My wallet wont start anymore..error loading block database. anyone else?

Your database is corrupt. Do NOT delete your wallet.dat file, but you can delete everything else in the user/appdata/xp/ from your windows machine (if its windows).

The database should download and synch ok.

Ok, so it should be enough to download wallet again and import the wallet.dat file?

Yes download the blockchain again, just leave your wallet in the folder (keep a backup somewhere) and the wallet will automatically open your existing wallet.

For anyone having trouble synchronizing, here is a bootstrap I created. It goes to block 1343977. Unzip into your AppData folder and start wallet.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5LwuuVS-ax9Q1dsZGRKSTlEb3c/view?usp=sharing

The current node list is:

addnode=124.188.131.21
addnode=47.34.155.56
addnode=73.0.216.67
addnode=82.9.77.178
addnode=94.61.193.156

Thanks.

CryptoID is now synched up to the same block, I am also synching to the same block using the bootstrap.

You can check the blocks here - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cent/

We need to give it a couple of weeks to see if the highest wallet comes back online if not I think we should;

- do a fork
- roll back to block 1343000
- start to look at getting included on exchanges that feature a low enough exchange rate

- we could always revert to the previous fork if someone keeps a checkpoint, although that would seem pointless unless cryptsy or something came back online.

I am thinking perhaps Bter had the last blocks, would someone want to contact them to see if they have a higher block wallet to synch from?

Hello XXXCoin! Looking good.  I'm really interested in seeing this develop!  Is/Are there any plans for a paper wallet support like walletgenerator.net or similar? Thanks.  Smiley

Just need to see what happens, Bitcointalk in general is very quiet, there's little incentive to do much at all at the moment, although I would hate to see it fail so trying to help keep it going.
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CENT] Pennies relaunched on: October 02, 2016, 06:11:27 PM
Why do you guys want to try to resurrect this coin ? I don't even see a market for it so even if you get the bootstrap working well and everything then what will you do with your cents ?

It's not being "resurrected";

- trust was placed in the "Cent Team (cent.rocks)" keeping this blockchain updated and continuous
- people have invested time and money in this coin and therefore there are stakeholders

Personally I am tired of the losses that people have occurred investing in good faith that these things will continue, you only have to look at the Bittrex delisting to see the number of coins abandoned or not being supported. I am unhappy with this.

To answer your question, I quote from above;

"Because pennies is not a divisible denomination, e.g, one coin is one coin, it could be easily given a fixed global value that is not subject to devaluation despite POS, which means it could create new wealth if an agreement can be reached with financial services authorities. Responsibility of wealth control via the power of debt issuance must be taken away from those institutions and bankers and the continuation of the debt based model, we no longer require that in society."

If you are unable to see a market for it, that's up to you, personally I can see a number of key markets for this coin and as such I will continue to support and develop accordingly with my partners and stakeholders.

Pool is back up with new ports Smiley

please have a look and change your ports on your miners Smiley

Thanks Welshy, theres around 35 billion coins left to mine, once all 100 billion are mined it will be 100% POS.
Awesome!

Were you able to implement the bootstrap I provided? If so, do you think I could share with everyone?

Im just importing it at the moment, its probably going to take a day or two to get up to the latest block.
Once I have imported the bootstrap fully I will let you know.
I have also sent the link to CryptoID to update their node to your block.
Thanks alot for doing that, see what happens over the next few days.
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CENT] Pennies relaunched on: October 02, 2016, 04:41:55 PM
It means the receiver dealing with Cryptsy will be auctioning off the low value coins in the Cryptsy wallets he controls. If he holds the Pennies wallet he will auction them off for an extremely low price if that's all he can get for them. It's probably best to wait until after the auction before trying to get Pennies back on an exchange.

what does this mean?
will the richlist be back up again so we can see if our coins have moved from cryptsy?
how can i help donate to the .08 btc?

Crowdfund CryptoID Node? I can contribute to get Pennies CENT back moving again? 0.08 BTC required for node for 6 months.

Notes regarding Cryptsy coins (from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=389403.10120)

And important information regarding Cryptsy:
the report, which summarizes the receivership through August 2, 2016 has just been published and is available at http://cryptsyreceivership.com/news/.

BTC Pennies CENT is a great coin with a fixed rate its a great little thing.

Let's get started on the revival.

Cent was not recovered. Only a few coins were saved. Check it out for yourself. http://cryptsyreceivership.com/news/

Would that indicate the wallet was destroyed on the Cryptsy server - as they have destroyed dozens of coins according to the receivership documents? Or is that balance still around?
Some people indicated they had CENT with cryptsy from screenshots.

1   P9TbKBQX...  8,237,397,451,455.0 CENT   16.65 %   561 days 9 hours
2   PAgY2rEW...  5,749,766,461,497.0 CENT   11.62 %   514 days 22 hours
3   PHbNePqY...  3,094,501,989,281.0 CENT   6.26 %   510 days 4 hours

I would assume the top address to have been cryptsy 500 days ago?

Still waiting on people joining the CENT network to get synched up to the last blocks.
If we can get as close to the current date as possible we will do a fork to roll back as few blocks as possible and continue on a new fork.
Any exchanges should monitor/block the highest addresses on the rich list (until we know the whereabouts and balance of cryptsy's old coins).

Because pennies is not a divisible denomination, e.g, one coin is one coin, it could be easily given a fixed global value that is not subject to devaluation despite POS, which means it could create new wealth if an agreement can be reached with financial services authorities. Responsibility of wealth control via the power of debt issuance must be taken away from those institutions and bankers and the continuation of the debt based model, we no longer require that in society.

Let's keep this thing going for a few months and see where we get to but Pennies / Cent / Credits or whatever ID the coin is given I feel it is perfect for one potential new wealth creation as part of the decentralised cryptocurrency platforms and exchanges.

How many POW blocks? 200 000?

Yes should be 200,000 POW blocks to 12 million POW coins.
There is no block halving.
Then 100% POS at 720% per annum.
951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CENT] Pennies relaunched on: October 01, 2016, 08:27:19 PM
Because my wallet still says catching up even though I unlocked it for staking, I believe I'm not the top of the chain. Without the top wallet, I'm not sure how we can overcome this.

I am just wondering whether to do a hard fork, we could maybe do it from a particular block to set it to a new chain invalidating blocks after a certain block?
Unsure as that process would be new to me.

Yea! great my wallet is up and running! wooohooo! Grin

Node is up - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cent/

One network node, block height 903665 between synching nodes.

Does anyone else have a CENT wallet they can attached to the network either as client or server for synching the network thanks!

Great work. As soon as I get home, I'll fire mine up.

I guess we'll have to wait for the network to get sync'd up. My last block was 1343977
Last block time Mon Mar 21 06:37:22 2016
I was on the same chain as Cryptsy
Not sure if I should try to stake until the chain is confirmed.

Yes needs to be staked to move blocks along? Was pennies still POW with zero reward? If so would be beneficial mining to move blocks along when fully synched.
Nice one guys, my wallet is not synching at all (from scratch) decided to archive the chain and start from zero.
BrotherJ can you do a bootstrap of the block index for us to update our clients with, I can also get that over to Chainz who will be able to synch fully up with yours? PM with link to bootstrap when done (best zipped up).
Any suggestions, how is everyone else getting on, I presume we just need to wait for the network to synch and verify itself? Might take quite a few days?
CryptoID is on block 918276.

PM sent.

I have had my wallet open for a few days but mine is not showing fully sync. Maybe the last block is beyond mine @ 1343977. I just unlocked it for staking to see what happens.

PM sent instructions for bootstrap.

Looks like the wallet is just getting header information through the blocks before it synchs up (ancient wallet).

my wallet is on and has 99,827 blocks remaining

Are you synched and staking.

I am running 10.3.5 , it says it is synching however is not updating blocks in the wallet.

Do you have a copy of your conf file.

I have the new nodelist as follows from cryptoID

addnode=124.188.131.21
addnode=172.56.26.62
addnode=47.34.155.56
addnode=73.0.216.67
addnode=95.145.103.45

Hi, thanks for that.
Source and wallets were uploaded for download availability via web interface just for quickness.
The normal source Git(s) will be added in due course.
Smiley

There are obvious things that need to be addressed with this coin's source code, but given the distribution method (ie, no real git repository to track changes), I am disinclined to continue monitoring the situation.

If you'd like to receive further analysis and/or blockchain services (such as dedicated nodes or block explorer) do let me know.

If you could provide some suggestions now the source is readily unpacked and available that would be most welcome, PM perhaps would be best?
958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LAUNCH] [ENGLISH] Moneta (XJM) - Juno Moneta - Ancient Currency Digitised on: September 30, 2016, 11:29:09 AM
Moneta (XJM) is a peer to peer decentalised digital currency in honour of The Queen Of Heaven, Queen Of The Gods and the Creator Of The Earth - Juno, also known as Asherah, Hera and Isis. Juno is the mother of Mars, a virgin birth, and the only son of God herself (mythological Roman history). Juno is not associated with Minerva, Ishtar or the Biblical Jesus Christ in any way (for reasons which will become apparant over the forthcoming years). Moneta comes from the historic currency first issued in ancient Rome after the Queen of Heaven, Juno Moneta, and today has been transformed into a digital currency.

More importantly for me it was the name of my wonderful dog, who sadly passed away from Cancer this month, who I miss dearly (she was named by people on Facebook, I didn't even name her, I only found out about the mythological Juno while she was ill, actually after playing Assassins Creed  Shocked ) Now I can't stop playing the game. Sad times!

I would encourage everyone to download and keep a copy of the source somewhere safe for the future, there is a particular reason for that, which will be revealed at some point in the future, ideally everyone should have a copy and everyone should be using Moneta.

Source

The Moneta source will be uploaded properly to git today so it can be managed and reviewed properly and monitored.

12:46PM - https://github.com/MonetaXJM/Juno - source now unpacked in repository.

Little matter that has nothing to do.
My antminer s7 to its Hashrate of 5.10th but cryptomine.online indicates to me that 2.25th.
Why?

Do you have 1 worker on the Moneta pool and one worker on another pool?
