941  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 05, 2014, 08:57:18 PM
I think people are giving AMT a break because they have been a little more forthcoming as of late. That or they feel that everything there is to say has been gone over so many times that now it just feels like were talking to CLennel's hand. Wink

AMT
just because people are being nicer is no reason to go silent on us again. How about an update.

What is the status on the 6 board back plane?
What is the ETA on power supplies?
Do you have a plan on how you are going to deal with the MPP due to the further delays?

No pressure no news Grin
Just a couple of months right before miner would not be able to pay for electricity they will ship Grin
942  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 3rd Gen? on: April 05, 2014, 03:38:35 PM
I remember seeing a thread started by dogie... It had a timer and then it went to sh*t. Any updates on 3rd gen?

avalon 3rd gen update news:

shipping time: 14th April
Speed: 800G hash
Power comsuption: 1000W
3 modules. each modules 35pcs avalon3 chip

so better to buy s2 basically xD or is forma factor smaller, or is it cheaper?
I think s1 and s2 are based on avalon chips. What matters is price for ready to mine product
However that is what I think and bit, main will never admit it. The power draw will be equal it is just a guess Wink
943  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT's HEX16A in hand - first impressions / mining software on: April 05, 2014, 03:32:52 PM
My Hex16a1's are not realy happy with the latest firmware 0_3_0 for TpLink mr3020, I have 4 on 1 router and within 30 min 3 of them drop out every time.
Should I downgrade back to previous version, or is there another way to get them stable on the current version?
There is other issue USB hub or power
The latest fw is 3_1 btv

I upgraded to 3.1, Same problem. I'm using the same PSU (Corsair 1000W) and powered usb-hub (Belkin 4 port) as I did before and I never had this problem...
oh... I was thinking you are talking  abut coincraft my bad dude Wink
Yes this happens with latest fw they come to zombies and recovering fast
It should not affect your hash rate for sure. If you are not happy to have them come and go just downgrade

The 1.2T miners that AMT sells come with 1500W power supplies. It's pretty much common sense. Like I said, a 20amp dedicated circuit will do fine.

Now, if you plug and air conditioner, a hair dryer and plasma TV and sump pumps on that same 20amp circuit, you will overload it since a 20a would take up to 2000W for sure. I Thought that was obvious, but I will state it here so you know.
Yeah thanks for clarifying Grin
AMT
Where are my 10 btc? Grin
Where are the precious miners?
Are you hashing with them?
Why you are still not delivering?

I recieved my 130 board today  Cheesy

Plugged it into my mr3020 and it started hashing immediately. Nothing beats a mr3020 when it comes to ease of use of technobit devices.

One question thoug, I set the chipcount to 4 and am running it on 260/1000, I'm getting about 102Gh/s average. Are the default settings for the 130 boerderij the Same as for the 260?
And what are save values to overclock?
Don't want to burn it like one of my Hex16a1's the day before yesterday...
In general:

4 chips * 260 Clock * 4 * 32 cores = 133GH

I would say that you are using old version of cgminer wher 4 chip board was not performing

get latest 3_1 Wink

Con,

I am looking at stale_work() code. I am wandering if work gets stale in solo and gbt also?

if (pool->gbt_workid)
      work->job_id = strdup(pool->gbt_workid);
Shall job_id be checked inside stale_work code. For stratum it is considered as stale if there is no share but for gbt and solo?
Thanks
There are enough checks to determine if work is stale with gbt solo/pool already.
Thanks,
Can you give me some hints what to look for in the code i am carious

Thanks
work_block is enough to pick up if we're working on the same block. work_id is used only for pooled gbt mining (not solo) to tell the pool which gbt update it came from (and is optional at the pool end).
Thank You Cheesy

Con,
I found two cosmetic bugs in cgminer-api

static void disablepool(struct io_data *io_data, __maybe_unused SOCKE
.........
   pool->enabled = POOL_DISABLED;
   enabled_pools--;

And same in enablepool

b]enabled_pools++;[/b]

Thanks

PS:What about my previous question about stale_work
      work->job_id = strdup(pool->gbt_workid);

and checking it's job_id

In general there is no code when gbt work becomes stale.

Thanks

Incredible! Whatever you did with drivers works like a charm... I see 2 to 3 GH more per board...

Wow, this is nearly 25 cent per month per board!
It does not matter how much is it Wink
What matters is that it will work like a charm Cheesy
951  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 03, 2014, 06:07:18 PM
Accepting a payment of 1k wouldn't be fair to others, its not about the money its about following some sort of order when shipping these things out.

Hey AMT_ Where's our refund?
There's no "position" for you to be in regarding refunds. If you run a business and the customer is sick of waiting (because there's no delivery at all) then he cancels the order. And you refund. You can't agree or disagree. Just not.
So, again, Hey AMT_ Where's our refund?
"where's the money Lebowski...."
When shipping  this thing out Grin
This things are crap as all know it already
This things can not make roi at all and they are still not shipped
So AMT GIVE the refund to all folks who want it IMMEDIATELY
No ifs ors and excuses
That is the way the US company shall handle the situation
Unless Zipkin has not become Bulgarian already  Grin

952  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 03, 2014, 06:24:14 AM
Change it to TURBO mode in CGMiner.

I got 5 modules running now at 300+ GH/S, I need a dedicated line ran to power these to their fullest, so I don't have to have 4 power supplies for 3.0 TH/S.

~Casey
Are you sure?
How many coincraft chips does each module have?

If there are 8 chips only this is big Nonce Grin

Sadly today my Hex8 260 mhash stopped hashing. The bottom fan has stopped working, and i believe the chips are burned out. On the board is nothing bad to see, all is well.
The PSU give 12+ volt up, the board LED's (orange and green) lights all time. I have tryed other USB port, but no ones help. The RED lead dont glow up at all.
The devide should have to mine 1.5 more BTC.. but now its full loss! I payed for that 1545EUR. i would like a fully support for that.

Is this update "mandatory"?
I mean my hex8 is working perfectly (more than 1 month now, no reboot at all, with default settings 260@1000 and almost no HW error), what will i gain with this update?

No tplink speed degradation over time

But the golden rule always is if it works do not touch it Wink
955  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 31, 2014, 08:36:44 AM
Good god reading this thread is like wading through a pile of bullshit neck deep. But I'm short so it probably hits the rest of you at the waist.

I'm tired of the same thing quoted over and over. I'm sick of that picture of phin. Mostly because it makes the thread way longer and my scroll wheel is broke. I do have to admit I did laugh at the hobo santa comment though. But only the first of the 15 times it was posted.

I want updates, I want my legally entitled refund, or I want my miner. I would like it shipped today as this was the last day it was advertised when I ordered it. If it shows up to my house in three days from now I'll be happy to withdraw any and all complaints I've made with various agencies. But as I was told on march 12th by Jim my miner would be shipping the week of the 24th. This was this past week and I've not received any sort of tracking number. I've even volunteered to have that tracking number posted here so everyone can see it was shipped. AMT has my permission to share that information here in the forum or I will as soon as I receive a tracking number.

I do like the look of the new cage with the fans placed on there. Hopefully there will be more updates in the next few days. I've tried to be patient, but like others it's wearing very thin at this point.

I also hate to see that there have been other servicemembers and veterans, besides myself, who have been hurt in this whole situation.

Part of my reason for mining was obviously to help bring in some additional income as I'm a disabled vet. Luckily I have a good employer who pays 60% of my wages as I'm now on short term disability, through work. And I'm waiting on some stuff from the va to have a couple more of my issues service connected as they only put me at 10% for my knee (if you really want to see crooks go to your local VA clinic).

That money I spent on the miner wasn't anything that is going to put me in harms way of not paying rent or bills or the like, but I'd really at least like to make my money back so I can reinvest it into more hardware.
It's kind of a larger proof of concept so I can show the more skeptical of my friends how it works. They've expressed interest if my money can be made back plus a profit, but those chances are quickly crumbling. Well obviously profit is going to depend on BTC price so I'm hoping that will get back up to the 850 or so level here soon. We'll see now that some regulation has been put in place if the bigger investor will bite and drive up the cost. I just want to have some BTC when that time comes.

majelllen33 if you are not some sort of sock puppet (33 in your name or not) then I wish you the best on your deployment, be sure to keep safe and remember complacency kills.

Anyway I've rambled enough this post. I just want to see what I paid for showing up on my doorstep ASAP.

Hey,
You have missed MOST IMPORTANT PHIN update
AMT is making 25 BTC per day with your miners and still continuing with their lies!!!

PSU POWER ISSUES LOAD OF HOME WIRES....

Well, 10x boards would be about 1800w-2200w at the wall, which is why KNC's miners will not run on home-wires only rated for 1400w constant-load at 120v.

If I only had one miner, with 6x boards, that would put it at 1000w-1200w range.
No way 1500 range at least. And you do realize why 6 boards on a single psu is total bulshit despite all of amt promises
And a lot of other things also.
My personal feeling about the situation that amt will do whatever it takes to postpone the crap delivery. When they know that it can not pay off for the electricity they will deliver something at the end.And be prepared to have a total hanging crap if this gets delivered at all.
Do you have a single reasonable explanation why they keep the top secret if this crap is working at all or what is the actual power consumption or and so on and on Grin
957  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 30, 2014, 12:51:16 PM
Just so you know the people you are hurting. My wife cannot work or drive, also we have a young son in kindergarden. I am the one who is responsible to pay for everything here for my family in this economy, car payment, mortgage, doctor bills. When it comes to that $6000 it means a lot to us, so sitting here helpless posting on this forum was the only thing I seemed to be able to do. My emails and phone calls were not answered. When you find yourself as the only one bringing in an income, you feel pressure to take action any way possible. You may say me buying a miner was not a responsible thing to do in my situation. I miscalculated that I would have a miner in Feb and our family would have some additional income. I just wanted to put a face to who you are hurting, we are real people with kids and families.

Yes, it indeed is sad that AMT is hurting real people.  Was there this other guy who bought like 3 miners and now has to go back in duty with the military?  He hasn't got his delivery yet and is trying to desperately sell his units to someone.  AMT is screwing over people who serve in the military who protect our way of life.  That is just absolutely pathetic.

+1
The most pathetic is that Zipkin does not give a shit about it. I wish somone from their customers just do it in bulgarian way Zipkin knows what i mean Grin As long as there is not a leagal way which can work out even in US what elese have left to bring justice?
I am wandaring what a face to face meeting with happy AMT customer will bring to Zipkin Grin A nice bloody youtube video i guess Grin
958  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 30, 2014, 12:43:55 PM
AMT, please tell me which address to contact, (and what to put as the subject), to discuss the DIY-kit option.

I do want that, but you didn't reply here, you didn't reply to my PM in the forum, and I am not sure which email to reply to.

If you can, please at-least state which components are holding you back.

I don't need the case, the cages, or even the 6-board backplane. (As I would rather have the two-miner core setup, with the compensation for missing parts, as more boards. Thus, 8x mining boards setup as 4x and 4x with 2 backplanes, 2 raspberrypi's, 2 lcd, and the connected wires.)

They said PSU's were an issue, but I did not hear you say that. I am sure the PSU's you have on hand, could easily run the 4x boards fine, which is why I requested that setup, as 2 of the 4x boards. That also allows me to split the load better on my home wiring.

Thank-you, JD

P.S. That is the 6x boards you offered us for the late orders, almost a month ago, + 1 for the still late delivery, +1 for the "removed components". This would be +2 more additional boards for compensation, to make it 10x boards, if the PSU's were not available to be delivered. (This would still fit in the two 5x backplane setup, as this would bring the total boards to 10x and no PSU's, which I would have to additionally buy now.)

P.P.S. You don't even have to attach the heat-sinks, which should make it easy to ship. However, I will need the screws to mount the heat-sinks, and the heat-sinks should at-least be drilled, but they don't have to be. I have my own thermal-paste. Plus, I plan to modify them anyways. I can figure-out how to get it all wired-up without instructions. (Bonus if you can get all 8x-10x boards to run on just 1 raspberrypi with only 1 lcd. That will save you even more loss.)

P.P.P.S. I would have worked for minimum wage, at the least, living at the assembly-plant, working like a China-kid 24/7 if needed, to help. Still not sure why you never responded to my overly generous offer there. All I needed was a cot to rest on. (I don't sleep much. I sleep when my body stops responding to my brain. I am an insomniac with ADD, and an engineering electrician programming artist. A walking think-tank. lol.)
I just can not belive what i am reading:)
PSU POWER ISSUES LOAD OF HOME WIRES....

959  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 29, 2014, 07:24:30 PM
A little advice for anyone considering a business like this. The preorder model has been demonstrated over and over again to be faulty, if not outright scammy. A company may not have the intention of taking money from people, causing financial harm to them, and indefinitely delaying the orders, but in the end they all seem to end up that way.

A proper business model, and I've said it over and over again, would be to secure financing, build a good product, start producing them then sell from inventory as you build them.

You can't make promises to people based on quotes from suppliers, because you will end up turning those promises to lies. People won't be mad at your suppliers or contractors, just you. Getting angry at customers who are tired of excuse after excuse is a horrible way to do business. At some point, the hole you dug yourself is just too deep, you blew through the funds needed to continue building products, and you just close up shop and screw everyone over. This has happened many times, not just in bitcoin hardware.

AMT could pull out of this, even though in my opinion they will never be able to fill all the outstanding orders. To do it, they need to be upfront and honest with shipping times, stop making up dates that they can't keep, and stop acting like a victim and threatening people. Act humble, do your job, work as hard as you can and be honest with your customers. You'll be surprised how people turn from detractors to proponents.
+10000
But that behavior is expected from honest people. Which josh is not
960  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 29, 2014, 05:26:39 PM
They gave you one of our the paying customers miners because AMT hoped you would say nice stuff. AMTs voice is on the camera, still we know it's them.

Not "them" but "him". Joshua Zipkin.

Good to know Jim Brown is Joshua Zipkin's brother in real life (unless he meant masonic brother). Either way, I wouldn't let these dolts have more time. They are obviously incompetent, god only knows how the miner will perform IF it's ever delivered. Read back about Stan-O's and Biomech's bitfury based miner if you want a preview of things to come...

Better to let the lawyers tear into them and recoup our funds, THAN wait it out for these sloppily assembled, under performing, soon to be - paperweights!

The video (and Bruno's statements) prove that Joshua Zipkin gave away a free miner to silence a critic. This is so fucked up and wrong on so many levels. Hopefully Bruno will help use that miner to do a little PI work and see what's inside, how it performs, so on and so forth.

Josh posted about all of these delays revolving around the cage. Well, it's good to know that all this time wasted and R&D were simply for some stupid cages and the case setup for the boards. These boards could of theoretically been running in clients' hands weeks ago, if AMT knew what they were doing in terms of a case design (or simply OMITTED the case idea). They really wanted to stuff this whole setup into a non-expandable desktop tower, and now everyone is paying the price for THAT stupid decision.

This is the problem folks, like Phin said: "Josh is not an engineer, he just orchestrates the whole thing". For AMT to ever have been successful, they needed technical people making decisions from the top down. Instead we got some buffoon with a fake Marketing degree from Penn State. Now what? We hear they are hemorrhaging money and have taken out loans on their houses because this whole clusterfuck of an operation is unprofitable. What did you expect? This is why we needed to dig into Joshua Zipkin's past earlier in the thread, to know whether this guy has the skills required to take on some of these tasks. Sad to say we learned he is not only technically incompetent, but isn't very honest either.

Joshua, you need to do the right thing and honor refunds as they come in. If AMT is insolvent, then you need to let people know. Your silence is just exacerbating the problem, as more people line up to get lawyers.

Just get your lawyers immediately dude. Giveing him more time is increasing the chance you to be fucked up. Let him feel the heat arround the corner and think how he can leave in cage Grin The cage is top engeniering one of course Grin
