What niches are you referring to?

Nxt is for high tps rate. Ethereum can't process a lot of transactions without usage of supercomputers.

Are you going to invest in Ethereum?

nexern lie about the client release first it was the 26 than 29, now noone knows! HUGE red flag here.

even the dev is saying it is third generation!
I wouldt call it never generation vaporwarecoin.
But luckely you've have articles to read and video to watch, 1M NXT of it.

this is going nowhere its rediculous.
more and more investors start to vent frustrations here dont you see! price is tanking!
GET a GRIP!

It is not, he was talking about NEX.

Ya know what i was thinking today? of course you don't thats why I'm about to tell you.
I've been hearing a lot of criticism of bitcoin lately from the potential for altcoins to erode the trust in the concept of digital scarcity. Most notably the interview with adam back on lets talk bitcoin. By building decentralized exchange into the bottom protocol layer I think nxt can potentially restore this trust. Think about it, no other copy of nxt will ever have markets with as much market depth as nxt. Meaning their copy nxt will never has as much utility. Thus a copy of nxt is not "just as good as nxt". Since no copy of nxt will ever be "just as good as nxt" nxt can be thought of as scarce in a way that bitcoin can not.
I think this could be added to our list of "core arguments" in favor of nxt.
It's a salient point, and a core principle that virtually every scrypt coin is missing... they're becoming balkanized into these separate tribes as though they're pledging allegiance to their favorite football team.
I feel like a kid holding his bladder, *waiting* for Nexern's client release. This forum is gonna be turned on it's head.

Indeed, a Nxt decentralized exchange would make Nxt the King of all crypto-currencies. All copy-coins would give up instantly.

Where are we rolling this out?

Looks like a lot of people are going to invest their Ethereums into Dollars, because the inflation seems a bit better there.

Make better use of the chain "module" in advertising visuals.

Make them connect...

The chain is just waiting to be used.

What about the costs founders estimate to have after the launch?

You know, the good old spreadsheet...

Not yet disclosed to the public AFAIK We should hopefully know more now that the Miami conference is over.

"Kinda" important if you want to know what they're up to.

It is important. And thats why we will look at it and have more concrete facts to analyse this on afterwards. Thats why all the fearmongering is so silly, its not based on anything. In fairness to those guys its not like they just dropped by and said "send me 30000btc". They gave an overview and said more info will be on the way.

It's not just important. It's essential.

Who could consider investing without it? Is this kindergarten?

The fact there are no numbers is alarming. Even if there are none right now, it should be mentioned on the front-first page as to when they're going to be available.

Transparency! BEFORE the IPO.

Whats your problem? they clearly said when the prospectus will be out. and it was on the front page. kindergarten is impatience, and thats what most are showing. What, do you have to make a decision on this in the next 2 minutes? bookmark this and wait for updates.

On the first page there is a mention of some kind of "Prospectus" on the 1. Feb, which is launch day of IPO.

I do not want to make hasty decisions. It would have to be done and out by now.

Every investment proposition and opportunity starts with a - don't know the english word for this, but a spredsheet of costs on on side and potential income on the other.

Where is the potential 25 million dollars going exactly? ...

Hi everyone.

How about these for a couple of proofs of concept?  Two one-minute spots I recorded this evening:

General Nxt intro: https://soundcloud.com/whatsupnxt/nxtminute-0001
Nxt minute: https://soundcloud.com/whatsupnxt/nxtminute_0002

I welcome feedback.

Here's my take on the one minute spot, using joefox's example as inspiration, and trying to take into consideration all the feedback that was given:

Nxt LTB Spot, Episode 1: https://soundcloud.com/bithic/nxtltbspot-ep1

Well you both have great radio voices, that's for sure.

26 january no client again, not even  glimps, smell fish

no trace CFB  mmmm

Do you miss him?

We have to manage without him anyway, and he will leave us soon, so what is your point?

just worried he is hit by bus, that is all

All is going just fine according plan, today listing on vicurex and tomorrow testing of nexerns client.

No need to be worried unless you want cheap NXT, only way is up from here.

And thanks to the Miami team (nifty, justabit, eb101) we are on the map. Coudnt be going better.

Pin

+1. Very satisfying to watch. Good job joefox and guys from Miami everyone contributing.

I'm the most excited about the coming client...

I hear they're filming House of Flying Daggers - The Nxt Generation...

I have a new way to explain why NXT fundraising was closed at 73 people.

Actually 2 ways, one is a symbolic/superstitious explanation:

BCNext felt strongly that one millionth of BTC ultimate supply is the perfect amount to start NXT with.

OK, it might seem silly to a lot of you, but do you know what percentage of people believe in astrology, ghosts, numerology, etc? The million to one ratio is easily understood by almost all of the world.

The other is legal. BCNext knew that with rapidly rising BTC prices that if he didn't stop the fundraising, the amount raised would exceed the legal thresholds in more and more jurisdictions. Imagine if BCNext raised $25 million dollars worth of BTC (what etherium is trying to do), then all sorts of lawyers would be buzzing around and if NXT went down in price, there would be all sorts of legal issues to deal with. As it is with the token amount raised, there can be no legal liability from the fundraising. This is a big advantage that NXT will have over emunie, etherium, etc. I predict if they succeed in raising millions of dollars in capital, they will inevitably get embroiled in litigation, possibly from multiple jurisdictions. If the price goes down, they might very well be forced to refund all investors with what is remaining of their funds after all the legal expenses.

So, BCNext was either very superstitious, symbolic or legally conservative.

We can vote on which you think is right Smiley

James

Vitalik is a 19 y.o. child - IQ is irrelevant here, he can be gamed very easily...

Bill Gates founded Micro$oft at 20. Say what you will about Microsoft and its collusion with power structures... Investing on day 1 might have been a good  move,  had you had the opportunity to do so... Which of the frontrunners in this space...Etherium, Mastercoin, NXT, Invictus... which are currency, smart property solutions, and which are distributed OS?
I have invested in all of them and I will invest in Ethereum too, only difference is I know I invest to Google or Microsoft here...

No anarcho/will change the world illusions!

Klee, would you mind saying ratios of your investing into Mastercoin, NXT, BitShares and Ethereum?

I have no agenda behind this other than to get another perspective for my own investing.
