941  Local / India / Re: Shadow Ban on Crypto Exchanges on: December 31, 2023, 04:10:04 AM
LOLz the government here is like lets ban the URL and nobody can access it. They forget what Proxies, VPNs are and how TOR can also be used to bypass all such rules. Previously we have had Porn ban and that only led to more VPNs running their businesses well in the country. Idiotic 8th standard fail politicians can even speak the C of crypto and they are making rules for the commoners.

However money laundering is rampant through crypto in India but this is not the method to control it.

At least someone had a benefit out of this decision from the government i.e. VPN companies had a rise in traffic.
On the other hand, don't you think there's a little risk if we use VPN or Tor to access our crypto accounts ?
The traffic passes through these VPN tunnels and using Tor or other free VPNs might expose our data to them.

But anyway, I feel that these crypto exchanges will soon comply with AML policies now that the government had made the announcement.

That's true, but as long as you use reputed vpn providers, it shouldn't happen. ProtonVPN, Windscribe are few of good ones, I have personally used.

Also, I feel if crypto exchanges start banning vpn use, like casinos do, then things might turn out bit difficult for traders especially if they get caught.

I don't think that exchanges in such a situation would ban VPN. They need that Indian user base and moreover I feel they would comply to the Indian government policy. They don't want to lose the volume Indian crypto users are generating on thier exchanges.
942  Local / India / Re: [November Update] Indian Board activity on Bitcointalk on: December 30, 2023, 10:46:01 AM
November stats are not that good and the same can be expected for December. We are like four or five guys who are regular on the board and we cannot make those numbers go up. New members are hardly been seen here, those who were active might have stopped due to not getting merited on their efforts. October was good for the board do not know what happened last month.
943  Local / India / Re: Shadow Ban on Crypto Exchanges on: December 30, 2023, 10:40:45 AM
Ban the URL is a way of saying ban the application and the online access to these exchanges. I have not been able to find out when will this ban happen. I am only getting information that these 8 exchanges need to comply with AML policy and if not then they will place the ban. A ban in this age of the internet is never possible as there is always another way to access those URLs. So the government ban will not work unless they ban the internet in India or the exchange stops onboarding Indian crypto users.
944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of privacy coins and tokens? on: December 30, 2023, 10:31:10 AM
There are other exchanges where these coins are listed, if a couple of exchanges delist them that does not mean it will affect them. For now, this news might have been a shock for the community and that is the reason why their price is in the red. Unless these coins get dumped by all exchanges I do not think there is any need to panic. The reason for delisting has not been shared by OKX exchange, as these are privacy coins I think it might be due to the pressure of some government authority.
945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your altcoin holding with low value on: December 30, 2023, 10:17:49 AM
I have never participated in an altcoin signature campaign. I wouldn't know how those coin perform in the long term. If I had the chance of selling them in the first instance then I would. If not then hold them depending the performance of the cryptocurrency and how development is going on.
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana (SOL) Where will it end? $80 21th DEC 23 on: December 30, 2023, 05:40:00 AM
Solana Coin is on a lot of hype right now in this bull market I think Solana Coin investing and trading is very risky. Because the ups and downs of the market can dump Solana coins from time to time. We have seen Solana Coin reach $8 during market dumping. The market recovered from $8 to reach $126. Now we can see that Solana Coin is currently sitting at $106.Business means risk, Those who can take risks in business can also find success. But anyone can trade or invest at their own risk.

My understanding about the hype is because of the airdrops, the phone that has 300 BONKS in it, and Gameshift. Another reason may be FTX exchange is pumping the coin behind the back as they still hold a good amount of SOL. There can be many reasons behind such a pump, but those investors who have held SOL during its bad days are now the ones who are enjoying the good days.
947  Local / India / Re: Financial Intelligence Unit of India wants to block URL of Binance and 8 others on: December 29, 2023, 07:33:19 AM
That's not the complete news, the government of India would only ban these exchange urls if they don't follow the proper government guidelines of AML policy. The government has only issued a notice and would like to hear from them. If they don't comply then the government would ban the urls. You can read the full story in this article.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 29, 2023, 07:09:40 AM
The second match of the T20 series is New Zealand vs Bangladesh. In the second match of this series as well, the Bangladesh cricket team won the toss and invited New Zealand to bat first. New Zealand is batting at the beginning of the game at the invitation of the Bangladesh team. New Zealand lost two wicket in the collection of 61 runs at the beginning of batting. In today's second match, the Bangladesh has entered the field as the favorite team. I have chosen the Bangladesh team to bet on today's match and have placed the bet in favor of Bangladesh. Hope the players of Bangladesh team can keep their performance and play. Now let's see how much pressure the bowlers of the Bangladesh team can put on the batsmen of the New Zealand team in today's match.

Bangladesh bowlers are doing a good job, after 11 overs they have been able to restrict New Zealand to 72 runs. Things were looking good for Bangladesh when rain interrupted the match. I do not want the rain to continue for long as it might affect the game. This is a good toss to win as New Zealand is not able to get runs so easily. The present condition supports the bowling side, not sure what will happen after the rain stops. Good choice to bet on the Bangladesh team it looks like they have a chance to win the second match too.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 29, 2023, 06:52:56 AM
Bangladesh started well, they already have taken 2 wickets and allowed New Zealand to get 61 runs. 8 overs have already been bowled, another couple of wickets and New Zealand would be in trouble. Daryl Mitchell is still on the pitch and he can increase the run rate. Projected score for now is 156 runs which is defendable for the New Zealand bowlers.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 29, 2023, 06:11:07 AM
In the 2nd Test match of Australia vs Pakistan, Pakistan team scored 264 runs in 73.5 overs losing 10 wickets in 1st Innings. Australia team scored 318 runs in 96.5 overs losing 10 wickets. Australia team is leading by 241 runs.  Lyon took 4 wickets with 73 runs in 18.5 overs. Cummins took 5 wickets with 48 runs in 20 overs. Australia team bowlers Lyon and Cummins gave excellent performances which put Pakistan batsmen under pressure.
Australian International test cricket team is dominant on Pakistani team and Australian team will this match easily . Two days are remaining of 2nd test match between Australian International team and Pakistani International test cricket team. Australian should make a score of 350 runs and then they give batting to Pakistani International cricket team. Pakistani would not chase this type of big. They will all out by making only 150 runs and Australian International test cricket team has capacity to all team out on 150 runs . There is very tough time for Pakistani International cricket team. They should draw this match and practically that is not possible and Australian International cricket team will be victorious and they will lift the cup . And they deserve this.

Well, Pakistan have a good comeback in this test match. The real turning point in this test match for them was that after being all out at 264 runs, they managed to bowled out Australian team in 262 runs and this gave them a little over 300 runs target to chase in the final innings and win this test match. Thanks to Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mir Hamza who took four wickets each and let the Pakistan team back in the game.

They needed to have a good partnership in the fourth and final innings of this test. Shan Masood and Babar Azam, tried to bat out but they now have lost 5 wickets for 162 runs. Still they need 155 runs but we all know that the Pakistan batting collapse can happen at any time and Australia would be waiting it happens soon.

Pakistan's batting is looking good in the second innings, they need to chase 135 runs now. I was expecting Babar Azam to get his half-century but he got out short of 9 runs. Shaan Masood has been batting like a captain he got 54 runs in the first innings and now 60 runs. I think this time Pakistan will be able to chase the remaining runs. Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Agha are looking good if these to can add 100 runs then there is a possibility that Pakistan can win the second test.
951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS BLOCKCHAIN on: December 29, 2023, 05:50:00 AM
It was once one of the most sought-after cryptocurrencies with a good market cap back in 2018. At that time it was trading above $20, now it is down by more than 90%. It did not even perform well in 2021, not much development has happened on it which might be the main reason no one is interested in it anymore. There is an article that talks about in detail the reason why EOS no longer a cryptocurrency to invest in. Sharing the link to the article, if anyone here is interested in finding the reason of EOS decline.
952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: December 29, 2023, 05:36:48 AM
There are two reasons why Shiba INU will never reach $1, the first one is the large supply. A good amount of token burn needs to happen for it to reach that figure. The next reason would be its use case unless the developers come up with something effective for tokens to be used to support the large supply until then it would be hard for it to reach $1.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which blockchain has the highest rated TPS? on: December 29, 2023, 05:20:44 AM

Blockchains like XRP and Solana claim to process large TPS, but that hasn't been proven yet (AFAIK). If there's a blockchain network that can handle many TPS like Visa, then crypto would be on a road towards massive adoption worldwide.

As far as I know, you would only find a lot of claims but no actual evidence. As you and mk4 mentioned Solana is still the leader as of now. There have been claims by Fantom and Elrond that they have a TPS of more than 10k but there is no actual evidence provided by them.
954  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: December 29, 2023, 05:05:02 AM
The first test match was lost by the Indian team due to bad batting. Except for Kohli and KL Rahul, all other batters were not able to score runs that they were supposed to do. Rohit Sharma being a captain was a big failure in both innings of the match. In the first inning, he got 5 runs and in the second he got a duck. The same can be said for Jaiswal since he reached double figures in the first inning I won't complain much about him. In this manner, if the Indian team keeps on batting then they will lose the test series.
955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ordinals website is under a DDoS attack on: December 28, 2023, 09:21:42 AM
Spending money to organise a DDOS attack will only make the person or the organization doing it empty from pocket. The cannot achieve anything out os such attack as the website does not hold anything crucial for the Ordinals to stop exploiting the Bitcoin network. They price of ORDI won't stop going up and the Bitcoin transaction fees won't come down. Nothing will change except the website would shut down for few days or hours.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 28, 2023, 08:57:25 AM
India, South Africa match is looking interesting as Dean Elgar inches toward his double century. He has already got 159 runs and is now slowly going towards, what might be his maiden 200 runs in test cricket. He is getting good support from Marco Jansen from the other side. India would need to break the partnership in the early hours of day 3 of the first test. An early wicket for India would put a break to the lead which is now of 57 runs.

957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IS TRADED IN FOREX? on: December 28, 2023, 08:51:53 AM
MONEY
The uptight ones who probably got straight A's and followed all the rules as children only consider USD, EUR,JPY, GBP, and CHF as major currencies. Then they label AUD, NZD, and CAD, as 'commodity currencies.
These three letters are known as is04217 currency codes. By 1973, the international organization for stadardization [iso] established the three letters codes for currencies that we use today. other nickname for USD are green backs, bones ,benjis, benjamins,  cheddar, paper ,loot, chese bread.

I do not understand what the OP is trying to convey through this post. Is he trying to teach us about Forex or is he trying to provide us with some information? Above all creating a post about Forex which is not an altcoin on this board is not right. Either the mods delete this topic or move it to the board that suits this topic.
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees have disappointed me today on: December 28, 2023, 08:47:13 AM
I have been reading that the high transaction fees issue will fade away in some time. The only problem is that it does go away and again we go back to the normal days for some months. Then again we come across the same path that we had faced a few months back. This is an ongoing problem without any proper solution which is not helping Bitcoin. Now, after reading this post where the traditional payment was used, I also feel that the fees are not justified to Bitcoin's original identity.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have we overlooked the many potentials of altcoins? on: December 28, 2023, 08:33:30 AM
What are the best coins to use at a time when there is network congestion in the main meme pool?

For me whenever a situation like network congestion arises and transaction fees hit the roof, I prefer altcoins for payments. My most preferred is TRX as the fee is only 1 TRX for any amount, which roughly comes to $0.10. I do not think any other blockchain can beat the USD value for transaction fees. It generally remains in that same figure when congestion happens due to Bull run.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a new trend of Altcoin Bull run? on: December 28, 2023, 08:20:39 AM
Which altcoin has reached 100% in the current market? Can you list a few that you think have? I haven't seen any single one, those that are in green are either those that have been newly listed. The existing one are still way below their ATH and before halving they wouldn't reach that point. As Bitcoin keeps going in green so do altcoins. Nothing has changed from previous bill run in the current market situation.
