The first 45 minutes have seen Liverpool dominate in everything in this game and the scoreline ended in their favour 2:1. Despite the quick goal that was scored by Antoine Semenyo in the 3rd minute of the game Liverpool was able to get a reply and managed to get the second goal that was score my Mohamed Salah to give them an edge over the visitors. It's going to be all three points for the home team I think because they have been the better team so far this first 45 minute.
Coming back to score two goals is really something amazing because everyone was scared that Liverpool is going to lose or draw,although the game has not ended,and Bornamouth are now pulling a threat to equalise the goals scored to make it 2-2,and I see that happening because Liverpool are not too strong defensive,they have been making silly mistakes that their opponent can capitalise on.As a matter of fact,If Liverpool fail to secure this three points,then their chances of making the top four this season will be slim because teams like Briton and Newcastle are trying everything possible to win all their games early so that when fatigue and burn out comes,it will be that they have secured enough points. Manchester City has added another trophy to their chest. They were the favorites and they proved their worth. City had a greater hold of the midfield and dominated the game. Kudos to Palmer for canceling En-Nesyri's goal in the second half. If not for that goal Sevilla would have defended their single goal till the end. The match was not rough or physical and only two yellow cards were issued which went to Servilla players.
Manchester City control the match with high ball possession is normal with them but beating Sevilla in Europe and winning another trophy is good for Manchester City. They are becoming a giant in Europe and can be another successful club like Chelsea after spending so much money in the past twenty years. This trophy gives Manchester City more confidence in their adventure to protect Champions League trophy and they are aiming at a second club in history can defend Champions League title. So far only Real Madrid successfully defend their titles. This is one of the matches I'm looking forward to even though Manchester City are definitely the clear favourites in this match but I hope there's something more Newcastle can show in this match.
The odds on offer are also quite attractive as 1.64 for Manchester City makes quite a difference to the odds of 5.00 given to Newcastle.
But on the other hand, I think for this match the chances of either club winning is likely to be slim and I will be on Manchester City in this match.

This is just the first game of the season; the performance ofcourse is not up to standard; but it is not an indication of a failed season at all. When its december; after 18 games played; then you can judge if the team is fighting for the league or just the top 4 champions league position. Manchester united have really performed below standard in their first leg in this season, and being one of the clubs that many look out for this season because of the huge amount spent by the club in fixing the club ahead of this season but the reality is beginning to look as if Manchester United will be facing another bad season just like the last season. Manchester United have not been the same since Ronaldo left the club and for almost 3 seasons now, Manchester United have not been able to have a fitting replacement for that wing that will aid them in fast goal scores like C Ronaldo. We can't just blame them completely because the season is just starting and most of the teams have not picked form,almost all the teams did not play well except some teams like Manchester City and Newcastle that really tried,I watched Arsenal's game and Britton's game and they didn't play anything too good,they were just struggling,but they still ended up winning, samething to Man u.The first game is not one that we can actually be very sure of,it's always very difficult to play the first game and come out victorious in it. After being linked with Inter this time Balogun is speculated with Tottenham now. Because as you know Tottenham have just lost Harry Kane to Bayern Munich so they are in need of a striker now. They have Son and Richarlison who can play in this position maybe but I don't know if any of them would perform the same as Kane. If i am to predict tonight's game,I think it's going to be a 1:1 draw between the two clubs.I predicted that Chelsea and Liverpool will draw yesterday,I also predicted Totthenham and Brendfort to be draw and it played.Lets see how my prediction will look like tonight. |
