Thanks 24, I had not noticed the date. Only one source for this information and I wouldn't normally bite unless there were at least two. Don't know what to think now. Well it's the source you trust And for a buy in that will be the biggest in crypto history there is not enough sell orders

I am checking out some resorts to buy in the future, When the time is ripe, I Invite all the long term DigiByte holders to come for the free party Mark my words Digibyte will need 5 years to grow, honestly even if the price goes back to 10-30 in the short term it does not matter. It's very obvious which 2 coins I have complete faith in the rest are just... fugazi's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTHlXb0PXh4video blocked here on copyright grounds! Do not worry digibyters, apparently we should prepare for the biggest buy in, in crypto history if there is any truth to the latest information I've received from what has been a very reliable source, up to now. But yeah,,Care to share ? Stupid Q, Offcourse not

Everytime I see the price drop even 1 satoshi I buy more Price is controlled by a big whale No news only downwards presure... I cant complain why do every thread says their coin is the best and the price is just manipulated by whales. please stop with price is being manipulated etc etc. it is because there are no updates coming for a while and in crypto new updates are a big thing So the 12btc sell order is normal to you and everytime there is a "dump" immediatly the sell orderbook fills that gap with round figures pushing down the price.. Offcourse because we dont have allot of big news (Digispeed ) the market maker uses that to not pump the price. Well IMHO it's a shame that Digibyte is not already on 100,200,300+ sat because it deserves to be there. Here we can see that almost everyone is just waiting for news to come, play the market and really dont see what Digibyte stands for and with that the value of Digibyte really is. Buy hype sell news,,Yes,Thats the only value for 90% of the players. For now,And that will soon change.

The direct link is a good idea, and I do understand everybody else's needs. However, does DigiByte really need third party download sites (not to mention third party download sites linked to pirated software)? Think of the negative PR that comes from that! (Both conscious and subconscious.) Don't we have www.digibyte.co and github that, between the two, can take care of all of our needs? I really do like the idea about a Digibyte download site where you can download everything you need, Pictures, logo's,wallets, miners, bootstrap, video's and everything related to Digibyte.

HR, This is normal on the kickass website, Why they do this i dont know but yeah this really is a danger for everyone that uses kickass for the first time. Always use the download torrent link And it's normal for child molestors to molest children. Remember, you vote in the marketplace with your money and/or participation. When you do business with someone, you are supporting that entity. Does DigiByte want to be associated with these types of people? They're using fraud to try and get trojans on people's machines for god's sake. Normal for them? Does that mean it's okay for you? Haha dont get to agressive on this one,I really understand your point of view!... esotericizm uploaded the file just to let people check it out and because there are not that much free to use upload website/torrents, really kickass is the best on that part. I always use kickass for downloads.. Never had any problem just dont click the wrong link haha,,(easier sayd then done i know) And i dont say it's okay for me,Not at all! Only when there is nothing else to use...... Offcourse Digibyte dont want to be associated with these types of people.

Is anyone using the Linux wallet, specifically on Ubuntu? It takes forever to sync for the first time? There is no bootstrap.dat file for Linux? There are still shared library issues, and it can only be run from the command line prompt?
Your help and feedback will be much appreciated.
BTW, someone, thank you for "scanning and tipping". Great fun, isn't it?
HR, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We have experienced some issues with syncing ourselves. We are looking in to setting up a bootsrap.dat as well as some other ways to "prune" the chain. If anyone has any good resources or information on potential "pruning" options they have come across we would love to hear them. The bootstrap.dat torrent I posted earlier in the thread will work on any Operating system, be it Windows, Linux or OSX. If you build the linux wallet from source it should operate exactly how you expect it too. I have both digibyted and digibyte-QT working perfectly on a Virtual Machine. Jared you may want to take a look at Bitcoin core 0.10 and their 'headers first' implementation. It will give a similar result to Digibit in that you only need to download a percentage of the chain in order to be up and running. Edit - I'm stuck on 3g until my ISP can fix my phone line so I cant upload another bootstrap.dat but you can easily create one on windows with the following commands Open command prompt and CD to the digibyte app directory CD C:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Digibyte\blocks COPY /b blk*.dat bootstrap.dat this will concatenate(link) all the blk000*.dat files into a single bootstrap.dat file. You can then simply place the bootstrap.dat file into your Digibyte appdata directory and the Digibyte wallet should pick it up on first sync. As above this bootstrap.dat file will work on any operating system no matter which OS generated it. Digibyte Bootstrap DL link. http://kickass.to/digibyte-bootstrap-dat-blocks-2015-02-04-blocks-0-555000-t10171940.html

It really is intresting what they do and i will follow this closely but it´s all about trusting the "buyer" & "seller" in my eyes. In some countries you cannot even trust the exchanges over there. Just a example, Deposit & withdraw A: real money,How can i be shure i dont get fake money from a unknown person. Need to check every bill with a UV light or something. (Also the other way around, If i want to deposit 200$ and do this by a teller. He needs to be shure i dont give him fake money.) b:Not gonna rob me,He can get me to a place where everything is a setup and me as a tourist dont know anything about that place. (Offcourse this is also the other way around..I can rob that guy because i know he haves some cash money.) For me,, Money and a unknown person. Just so hard to trust. Yeah, I don't know, but my first, very superficial, read brings me to a similar conclusion: it's something like eBay, using a reputation system, but what's to keep someone from building up a good reputation and then making off with a good stash one fine day? Nevertheless, they are getting rave reviews, and that's usually not for nothing. I think we've got to look at this closely. There might be something there we can use. Exactly, A fake reputation with fake ID is easy to make. Form a group with 20 people and you control that area. Give eachother a good reputation and you are ready to go. The idea really is great but the trust level in this needs to be so high. With no central bank or something similar its just to easy to rip off a good trusting tourist. (No saying it's not happening now ) ADDEDBut if you can get stores accepting this thats something diffrent. Let's say, I accept this in my store. Offcourse i already have something to check fake money and the trust level in a store on both sides are already some steps higher then some random guy on the street.I dont want to rip people off in my store for a few bucks and get a bad reputation. So what about this, A person comes to my store, He can withdraw money for Digibytes,He already is in my store so the possibility that he buys something is also very high. +/+ situation for both. I create a litepaid invoice link with the ammount he wants to get in cash.(If i want euro's for the Digibytes,Or else just use Digiticker.info and calculate how much Digibytes he needs to pay for the ammount cash he wants) Did the customer buy something i will not count any fees. Litepaid deposits my money on my bank account and the customer gets his cash money right after the payment is done in my store. I dont have to pay fee to deposit my cash on the bank (6 euro for each deposit ) and the customer walks away with a trusted feeling not being ripped off. Did we just create a exchange office for Digibyte?

I feel very proud of the work I have already done Really looking forward reading this book! One question, Did you buy Digibyte after reading all these pages?

Why digibyte is so popular?
Welcome lolcaupet, Why is Digibyte so popular? Well Digibyte has proven to be a legit coin and helped out allot of others including Dogecoin. The creator/dev of Digibyte (Jared Tate) is working 24/7 on improving Digibyte and everything around this, always transparant and dedicated about everything they do and have a very strong communication with the community. The community is strong and open for everything and everyone and growing every day. Check out www.Digibyte.co and you might want to read this news article. http://www.coindesk.com/digibyte-raises-250k-altcoin-retail-payments/And thanks to Gigabit: Everyone will say their coin is undervalued, heck I am sure the PayCoin folk are saying that too I have been a professional SHA miner for about 2 years now and mined them all. Anything form MZC to DGC, from TEK to DEM, I mined them all. Only coin that is at 100,000 times undervalued is DigiByte. DigitalCoin, I like their wallet but that's pretty much it. Lately, trades have nearly halted on Cryptsy.... one investor bought BTC10.0 worth of DGB's though! Here's a few awesome features:- It'll be the fastest coin @15 seconds - Next Update Wallet 4.0 - DigiSpeed - Currently 30 secs
- The creator of DigiShield - used by other coins for their security
- Can be mined by nearly any algo
- Received a $250K investment towards opening new offices
- Focused into becoming the PayPal of cryptos.
- Is extremely active within the BitcoinTalk community
- Consistently delivers results and new features
- Active developers (Jared Tate)
- Community of enthusiastic and talented people who drive towards the coin's success
- Has its own tipping app
- Has a large supply meant to easily adapt to an increasingly large audience (1,000x more than Bitcoin)
- Only a little over a year old.
- Have a deal with retailer TofuGear Hong Kong
Get yours whilst they are cheap at around 65 sats right now; but please, go read the thread, many miners have converted entirely to DGB. Some even no longer even own nor mine any Bitcoin! Go read the thread, it's the largest next to Dark. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408268.0The OP is enlightening if you never went

Transfer with bluetooth? Please explain more! Maybe i'm missing something but what about internet and blockchain connection? Bluetooth is not connected to the internet am i right? You can't do a 'Send Digibytes' using Bluetooth, but you can make a transfer via Bluetooth when you 'Request Digibytes', which I'm assuming would be the merchant form of charging. You first choose 'Request Digibytes', enter the requested amount, then select the checkbox for 'Accept payment via Bluetooth for more reliable processing', and, finally, the person making the payment to you scans the QR code, and, voilá, the coins are sent! Wallet feedback is not highly developed however as there is nothing that overtly indicates a Bluetooth transfer has taken place. You can infer that it has happened nonetheless since the transaction is instantaneous but unconfirmed until included in the next block to be created in the blockchain . . . at least this is how I deduce things. What you said about the theoretical basis of any DGB transaction is correct though - it has to be part of a block within the blockchain - and since a direct device-to-device Bluetooth transaction circumvents that fundamental requirement, it must be assumed that the Bluetooth transaction is basically cosmetic and somewhat illusory, and really doesn't exist until finally included in the next block created in the blockchain; this assumption is basically confirmed by the empirical data gathered from actually going through and monitoring the process. DibiByte, et al., please correct me if I've got something wrong here. Also, I'd love to be able to change languages since I'd like to be able to post screenshots that everyone can understand. Thanks. Thank you HR! You really got my head twisted yesterday haha but now i understand

What about 2FA on desktop wallets & online webwallet? I believe the Electrum wallet supports this,Correct me if i'm wrong but would love to use it. Anyone more info about this?
Well, you know my opinion about anything online. Kind of like hanging your money out on a clothes line with the clothes. I agree about it being important to do everything possible to increase security without excessively burdening the user. 2FA is one such way. It's what some banks use. Another possibility is email confirmation, much like we see when doing a Cryptsy withdrawal. I also agree that, whatever the option, it should be integrated into the wallet itself. By the way, I had fun the other day installing my first Android wallet on my Tab 3. After successfully sending some DGB from my laptop, things got even more fun as I installed on my Note 3 and SCANNED the QR label to make a BLUETOOTH transfer from one to the other! The Spanish translation is top notch. Kudos to the translator. But I'd still like to know how to change languages. Haha i know your opinion about online stored funds. But indeed what you say,Every extra security option we can add is one extra. Online/phone wallets and dekstop wallets. Transfer with bluetooth? Please explain more! Maybe i'm missing something but what about internet and blockchain connection? Bluetooth is not connected to the internet am i right? I dont know about the languages, I have the Dutch version and also cannot change it.
