1  Economy / Services / Re: BC.Game - Crypto Casino | Sig Campaign on: April 08, 2024, 03:41:27 PM
Thanks everyone for a great week / Payments for 41 week are on their way. [Exchange rate: 72,000]

It seems to me that 30 posts a week is an impossible task for many participants, so starting next week the quota will be reduced (but the amount of payments per post will be increased) .. I’m still undecided, but I think that we will return to “merits” as the main indicator. On April 15, I will publish new payout rates (but I can already say that the upper limit will be $4 per post).

- Btw, please do not forget that any post written after page 250 will not be taken into account.
- Below you can also see a list of boards that are ignored.

-snip-

Thanks for the bounty this week!

On the one hand, it is understandable that posts after the 250th page should no longer be compensated. On the other hand, it is actually difficult (especially in the gambling section) to participate in discussions and find threads that have less than 250 pages. Because of their history, they are large naturally. Since I also take part in it a lot, a bigger part of my posts will not be counted anymore. And there are no alternative threads on certain topics. Similar to other large discussion threads in the forums.

As I said, I understand this step from your point of view and also from the BCGames point of view, but perhaps it is better to find another solution e.g. that posts after the 250 page are only compensated for half.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to handle emotions when you lose during trading. on: April 08, 2024, 03:32:43 PM
Look the best way to control your emotions is to make up your mind that trading is only a side income and you can't be completely dependent on it. I know some people will say that it's a full time opportunity blah blah. It can be true but it brings a lot of stress with It if we go with it as a solo option for earning.

You have to make sure that you only invest the amount that is spared and not needed for a long time. If that money is gone it shouldn't affect your life. Yet you'll be a little bit affected by the loss and that's natural to try to control your nerves. When you go through these types of situations spend time with your loved ones who will love you no matter what your financial conditions are you'll definitely feel better.
Trading only becomes stressful and frustrating when you trade using your own hard-earned funds that only end up with losses. That will really make you sick with trading, most especially if you made it as your main source of income, when in reality it shouldn’t be due to its high risk and highly unpredictable outcome. So the best solution is probably never trade if you think the market condition is not suitable to trade, and trade only as your side hustle, so that losses might still be bearable since you’re not trading for survival, but just for extra income.

What other money do you want to use than your own hard-earned money? That of others like FTX? Or do you want to borrow it via loan?

Either way, the pain is big anyway. With your own hard-earned money, you're still best off. Because the money is "just" gone. With the second and third (through fraud or loan), you could even go to jail.
Losing money is always hard to accept, so you should only use what you can lose without running yourself ragged.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins on the Solana Chain are still thriving. on: April 08, 2024, 03:26:51 PM
What are your thoughts on this? Do you believe this trend will continue to grow, or is it just overhyped speculation?

Meme coins are always thriving in times like that, where almost everything is rising in the shadow of the Bitcoin bull run. This pattern can be observed since the beginning of crypto or, in particular, since the emergence of meme and shitcoins. However, 99% will disappear again in the next bear market at the latest and new ones will enter the stage again in the next bull run.
Play them as long as the music is playing, but get rid of them as soon as the wind changes, otherwise you risk losing everything.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking profits / being greedy. on: April 08, 2024, 03:23:10 PM
I am just after a bit of advice as have not been in this position before. I am currently invested in an altcoin that has given me a 24x return so far and just wondering how I should play it. I took out my investment so now holding my bag for free.

Depending on the coin/token. Since you do not have mentioned it, I must answer in general. 24x is a big profit. It was the right decision in my opinion to take out your initial investment to be save no matter what is going to happen. In the course of my "crypto career" I was oftentimes in the same position, especially in this high volatile phases around 2017/2018. I would take the chips from the table little by little. You should think about a payout plan like, lets take out 10% every week from now. If the price is still rising you will take further profits. If the coin is going down you can accerlerate the process, by going from 10 to 20% a week or even more.

But all depends on how you personally think of the future of the coin or token. If it is a shit coin, I would take everything from the table immediately.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Technology and work ethics on: April 08, 2024, 03:17:23 PM
I understand the importance of monitoring workers to ascertain there level of productivity, and to improve workers attendance and also enhance Cyber security but then, the inability of most management to go about this ethically has been of great concern to me.

What's your view about this?

Interesting points. While technology has undoubtedly transformed the modern workplace and brought about numerous benefits, like it has significantly improved the efficiency of employees by optimizing their daily working routines and enabling them to focus on the most important tasks. However it is crucial for organizations to address the ethical implications of technology in the workplace. Balancing the advantages of technology with ethical considerations and respect for an employees privacy is essential for fostering a positive and productive work environment.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right to advice other people against gambling for personal reasons like?? on: April 08, 2024, 03:14:32 PM
To be honest, I don't find anything wrong with a person telling others not to do what he has done just so that they don't face the same negative consequences as he did, and as far as gambling is concerned, we know how addictive it can be and anyone who gets addicted to it tends to lose more money than they can afford to lose eventually, and that is all because they were irresponsible with their gambling activities just like this guy who were advising others to quit or stop gambling because he had seen what it can do.

I think it's in human nature to warn others (in your group) from your own (negative) experiences. The idea that someone who has faced negative consequences due to a particular behavior, such as gambling, may feel compelled to advise others against it to prevent them from experiencing similar hardships. The mention of the addictive nature of gambling and the financial losses associated with it adds weight to the argument. I think the importance of learning from one's own mistakes and using that knowledge to guide others away from potential harm.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto loan platform? on: April 07, 2024, 05:16:39 PM
What's your favorite crypto loan platform?

Simple answer: This forum.
Here you find a lot of people who have loaned for years and have a good reputation. I have not used load for a couple of years now personally, but there were time where I used loans from time to time and the best experience I had was on this forum.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is a best way of taking advantage of BTC dips when away? on: April 07, 2024, 05:14:09 PM
I have been hearing about the importance of buying Bitcoin at the dip and something good strikes my heart.

The concept of buying Bitcoin at the dip refers to purchasing the cryptocurrency when its price experiences a significant drop, with the expectation that it will rise again in the future. This strategy is based on the belief that Bitcoin's value will recover and potentially increase over time. However, the challenge is that nobody can say when a correction is really over (has reached its low) and also not that the price will rise again afterwards. All we can say is that it has always been like this in the past, but that is no guarantee that it will be like this in the future.  This leads to the question of whether it's possible to buy Bitcoin dips.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: April 07, 2024, 03:56:58 PM
The reason why I'm not addicted to gambling is because even before I started to play gambling I already understand gambling and its addiction, and my understanding has helped me on how to follow up gambling. Sometimes I ask myself why do people get addicted to gambling, is it because they have no understanding or awareness about the addiction of gamble.

I think majority of people who are addicted to gambling is because they do not understand gambling as beginners, the rules and the side effects of playing gambling excessively.

I think if gambling companies can help to giving beginners to understand gambling and addiction it will help and reduce the rate at which people get addicted o gambling, I mean good lesson for people to get understanding.  Or do gambling companies benefit from gamblers who are addicted, which the awareness of getting addicted can affect their business?.

A lack of awareness and understanding about the risks and consequences of excessive gambling often contributse to addiction. The idea that education and awareness could help reduce the rate of gambling addiction is native in my opinion, since it will not really help because gambling works like drugs. If you are susceptible to it, it will drag you into the abyss, with or without education. The question of whether gambling companies benefit from addicted gamblers and if awareness of addiction could affect their business is clear two answer: they are not interested at all.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right to advice other people against gambling for personal reasons like?? on: April 07, 2024, 03:51:15 PM
Like 6 to 7 hours ago, I was over there on Facebook scrolling my life-time away  Grin, I came to this post where the user was advising readers on how bad gambling is, being a gambler myself, I decided to open the post in fall to read and know what the dude is all about, and from all the story, it seems the dude went all in on a gambling sprey which didn't turn out the way he had anticipated, according to him, he had lost all his life savings (over $60,000) to gambling and it all started with a bet of $10.

And right now, the dude is all out to castigate and discourage as many that are willing to give him a listening ear; from gambling, all for what? Because gambling didn't turn out well for him, he lost his entire life savings, and he now believed that that is exactly how every other persons out there gambling will lose too.

Such texts exists a lot in particular forums about gambling. Losing a significant amount of money through gambling and then discouraging others from engaging in it is quite common. It's understandable that the person would want to share their story as a cautionary tale, hoping to prevent others from making the same mistakes they did. Their intention to spare others from the pain and loss they experienced is commendable. It's important for people to be aware of the potential risks associated with gambling, especially when substantial amounts of money are involved.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: What did elon do wrong in Twitter on: April 07, 2024, 01:12:44 PM
I really hope so many will wake up and see Elon for who he really is.  I cringe when people call him the real life Tony Stark (Iron Man).  The guys never made a hamburger, let alone a car or a rocket or a payment system..not shit.  Is he incredibly good at being a salesmen..one the all time greatest..but I think his ego talked him in to buying twitter, which was not a good investment, the place is still an utter cesspool of bullshit, hatred, racism, bigotry etc etc.  He is not the right guy to run that company. I just do not get the appeal in the man one tiny bit.
Elon Musk is the best businessman and he knows how to do business. He has struggled a lot in life and has taken many challenges head-on, in which case he made a mistake by buying Twitter, we might be wrong if we say that. There must be some reasons behind his purchase of Twitter with huge amount of money which he is not revealing till now. Before starting a new business one has to invest a lot of money in that business and there are many losses in the beginning of the business. If the traders can accept the loss and hold on to their business, then later they achieve success in that business. Since he bought Twitter with this huge amount of money, one day he will surely reveal the real purpose of buying Twitter.
You would really be having that kind of boggled mind on why people has always that something that has to say on whatever the decisions made by Elon, as if they do really knows on how to handle up a business or company on which whenever they've seen that those steps and actions been made out is against into their interest then they would really be directly be criticizing it on which it isnt really just that
they would really be shutting up their mouths and let those owners handle their own business. They are smarter than you and its their company in the first place and its none of your business
on what they would gonna do into their own company.

It is really just that simple on which if you dont really like on how they do act out then you could really always stop on using their service as simple as that.
Lots of bashes and criticisms but still ending up on using it. lol

Not sure why you are expressing such a frustration with the tendency of people to criticize the decisions made by individuals like Elon Musk, especially in the context of business and company management. The OP appears to believe that those who are not directly involved in running the business should refrain from criticizing the decisions made by its owners as the owners are perceived to be smarter and more capable than the critics.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: boomer life UK on: April 07, 2024, 01:08:39 PM
Economic boom is determined by the standard of living of the average income earners, so if the good life that economist talked about was only enjoyed by the rich, then it doesn't determine what the UK economy was then, but if the average income earners were enjoying those privileges then it's something to be missed. It might not be possible to enjoy such economic privileges in this present day because population has doubled many times over since then, including immigrants that are entering UK in their high numbers now. We're living in the age of do it yourself, so if you want the good life, then you'd need to earn it without relying on the state.

Don't think it is so easy! The relationship between economic boom and the standard of living of average income earners is a complex and multifaceted issue. The notion that the good life enjoyed by the rich does not necessarily reflect the overall economic well-being of a country is a valid point. If the privileges of economic growth are only enjoyed by a small elite, it is unlikely that the growth will be sustainable . This is because economic growth should ideally lead to an increase in the standard of living for the majority of the population, not just a select few.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on the market right now? on: April 07, 2024, 01:04:41 PM
I want to stock up on alts for the spot now. What do you think, should I buy now or should I wait?
Buy stable coins first so that you are ready if ever you have altcoins to buy on your mind.

Because if you will wait for more dip, it might not happen anymore. We are about to get and enter into the bull run.

For that reason, buy if you can still cheap altcoins that you are planning to have because if you do not and you see them skyrocketing, who would you blame?
You are right that one should keep liquid assets ready at all times but you never know if there won't be any dips anymore because the market is highly unpredictable. We have seen it in the past where the market used to dip extremely low right before the bull run and people used to think that it is over now, there won't be any upside movements after it but then it surprised everyone and went on to create a new all-time high.

Investments in altcoins have always been risky and it always will be, so one is required to do their due diligence before they make an entry in any altcoin because you can't know how good or bad it is just by looking at it in the market and how its price is going up or down.

Having a certain amount of liquid assets ready like fiat money is actually part of a solid money management strategy. In bull runs I always try to build up 10-20% of my total assets value in fiat money. If we have a correction I invest those liquid assets into the market, so buying cheap is the idea. I usually do not do this in one buy, but in several smaller buys, due to you can not really know how strong the correction will be. As soon as the market enters a bull run again, I build up fiat assets again for next correction.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 07, 2024, 12:55:19 PM
Bundesliga's weird this year. Feels like Bayern accepted Leverkusen running away with it, which is nuts considering how dominant they usually are. But... you know Bayern and the Champions League, right? It's a different animal. These guys have history, that extra gear everyone talks about. This is where they live, even if they’re sloppy in the league. So yeah, write them off in the Bundesliga if you want, but I'd never count 'em out in Europe. Experience matters, and they always find a damn way

Tuchel had already congratulated Leverkusen after the last game against Dortmund, although it would still have been mathematically possible to win the league. There were also interviews with Goretzka and Neuer two weeks ago in which they pointed out that they can now only hope for a slip-up from Leverkusen. All of this shows that the championship has been written off for some time.

The focus must be on the CL. Arsenal are in top form and Bayern will have to show much more on Wednesday. What gives me hope is that the team is well aware that the CL is the only chance to save the season. In addition, De Ligt and Upamecano will be back in defense, which will bring more stability.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 30, 2024, 04:38:00 PM
I just wanted to place a few bets on today's Bundesliga matches, but the odds are too low for the outcomes I wanted to bet on. A Bayern vs Dortmund win is at 1.33. I don't see it as clear cut, but I still think Bayern is the favorite. The same goes for Leverkusen. A win against Hoffenheim is at 1.19, which is understandable given the run Leverkusen have had, but is also very low in the profit/risk ratio.

The odds for Frankfurt against Berlin are interesting. Frankfurt is clearly favored here. I see the game as rather even, so it would be a good profit/risk ratio with odds of 4.2 for a draw and 6.42 for a Berlin win. Thus, I have bet a small sum on a draw or win for Berlin for 2.81. I'm curious to see if that works Smiley

If you are completely sure that Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen will win easily, then you can still choose other options to get bigger odds. After all, betting on football matches is not only about home, draw and away because after all, if you are sure that the team you choose will win easily, then you can still bet with an Asian handicap for example for Bayern Munich -2.5 which will certainly make you get bigger odds. There are other ways of course, such as betting on the results for the first half and second half and of course, betting with this option will make your bet more interesting when compared to just betting with the 1x2 option.

But regarding the match between Bayer Leverkusen v Hoffenheim, up to now in the 88th minute the score is still 0-1 and Hoffenheim is still leading from the 33rd minute. Is it possible, Hoffenheim will give Bayer Leverkusen their first defeat this season, especially in this match also Bayer Leverkusen playing at home, it will be interesting to look forward to because maybe Bayer Leverkusen will get deadlocked after the season break.

Well, Leverkusen made it again and turned the game from 0-1 to 2-1 in the 93th minute. Unbelievable run. Besides of that I won my bet. Frankfurt vs Berlin ended 0 - 0, and as I wrote, I bet on a draw or win of Berlin. The odds were pretty good, so a nice gain.

Thinking about to do the same for the Bayern vs Dortmund match. Odds for a draw or win of Dortmund are 3.41. Still not sure and undecided, but seems to be a fair profit/risk ratio since Kane is not going to play  Cheesy
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cutting my gambling costs to Invest some of it on the Alt and Meme Coins. on: March 30, 2024, 02:39:14 PM
<...>

I can understandthat Bitcoin seems crazy expensive.

When diving into the world of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin's seemingly exorbitant price can be daunting for beginners. That's why alternative coins and meme-based coins appear more appealing due to their lower cost. It's a tempting path to explore, but it's crucial to approach it with caution. Diversifying your investments by allocating a portion to riskier altcoins and meme coins while maintaining the majority in established cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin can strike a balance. This strategy offers the potential for substantial gains from riskier investments while safeguarding the bulk of your funds in more established assets.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sam Bankman Fried (scam banker fraud) 25 years on: March 30, 2024, 02:36:08 PM
Tough for him, but good for crypto. This is an example to other crypto start-ups and exchanges. Now, they know that they have to behave, otherwise they'll end up in jail.

Whether 25 or 100 years is ultimately irrelevant. His life is messed up and it's his own fault. I feel more sorry for the many people who have lost a lot of money through his scam. I wasn't affected myself, as FTX was rather suspicious right from the start to me. However, I know someone from my circle of acquaintances who lost crypto worth 160k euros. He only invested 12k of it himself (so the actual loss is limited), but these cryptos had risen sharply in recent years and he wanted to buy a house in the near future for his young family. This dream is dead now.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 30, 2024, 02:11:29 PM
Crypto casinos are slowly coming under license because the governments are finding various irregularities of the users, especially the cases of illegal money transfer are gradually increasing. Such events are usually accepted using these crypto platforms. For which government must be taken necessary measures. Crypto casinos are different from fiat casinos. A user has to wait a long time to withdraw from a fiat casino and there are also big hurdles to deposit. But crypto casinos have no such problem. There is no delay in deposits and withdrawals. Moreover, since it is easily accessible from anywhere in the world, users are very interested in crypto casinos. Although crypto platforms have evolved to remain anonymous, it is slowly becoming harder. But it also has some positive sites. An unlicensed casino can steal users' money but a licensed casino platform cannot do.

Well, governments are rightfully concerned about irregularities and illegal money transfers, prompting the need for necessary measures. While crypto casinos offer faster transactions and global accessibility compared to fiat casinos, the anonymity they provide can be a double-edged sword.
As they transition towards regulation, the focus should be on maintaining security and fairness for users, while also ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations. The evolution of crypto casinos will require a delicate balance between innovation and accountability to create a safer and more transparent gambling environment.

I want to say the opposite of what you are saying. It is not an ambitious decision. Xabi understands his role as a young manager, and he is unwilling to accept greater duties when he coaches a larger club than Leverkusen. I don't think it's an ambitious decision. Xabi is only looking to avoid putting himself under a lot of pressure as a young manager to the big club. I'm sure you understand how much pressure comes with becoming a manager for a big club like Munich or Liverpool. More fans, a larger target, more responsibility, and much more.

Imo, this is Xabi's main reason for staying at Leverkusen. Everything requires a process, mate. You can't really imagine jumping from 10 to 100 in an instant. It will only add to his workload as a big club coach. I support this decision, and Xabi is gradually but steadily progressing to the next level, despite the fact that managing the big club does not happen overnight. I can't deny that if he succeeds as a manager for a big club, he will get everything, but that isn't what Xabi needs in his career. Trust the process, and I'm sure this is his philosophy.

Rather, I think that he and his team have built something over the last two years. They created the team and environment to win three titles this year. This is extraordinary. Why should he give up on that now and not reap the fruits of his labor? He will play in the CL with Leverkusen next season and the club is in a very good financial position and will get a lot more money than in recent years through the national championship title, national cup and international successes, which means that they can keep the top performers and get even more signings can strengthen. He shouldn't just give up on all of this. That's why he made the right decision to extend the contract by one year.
