9261  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-08-06] Bitcoin To Benefit From Facebook’s Internet.org Project on: August 06, 2015, 03:34:05 PM
To use Bitcoin properly, an active internet connection is needed. Regardless of whether that connection comes in the form of WiFi or mobile data connectivity, sending and receiving Bitcoins benefits from an internet connection at some point.

9262  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: August 06, 2015, 03:32:12 PM
Well, if you do not have skills - like programming, graphic stuff, writing etc - there is no much space to earn Bitcoins easily. You can buy a higher ranked account in order to get higher rates for posting. For instance, you can buy a Full Member account for less then 0.1 BTC. if you post reguarily you will need around 2-3 weeks to amortize your costs.

Now I'm making 0.01btc a week by doing signature campaigns. Is there any way to increase my Bitcoin in a less time and I don't like scamming other people.
9263  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: August 06, 2015, 03:29:26 PM
i would suggest something like a wiki page where everyone - e.g. signature campaign owners - can edit the site and multiple mods have the right to approve it.

The best person to run this thread would be staff members. Mitchell has recently become a staff member, if he is having difficulty running it, he should probably involve the other staff members in this activity as it is clearly difficult for 1 person to manage the entire show. My 2 satoshi.  Grin
9264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening with Namecoin? on: August 06, 2015, 03:26:15 PM
Yeap, but the activity there is pretty limited.
Some subforums have not had new posts since over a months.
So, the worries of OP are eligible.

t's simply that the lack of discussion about Namecoin is worrying me.
Discussion on Namecoin development goes on in the namecoin forums.

9266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin improvements in the future on: August 06, 2015, 03:20:26 PM
As you already mentioned, POS feature and limitation of coin amount would be a good start. Further, there should be something like a in-wallet stock exchange. DOGE should use its popularity to bring people, investors and startup founders to ask for capital through crowdfunding over the blockchain.
9267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make Bitcoin transactions untraceable? on: August 06, 2015, 03:16:28 PM
Great, this is actually what i was looking for. it needs some time to follow the steps but it works fine for me  Roll Eyes

Stealth payments can also be used for making your transactions less traceable.

Okay, thanks for letting us know. i made the update and it seems that everything is working fine.

Depending on your progress you might bring it up to 6000 or even higher.
This would give everybody time to upgrade and have a go at these.

Hey, have no worries I will give everybody atleast 200 Blocks worth of time to update before they do kick in

Thanks

Got it. Missed your post. Went back and read it. Thank you!!

And no problems at all mate I can't expect people to keep troweling through previous posts.

Will update ANN

Thanks

9271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to measure Bitcoin popularity? on: August 06, 2015, 03:06:35 PM
I think the best way to measure popularity is by the price, but also the number of transactions happening every day.

The price could easily be manipulated thus, it is not a good measurement. Lets say there is a big investor who invests $100 mln into Bitcoin. The would cause a price explosion. But it would say nothing about the popularity.

According an article of NewBTC, UBS and Barclays are experimenting with Ethereum. Could it be a really serious competitor to Bitcoin?

Macintosh’s First Firmware Worm Developed, Bitcoin Implications Dire?

For many years, two major computer operating systems have been considered to be more secure than Microsoft’s Windows. Both Mac OS and Linux have been less plagued by viruses, worms, trojan horses, and all kinds of malicious software, even though the number of threats against Linux systems is on the rise.

9274  Economy / Economics / Re: EUR might drop below USD on: August 06, 2015, 12:39:40 PM
There is one more factor that could let drop Euro against USD and other currencies. China. Chinese government has bought over one trillion of currency reserves in Euro over the years. Now, the government started to sell a part of the reserves in order to support the current Chinese stock market crisis. if they decide to sell more, then the market got flowed by Euros what causes a higher drop of Euro value.

41 days to go until the Fed will decide whether to increase to interest rate or not. if the rate increases - probably to 0.25% - then it is very likely that the Euro breaks the parity to USD and even drop below.
wow , whats happening all of a sudden to Euro , it was way more than USD before (as far as I can recall) and now I'm reading as what you said that it might get even lower than USD

9278  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: August 06, 2015, 10:59:40 AM
...
There are many opportunities on different campaigns to earn much more than 0.1 btc per week from signature campaign, you don't need to spam, just login once or twice a day and give responses to people genuinely, the more significant and useful the post is, the better you are paid. ...

Could you name such signature campaign programs please? i am currently do not know any signature campaign where you can make more than 0.15 BTC a week.

Are you serious? Shocked What is the reason for this expectation? in my wildest fantasies i would only expect a price around $500.

I expect $5k-$10k/btc after halving.
