I do think the money in football needs to be stemmed. And maybe Covid will force it to change... but it's not all bad. The romances are getting rarer, but oh, so much sweeter.
It needs to be regulated for sure. Financial fair play is a joke and everybody knows it, just check the "exchange" of players between Barca and Juve or the fine City got instead of CL disqualification. I don't like Mourinho an d his media outbursts in general but he had a great comment on that fine. I will now paraphrase it since I don't feel like looking for a exact quote. He said something on line that "City fine is a disgrace. Either you are guilty and disqualified or you are not guilty and you should not pay any fine." I agree with that 100%. This way it just shows that it is all about money. Yeah I was questioning that a lot before too, and I think there isn't a single person in this forum who is on City's side here (in fact hmm, I can't even recall a single City supporter in the forum haha). You're guilty or you're not, I absolutely agree. You got fined, and still have the gall to say you proved your innocence. Money is king in football, very unfortunate. Blame the plastic fans too though, egging their clubs on social media to go and sign some star. Imagine, United fans angry for not spending (and they spent!). Or #wengerout because he won't splash. And even some Liverpool fans questioning why no big spends before they found out about Jota or Thiago. Minamino and Kostas too cheap to turn heads. Youngsters from academy not glamourous enough.

I put 1 mbtc for fun on Atletico to win (1.55) at Sportsbet for the freebet promo, another Suarez contribution you think? They need to change their style more though, still playing like they don't have 5 good offensive players. And Hazard now 1-month injury, more problems for Real or more Ramos panenka 3 points? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) GL guys!

Football romance died a long time ago and today it's all about money.
In general I do agree with the problem of money but I'm not much moaning about it -- I think even in the 1990s already people were saying romance died in football a long time ago, and there's always this generational shift about attitudes and that's just humans being nostalgic. What I don't agree with is that romance died. It's perhaps harder to see, and harder to achieve but in a sense that only makes the success stories even more romantic. Leicester winning the title? Bloody hell. Guy plays non league football to appearing in Champions League. And the international transfers allowed us to see Ronaldo on the big stage. Imagine if he got stuck playing in Portugal. Or Robertson still being a parking attendant 5 years ago and moaning on Twitter about needing more money haha. I do think the money in football needs to be stemmed. And maybe Covid will force it to change... but it's not all bad. The romances are getting rarer, but oh, so much sweeter.

I was thinking the same about US elections (Nov) and then some third quarter numbers to spread terror among the ranks (early October) but I wonder why you think the dump only happens to 9k and not much lower? Definitely represents a big fat buy in that's sure to return gains within the end of 2020, but personally feel the real Black Day event wasn't in March.

Well good morning. Doesn't seem like he's a non-Bitcoiner any longer though, does it? Bitcoiner as I am, I'd still tell them to practise extreme caution... not only to make sure they're actually buying Bitcoin (and not some other project they think is BTC) but also not to bet everything and the kitchen sink. There's no guarantee Bitcoin will do well, even if it has been on an upward trajectory, the best strategy is still to keep eggs in different baskets, spread the risk.

Buying below the 200-week MA has historically provided the best long term entries. If you can stomach it, that's definitely the time to buy. The trouble is, when it comes, most people are panic selling and capitulating instead. It takes a strong constitution to go against the market and buy into a crash! The people who say they are going to buy usually end up pulling their bids out of fear and then chasing the price up later. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) I generally don't make such a huge deviance from my "cost averaging" -- I earn and don't buy, so I rather time big assignment invoices if possible, in that way effectively "buying" so yeah, definitely try and bulk things together whenever that 200MA looks tight. March was lovely, a shame I couldn't take full advantage but yeah, good thing I don't trade. Not sure how emotions would get hold of me;)

^ And so did Chelski in the end. Spurs handicap was an option but this just cements the opinion that Chelsea's star-studded team still need a LOT of work if they can't even pick apart a second-rate Spurs. Mourinho will savour this draw-penalty-win. Classic Jose in the end. Costly victory for Valencia though. All those yellows, tired legs, and almost allowed the game to draw. Going for another stupid 5-leg. Insurance gets me addicted. Game 1: Udinese Calcio - Spezia Calcio. Udinese WIN @1.67. Betcoin odds: 1.66 Game 2: SD Huesca - Atletico Madrid. Over 2 @1.59. Not a fan of planB but have said often enough I *am* a fan of 200MA =) It's really been a long-recognised support, and while we have seen dumps break it, it always seems to provide a nice cushion. I don't trade but really, if I did, I'd be adjusting limit orders all around 200MA for long-term buys, and even medium-term.

And Thursday is Europa qualifiers you bet he needs to win that one more than tonight's clash.
This is the info I was missing. I forgot they are playing again on Thursday. Which gives them a game every 2 days when players are far from optimal form. Also agree that Chelsea has much more rotation players and no game on Thursday, this should be an easy one for Chelsea. Placing one bet now and maybe another one when line ups are confirmed. I would still have bet Spurs IF the odds were 10/1 or higher haha but no such luck. No interesting 10+ odds tonight either that I can see so yeah, that explains my idiotic 5-leg parlay, but let's see how it goes. What do you think of Israeli teams tomorrow and Thursday night? Potential upsets over 10/1? I always fancy the way they play these ties, but yeah, all depends on lineups and form. Spurs have been unlucky with first team is all. I got Liverpool to win and both to score yesterday for my daily single, wuhu!
today I have Dyn. Kiev, Olympiakos and Real Sociedad to win on my ticket
Same as me then, woohoo! Europe qualifiers so far generally big on favourites so yeah, hoping for more of the same!

I'm hoping Moon doesn't happen just yet. It's only 3 months away so doubtful of even what I picked (18k) but I'm wondering if US elections might have a say in what happens, regardless of who wins that one, they're going to be faced with deepening cash problems and with inflation already at an incredible 2%, might be headed for more as whoever wins will want to be populist and ask Fed to print even more cash. Not enough alone to trigger moon maybe, but 2nd wave Covid will be pushing even more desperate measures.
Can do with sub 8k prices too, but I think it's becoming an unlikely scenario unless 2020's got more shit in store for us.

I see you played Chelsea on your ticket - why?
I am sure I am missing something but can't find any news. How is it possible that odds on Spurs are @5 against Chelsea? I was sure that you would rather pick Spurs for value bet here. Has Mou come out and said that only juniors will play? Really don't see the reason for odds like that.
Sociedad is my main pick tonight since Valencia is awful this season. Not sure about CL games, will go for both to score on some multi.
Because Mou says he has to give up Carabao cup and yes, I know he could be playing mind games, but I suspect he's too worried about league position to risk all of his senior squad. And Thursday is Europa qualifiers you bet he needs to win that one more than tonight's clash. Chelski on the other hand have lots of potential first-11 players to give starts to and no Thursday game to worry about. Valencia are shocking. Not worth the team they were.

No shame m8 , goal was awesome and we both know that you can't have amazing quality of football without a lot of money these days, but you can find a lot of good matches in lower leagues in each country. Sometimes they get more tense and wild then matches in top leagues ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Yeah, watching injuries is hard to watch for me, along with that elbow I have screw in my knee too ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) You are quite right, the confidence after the recovery is a bigger issue. After my recovery from my knee surgery where I had to lay on my back for 2 weeks with no books or tv, cos they messed my spinal block anesthesia, I had crazy headaches, dizziness and nausea attacks. So the first time I went out on my own with the crutches I had a major panic attack ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Took me, like 2 more months to defeat all that shit. I will lock my picks in Superbru today and can't wait to see your picks locked all showing 1-1 ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Football really is life, isn't it? I know it's "sad" but the happiest moments of my life have been around football. Who doesn't remember the exact moment and place they were when their team won some crazy match (Istanbul for me, especially as I was nowhere in life at the time haha). Glad you got over the recovery. My worst time in hospital wasn't football related but I was KO for 2 weeks (delirium, hazy memory) and about 2 months in recovery I did nothing and that was when I realised I may never play football the way I loved anymore and yeah, sometimes just coming back to a game after an injury you just never feel the same. And we don't have motivation coaches the way big teams have eh? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) All my picks at 1-1 for Round 3. Watch me tear up Serie A;)

Well, at least I won back the 500 unit bet I lost against Chelsea (thanks Mane and Robbo). Tough win despite how it looked, Jota for the gloss, have to say I like what I'm seeing even if VVD isn't quite the rock he's been, blame the super high line! Not certain about the games tonight but worth backing the Europe qualifiers, where the tight favourites have been doing well. Real Sociedad - Valencia CF. Socieded WIN @1.60. Phew what a Monday night match that was! Well done all of you who bet on the special (both to score and over 2.5). I personally thought we would get the clean sheet, and yes, Robbo gave away the goal (but redeemed himself) but Lacazette would have scored at least 1 goal if not for an outstanding Alisson. Pity bout the clean sheet but hell, what a game. Jota on his Reds PL debut nice too.
Happy with the results, can you believe the top four right now, and if Villa win their game in hand? Haha. Topping the table?

Ah bloody hell Robertson he gave Arsenal the only attempt on goal and the goal itself. But damn he's more than making up for it tearing down those flanks. I've got a "big" bet riding on HT win for the Reds so you bet I'm relieved we pulled two after that.
Proud of how they're playing now. Arsenal chasing shadows when our attack's on form. Hope they just keep the pedal to the metal after the break!
@Trofo: I still think Fulham stole the spot from Brentford. Absolute crap football and they didn't even seem overly concerned they were trailing at any point.

First 2 legs lost. So we're out. I don't feel complete without a bet on Liverpool to ride. We did terrible with 500 units on the Chelsea HT. Can we do it with Arsenal? The gambler in me says yes. 500 units at Fairlay on Liverpool to lead against Arsenal at HT @2.01. Betcoin: 2.02 Hmm. As soon as I placed. odds changed. Oops. 2.08 right now. Good. Less rubbish to wade through, though it seems like all that nonsense's actually flowed out to Ethereum and whatever else people are defi-raving about now.
I'm so worried. Twitter doesn't love Bitcoin anymore. How am I going to wrap all my Bitcoin in fancy tokens now so I can hop on the Defi train?

It could be just a cheap shot for KYC. They don't want their citizens escaping taxes because they put it on bitcoin and there is no record of it. Yeah, adopt it and be as a payment tool. This pandemic might have made them realize that.
It's the only eventual answer most states already realise, and more will come to realise. Can't fight it, just legislate it. And then slowly ease business into it, then people using those businesses will have to as you say KYC. And some users will go and find more ways to circumvent, thus seeking out more private and decentralized solutions. Win either way for Bitcoin.

What a day yesterday, I need to stop throwing away money won on impulse but hey, that's sort of why we're all here right? Nice Leicester win. Such a pity that City keeps losing like this and bookies keep adjusting the odds. Can you believe it was not even 10/1 for Leicester? Have edited all the info in yesterday's numbers. Anyway, can't stay away from boosts and insures so: Game 1: Liverpool FC - Arsenal FC. Pool WIN @1.53. Betcoin odds: 1.54 Game 2: Real Sociedad - Valencia CF. Sociedad WIN @1.67. Betcoin odds: 1.64 Game 3: Chongqing Lifan - Shanghai SIPG. Shanghai WIN @1.91. Betcoin odds: 1.92 Game 4: Tianjin Teda - Wuhan Zall FC. Wuhan WIN @1.93. Betcoin odds: 1.94 Game 5: Nordsjaelland - Lyngby BK. Nordsjaelland WIN @1.74. Betcoin odds: 1.72 100 units parlay at Sportsbet @17.54. Holders aren't going to report what they have because they don't have to. People who get paid in bitcoin will have to go abroad to exchange because they can't do it in Russia anyway so they won't report anything or they will sell for cash on the street.
Not that Russians don't already have accounts all over the world -- and I'm not saying that as a bad thing, they just have Russian branches of banks all over former USSR, and it's not so difficult to, say, for example, sell Bitcoin P2P in Kazakhstan and have a local trader send X amount to your Sberbank branch, which then allows easily to send back rubles to your account in Russia. Bank might need to know their customer, but they don't need to know your customer's customer.
