9321  Other / Meta / Re: Consider my ban please on: August 19, 2018, 03:35:33 AM
I recently started working on the forum, I'm still new to this and not fully acquainted with the rules of the forum.

While it is true that you can make money here, this is not a place to "work". Learn coding, graphic design or anything else by yourself with YouTube or Coursera, stick with it for months and after that go to Freelancer or make your own portfolio building web and stuff.

Are you doubting me? Don't worry, I'm talking based on facts. Google "Desainer Kampung" and you'll find a community in Indonesia where they work as farmers at day and designers and night. They learn about design by themselves. Don't have any money to buy your own PC? Use a public computer or something like that.

Related to your ban, it is wise to read anything related to the forum before you start posting anyway.

9322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hacker can hacked your crypto wallet by getting help from Telecoms Operator on: August 19, 2018, 03:14:34 AM
I truly don't understand why anyone uses phone-based 2FA anyway.

Probably because they feel it is safe enough. I have a hunch that most people think a password is strong enough to protect their assets. According to this[1], less than one-third of Americans are using 2FA while the rest didn't even know of it. Interestingly, only less than 10% Gmail account uses 2FA.

People love to learn the hard way.

The demo video if the ETERBASE platform is here!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQRahmcw2r0

Looks cool. When will it go public?
And another thing, I don't see any tools for TA, except the timeframe option. Is there a specific menu for that or it is not yet developed?
9324  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quality Post on: August 18, 2018, 09:55:36 AM
I have one suggestion for you after looking at your post history, stop creating a question thread if you can find the answer by yourself using Google, such as "what is hardfork?", "is there any guide for masternode?" and etc. You won't get any merits for that.

If your English is not that good, stick to your local board (if there is any).

9326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think some bounty managers are sadist on: August 18, 2018, 03:53:24 AM
Since when a bounty manager has the responsibility to help bounty participants recover their email account? Care to elaborate more?

BTW, I don't think they're sadist though.

Quote
1. Psychiatry. a person who has the condition of sadism, in which one receives sexual gratification from causing pain and degradation to another.
2. a person who enjoys being cruel.

Source: https://www.dictionary.com/browse/sadist

They're probably just sick of seeing & handling a lot of problems like multi-account and so on.
9327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: PLEASE HELP!! COINBENE SCAM??? on: August 18, 2018, 03:25:08 AM
How could i respond to janet@okex if i m tryng to unbind my coinbene account...and "janet" it s a girl name and it has 3 profile pictures with 2 different dudes??? Smiley)) i say they are scammers...
i m sorry about my page arranging...it was my first post with pictures Cheesy Cheesy
Anyhow...i vd tried several times to log in after i vd sent the e-mail to them till 10 PM and also after... other exchanges asked me questions about whatever i vd did into my account to see if i am the one who uses the account...it s hard for me to belive that coinbene does the 2fa unbind so quickly without asking some questions and verify that i m their customer...
don t you think?

No need to be sorry.

Yeah, I also wonder why they take that approach. Even withdrawal is quite easy, just put my password and 2FA without further confirmation from email. This is the problem with a centralized exchange.

Thanks Joniboini. I'm new here, is spam a common thing? Or do you just mean possible internet trolls?

Welcome to Bitcointalk. Yes, spam is a common thing, a chronic problem here because lots of people are trying to get paid for a signature campaign without thinking their post quality or running their ann bumping services. I suggest you browse at Bitcoin/Altcoin section, you'll see it by yourself.

So how's your trade today? The market is green, gaining 20% profit is easy if you bought coins yesterday, especially VET.
9329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin [BTC] now accepted for bail at Federal Court on: August 18, 2018, 02:49:34 AM
I've read the article and I still don't understand the reason why the judge ordered him to pay using crypto?
BTW, it seems it doesn't reflect how government bodies in general thought about cryptocurrency, as Steve Wagstaffe said that the same thing won't happen at the San Mateo County Superior Court. This is more or less a personal decision from the judge because they're allowed to choose anything for bail. Anyway, if every judge acts like this, maybe mainstream adoption will come faster in USA (at least related to bail).

Posts will have to be a minimum of 150 characters.

Please modify this rule. It will increase spamming on forum. Post should be constructive, it doesn't mean people have to write content with 150 characters. Constructive post can be write with also 50 characters. So it's better require constructive post rather than 150 characters.

Best example :
4. There is no minimum length to make a post constructive, but you can expect scrutiny. If you can post a constructive post in 12 words, you don't need to make it longer.

On second thought, I agree with this. At some point, it can be interpreted as contradictory with these statements:

IOU is starting up a 10-week long signature campaign for the quality posters on bitcointalk. If you fit the merit quota, are active and have great posts, welcome!

Guys, on my phone right now, my laptop literally just broke. Please give me an extra day and I'll head off to the library to do counting tomorrow. Thanks!

Just in case someone starts questioning about whether they'll get paid or not, zapo has paid IOU signature participants yesterday (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4846530.msg44176010#msg44176010). Wait for your turn, BQT participants!
9334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lixt Trading Journal on: August 17, 2018, 07:41:31 AM
It would be nice if you make this thread self-moderated and actively delete the spam post being posted here. I believe your thread will become a spam-fest later on and eventually got locked or trashed by the mod. If you don't want to create a new thread, be sure to actively report any spam post posted here.
9335  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Successful ICOs have these in common on: August 17, 2018, 07:34:00 AM

They have three celebrities already. Owen, Pacquaio, and Jason Derulo. They also have a great list of private investors, one of them is Bin Zayed. Sounds good, but I don't know how successful it will be.

Celebrities provide hype, not trust. They probably know nothing about all of this and were just paid out, it doesn't show that ICO will be successful.

Celebrity is directly connected to GCOX, as GCOX is the platform for those celebrities to create their own token. Recruiting celebrities is not just for the sake of marketing but it is because they're part of their ecosystem. Judging by Manny tweet, at least he knows a little about it.

9336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinomi for Desktop on: August 17, 2018, 07:27:41 AM
Coinomi wallet on desktop is a new update of coinomi rocks. More people will use it instead of myetherwallet.

MetaMask is still there with its flexibility. There's an update for MetaMask released recently too and it looks great tbh. I doubt many people will move to Coinomi just because they've released their desktop wallet.
9337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETFs will Open Floodgates for Manipulation on: August 17, 2018, 03:15:02 AM
Agree with Andreas. Even without ETF, there is still a possibility that Bitcoin or any other asset price is manipulated.
See gold or silver, it's been dumped and pumped repeatedly.

What we need is more adoption, demands will follow later on. Even without ETF I still believe Bitcoin will reach its ATH again.
9338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Signature: Campaigns or Affiliates? on: August 17, 2018, 02:30:20 AM
If you participate in BTC paying signature bounty campaign, you can get from $20 $300 weekly, depends on your rank and the campaign you join. However, if you participate in altcoin campaigns, you can get up to 50 ETH (in tokens), however, the real price depends on the market and it will take a longer time to get the payment and liquidate the tokens.

I don't think the affiliate program will be interesting for the user here (signature campaign 'worker'), because the payment is dependent on how many partners they can get (if what I understand about an affiliate program is right). They'll stick to join the bounty.

Can you please re-arrange it so it is easier for us to understand which profile picture belongs to which account? And please make it smaller, it's easier to read that way.

Have you contacted janet@okex again? If I get it correctly he tells you to contact him again if the support is taking too long to respond.
Btw from Susan email on your first post, it looks like after you send an email they'll unbind the 2FA but won't send you an email back, have you tried logging in again?

Quote
" Dear customer,

Mark is our official staff.

If you want to reset your 2FA, please finish the following step:

Send email to support1@xatom.io via your register email, our IT staff will close your 2FA until 10:00 AM GMT+8

My suggestion: please bind your google auth by typing the code instead of scan the QR.

Thanks,
Your Susan, "
