942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snowballs | Do you have BALLS for a ROLLERCOASTER!? | HARD FORK - UPDATE!! on: November 15, 2014, 03:38:20 PM
Pool is back up and running.

I showed I had a little over 84 million shares on the scrypt pool for the end of the shift, which I believe was for 2 days of work. Now I am only showing only 21 million shares.

Is it because of shares have been sold for the difference or some glitch?

Anyone mining the multipool with scrypt?

There are stats for Thursday Nov 13th for X11 and sha256 but nothing for scrypt. Also my confirmed stats has stayed the same for over 4 or 5 hours now.

Just checking if it's just me.
944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEOS]Neos v2.0.1 Released - Official Upgrade Thread - Performance & More on: November 13, 2014, 12:31:43 PM
I did the upgrade from version 2.0 to 2.0.1.

how exactly do i refresh the wallet to get the balance to show up?

Hey antonio,

It should show right up after you refresh the page.  If you're not seeing that, I'd be more than happy to teamview/vnc in and see what's going on and situate you.  I could have you fixed up within minutes most likely.

    Best regards,

syntaks

Few quick questions first.

Could you please explain what you mean by "refresh" the page? The "refresh" button for the internet browser? I don't see a "refresh" button in the wallet.

Do I have to copy the wallet.dat from the appdata folder to the 2.0.1 installed folder? As in the c/programfilesx86/neos folder?

I tried opening the old 2.0 folder but get an errror. So I copied the 2.0 folder to a second computer and opened it there and all my coins showed up instantly so I believe my wallet.dat is not corrupt.

Not sure if Epsylon3 has asked but I'll will for him

PLEASE DONATE  to him for his work he has been putting in and improving his miner.

We should donate to all these devs that put out these miners and enhancements. Without them we would have nothing.
947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snowballs | Do you have the BALLS for 5000% PoS | Custom Multipool is LIVE on: November 12, 2014, 02:14:13 PM
Just si i understand correct.

Every time we add new coins to the wallet the stake time resets itself back to square one? Say I buy coins and send them to my wallet, the 24 hour stake time resets to the point they enter the wallet?

If so next question.

Wouldn't the daily payouts from the multipool reset the stake time? And if so then we would never stake.

The reason I ask is I had stakes showing in my wallet within 4 hours. I sent some Balls from BitTrex then the wallet stake went away. I hover over it and it says "Not staking because I don't have mature coins."

Doesn't reset stake time when you send coins to the wallet.

People you need to learn how PoS works.. I hear some outlandish shit lately.

I understand completely how staking works.

Still doesn't answer my question why I went from 4 hours expected to no mature coins and now 2 days till staking, which I know will decrease as time passes so not a full 2 days.

Don't answer if you can't help with the specific question, it does no one good.

Smiley Wink Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley :)the following are just my opinion  Cheesy Grin Grin Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

1. we need a maximum number of coins to establish balls as a coin.

2. we need vast social media coverage using our main force that says that balls will grow larger (13%) per day

3 we need merchant acceptance (high quality merchants like gold and precious metals or other things of real value so that fees dont play a vital matter but help keep staking alive

4 we need irc channel and tipbots that tip miniscule or big amounts but allow offchain transactions so users can get their hands on their balls easier, this will provide more and much needed exposure to the general public more stakers and so on

5 we need more exchanges acceptance

6 distribution of the coins seems ok although there seems to be a few number of whales

7 if we are to survive as a coin people must hold their coins long term or buy more to support the network

8 ann thread seems plain but informative. we need more graphics and information because at this point its our face to the world.

9 a foundation to keep a look on things

"Yeah so technically it must not fall below 50% a week.. Smiley Thanks for that.."

if the above statement from a woman with balls is correct (seems to me to be) the coin can very well counter exchange attacks

also more features like tor anonimity in cooperation with other coins devs.

this coin is just unique and may be the next bitcoin my friends because it allows sustainable minting without the need to mine anything.

my balls address : SQYzqnepFjmSJDLhCCTDfm8dcSoY6x5PKZ

Good points. An addition on this.

Maybe there can be created a sort of super snowball. Witch you only can get by burning normal snowballs (maybe 100000), something like dogeparty. Could help to control the inflation.

Item #5
No more small unsafe exchanges.  If anything, lets work on cryptsy.  Last thing I want is to move my BALLS to an exchange and it shutdown.  Anyway everyone should have their BALLS in their wallet to STAKE.  no sense leaving them on a exchange.

STAKE STAKE STAKE

BTCBTC
DoubleDD

Is poloniex considered "small and unsafe" ?

You might consider Poloniex small but I would not call it unsafe. I wish they got more volume on that exchange. the person or people running it is awesome.

Small background. I lost some BTC there once when the exchange got hacked, long time ago. Instead of closing down, like most other exchanges, The people behind it stayed open and payed everyone back everything they lost. If I remember correctly they upped the fees for just a little while to help out but lowered it back. I even had them take me off the list of being paid back since my amount was so small at the time.

But to the point of "unsafe". If you think about it, every exchange is unsafe. Don't leave any coins on any exchange that you are not willing to lose. Some of the "safest" exchanges has taught this lesson, Mt. Gox, Crypto Rush, and heck have you kept up with the Mint Pal fiasco?

951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GAP] Gapcoin - Prime Gap Search - New Math Algo - CPU / GPU - Zero Premine on: November 08, 2014, 02:04:04 PM
I'll admit that I am not always the brightest and this has been asked a ton.

I created 2 different folders one 280x (device 0) and one 270x (device 1). I have in 280x folder --use-gpu 0. I have in 270x folder --use-gpu 1.

The 280x runs fine. I start the bat in 270x (gpu 1) and the bat runs gpu 0, the 280x.

Can someone enlighten me please.

-d 0 and -d 1 and --use-gpu without any numbers

Awesome man. I really appreciate that.

Got them up and running.

Can someone help me i get this eror http://postimg.org/image/i3evcadmn/

Thx in advance
delete stratum option and change port

it's working thx and how can in use all my 5 cards because it's working just Gpu[0]

Just in case you have not got them going, the answer was right in the quote.

Use an instance for each card.

So I have a wallet that when I open I get this error "Warning: error reading wallet.dat! All keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book entries might be missing or incorrect."  I hit the "OK" button to close the screen and the wallet closes.

Anything I might be able to try? Looks like I never made a backup of the wallet.dat.

There are currently quite a few forks on the network unfortunately...

Do we know what pools are on the correct forks and which algo is correct?

OC,

Is your mry-gro pool on correct fork?

Just checked and both pools are on the correct fork, myrgrs.suprnova.cc and myrq.suprnova.cc

OC,

You the man.

A bit off topic, but I have a card which keeps crashing not just the miner, but the whole computer after a few minutes/hours randomly;
The card is a 780 Ti sitting with 5 x 750 Ti and whatever I do or whichever fork I use, it crashes the miner which start stressing the cpu at 100% (at which point the GPU usage is 0% for all cards) and after a few minutes without forcibly closing the miner, they PC just freezes, no BSOD, no restart, just completely loses interactivity. If I close the miner before that, the System process completely hogs one CPU core (25%, i3) and the PC becomes very unresponsive and it can barely do anything until a restart. Tried different risers, a few different drivers, replaced the GPU BIOS, downclocked but none of that helped. It only does that during mining and the PSU can't be the culprit.

The event log wasn't much of a help:
The description for Event ID 13 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found.
Graphics Exception: ESR 0x506224=0x80000041 0x506228=0x10a40f 0x50622c=0x280 0x506234=0x0
NVRM: Graphics TEX Exception on (GPC 0, TPC 4):     TEX NACK / Page Fault

How big and what kind of PSU do you have?

Just curious I had a problem with one before that caused all kinds of issues until I replaced it.

EVGA SuperNOVA G2 1300W but also tried it with a 850W PSU.

Talking about elecricity, mine just got increased to around .16.

Have you tried running Precision (that is what I use) or something similar and then when this happens see if it still shows 6 active cards?

Maybe you have 1 card going bad. If this is the case you  should see 5 cards instead of 6 cards in the read out (at least I would with Precision).

Just trying some ideas.

I only mentioned the power supply earlier because I was having problems also, freezing, shut downs, losing cards (4 cards working instead of 5). Finally narrowed mine down to the PSU one day accidentally touching it while changing risers and it was burning hot.

Anyone?

OC,

My post might have been lost, but what if I have less than 20 Balls on your pool? Can I still withdraw them since the tx is 20 balls?

Hey, i can send them to you directly, just send me a message with your username, userid and payout address

Thanks.
