9361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: June 25, 2016, 03:51:55 AM
I'd say aprox a quarter of whats stopping people from using Bitcoin is the media made conception that Bitcoin is associated with criminal activity.

There are actually a lot of reasons stopping people from using bitcoin but you are right, that is a big reason in some places where media is working dawn to dusk to kill the positive concept of bitcoin from the minds of people, and the people who were never aware about it are believing it with blind eyes without doing their own research about bitcoin.
Media can affect all layers in our community, and change people think about bitcoin with instantly. and we know a lot of people is easy to believe with media before they can check about the truth of the news.
9362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase has partnered with Paypal - Officially! on: June 24, 2016, 09:55:15 PM
Seems less like a partnership and more like Coinbase will just send you Paypal funds if you request it.  Notice that you cannot buy bitcoin with Paypal, which makes me think there really isn't a partnership going on, but instead just an agreement that they will let you cash out large sums if necessary.
What? It's not a partnership if you canot buy bitcoin with paypal, I agree partnership just have relation too in their feature and synchronization. Let's wait and see how the sync of coinbase and PayPal.
9363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Anonymous Enough For You? on: June 24, 2016, 09:49:38 PM
Would you, if asked, personally consider Bitcoin anonymous enough for your needs? Does it lack privacy features? Would you consider Bitcoin anonymous, semi-anonymous or transparent?

Do you want an anonymous crypto currency?
i think bitcoin already anoonymous, its provenby address and transaction, bitcoin address normally haveno identifier,we can't trace wallet owner, and also we can't trace trnsaction owner, its why people love bitcoin. do you have plan to create another crypto that have good anonymous like bitcoin?
Maybe bitcoin is semi anonym but it's can publish your wallet financial. you're right the anonymous of bitcoin only cover the personal identifier but not at all like your wallet financial, etc.
9364  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: June 24, 2016, 09:44:39 PM
Hello guys,

how many of you are earning for living just with bitcoin based projects? If some of you do, can you contribute what do you do?

First of course we need to register on that project.  Get accepted and start doing the job / task you are about to do.  Some pay BTC for publishing a Blog, others managing promotional campaigns, other signature campaign.  This are some task / project that can earn you a living. I mean if you can do all of them, then you can earn a living with Bitcoin.
Only can doing one or two task/ job maybe bitcoin will can't ensure your living, But if you have a more task or job in bitcoin it's will make you can earn your living. Because the salary of bitcoin is uncertain.

9367  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is amazon will be accepting bitcoins in the future? on: June 23, 2016, 10:55:07 PM
Off course will amazon accept bitcoins but not right now becasue the other big companys need to go first because amazon will see what happen with the other companys after that they will also introduce have a little fade.
Many things need to be prepared if a company want to accept bitcoin as their payment processor.
Especially a big company such as amazon, they don't want to use third party as payment gateway.
They sure wants their own bitcoin payment gateway and it is can be one of many factors they not yet accept bitcoin.

Indeed I think they are now already testing it on some way out to roll it out later, Amazon will never use anthers payment module..
Due to this it will take some time before they will in my eyes.

Amazon has their own payment system which they wanted to use it to rival Paypal but it is not popular among merchants.
I never heard does amazon have an own payments system. I think until this time amazon just has a local and global payment. I need to check again about your information.
9368  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you like to receive your salary in BTC? on: June 23, 2016, 09:51:37 PM
Once Bitcoin is stable and accepted everywhere and by (mostly) everyone - why not?
Heee...? at first bitcoin it does not have an unstable situation because is addressed for investment but I believe bitcoin will never get a stable situation. but i have a same hope with you everywhere can accepted bitcoin
9369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I found the Australian Bitcoin auction BTC address on: June 23, 2016, 09:48:57 PM
They keep mentioning 24,518 Bitcoin as the total. I did some searching and found this: https://blockchain.info/address/3MpHZFXuWW3zXL8AYKcfNHLW7ZCRBayy3W The dates match perfectly with the initial May press release. Obviously, the auction is over but the winner(s) have yet to receive Bitcoin. We need to watch this address- we should be able to figure out a lot more from the BTC sent from it. My video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXXtxNta1F8 I hope this was a good first Reddit post. -Adam Meister of DisruptMeister.com
Yeah, I ever heard Australian want to make an auction for their bitcoin, but this is amazing it's a very big amount. Does someone know maybe using bitcoin in Australian becomes an illegal activity?
9370  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you like to be able to buy with BTC online? on: June 23, 2016, 09:43:59 PM

9373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: June 23, 2016, 02:28:43 PM
I think if chinese miners go out of business Bitcoin will definitely have a big problem, there's still no demand or real use for Bitcoin but the mining industry is huge, especially on China. After the halvening we will face a complex scenario, with both Bitcoin and Ethereum in deep trouble.
Like hubby decrease their amount of mining bitcoin and the value is halving from 25 BTC to 12,5 BTC and miners need to think again to continue their business. but ETH comes back to normally condition.
9374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any tips ? How to prevent scammers and orher pishing site? on: June 23, 2016, 02:24:54 PM
How to save our money from a lot of scammer and pishing site'  Huh

Scammer or phishing site will be suspicious and it always gives the best offers to their victims, like double bitcoin instantly,or will pay with big interest. need attention to believe with someone or site give the best offer.
9375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: June 23, 2016, 06:36:27 AM
It would be awesome if it breaks the all time high price which is the $1200, for sure most holders will sell their coins to make the highest profit. I see btc a more progressive for the future, after halving exactly. I'm planning to sell my coins before the day of block halving.
This is the correct time to earn more BTC with more profit. Really all the wallets are going to be piled up on or before halving. Really waiting for the good moments to come. Really happy to see the price hike.

Price will go even higher as we reach near to the halving stage, as people are buying bitcoins now and that is the reason price is moving up, it would be good to hold till the halving.

Yeah price will go higher by the days of halving. Now too regular price increase has been continuing, so holding with patience will give users assured profit.
Yes, the price increase of bitcoin is now more faster and in the coming month it will increase with more higher jumps, as in the next month we will enter in the month of halving which is considered as the month of success of bitcoin. Holding these times will confirm our chances to become millionaires.

To become a millionaire at the time of halving we also need to hold high amount of coins, as you cannot expect to become millionaire with 5 or 10 btc, as price will not be in millions.
50 btc for me is enough after block halving i can be millionaire once the price hit to 1k value each.. and here in my country usd is pretty expensive so bitcoin also its too expensive if you sell 50 btc if the price is increase more 1k value i can be millionaire..

If you are holding 50 btc for halving then you can surely become a millionaire in next few days, as speculations suggests that bitcoin will cross $1k at the halving.
it does not mean when halving the price of bitcoin will rise significantly, but need a more time for taking a break and wait for it. all of it is does not happen  instantly.
9376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Anonymous Enough For You? on: June 23, 2016, 06:31:56 AM
This comment:

It is not dumb that n00bs don't know the technology and game theory economics. What is dumb is when n00bs (such as the Bitcoin maximalist comments in this thread) think they know something about an issue that is far too complex for them to be comprehend without deep research that they are unwilling or incapable of doing. This is known as the Dunning-Kruger effect.

So many dumb comments in this thread by Bitcoin maximalists who will invent any excuse possible to remain in denial of the fact that
...

Applies to all of the following incorrect posts:

For me it is complete anonymous. You cant tell my address of cold storage wallets. Only my spending wallet addresses arr visible. No body knows how much i m holding. During tx don't include outputs from address tagged to you.

I just like the technology and since I have no transactions in which I need to be anonymous about at the present, it doesn't concern me that much.

I think bitcoin anonymous enough for me, because I am dealing with bitcoin without being able to be tracked. But you have to use it addreas bitcoin only one of each transaction to keep your anonymous. Thank you

yeah i think its good enough. Yes, i know its still possibly to back trace from blockchain but its pretty hard if you use multiple addresses and to be more anonymous use a bitcoin mixer. I am not doing anything "illegal" with bitcoin so I don't need to be worried much

For me, anonymity does not matter too much. I bought things from online stores. They know my address anyway.

I think bitcoin anonymous is enough for me, because we no need verification or doing something to use bitcoin, not like paypal, you need verification your profile and credit card. it's not anonymous.

Bitcoin still anonymous for me,Bitcoin wallet didnt require id for verification its account not like Paypal. Paypal need verification to able to use its other feature.

I don't have time nor desire to constantly run my coins through a mixing service so as to cover my tracks. For Bitcoin to be completely anonymous people have to only use websites that don't ask for personal information and don't use any exchanges or Bitcoin debit cards to withdraw funds and only seek private sellers. However I would like to say that for my needs Bitcoin is anonymous enough as I don't partake in shady deals nor do I purchase any illegal goods online so I actually don't care much about who has been stalking me.

I dont need to hide my transactions, it's good enough for me.

It would be hypocritical to pay with debit cards/credit cards (which are even less anonymous, and then complain about bitcoin privacy.

For me its anonymous enough because I do not do stupid things with it to be honest and you can still mix it right so its no problem..

All of the above comments are very naive and incorrect. Using multiple addresses and mixing servers doesn't necessarily make your identity unlinkable, as explained in the following quote.

And you say you don't need privacy, but when anyone can see what and when you've been buying things and publish that information loud and clear to everyone on the Internet, do you really want your grandmother to know you've been buying subscription to Playboy?

Do you want all of your finances to be public knowledge?

Credit cards and websites knowing your identity doesn't reveal your financial data in public. But BitCON does!

And it gets even worse if you are talking about obscuring your financial data from national security agencies, which also might have corrupt employees who use your information in illegal ways. Don't forget how the TSA employees were caught masturbating to the nude xray scans at the airports. Extortion is a possibility, tipping off criminal gangs as to your whereabouts and financial standing, etc...

People using Bitcoin to move funds around thinking that if they've used a mixer then they are anonymous. They will be sad to later find out that all those mixers were compromised by meta data and/or infiltration. Bitcoin is a trap laid to entrap those who are easily duped on the technological capabilities. The only known technology that might be anonymous is Monero, but there are several problems to avoid: a) Monero allows overlapping rings, so via combinatorial analysis, your anonymity might be unmasked, especially if the rings were Sybil attacked, and b) your IP address was traceable across mixes. The mitigating actions are to mix Monero numerous times (other mixers can be infiltrated so don't use them!), and to not rely on I2P nor Tor, instead use an entirely virgin device that you never use for non-anonymous Internet activity and connect over an unregistered WiFi connection and far from your normal place of residence or work. And don't bring your smart phone nor GPS tracked vehicle with you while accessing the remote unregistered WiFi hotspot.

“The G20 reiterates the high priority it attaches to financial transparency and effective implementation of the standards on transparency by all, in particular with regard to the beneficial ownership of legal persons and legal arrangements.  Improving the transparency of the beneficial ownership of legal persons and legal arrangements is vital to protect the integrity of the international financial system, and to prevent misuse of these entities and arrangements for corruption, tax evasion, terrorist financing and money laundering.

The G20 reiterates that it is essential that all countries and jurisdictions fully implement the FATF standards on transparency and beneficial ownership of legal persons and legal arrangements and we express our determination to lead by example in this regard.   We particularly stress the importance of countries and jurisdictions improving the availability of beneficial ownership information to, and its international exchange between, competent authorities for the purposes of tackling tax evasion, terrorist financing and money laundering. We ask the FATF and the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes to make initial proposals by our October meeting on ways to improve the implementation of the international standards on transparency, including on the availability of beneficial ownership information, and its international exchange.”
Well, I like your an explanation, and finally, bitcoin is not an anonymous, it always needs to be showed your address and people can show you financial on your wallet. it's exactly with publishing your financial.
9377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: June 23, 2016, 06:17:27 AM
If it is trusted and not going to die i think 80% of my money put in bitcoin because i as of now i only have few bitcoin but i see the potential that i give us wealth if we handle this carefully.
Is not between trusted or not, but a lot of people want to put all of their money on bitcoin because it's have a various usefulness. I saw some people became a rich person from this. but exactly with your statement need to handle this carefully.
9378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin survive world war III? on: June 23, 2016, 06:12:48 AM
Without the internet, I think bitcoin would not survive. I think we would take a few steps back in a lot of forms of technology if this scenario happened. Bitcoin would be the least of our worries in that kind of war.
Right, the internet will dead all of the facilities will destroyed at that time, only war in every place but bothing for some country is not following World war. but they can get a big effect from WW.

9379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving is a profitable??? on: June 23, 2016, 06:09:14 AM
Yes it's profitable but something very strange happening now cause bitcoin dropped yesturday on 10%, and it's very huge number, i hope it will not happen againe.

For sure halving is profitable maybe the reason of bitcoins down fall today is that it is just balancing it's way to sky rocket.
Since after the halving bitcoins price is going to be really high as it increases.
Maybe tour statement is true halving giving an effect to bitcoin because after halving will more difficult to searching or other bitcoin. and give a big effect for bitcoin especially for the price.
9380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: June 23, 2016, 01:09:12 AM
Bitcoin is better than western union, but it haven't reached most users. Only a limited number of people who have knowledge in computer have adopted it. Most common man prefer western union for their transaction needs.
Hey.... bitcoin is surpassed the Western Union for now and yes that's true in some countries still have some people in not have more knowledge or lack of knowledge about computer.
