Tell you what, I'll offer 1 LISK for .01 BTC. let the offers come in!  Kiss

I will sell you 100 Smiley

You misunderstood, I am selling 1 Lisk for .01 BTC, who wants some?  Kiss

I'll take those off your hands for 2000 satoshis/lisk.  This is quite generous considering how nightmarishly awful the dump is going to be.

still at it?  Grin

Passphrases/keys:
<snip>
- Everyone who didn't generate a key will be contacted 1-2 weeks after launch. He can then get his LISK via email. This method is not the most secure option, therefore please generate your passphrases ASAP! Also there will be a deadline after which the non-collected LISK will go into the bounty fund.
Everything I've witnessed so far in the LISK ICO has been handled very professionally. Now, the ethical character that is baked into this ecosystem's earliest days will resonate for a long time, so please reflect on the 'Why?' of pushing non-collected LISK into a bounty fund.

I submit that you should not impose a deadline on the non-collected funds. Devs have a fiduciary responsibility not to re-appropriate unclaimed funds, which is somehow incomprehensibly becoming an accepted practice in ICOs (not mentioning any names but you know who you are). It is absolutely unethical to expropriate your earliest supporters' money, no matter what the situation. Yes, ostensibly they are donors, but effectively they are behaving like investors. If they can't or won't claim the LISK, please just leave the claim period open ended, and fulfill the incoming claims once a month. In this way, we will turn more and more people who are late on claims into supporters and proponents of the LISK platform, rather than feeding them sour grapes because their unclaimed LISK was expropriated. Fund seizure is equivalent to the fiat banking practices from which we are trying to escape.

(You could also destroy the unclaimed LISK and refund the BTC back to the return address, but ethically that's probably too much to ask).

Just think it through. People sometimes forget, or they find themselves in situations that make claims very delayed or seemingly impossible. That's just human nature. Blockchains don't forget, and that strength should be used as a benefit for everyone. Humans should not intervene and confiscate future wealth that is growing on the blockchain. Thanks for listening.

This is a very thoughtful post - something of a rarity on this thread.   Thanks for your input.

Lin may very well never return this Crypti, and BTER customers may be out of luck.  Other Crypti donors may hear about the Lisk ICO for the first time from upcoming publicity.  Maybe a possibility is to keep the 2.5M BTER Crypti open as a first-come-first-served exchange pool for tardy Crypti owners whether their excuse is BTER or ignorance of the Lisk ICO.  Service these people until the 2.5M is gone.

There's no good answer, and I suspect that the 1000 people who haven't generated their keys will turn out to be an even bigger headache.

The party's over, time to clean up the mess left behind....

what will happen if some have still failed to generate their keys in time?

Now that the ICO is over, can we focus on making Lisk a success?

Clearly the success of Lisk depends on the success of Lisk DAPP store.

Currently Ethereum dapp directory (http://dapps.ethercasts.com) has ONLY 34 LIVE Ethereum Dapps, so Lisk can certainly surpass that number of dapps within this summer, if we promote Lisk heavily to Javascript developers outside crypto world, through contests with serious monetary prizes.

I found most Ethereum dapps too specicific to crypto world so I prepared a list of sites using Javascript in real world applications, all for your inspiration:

I have been inspired by your post.  Some Googling has led me to a list of 10,000 (OK, really only 9,772) self described JavaScript geek programmers.  With their Twitter addresses.  Stand by for the spreadsheet, which may take a while.  It takes some time to organize a name list of 10,000 people.  Then stand by for a twitter blast in the days / weeks to come.

https://geekli.st/home

Funny, I couldn't find a similar list of 10,000 Etherium Solidity programmers.

I swear to God, I am going to have such fun when I start posting over on the Ethereum forums in April when I get back from my vacation next week.  Cheesy

personally i think anyone on the inside of the Lisk project should have their passport suspended until after the coin goes to market. LOL.

I can escrow

Lol, you've been bashing Lisk since before it was announced.  I wouldn't trust you as an escrow for this deal, or any alt coin deal.  I would recommend no one trusts you with anything related to Lisk.

Figured I'd throw it out there.  My FUD campaign was totally ineffective.  I watched my LISK buy dwindle from 125k to 25k.

you call that a campaign? it was as bad as it gets.

The only true rich guys right now r the dev&co., they r the ones making profit right now  Cheesy.

I agree.. Max & Oliver allready has their ferraris on assembly line in Italy, and will buy a penthouse in Berlin next week to plan their next ico! What about KRISK? or Dappty? The latter has some fomo feeling to it, could might as well raise 10 million dollars more with that.

I dont care, i always loved germany and their people, and i hope Max & Oliver enjoy their money as much as they can! I will be ready to tip some more to them whenever they get their next scheme up and running  Smiley They are both young and handsome and deserve a good life!  Grin

Is Oliver German?

What's the difference between Lisk Cash Tech Dev Fund ($M USD): 5.793 and Lisk Market Cap ($M USD): 7.516 ?
Why dev have 2 $M less?

The Technology Development Fund ($5.793M) is the raw cash value of the 14,079 donated BTC.  This money will fund further code development of Lisk.  In return for this donation of 14,079 BTC, the BTC donors will split among themselves around 77M Lisk.

The Market Cap includes:

the cash Tech Dev Fund
+ 15.00M Lisk (worth 2740 BTC)  held back by Lisk Foundation for founder rewards and future payments / bounties
+ 5.75M Lisk (worth 1049 BTC) distributed to former Cryptti XCR holders as "payment" for the Version 0.5.5 code base Lisk will use at launch
+ 2.17M Lisk (worth 397 BTC) that were handed out as early donation bonuses.

The difference between the cash Tech Dev Fund and Market Cap are effectively additional payments for Management Fee / Infrastructure / Advertising expenses as a 23% overhead rate.

"founder rewards" - plain English please.

Hey guys, concerning the passphrases we had to generate for the Lisk confirmation...

Could we use them as a sort of "cold wallet"?

For example, Can I store it and use the Lisk at the end of this year?

Cheers,

TRH

It's by definition not a cold wallet, because the passphrase was generated on a hot, internet-connected machine

Personally, I used a live-cd when I logged into lisk website to generate my passphrases.

I will be moving all my LISK to cold storage (keys generated on offline machine) after launch
.

Can someone add a crypto-currency definition of LISK to Urban Dictionary?

Then LISK community upvotes it 60 times in order to put it at the top

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Lisk

perhaps we need to hire a branding consultant.

I mentioned this one page back.

If someone submits a crypto-currency definition of LISK to urban dictionary, then all we need is 60 upvotes to take the top spot.

didn't see it. great minds think alike. i'd vote for it but i don't believe in democracy - 'in Lisk i trust'.

You people are crazy, these are just typical cryptocurrency fluctuations.   OP where is that gif from?  Was that a real crash or was it a movie?

The gif is real: Plane crash in Afghanistan, 2013 I think.

is this the crash where the cargo shifted and the weight redistribution unbalanced the plane?
i notice the wheels are down.
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 21, 2016, 10:49:49 AM

When Lisk is ready for trade

2 things Wil occur at the same exact time..

          Dumping. < = > Hoarding

From the looks of a very descent ico
Which side of the fence are you on?

P2p360

I reserved some BTC that I didn't put into the ICO to set a low buy order on one of the exchanges.
If price doesn't dump under ICO price, I won't buy more.

ditto

just how disruptive could Lisk be to the centralised mobile app ecosystem and the positions of Apple and Google?

Microsoft is nowhere in the mobile space. Does it see Lisk as an opportunity to change the rules of the mobile game?

so , what's the next big opportunity and when?

Slock?

https://slock.it/faq.md#a4

"How much will each DAO token cost?

1 ETH for 100 DAO tokens. This was chosen arbitrarily based on community feedback as the DAO smart contracts are flexible enough to accept any denomination. Token will be divisible just like ether.

How many DAO token will be created?

The total volume of DAO tokens purchased defines the total volume of DAO tokens in circulation. If 200,000,000 tokens are purchased during the sale, then there will be 200,000,000 tokens created, no more, no less."

I'm sorry for huge red letters, but.

Bter invested 2,500,000 XCR from their coldwallet.

https://cryptichain.lisk.io/address/983470101446368718C
I suggest Max and Oliver consider it as a thieft investment and freeze it. Because Bter stole this money from its users.

burn it.

and so it begins....
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 21, 2016, 12:45:25 AM
Congratulations, bagholders! By the time this will end, you will own tokens in a fork that's 20x more expensive (10M usd) than the former Crypti (500k). A fork of Crypti in which there was 0 development added on top. The commits are pretty laughable too, because you can see a few values that were changed and some bullshit in the front-end. And that's it.

Oh, and these amateur developers are now rich in BTC, soon in USD and on top of that, they will own a big percentage of the coins in circulation. There are so many idiots in here that i will probably start my own crypti fork and make a few millions too.

Hilarious!

why aren't you still hibernating under your accumulated pile of fud?
