effect, panic selling follows resulting to the current situation that we are witnessing.

disagree. People can get in ride up the profit and then sell at the peak and then rebuy. You can make money if you are a crafty trader. With 1 BTC you could make $1000 or so a week (sometimes a day). It takes balls though to play this game and don't risk more than you can afford to lose.

Dan

Of course everyone should ride the waves to make a lot of money. But yeah, you need to have balls here because its very nerve wracking and the risk is very high. So its either you make lots of money doing it, or lose everything in an instant. So you need to be very careful as well.
9236  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC right now on: March 09, 2018, 11:55:39 AM
Right now it is rapidly decreasing because they sell their bitcoin too much . In that case , I wont look at bitcoin's value for a while to avoid being stressed . Im sure that it wont lasts too long.

I guess to not be stress seeing the dip right now, why don't you look at the bright side and buy bitcoin because its really a good buying point. I will wait till it touches $8,000 before making my move. However, it looks like there is some resistance at $8000 and hope it recovers around $9000 in the next coming days.

It is typical for bitcoin to have redress after a long level of purchasing, so this is ordinary. In addition, in the wake of testing the upper piece of the downtrend line, I would think of it as endeavoring to backpedal to recover some more power and accompany some power to retest it and on the off chance that it likely breaks it, we ought to go test the following protection around $11k and check whether we can break it, yet one good thing is that it removes us from the downtrend channel which is the thing that everybody is longing for the present moment.

I'm sorry but have you check the price lately? We have broken $9000 already and soon might be heading back to $8000 again. So I don't know how are we going to test $11000 at this time. We are in a current dip, a downtrend and its really hard for us to move further because of lots of negative that happened in the last couple of days. (Binance issue, SEC announcement and Japanese Mt. Gox trustee dumping).
9237  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-09] Bears in Control, But Bitcoin Eyes $8K Defense on: March 09, 2018, 11:45:13 AM
The bears have nothing to do with this price crash. This is just another combination of FUD and regulatory pressure coming from the western governments and central banks, that has an influence over the price.
Perhaps there`s a btc price pattern about this.At the first week of every month the btc price goes down, but it recovers untill the end of the month. We have to wait for a few months to see is this really a pattern.
Anyway,i`ve sold all my btc at 11,320 USD,so i couldn`t be happier. Grin

LOL. You made the right moved them. But how about how who still holds? This is really a bit disappointed for us but we can't do anything but continue to hold I guess. You also forgot to mentioned that the price going south has something to do with someone from Japan, dumping huge amount of bitcoin because he needs to pay the creditors.

http://bitcoinist.com/tokyos-bitcoin-whale-has-sold-400-million-and-thats-just-the-start/

And that put a lot of pressure in the current situation. So the bears took the top position again. The Binance effect is not that significant because they quickly made the necessary actions. I did this bearish trend was really brought by this Mt. Gox trustee who decided to dump everything at this critical moment.
9238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: March 09, 2018, 11:37:02 AM
Finally after the long wait of Derrick Rose die hard fans, he is now officialy signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He is basically have no team since he was traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Honestly, Rose didn't expecting anymore some highlights on his career. He only wants to show people that he can still play despite of his unfortunate experienced in his career.

And guess what, he will be reuniting with his former teammates in Chicago Bulls, Taj Gibson and Jimmy Butler. And the one who handles him during his best career season back in 2010-11 where he was named as the youngest MVP will be his coach again, Coach Tom Thibodeau.

People don't have to tell Rose that he needs to hang his jersey now or something else. It's hard for him to accept that in early age and let's us allow him to play until he decided to hang his jersey.

I hope that reuniting with his former coach will someone put some spark with him. He has his best career with the Bulls and reuniting with his former coach will like a homecoming for him. Well we all know what happened to him after that unfaithful incident that jeopardize his career. Yeah, I think he knows when to hang up his jersey. Maybe he still feels that he still has something within him. He can still contribute and he should improved his shooting to be able to add something to the Wolves.

LOL. You have been here in the market for 3 months and its fairly short time to really assess how you are doing. And the timing is also that bad. You should joined during the madness in December.  Grin. But seriously, every new things you learn everyday is considered a success. Its not just monetary that you can gain here. You can broaden our knowledge and I'm sure in the future you are going to tap on it specially making the right decision. Give yourself a bit more time to go around the forum and learn the tips and tricks of more senior members here. You just need to stay calm and keep going dude.
