941  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - HASHFLARE - JUST CANCELLED ALL LIFETIME CONTRACTS on: September 11, 2017, 10:35:23 AM
From my perspective they have offered users a contract, which both them and the user agreed to and the users pay significant amounts of money both at the initial buying of the contract and in the form of maintenance fees to Hashflare.

To simply end the contract of the user which was advertised as "lifetime contracts" prematurely without any agreement from the user is ridiculous.

There is no difference to this and stealing. They are blatantly scamming users of potential profits.
942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Chinese government has banned some exchange on: September 11, 2017, 10:26:35 AM
The Chinese government has banned some Bticoin exchange. is this the cause of the Bitcoin price down?
if it is true I think China is a country that can control the price of Bitcoin.
what do you think about that?

Firstly if you look into comments generated by spokespeople from BTCChina and OKCoin you will see that none of them have any indication that their exchanges are actually going to be shut down any time soon.

It would be logical for the chinese government to notify them to close down business if they were planning on doing it in the near future instead of telling a news outlet first, don't you think?

China does have a large influence over price, but this influence has diminished as trading moves to p2p. No single country has control over bitcoin prices, no matter how much volume they generate.
943  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.io - transaction is beeing processed for 4 month. on: September 11, 2017, 10:16:29 AM
on 15 of AUG, i've got a message from CEX over here, saying they are terribly sorry for this isse  and asking for user id so they can investigate this case.

no further updates so far......

p.s. forget about telephone number from google no point of calling as i assumed before.

still same problem....

I'm pretty sure that i've heard similar accusations recently regarding cex.io not being able to pay out withdrawals in time.

Lookingc at the screenshot the amounts involved here are by no means small and i think that you deserve your funds back with compensation for being so slack on the customer support and time it takes to respond to a simple inquiry.

Though, it seems like ETH withdrawals are still working fine. Is there any chance you could cancel the withdrawal request and go exchange BTC for ETH and withdraw?
944  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do NOT trust payments with https://www.coinpayments.net/ on: September 10, 2017, 10:11:01 AM
Coinpayments does not offer chargebacks, they are not an escrow service.

I'm extremely sorry for your loss and i feel your pain mate. But coinpayments isn't really the one at fault here, they allow anyone to use their API to accept payments and they simply provide a framework for businesses to accept bitcoin on, nothing else.

Do your research and your own due diligence before you use any site to buy stuff, especially if you are sending first to the site. Remember that all bitcoin transactions are irreversible - they cannot be charged back. If you are sending btc, then remember that, unless you are using escrow.
945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mass adoption: Chiasso,Switzerland to accept tax payment in bitcoin on: September 10, 2017, 10:01:45 AM
Switzerland has constantly been keying into bitcoin with its major mass adoptions in most cities and is gradually becoming the main guy in financial technologies and cryptocurrency startups.

Chiasso has announced that it will start accepting tax payments from citizens in bitcoins, chiasso is pretty aiming to compete with zug`s crypto valley to become the city of mass adoption of financial technologies, cryptocurrency startups and innovations.

Read More => https://zycrypto.com/chiasso-switzerland-accept-tax-bitcoin/

Well this is why Switzerland is still considered to be one of the most innovative countries, even though they do not produce much new technology themselves. All is needed is a supportive panel of regulators and government that embraces cryptocurrencies.

HOnestly, i wish that we could see more of this in other countries like the US and China. However instead of embracing bitcoin, they seem to shy away from it and even try to ruin it for everyone by implementing regulations that are anti-bitcoin.

But bitcoin in the long run will overcome governments. It is a decentralized movement, if enough people get on board there is no doubt that it will succeed and achieve mass adoption.
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is China manipulating the price of Bitcoin and other altcoins? on: September 10, 2017, 09:58:57 AM
This question is probably asked many times, but I would like to start a discussion and hear other people's opinion on this. Of course it is a bit paranoia, but there is so much money to make for China that they would almost be stupid if they didn't manipulate the price.

This website is great to see the history of Bitcoin's price and the main events that influenced it: https://99bitcoins.com/price-chart-history/

Today seems to be exactly like in 2013. First China comes with some promising news that they see a bright future in Bitcoin and the price of Bitcoin goes even higher than it already was (giving a lost full blow into the bubble, prorbably so they can sell their holdings or something) and just a week or a couple of days later they come with restrictions and the bubble bursts. Is it me being paranoia or is the same exact thing happening again? And will it happen again in the next (even bigger) bubble?

Please share your (well-founded) thoughts here Smiley

China has not made any sort of promising news at all.

In fact, China has recently announced that ICOs would be banned and that caused quite a dropoff in price due to people panicking about the situation. The whole pump essentially happened without any sort of help from Chinese regulators.

Anyways, China does have a large part in bitcoin pricing since there are so many miners and traders. However they have definitely dropped far from its former glory because of all the new regulations. Is it manipulating btc price? I wouldn't call it manipulation but it does have a large infulence over it.
947  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HOW YOBIT SCAMMED ME on: September 10, 2017, 09:32:02 AM
2017-08-31 15:29:56 i sent 0.18284859 ETH to my Yobit wallet from Bitstamp. I never got my ETH. I contacted the support (2017-08-31 15:29:56) and a "mod" fom the Chat and the Yobit account on bitcointalk. I also  dont got a answer from them. Thats my Yobit ETH dep. adr. : 0x4b72676858558236d6e27519cdd07756377e263a

I can see on Etherscan  that they have moved my ETH to there Yobit wallet i guess. Yobit just gave me now (today i guess dont really know last 3 days for sure) another ETH address without telling me anything. Thats my new one with 0 ETH on it :
0xce88641984c513d3aef2dabb5e77960b5c47486e

I think they just took my ETH and scammed me. I dont know what to do i hope someone can give me some advice.

Best Regards

Well they have moved it to another address for sure, which indicates that they have indeed received the funds without any problems with the deposit. Why they are not crediting you is beyond me tbh, but they do this kind of thing all the time.

Their support is basically not going to respond to any tickets in less than a week's time unless it's about listing a new coin.

All you can do is wait, keep contacting support, and hope that they respond. At least it wasn't a huge amount, only around $60. This is why we warn people not to use yobit.

Thanks for taking a look at it !. I hope this issue will get solved soon. The only thing i can do right now is to wait for a response from them.

No problems.

Just a suggestion: Don't try to complain too much on yobit trollbox. Moderators are pretty anal there about any complaining and i've seen examples where people got their accounts banned from chatting(and i think there was one case where the entire account was banned). You never know what the mods are going to do, so avoid complaining on trollbox too much.

Stick to reaching them by a)support tickets b)twitter DM and comments c)PMs on this forum. Eventually, they will probably resolve your issue but i have no idea how long.
948  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Trend on: September 10, 2017, 09:21:57 AM
BTC Next day (or Next week) Up or Dn?
BTC/USD Weekly:
and BTC/USD daily:

How about you?

It is most likely going to bounce back up again after the news from China gets confirmed as false rumours. However whether or not we will see such crazy growths as depicted in the chart is another matter.

Personally i don't think that we are going to see an ATH that is higher than $7k. Just because we are most likely already very close to the peak of the bubble, and this bubble may burst at any given moment.

However i do think that we will at least breach $5000, perhaps even $5500, before a potential price adjustment.
949  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin is crashing down? from which level one can start buying Bitcoin??? on: September 10, 2017, 09:11:26 AM
Why Bitcoin is crashing so rapidly? what is the support level for bitcoin to buy again and accumulate?

Haven't you heard? It is mainly because of report that had ben done on China planning on banning all of its exchanges. However, the contents of that report is pretty much unconfirmed and a lot of people are skeptical.

I think that if the news turned out to be true we could be looking at $3000 or so. But really right now we have strong support at $4000, as shown even before this event when China decided to ban ICOs. Bitcoin price still held up at $4000 nicely.

You buy whenever you feel comfortable. That for me is around $3500-4000.
950  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has Crypto currency reached its maximum market cap? on: September 10, 2017, 07:13:40 AM
Nowadays we have seen a lot of regulations on crypto currency.Though it has many salient features, the government has no partiality over it.In the perspective of government, it could be an encouragement to the under world. No government likes anonymous transactions. Even though it is a decentralized market, but it doesn't mean that it is completely isolated from regulations and all. One or the other way government will try to suppress this.If this happens then there will be no one interested to invest in the crypto currency. I fear one day all coins would lose their value if this happens.

I don't think that we have seen even one tenth of what bitcoin can achieve.

Also bear in mind that market capitalization is not an accurate depiction of the success of a project. But anyways, as bitcoin is a store of value and fiat is depreciative by nature, bitcoin will always increase in market capitalization in the long run as long as the user base remains constant or grows.

Governments can only ban bitcoin exchanges, and not bitcoin itself. If they ban exchanges then trading will just move to p2p and people will accept BTC directly, which is even better.
951  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: bitcoinemail.org decentralized temporary emails on: September 10, 2017, 06:23:39 AM
I like the way that you have linked basically self-destructing messages with the convenience of anonymous temporary emails. Security is a huge concern when it comes to temporary emails as you often send confirmations emails there.

I would definitely try to make this process decentralized, because currently it isn't and it's really not fair to call it decentralized Tongue Decentralized =\= disposable.

The domain is pretty nice, though. Is there anything else other than donations in bitcoin that this project utilises bitcoin for?
952  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to design a perfect cold storage? on: September 10, 2017, 06:12:04 AM
give your family an empty wallet. make a signed transaction, unbroadcasted in your safe deposit box. if you die, they can broadcast it to their wallet.

Nice idea. Never thought of that. How do I do it?

It's called an nLocktime transaction.

You can do it on greenaddress.it or you can do it manually(complicated as hell, i have never done it myself). Basically when a certain block height is reached your family member is able to get the transaction and broadcast it to the network, before that block height is reached they can't do anything with the raw transaction.

See here for an example and a tutorial: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/397xv3/howto_nlocktime_transaction_as_a_dead_mans_switch/

Just make sure that the private key that your family member holds is secure and completely offline as well, otherwise this setup is useless.

954  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blocktrail / BTC.COM - Sent a transaction of 100$ with 0.00001 BTC Fees :o on: September 10, 2017, 03:48:12 AM
Friend, I also read a similar thread about coinbase. I don't know whats happening today. If the transaction fees is zero, then its good for the bitcoin community. But when I send some money with my electrum wallet today, transaction fees was around 0.0005Btc. Anyways you guys are lucky to have zero transaction fees.

Anyone is able to send bitcoin with zero fees. It's just that you may never get a confirmation or you may be waiting for a long time before you get a confirmation on your transaction, that is all. You are free to choose the amount of fees you pay, but wallet services usually decide for you the recommended amount.

@OP, On btc.com i think you get some free uses on their accelerator, which basically means that you are able to send your transaction with a small amount of fee and still get it confirmed in a relatively short period of time as soon as their pool mines a block. I think this is what happened here.

See https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/btccom-wallet-tries-discounting-some-priority-transaction-fees/ for more info.
955  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: So I deposited some of my BTC to Binance on: September 09, 2017, 03:54:32 AM
This is extremely strange. I have not seen any exchanges require more than 6 confirmations for bitcoin transactions.

If they require 30 then what's the point of using bitcoin at all? 30 confirmations will take 300 minutes or 5 hours on average to achieve, and that's a huge waste of time.

I would recommend switching to another exchange to be honest, because altcoins are so volatile and you don't want to miss your chance to buy in before the pump. Unfortunately, you missed out on profit this time already. Don't think there is much of a chance they will refund you, as they don't have that liability. This is why when doing small altcoin trades i use either changer or shapeshift.
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins dropped by almost 500 $ just a few minutes on: September 09, 2017, 03:45:22 AM
Bitcoins dropped by almost 500 $ just a few minutes after declaring the Chinese government to stop the operation of exchagers in their country
Do you think it will affect us? I know that in bitcoins but we know that here in china. The people behind the manipulation of the price of altcoins. Is it going to stop?

https://techcrunch.com/2017/09/08/bitcoin-price-drops-following-report-that-china-is-going-to-shut-down-local-exchanges/

First of all, no. The bitcoin price did not drop by $500 in a few minutes. It was a few hours, rather.

We are floating around $4200 right now. I think that people are starting to realize that this isn't confirmed news by any means. No exchanges have received anything from the regulators, and no chinese exchange is going down at least right now.

It really depends on next week, whether this news turns out to be true or not. If not then we can see a healthy recovery back to $4500. Right now on OKCoin the price is at $3800, significantly lower than western exchanges so we could see another small dip before the outcome is announced.
957  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese ban bitcoin news is 100% pure bullshit on: September 09, 2017, 03:21:19 AM
We can't really tell right now whether or not news is bullshit. The chances are probably close to 50/50 but i'm leaning towards BS here. If the government was to shut down the exchanges then they would have definitely warned the exchanges beforehand.

But the on the other hand, everyone's covering it. I don't know whether it's just that they are stupid to not check the source, but this source seems somewhat trusted.

Anyways, the price has recovered from $4100 to $4200 now. I think we might see btc dip below $4000 before bouncing back up.
958  Economy / Economics / Re: Mental barrier stops from buying BTC on: September 09, 2017, 01:52:31 AM
Not so long ago we've all whitnessed bitcoin at price 2k usd per btc. Now it is 4k. Sometimes before buying BTC I have a strong feeling that the price will fall pretty soon and I hould wait a bit before buying. Usually it all ends bad. Anyone have the same problem? How are you dealing with it?

The price is most likely going to be dumped hard very soon.

Even without all this negative press coverage and new regulations that strongly oppose bitcoin from China i think the eventual adjustment of price downwards will be inevitable. Bitcoin is not something that can always go up so quickly. It is a currency, and even though currencies can be considered investments they still don't achieve crazy returns in the long run that btc has achieved over the past few months. It's not sustainable growth.

I would say that buy bitcoin when nobody is talking about it, sell when everyone is.
959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: where do whales sell/buy btc? on: September 09, 2017, 01:21:47 AM
Wondering where do big players/hedge funds buy/sell big sums of btc, and where they exchange it to fiat?

On exchanges just like everyone else.

P2P trading is possible but then i don't think that it is very convenient for them as it is hard for them to get someone to supply them with the amount of cash/bitcoin that they need on a regular basis. Plus, p2p usually has worse rates.

There is an option with bitfinex where you can trade directly with another whale, without disturbing the markets. That could be viable too, though i haven't heard of any whales use it actively.
960  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitsler.com not fare and scam the player who win the game on: September 09, 2017, 01:09:41 AM
Personally i've played on bitsler numerous times and have never had any issues. So they are not scam. And they have facilitated withdrawals for countless whales as well, if they were really a scam then they would have scammed them instead of denying your withdrawal.

I think that what you did was claim the faucet, play it up a bit, exchange it to doge, deposit some doge and withdraw doge with the faucet earnings.

This would be faucet abuse in my opinion because of the fact that you are not here to take risks at all. You're just here to earn money without risk, and baryom is quite strict on these. Unless i have gotten something wrong in which case please correct me.
