941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 10, 2023, 02:04:54 PM
Most of these casino just do all these because of the government rules that are tied to them operating their business. These casino are now implementing all these to avoid be sanctioned of money laundering law because most of the users deem their site to be a perfect spot for huge deposit and withdrawal which can cause lots of attention so that's why KYC is been called upon

In the past, the casinos were blamed by the government for harboring money laundering. A lot of them were either closed by the government or went offline, which caused issues for the users who had their deposits in these casinos. That is the reason why KYC is now being made mandatory in almost all online casinos. A few exceptions are there but sooner or later they will also implement KYC. With KYC you no longer are anonymous but as a user, you still have the anonymity factor with other users.
Until now, Money launderer still using online casino to launder their dirty money. This criminal is very pesky because they mix their money like a normal gambler which menas there will be no reason for casino to suspect them as launderers that will make this KYC purpose useless since it cannot catch launderers but only it will just use to delay or freeze someone money when they win huge prize in the casino.

I totally disagree on the use of KYC to counter money launderer since it’s useless in crypto because everything is decentralized and it’s very hard to spot user that laundering money and differentiates it to the normal player.
942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sudden Wealth Syndrome (SWS) In Gambling on: August 10, 2023, 10:31:25 AM
Do you think people who have a chance to make a lot of money should be aware of this and do you know what you're going to do if you won a big amount of money?

I don’t experience this personally but one of my friend suddenly have this kind of same syndrome when he was promoted at work. He wants to become separated with us because he thinks that he is already on different level. It's funny how people can easily change with sudden changes on wealth or position.

I believe people experiencing this kind of syndrome knew exactly what's happening and they choose to do that because they want to show their advantage over other people. If I will have a chance to have a huge money then I will put it on investment so that it will not be spend without any return profit.
943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Earn an apartment in a bear market on: August 10, 2023, 10:16:48 AM
Ready to invest $500 per month.
Advise on the best way to fix profits and what kind of cryptocurrency to buy. Now the markets have fallen - it's time to buy.

100% your capital to Bitcoin and forget about shitcoin if you want to hit your target profit safely. Bitcoin outperforms all altcoin in the market in overall price growth while the Bitcoin halving is already next year which potentially will give a price boost to the price of your investment.

Investing on shitcoin might hurt your investment incase some of them face a major serback due to failed development and lawsuit from SEC. Bitcoin is proven a safe investment on crypto space. Forget about volatile assets like Shitcoin and focus to a solid long term investment for your dream apartment.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 09, 2023, 04:12:01 PM
I watched some of the fight and then watched the highlights of the fights the next day.  I am once again annoyed that someone didn't know the f out of Jake Paul ( I would prefer him and his douche of a brother both get knocked out every fight they take), but of course he wasn't fighting a boxer per usual.

When are these dudes going to fight legitimate pro boxers their own age??

Jake Paul has already fought a good boxer, Tommy Fury, and in fact, that's where his only loss came from. Tommy Fury is 24 years old, while Jake Paul is 26. He probably realized that he can't beat a legitimate boxer, so he chose an old and retired UFC fighter. At the end of the day, all he cares is he can win and make a good amount of money at the same time. That's how smart he is.

Agreed, Jake Paul is an influencer/content creator that use boxing as his main content. It’s obvious that he will cherry pick opponents to make his career attractive to his viewers. He is not a professional boxer per se and it's actually impressive that someone like that is not a pro is fighting professional athletes on physical sports.

His fights is actually good for content and people not satisfied because most of his fight is not from pro boxer on prime is missing the fact that he is a content creator not a pro. Jake Paul doing a great job for his career.
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 09, 2023, 04:05:00 PM
Because of KYC verification which is now done by most crypto casino to know the people who gamble on their casino, I think anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency in crypto casino.

Am i wrong to think that this information on the internet needs to be updated.

You are not wrong but still there is some level of anonymity remain since only the casino holds your identity while they don’t all your information to the government unless it was ask to them. In a sense, You are still anonymous in the eyes of everyone including the government as long as the casino you are playing is truly protecting your KYC credentials. If we compared IRL to crypto casino, Crypto is still considerable as anonymous because no one knew that you are gambling because our accounts doesn’t have our personal information to the public compared when playing physically or other fiat casino that usually ask our bank account for deposit purposes.
946  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet verification stuck for more than 1 week on: August 09, 2023, 12:07:13 PM
The best that you can do as a gambler is to get your account verified before you deposit anything at all. Many people have this issue of verification after they deposit money.

I agree on this especially if you have high amount of balance to be deposit because casino frequently ask for KYC on high volume accounts. I remember that Cloudbet has a very bad reputation on verifying user account because there’s a case here before that Cloudbet ask a very peculiar way to verify account to the point that is very hard to follow like taking picture outside holding newspaper or something.

Doing KYC before will save time and hassle when withdrawing the balance since casino usually don’t have any reason to withhold the account unless it has some violation.
947  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hacker attacks again on: August 09, 2023, 12:02:48 PM
They really should of offered these 10% bounty’s back in the MtGox and Bitfinex days. I am pretty sure most of the hackers would of just took it. I think most of the bitfinex funds were never moved and years later they got caught anyways. No idea if the mtgox funds were ever spent. I know that one is in a top5 BTC holder address and hasn’t moved.

Most of the transactions happened when MtGox hacked was P2P in able to convert Bitcointo fiat and there’s no or only few entities that specialize tracking for crimes since Bitcoin that time is not huge compared today. The money that being scammed that time is not that huge compared that even a simple DeFi dapps holds huge amount of money.

Hackers back then is very free to do whatever they want without a serious threat of being detected because there’s still not enough technology to track them compared to our current date which chainalysis is very common service.
948  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Mixin Safe - Decentralized Bitcoin Custody Solutions | Review Campaign on: August 09, 2023, 11:46:23 AM
Bitcointalk Username: Wapfika
Subject: Mixin Safe Review

I use Android Phone and Laptop on the process of downloading all necessary apps required to create the safe. I use the scan method to sign in or approve all the transaction that makes the whole process very smooth.

Mixin Messenger

I start my review by downloading the Mixin Messenger on the Playstore since that's the number one requirements to sign in the Mixin Safe website to create safe. The application is very quick to download and install. It only took less than 1 minute just to finish the installation.

I register using my personal number and I manage to create an account quickly because the verification code was received instantly which is impressive because some service like this usually have delay on providing sms code to my country.

The messenger interface is very simple and looks like a telegram app. It's very responsive and the best part is it provides a notification through the mixin system bot on anything that happened to all the website you connected the wallet apps. It even gives me an update on the process when I'm creating the mixin safe and transactions including deposit and transfers as shown on the image below.

What I really like on the Mixin messenger is the crypto wallet because it supports many currency and different blockchain. It has a feature too to know easily what's the top loser and gainer crypto currency that is very helpful on deciding what to buy or sell. Lastly, The ability to customize themes for the background is the highlight to my experience on this wallet because Mixin messenger gives you freedom on socializing, keep safe crypto assets and modify your UI through themes.

Mornin Key

Same with Mixin Messenger, I download this application on the playstore but it requires me to pay ~1$ before I can install the app, The app is very simple to use because it just a typical wallet that use to generate keys. I don't explore much this account because I only use this to create safe and use as owner of the safe/Approving transaction on safe. The application scan is responsive which makes the process very smooth when I'm using it.

Mixin Safe

After I setup both Mixin Messenger and Mornin Key account. I go to https://safe.mixin.zone/ and head over to the safe. The first thing I saw is the dashboard, It was plain and simple yet it display all the info needed for the safe. It includes a graph showing the amount and when it was deposited to the safe to easily track all the transactions happening on the safe.

I create the safe using the instruction on the right side. Every step is very is to understand because all the info including the estimated waiting time is included per steps that helps relax on each process when the screen is loading because I knew that it's normal to wait unlike if that info is not available that might push user to panic.

I use Mornin Key to scan the code to become owner of the safe and Mixin messenger app as member. I use only a 1 threshold setup because I don't know anyone that I can trust using same apps. After I finish all the setup, I pay the fees for subscribing the basic plan because that's the only way you can have 1 safe. I pay using Bitcoin and the safe was active the moment my Bitcoin payment received 1 confirmation.

Right After my safe was created and active. I immediately deposit bitcoin to my safe. Mempool is very busy that time so it took my deposit more than 12hrs to receive but that is due to Bitcoin blockchain network.

I withdraw my funds after waiting for my deposit arrives and it surprises me that withdrawal has no transaction fee. I check the TXID of my withdrawal on blockchain, Mixin safe is using high priority transaction fee for withdrawal which is really amazing since there's no fee charge to my withdrawal. I receive the exact amount of my balance to my receiving address. Everything is very smooth from account creation to withdrawal balance from safe.

Suggestion:

-Add a plan to add 1 safe because the premium plan is the 2 safe. The old safe is already useless once all the party involved is already part ways. It's either make the safe reusable for different member involved or add a feature to purchase 1 more safe.

-Ability to delete old safe because it can mistaken to be use for depositing even though all the members involved is already not available that will result to funds loss.

-Add Save Wallet Address feature, This wallet will have pre-approval to all members so that It  will not requires approval of all the party to send balance on address that everyone trusted. This is useful to those people who keep sending balance on same address with different time frame
949  Economy / Economics / Re: No choice but to use the unavoidable middle man, the exchange companies. on: August 09, 2023, 01:25:10 AM
You can not eliminate the middle man in businesses, especially in this digital age, be it fiat or cryptocurrencies, because they have come to stay. Big exchanges like Binance, are cashing in on being the middle man in businesses, an unavoidable indirect business associates, in your face, waiting for you to go through them.

You can use smart contract escrow as middle man so that you will not rely on a centralized service to intermediate on your transactions. As you mention, trust is the issue why a real P2P will not gonna work especially on a person that you didn’t know. P2P is only possible if you will send Bitcoin to a person that you knew personally.

In terms of fee, Exchange is not bad at all. Assuming without the risk of them running away, I think their fee decent for a platform that let you transact with other user funds without the risk of being scam. Crypto exchange is much more better than the traditional broker that has a cut-off time and huge fees.
950  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal becomes first major fintech to launch dollar-backed stablecoin on: August 08, 2023, 05:19:04 PM
It's PayPal, almost everyone is using this service and they also entrust their dollar to Paypal, what difference doesn't it make if they block someone's address? They are known to be very strict right from day one, any human complaining about this now is stupid, this is a stablecoin anyway, not a new type of Bitcoin.

I believe the current smart contract is much harsh because it will burn the frozen asset which means it’s not recoverable while frozen paypal account can be recover by followinf the help center resolution. Owning the pyUSD especially those whale will need to think twice because Paypal can freeze their assets and burns it.

I'm not sure how will Paypal deal with recovery on burn tokens but it's worst if the owner doesn't recover it.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: August 08, 2023, 04:21:10 PM
So that spirit of never giving is not something that is peculiar to lottery players alone, it is very common in the amongst gamblers, and I personally do not see any crime in that as long as the gambler or player have other dependable sources of income that helps support their gambling or lottery playing activities, as well helps keep the player and his or her family well and away from financial crises.

In addition to your input, It’s very hard to become addicted on lottery because there’s only few games available per day and placing bets on regular basis is very time consuming since you will need to go personally on a lottery outlet just to bet. Typically, lotter players only place bet during specific day per week except for those who reside near a lottery outlet.

Nevertheless, Lottery addiction is much more mild than the typical casino addiction because of the slow phase of the game. Buying bulk tickets is just more on a hobby instead of addiction because he can only place limited bets on every draw due to time constraints of the game.

953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Please put your gambling threads in the correct section!!!! on: August 08, 2023, 02:57:35 PM
I think this should be updated because I haven't seen HYIPs, pyramid schemes, etc., in this section. The main reason is that they are mostly tagged as scams. In short, they are not encouraged, and I'm not sure if they are allowed.

Scam is not moderated that even selling of Bitcointalk account is still allowed in the marketplace. Hyip, pyramid scheme and other bullshit ideas is still allowed to post here without any penalty from the mods. Only the DT strictly discouraged therefore they are tag with negative trust.

It’s not that they are tag that’s why hyip already stop coming here but rather no one is already interested on this obvious scam scheme. I think most of this scammer already change field like IDO, scam meme coin and DeFi.  Cheesy

I always use the report to moderator button on this case.
954  Economy / Gambling / Re: NanoGames.io on: August 08, 2023, 02:51:56 PM
Whoa, I'm seeing BC Games vibes from those images.

Still, welcome!

I see Betfury alike site, especially after the roulette popup free spin. They must be using the same game provider.  They are however made for Nano tokens to be their first choice for gaming.

Without any other marketing promotion for this casino, it may just be buried along the ANN threads in this forum without getting sunshine. That's why they created a new ANN thread like this. Anyway, Welcome back to bitcointalk

How come it happens to be a welcome back? Is it something like an existing casino back then that gone before at bitointalk and now they are advertising here again? Please someone enlighten me. I opened and accessed the website and it's almost already developed for more than years now. There's little to no lag and buggs.

They have an old official thread here in the forum(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5105754.0) while this thread is just a unofficial thread made by the OP. Everything is explained if you read the OP especially the narration part which I post below.

Hello, Bitcointalk!

I found an old topic here about NanoGames. It's been few years and the site has gone through some changes, so it's time to make a new one!

Welcome to NanoGames!

Deposits and withdraws are instant.

Over 1200 games to choose from, including live casino.
Crypto swap is available in the cashier menu.
Players have also the ability to use a vault and 2FA for extra security.
Site has been in business for 5+ years and is in good name. At the beginning of 2022 they switched their site template to an older version of BC (BC2.0).

The OP is very knowledgeable about this casino. It's either he is an old player in there or  part of team disguising as a concerned player since they have an argument before they abandon the forum.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: August 07, 2023, 03:18:42 PM
People who have addictive tendencies will always have that "one more" mindset in them thinking that if they continue what they're doing, they're going to get a positive outcome if they dig deeper, or in this case play more. Be it a win or lose, gambling addicts will always see something out of reason to justify their actions. They'll even call it fate for the to win or destiny or whatever it is that you call it.

This “one more” mindset is only applicable when someone already a huge win or a decent profit but for someone like the example of OP that doesn’t win a dime on gambling will obviously not think this way because it’s very hard to become persistent on getting something without experiencing how great it is.

I rarely win, though it still got me 'hooked' before in gambling. It doesn't matter what outcome it is that you get in gambling - you will always get hooked to it if you are really inclined to gamble.

I think you alreay win at some point even rarely that’s why you are still coming back to play despite your bad experience.
956  Economy / Gambling / Re: NanoGames.io on: August 07, 2023, 02:04:02 PM
Nobody cares anymore, we found out that you wanted to get traffic from the forum in violation of the rules.
I wrote everything above to you, there is no point in discussing something further in this topic.

You are only being negative here. Maybe you mistakenly read his statement about BC which he mention that the casino use BC template and they are not claiming they are BC2.0 but rather they just purchase the template with that version of BC. There’s no referral link provided too so there’s nothing wrong on this thread.

It’s only odd that he is not the official representative which he should ask the casino itself to assign here or else he should include unofficial word on the title so that everyone here will notify that he is not a representative.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: August 04, 2023, 06:22:43 PM
I am of the opinion that since gambling sites are mostly online and some has adds that pops up as advert on visited site, one should be able to disable or change their browser settings  by blocking casino adds and as well disabling  gambling sites on their browser settings so as not to gain access to it anymore till the number of days they deem fit to their resolve. This was just a little tip I gave as a possible solution. I had to put it up here for further discussions so that the bigger community can see it as  well.

Blocking any website related to gambling ads might help addiction controlled but I dount this will work in long term since there’s many way to see any gambling related staff and also knowing that you block gambling website will just make you curious on it later on. Controlling your self in the presence of gambling exposure is the best way to fight addiction instead of running away since you can’t runaway on things that you have access easily.
958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top IDO maker project. on: August 04, 2023, 06:16:38 PM
I am sharing some high IDO maker project who process successful IDO of many good projects. Even All time high return ATH ROI. What do you think about them? Will they last in the future.
Just like NFT and other trending shit on crypto. IDO maker or launchpad is now being use even with scammer and there’s already a saturation on this type of project which makes launchpad is not profitable anymore since there’s so many share on the IDO while the number of investors is destroyed due to many failed IDO.

I’m following Bluezilla launchpads but even them is now underperforming despite they are the buggest project maker on crypto before since they have huge funding.
959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can you tell me the best indicator for long term investment? on: August 04, 2023, 04:07:02 PM
As the title says, I hope some of you can share your experience about the best indicators for your long term investment.
So far I've only invested on a cyclical basis, but I'd love to get your experience into consideration for my future investment plans.

Fausto Arta

Why do you need an indicator if you will invest long term. You don’t need any major buy signal to purchased tokens while you can use DCA method to safely enter since your goal will long term. You are decided to trust the project that’s why you will go long term or else you should just invest short term.

Simply browse the chart and use a ling time frame so that you can see what project is down a lot from all time high and stay at the bottom until now. Make sure to use fundamental analysis to backup your technical analysis to make sure that you are not buying a dead project.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claressa Shields Vs. Keith Thurman?! on: August 04, 2023, 03:05:25 PM
This is not going to happen I know Claressa is a good boxer but she doesn't know her boundaries there are no videos of her sparring with men so she doesn't know how hard men hit more than women

She only had 2 knocks out to her credit or 14.29%. while Thurman has 68.75% or 22 knocks out in his 30 wins shows she is going to beat Thurman, why not get a transgender first, this is not going to happen its unlikely, Claressa is making a big joke if he thinks he can beat Thurman.

Exactly, She is just trying to accomplish something unusual for woman fighter. This match is just an exhibition that gives her a lot of advantages. She might have a chance to outbox Thurman but I doubt Thurman will really guve a 100% of his strength by defeating a woman. Men and Woman genes has a lot of differences in regards of strengths.

I read this news yesterday and I thought this fight is impossible to happened because Thurman already show lack of interest.
