941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 19, 2024, 05:46:03 AM
Atletico Madrid finally emerged victorious, even though this was only a Copa del Rey match. I am sure that when they are in a La Liga match, Real Madrid will not let Atletico Madrid win easily. Currently,  many Real Madrid fans are very disappointed by this defeat. Even in this match, Real Madrid seemed to have dominated and provided quite good control of the ball.
La Liga is quite different from the main competition. Diego Simeone was overjoyed to see him and his stupendous team defeat the team's primary opponent, Real Madrid, in the Copa del Ray tournament, which is one of the most prestigious competitions for premier teams. Carlo Ancelotti had no intentions for the defeats to Atletico Madrid at Estadio Civitas. Los Blancos have been eliminated from the Copa del Ray, which is one of their disappointing hours. Los Colchoneros did not hold back, but instead pressed until they scored goals, with no compromising attempts noticed.

Who gives up that way? Hell No!! It's not over until it's over, they just need one or two additional players at most the defensive midfielder position and a defender, a loan deal would be great.
I knew they was going to lose to Real Madrid immediately I recalled they lost to Girona who couldn't get a smooth game against Real Madrid

And who says Real Madrid would be the winner of the La Liga Competition this exact season? Lol!  More five months to go, more games to be played so stop playing, we still have Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Girona all gingered up.
I assumed Real Madrid and Girona won't give up so easily for the title race. Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Athletic Club are the teams fighting for a spot in the top four, it's not an easy run but they will managed to settle in with outstanding performance. Barcelona have failed to pass the basic tests set up for them this season which are the tough fixtures. First they lost against Real Madrid and now against Girona. These teams are the main contender for the La Liga title this season and for Barcelona to fits in, they have to triggered the magical star by settling for good scores on the table.
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 17, 2024, 09:00:10 PM
There are indeed some injured players in Barcelona. All those players are Xavi's first choice players so I think that also reduces Barcelona's strength. That's Real Madrid's advantage, they can take advantage of that and win big. Indeed in a big team ideally the first and second players have the same quality. But not all clubs can be like that, even Barcelona. So injuries are an unpredictable factor and this is sometimes the reason that many coaches lose matches.
The Blaugrana are unpredictable this moment, they're gradually losing the confidence of an elite club as it stands, losing 4-1 against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final was definitely out of line and alot of things have gone wrong in Camp Nou. Xavi Hernandez is trying because most of his key players were not present in the early starts of the 2023/2024 La Liga campaign. He is entitled to doing his job but with the current situations of the team, they don't stand in any confidential position to win matches, rather they will continue to struggle. The strength of Barcelona have declined in previous matches and their opponents giving them tough moments, none of these opponents wouldn't look into the portion of using their weaknesses against them.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 17, 2024, 08:52:32 PM
There are many scenarios that could occur if Everton suffer another points deduction this season. They must try as hard as possible to keep winning points every game and fight to escape the relegation zone. Of course this is a bad moment for Everton and their players, but they can still recover to at least survive in the Premier League next season.

But the problem is, Everton's performance so far has been very poor. They have suffered 10 defeats in 21 matches and what is worse is that they have suffered 3 consecutive defeats in their last 4 matches. The team's performance is really poor and it will make it even more difficult for them to stay in the Premier League if Everton get a points deduction.
The matches are important for Everton because they're close to the relegation zone and they have to put in everything to ensure they're heading to imperatives spots on the league table. Points deduction only affected them when they decline in performance but they fought back and stand strong enough to weigh up their strength when it comes to fighting for survival. We have scenarios that would have relegated Everton in the English Premier League but things do changes with time and I've come to understand how consistent Everton have grown to become this consistent in matches.

I have doubts about Indiegogo though. It accepts credit cards USD payment but I think most people who would donate to this project would use Bitcoin or Anoncoin.

Last time we did a crowdfunder on bitcointalk and raised several thousand IIRC. Alternatively I can offer to run a crowdfunder from ExchangeD.I2P. As I am already developing a new anonymous crowdfunding platform.
947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: >>> Coin of the Decade <<< on: June 28, 2016, 01:29:17 AM
The coin of decade isnt clear right now, but i think there is a few contenders

* zcash or whatever anoncoin wins the privacycoinwarz

* etherum or whatever wins the appcoin 2.0 warz

* sucks_govt_and_bankster_cocks_coin or whatever wins the panopticon cockchain warz

But bitcoin will be the one coin to rule them all for the forseable future
948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FreeBazaar - OpenBazaar with Monero on: June 28, 2016, 12:07:20 AM
this would be a great project once monero finishes i2p integration
iirc open bazzar mentioned the possibility of running over i2p as well as they use UDP and cant run over tor
however as they are positioned go more and more mainstream i suspect this will be sidelined

URGENT!!

Can everyone please withdraw ANC from Cryptopia before the hardfork, we are running out of time to get the new wallet compiled and don't want coins getting trapped.

Thanks

What? No. I have a few hundred ANC on Cryptopia, and I'm traveling so not in a position to compile a wallet and move them off for at least a week. Get your shit together Cryptopia.

We can setup an offsite precompiled wallet so you can withdraw even after the fork if you just log a support ticket with your ANC address, no coins will be lost or stolen

cryptopia is a great site and it would be a shame if you delisted anoncoin because of this confusion

toolchains is just downloading dependancies like boost and bdb its not getting any extra libs then what other coins such as bitocoin use you can verify the urls yourself

If an exchange is having issues its best getting out early an often as opposed to getting your coins frozen. It would be better for anoncoin if cryptopia figured it out, but if they dont
its important to move your coins to either your own local wallet or to another exchange (such as exchanged.i2p).

Dont get Vern'd

I appreciate the advice, but I'd rather not be forced to liquidate my coins at a lower price, or open an account elsewhere to move them off. I tried visiting your clearnet site but was getting repeated certificate warnings (ignore first https invalid cert warning and another would pop right up) using chrome on my phone. Guess I should look at btc-38 or btc-e, I think one of them trades ANC.

I really don't see how a hardfork can affect old coins that Cryptopia already has in its wallet. I have been getting a bit suspicious of them since they added that EDRcoin that supposedly does hundreds of BTC volume per day with extremely thin order books and trades nowhere else. Hope I'm not gonna get verngoxed for my 0.15 BTC I have there, but kinda too lazy to do anything about it honestly, plus there's a few coins I like to support that I don't think trade anywhere else.

i2p.rocks is a i2p inproxy run by a well respected i2p dev
the certs are not invalid, they are self-signed, because wildcard * certs are expensive
the site works 100% fine you just have to ignore the PITA cert warnings

the hardfork wont "affect" the coins other then making withdrawals impossible until the client is updated

954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding Ethereum by Coindesk - $500 on: June 25, 2016, 06:07:48 AM
Poloniex Troll box is very excited about NEM and many people have gone from ETH to NEM.

When someone mentions another coin when criticizing another one with a larger mcap, immediately the readers suspect conflict of interest.

Will Ethereum ever recover?  Bitcoin was $1250 pre-MtGox.  I think DAO is like an MtGox event and I would be surprised if Ethereum ever hit $20 again.  Looks like the new and upcoming cryptocurrency is NEM.  Went from 300 Satoshi days ago to an ATH of 1247 Satoshi today.

I expect Ethereum will continue to rise again. There are lot of supporters and projects based on Ethereum who are determined to see it go on.

I don't know for sure if it can finally break itself sufficiently. Perhaps the next fork after this DAO one (Augur?), might do it.

The speculation side of things is somewhat disconnected from the technological realities (or at least for the near-term).

Then again, maybe this report is a signal that there isn't sufficient buying demand and that the public has turned sour on Ethereum. But seems they have too many hypes in the pipeline to stay down from too long.

Instead on focusing entirely on the DAO hack.  Shouldn't we question if there are security issues with Solidity and Ethereum itself?  I mean what if this is only the beginning.  What if other multimillion dollar dapps and daos get hacked in the future due to a fundamental flaw in the platform.

I'm sorry but we need to know.  I'm not a coder/dev, just a mere amateur trader.  So it would be nice to know from known devs what's really up with Ethereum and Solidity's security issues if there are any.

Posted by Vitalik Buterin on June 19th, 2016.

This list (original source here) is as follows:

    The DAO (obviously)
The “payout index without the underscore” ponzi (“FirePonzi”)
The casino with a public RNG seed
Governmental (1100 ETH stuck because payout exceeds gas limit)
5800 ETH swiped (by whitehats) from an ETH-backed ERC20 token
The King of the Ether game
Rubixi : Fees stolen because the constructor function had an incorrect name, allowing anyone to become the owner
Rock paper scissors trivially cheatable because the first to move shows their hand
Various instances of funds lost because a recipient contained a fallback function that consumed more than 2300 gas, causing sends to them to fail.
Various instances of call stack limit exceptions.

As  Vitalik puts it, there are some issues and several fuck ups
however he is looking at the situation naturally baised and optimistic, the situation is worse then what the article describes

such as the "Much more subtle game-theoretic weaknesses where at the limit people even debate whether or not they’re bugs: the DAO" is really a combination of lots of fuck ups
like non-acid poorly coded transactions and a recursion bug

im not an expert either, but thats how i understand it

there was a researched who also published a paper on the several security issues, not sure the link for that

coindesk has been pumping these expensive reports on various topics for a while so i guess someone is buying this crap
im guess some vc fucker just wants someone to lay it out real simple like
i can think of better things to do with 500 bones

either way, thank you OP for the leak,
