Might be a good time to remind people that Bitcoin superdev Peter Todd is working on this coin!

Only problem is with the current price of VIA....  Sad

At current price we are still >5x IPO price so don't expect too much more of a gain til old money flows out and fresh money flows in

Screw all the idiots who dumped below IPO price. Seriously though, I love thinking about how all those 13 year old kids couldn't handle a shaky start and instead dumped for a loss.. Fucking idiots. None of them were in it for the right reasons anyways. Just a bunch of fucking clowns trying to make a quick buck off of the IPO who couldn't give two shits about what the coin is actually set to achieve. They fucking deserve it. Can u deliver it or in within 48 hours again?.. (honest question no fud now..)  Smiley

Seriously do you have mental problems? What the hell is wrong with you? You gotta catch a bus or something? People like this guy make long term investing suicidal. Everybody is in it for the quick buck in crypto. Nobody sees the long term picture anymore. I'm gonna kill myself eventually if I keep reading these posts. I'll do something less annoying like watch The Real Housewives of XXXX.

Lol. Spot on!

no I'm pretty sure it is jebus but I'm still interested in the coin if this can be sorted out... look at storj, more problems. sys well i don't need to get into that, but xcloud is a success...

sticking around to see how he responds

thanx

You definition of success is, apparently, immediate gains for IPO investors...

Storj and Sys have a much better chance of achieving long-term, meaningful success if their goals reach fruition.
Xcloud does not even incorporate the blockchain into its applications.. it is centralized cloud storage paid for, quite arbitrarily, with a cryptocurrency... and it is starting to look like the pump is over.

At least Storj and Sys strive to expand upon the decentralized ideals of bitcoin and provide new applications and capabilities to a blockchain.

And many developers take a 1% premine, wait 2 days, dump it all and then clone another coin and repeat. Don't forget audacious roadmaps that never materialize (anon! marketplaces! magic! pixie dust!). You're right, that doesn't take any effort. That is not Syscoin.

See also: the last 2months of scams in crypto.

You just explained one scenario that kept repeating these past few months. But, go backwards to the beginnings (e.g. Bitcoin/Litecoin/Peercoin). You dont even have to look that far back, check out Darkcoin and you will see there was no premine, no IPO. They did not "need" it, they did not want all those investors. That was my whole point since I started this conversation, by doing the IPO you have commited yourself to the investors and in a sense the "Syscoin Team" does owe them. Anyways I was just defending myself against vicvelcro who spat out incoherent replies, in which I immediately understood he was under distress and stopped the conversation.

forgetting the darkcoin instamine so soon??

Lol. Jinx.

I thought everybody knew about the huge Darkcoin instamine

gameleaguedev, can you tell how many coins are there in existance?
You can calculate it,first year 50% interest , but there was a very long time did not interest ,may be between 540 + to 550+ millions now!But ultimately depends on block explored!

My wallet console says ""moneysupply" : 542137734.14399505," - if that's true it appears that GML Market Cap is ~$1 600 000 at current prices  Shocked Is that correct  Huh

I would like to know as well..

On the bright side... somebody is obviously accumulating. You can see moderately large 2-3 btc buy orders being executed periodically, slow enough to let sell build up and not move the price too much. Executed sells are generally very small...

Got my eyes on this but a bit confused by the IPO- just an address to send BTC to and very little supporting info. Is there a min/max investment? Is there an overall cap on the IPO? Is there a set price for the coins or does it depend on how much is raised? Is it escrowed?

I'll be keeping an eye on it.

I don't know what's happening....my wallet doesn't generate poscoins anymore
u must open your wallet everyday! Cool

even if I don't do it, poscoins should be generated when I reopen it
no,if u can,u open your wallet 7*24 ...haha

Mr. Dev

could you please help

I'm not dev either but let me give it a whack.

Finding PoS blocks is analogous to finding PoW blocks, where coinage is analogous to hashpower. The more coinage you have, the more likely you are to find a block. You gather coinage even when your wallet is offline, but you need to be online to stake the coinage and find a block- and this process takes a variable amount of time depending on the relative weight of your stake compared to the total network weight.

I'm not keen on the specs of this coin, but I imagine there is a minimum staking age. Meaning once some coins find a block, they have to age a certain amount before they can be staked again.

So perhaps you are not leaving your wallet open long enough for your staked coins to find a block, or you need to let more of your coins age longer, or a combination of the two (if only some of your coins are aged it might take longer for them to find a block, so if you wait and let more of your coins reach maturity you should find one quicker when you turn the wallet on).
951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VIA] ★ Viacoin ★ ~ the future of digital currency ~ ★ on: August 17, 2014, 06:52:56 PM
So who dumped their via and bought sys?  Grin

lol...i bought into that train wreck and glad i'm out. what a nightmare. and the experience between the two coin launches couldn't have been any more different - the difference between night and day. we might get the BTCs flowing back into VIA from the SYS debacle.

Yes, night and day. One coin was nothing but a litecoin scrypt clone at launch (sure glad nothing went wrong with launching that, seeing as how scrypt clones have been launched countless times now) and the other was something new at launch. Same reason crypti is struggling at launch, because they actually incorporated new code and functions at launch...

If SYS could have launched a vanilla scrypt coin at first, and then added the other functions only as they became 100% ready (similar to how drak added clearninghouse only after it was 100% ready) then the launch probably would not have been as much of a mess. This is probably what they should have done.
952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 17, 2014, 06:44:24 PM
Can anyone answer this - why did the devs return 234btc back to moolah? And regarding to rumors here they should be used these money for forming buy wall. Buy wall 200+btc set. But money has been already returned. Is something wrong with this?

the answer is a simple one - it was a public display that they are serious and committed to the join - it's was kid of like taking money for work that was not done right - they're fixing the wallet now beause that's their responibility.

after a while you'll come across some coins where the devs take the ipo money and simply disappear - these guys are not that way...

I respect them for that...

and when the dust settles - please feel free to mine this coin at sys.lifeforce.info

Smiley

Absolutely. It was a statement of transparency.  The devs are saying, "We won't get our money until you get yours." Smiley

You both don't understand the question.
Those btc were meant for the walls.
The btc got returned.
Why where the btc still in the support walls?

How do you know it was/is their btc in the support walls? Could be anybody putting buy orders up..
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | XCR | Launch August | 100% POS | New Source | Trading has begun! on: August 17, 2014, 06:39:04 PM
Does anyone know what happened to the Syscoin launch? I'm hearing there is a lot of drama going on but I missed the developments apparently.

Looking thru the blog posts, this is what I have found out.  If any of our blog readers are Syscoin investors, please correct me.

It seems that Syscoin had an IPO and collected 250 BTC.  The devs promised to set the BTC as a SELL WALL on an exchange, so it the price ever fell to the IPO price of around 500 satoshi, the original investors could sell and get their BTC back.

Apparently, the devs have absconded with the BTC and are not answering email or blog posts.

"I'm shocked, I tell you........ Shocked! !!"

Nice blatant lying...

First of all the IPO collected 1500 btc in total.

Things did not work as expected at launch so people were upset.

Moolah attempted to hand over 250 btc of the escrowed funds to the devs.

The devs returned the 250 btc because they knew people were not satisfied with the launch yet.

So no, the devs have not absconded with any BTC- quite the opposite- and they are responding and working on the issues..
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 17, 2014, 06:32:18 PM
Q: How long have you been working on this project? And could you briefly describe your planned time commitment to this going forward?
A: 8+ months, time commitment moving forward is as much time as we have outside of our normal day-job/lives and we are also on-boarding additional developers to supplement that capacity if/when needed.

^ this does not look like something that took 8 months to develop.

I think it is time to start refunding people their IPO money in exchange for their coins.

+1

You should understand before you invest.  They don't have to refund ANYTHING now.  The deal was you invest and if they don't deliver a code and wallet on the 16th than you get your money back.  It doesn't say anything about contingencies of re-working the code or forks.  The fact is that it did work for awhile.  If you want your money back forget it.

Just be patient, for goodness sakes.  This thing has been out for less than 24 hours.  Give them the opportunity to tweak.

youre a retard. code did not work at all. give me 2btc i will create you a better coin. coins are stuck snd not going through duh.

(1)  If you're going to call someone a retard, than use proper punctuation for pity's sake. (2) The term retard is offensive and, (3) You have no choice.  You can name call all you want, but your only choice is to wait it out.  Dummy.

sure pay me 2 btc and i will create a new coin with working daemon. linux macand windows qt wallets. i am on phone thats why all the mistakes with grammar

Oh cool you can make another shitcoin with no new features or code?!? But with a working daemon?! and linux, mac, and windows wallet!?! WOW!!!!! You mean, just like the 300+ other shitcoins with working wallets?!?

955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 17, 2014, 03:37:00 AM
Lots of people in EUROPE lost out good chance of profits at launch because of poor launch time.....

It is not possible to launch at a convenient time for everybody... and if people think dumping as soon as the coin hits the exchange is the best and only way to take profit then you should not have gotten involved in this project to begin with.

Then why not at least launch in a convenient time for the places most involved in crypto? Also, selling @ 3k and buying back @ 800 is actually something very nice, i dont know where the hell you come from but lots of people only buy into ipo's just for quick profit, not me but im sure lots of people do it..

Well if you are one of those people then you should be more than willing to stay up and wait for the launch time if all you want is to dump right away... You can't have the launch time be convenient for all of Europe and the United States and Asia... Sorry bud but that is a stupid complaint. The "places most involved in crypto" aren't all in the same time zone.

we all have no node ,but where's syscoin in mintpal  come from?

dev team ,you should explain right now

no one explain what had happened?

it's very important

The wallet worked for me right away, without having to add any conf file. I am sure others got theirs to work, too.
