941  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest winner during COVID? on: July 12, 2020, 03:27:21 PM

It is weird that the UK appear to be trying to sell 2 bullion doses of the vaccine already (at least they have contracts to produce that amount from part public and part private schemes)... I think Germany and other European countries studying the virus have similar schemes. I doubt anyone would want a vaccine from China, that'd be a last resort.
I believe the WHO are not playing a vital about the COVID 19 vaccine because are not passing good information about it to the masses.
With that been said, it been awhile since follow the update news about the vaccine and the last i check the UK vaccine is yet to be endorse by WHO while the China seems to be keeping information about their vaccine.

The UK are still in a testing phase so I'd see no reason for them to pass information about the 3 vaccines being produced until they have one that works effectively...

I don't know how the who works but would cdc europa not be better suited to advise and collaborate information on vaccines within the EU (and probably the USA based on the trump administration's recent rejection of the WHO - unless that was over dramatised)...
Yes, CDC is the better committee which every country that want to develop COVID 19 vaccine will collaborate with since their role is to control the spread of any infection diseases but CDC and WHO operated almost the same way cause they are like a partner in the health scheme and any vaccine introduced and endorse by WHO may not be license cause they played a global vital role of health and disease authority.
Let's hope a vaccine that 100% confirm is detected so everything will be back to normal cause plans of people for this year are already scattered.

942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Doubt] Pending Ethereum transaction on: July 12, 2020, 12:04:49 PM
same as what happened to me, but I have resolved, because I added GAS, and transactions can occur,
if your GAS is low, then pending will occur
I'm currently facing this type of problem with my ethereum wallet, I've sent out transaction for 7 days now and still pending, how will I add GAS to a transaction that's been already sent out? I will be happy if I can get help
Some Ethereum transactions is experiencing this issue and for you to stop or increase the transaction fee click on the coin you send if you're using metamask youll see stop, speed up icon. What you'll need to do is select the speedup icon in other for you to stop and increase the transaction fee cause the transaction wont stop if you select the stop icon due to long existence of it. After you increase the Gwei send the transaction again and with the situation of the ETH transaction network the best transaction option are the average/faster option.

But the transaction #15 doesn't show up on etherscan.
Try to find it in another eth explorer like ethplorer or etherchain.
Was not able to find it in other explorers too. Looks like the transaction #15 didn't go through. Btw, thanks for the guide you shared. But the thing I don't understand is that transaction #14 is already dropped as per etherscan and not found in other explorers but it is also shown as pending in Metamask  Lips sealed
Restart your computer and if it still shown as pending transaction then there's possibility that its still pending cause i sent a transaction last week which shows as dropped transaction on etherscan but confirmed on Metamask and when i check the wallet i sent it to i saw that it was indeed confirmed.
943  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest winner during COVID? on: July 11, 2020, 09:52:51 PM
We are aware that most of the countries economy has gone for a toss and many are at the brink of collapse but who has been the biggest winner of this pandemic? is it corporate medical industry who are charging abnormous fee for treatment or else a particular regime who is silently buying stakes of major groups at lower price during this situation? Do you think this was a man-made virus to destabilize the world's economy and buy huge shares so that a vaccinations can be rolled out once the enough damage is made ?
Things like the pandemic dont just happen out of nowhere definitely a man-made virus but it may not be an intentional created virus and if you remember a Doctor Wuhan that died of the same virus have make an announcement about this virus but no one believe him, definitely some people also aware of the virus but decide not to talk about it.

944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was the first-ever ICO you’ve invested? on: July 11, 2020, 07:55:30 PM
I think electroneum was the first ICO that I’ve invested, and i already have little knowledge about ICO, so when the price increase, i think i sold about 80% from my investment and i got so much profits. This is make me happy, but slowly ICO era is over. All coin i hold dump, also many become scam. That's why i stop to join in ICO
Thats a smart decision but out of curiosity, why would you think the project is the first ICO project you invested in?
With that been said, the first ever ICO I invested in was Komodo back in the year 2016 which was also among the successful ICO then and every investors make profit.
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: July 11, 2020, 06:33:03 PM
You know, this year has not been good for any kind of sports. I think i'm having the worst time in my life. Not only barcelona, all the club has given less entertainment in this year. but i'm not satisfied to barcelona's playing. I think they are able to performing more better. because they are much stable team than others.
Barcelona are not stable with rift between some members of the board, coach and players is making the team unbalanced, Barcelona are playing below what we have seen them play, except zidane real Madrid side slip up the league is out of Barcelona reach this season, I think they should work and start preparing for post Messi era, Barcelona has players above age 30 and for the future of a club this is poor, I am not happy with there selling of author and signing of pjanic-this guy is a short term player-,
Absolutely and this knd of thing is worse than pandemic for the one number reason for the loss of every teams or institutions is separation which eradicates the bond and the inner winning spirit of the team. If they didnt settle their difference the final is out of their reach but it all good cause the misfortune of someone is the betterment another person.
946  Economy / Reputation / Re: I have been contacted by 1xbit.com for promotion on: July 11, 2020, 05:14:09 PM
Personally I believe they have contacted with most of reputed managers here (if I am not wrong).
I guess you're right since their previous campaign was operated by Yahoo.

Nice to see that at least they are interested to enter again in this forum.
That's because they are aware of the benefit and the traffic this forum gave their company before they turn out to scam their users if not that they wont have contacted any manager about running a campaign for them.

If and only if. But if they were really scammers, I guess there would be no place for them here in the forum.
Mistakes may happen. I'm aware about scam of 1xbit. However, if they want to gain reputation by resolving issues, I think there's nothing wrong with that. If Yobit has a place in the forum, why not some other too if they agree to solve issue.

There is different between the Yobit and 1xbit.

There's no different mate scam is nothing but scam and Yobit exchange is one mastermind scam exchange which is every good at it.

Yobit did not promote their main site instead they promoted their forum but still faced a big criticism here.
Promoting 1xbit is like you are promoting direct scam company.
It seems you dont understand that Yobit promoting their ROI crypto that have no blockchain is just like promoting their site.
947  Economy / Economics / Re: Government+cryptocurrencies on: July 10, 2020, 09:49:17 PM
I am aware of the fact that most of the countries are trying to figure out a way to make digital dollar but labelling them as cryptocurrencies is so wrong !
The reason some government decide to create their own digital currency was because of the IMF boss previous statement about crypto to be liberty but they choose to create a fiat backed digital currency just to hype people with insufficient knowledge cause they only planned hype people.

To make our economy stronger we need Government to give full support to cryptocurrencies
Thats correct and i think the government understand this but they dont like the role of crypto being free from third party which the reason most government officials said negative things about bitcoin and later say positive things about it after the left the office.
948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Bitcoin hits $ 100,000 after halving, Litecoin may be worth $ 3,000 based on on: July 10, 2020, 08:27:48 PM
I do not expect bitcoin to be priced at $ 100,000, for me it's still a dream,
but for $ 10,000 is my main target because if I can break to $ 10,000 the price of bitcoin has the potential to be $ 19,000 again
The price of bitcoin will reach $100k, just that no one knows when its gonna be, likewise when it was at $10 no one believed that it will reach $20k, in next 5-10 years or perhaps before then bitcoin might reach $100k
@Leo, youre absolutely right and i believe @Untomabur misunderstand the OP statement and the entirety possible surge in price of bitcoin. Mind you, in the year 1984 gold was sold at $309 but it now sold around $1,799.35 - 1,807.33 per ounce which is something logical about every genuine asset, so if OP said bitcoin will be $100,000 hes not talking aboug this year or two.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it beneficial for the crypto casinos to add stable coins? on: July 10, 2020, 07:45:35 PM
Gambling site adding stablecoins have been discussed before but majority believe the idea is not and said its better for gambler to play using altcoin like Dogecoin and it good that Cloudbet see it as a brilliant idea.
Meanwhile, the current stance of the world economy and cryptocurrency market changing it momentum simultaneously it is beneficial for crypto related gambling site to implement stable coin but the Tether adding by Cloudbet is still not a good choice because of it protocol.
950  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Keeping it's limitaion Between 9--10K on: July 09, 2020, 07:49:39 PM
I read there are crypto related social media challenges are going on viral. So, it seems there are plenty of chances for new crypto adopters and investors even with least capital; by considering the userbase of social media, we can expect them to bring some changes in cryptocurrency market trends. (This must be one of the consequence of pandemic and isolation boredom, let's wait and watch where these hype leads to and ends.)

Bitcoin is exactly following its traditions like just after the halving it remains calm and then slowly will accelerate toward the ATH by Christmas/New Year times. It seems everything is going to be a copy-cat from 2016's halving times into current markets. From this I am expecting the biggest psychological barrier which holds for 2 months may get broken this time, as market may set a new high above $14k levels for the first time since July 2019.

So, probably no more range bound between $9k to $10.4k. Get ready to experience new high of 2020 regardless of pandemic chaos.
The crypto social media challenge gains a lot of awareness because a lot of people have lost their job with the include of boredom but i don't see it as the reason for the current uptrend market cause only the coin that host the contest would be influence by the hype and i don't see the market breaking the psychological barrier you said or reach $14K price this month/Q4 if we put into consideration the damage done already by the pandemic which is also one of the major things that will impact the market despite the market is full of possibilities.

With what I'm seeing here some people are already cashing out their profit.
951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency mixing services do more harm than good to blockchain technology on: July 09, 2020, 06:02:54 PM
Didnt see any harm cause by mixing services to blockchain technology but to only enhance the privacy and anonymity of crypto currency transactions.  What will say about privacy coins?
Understand that people used mixing service to secure themselves cause using a single wallet thrice is not a safe decision cause theres some online thefts which purpose was to target huge coins sent and with mixing service person dont need to be worry.

Meaning mixers are most widely being used by average bitcoin users trying to reclaim some of their privacy from the ever more invasive surveillance performed by centralized exchanges.

952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still enjoy the anonymity in gambling in the long run? on: July 09, 2020, 12:13:22 PM
After reading some posts on this thread i saw some people who yet to understand that the reason KYC was implemented by most crypto egambling site is the stance of the governments of the country where they operated in against crypto but the duties of gambling license master holders is to regulate and issue license to egambling company.
We have a case where some government have their own master license holder company but anonymity is always excluded but egambling that got their license from KYC free master license holder or country but request for KYC does that for their own security purpose.

Back the OP question, yes we can still enjoy anonymity in gambling but gamblers need to read the terms and conditions of gambling sites before using it.
953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: transferred funds to electrum and they disappeared on: July 08, 2020, 11:14:45 PM
thanks for your responses. it's version 4.01. I downloaded it from electrum.org. Can that really be wrong?
It's over 1200 euro that is missing...
Yes, it is . The latest electrum wallet is 4.0.2 not 4.0.1

You can also do a test to see if your machine has been compromised in some way.

NOTE THIS IS A POSITIVE ONLY TEST. IT CAN PROVE THAT YOUR MACHINE *HAS* MALWARE. IT DOES NOT PROVE IT DOES NOT HAVE MALWARE.

Log back into Kraken.

Open Electrum

Copy / paste your receiving address from Electrum into Kraken.

Now check to see if it matches what is displayed by Eelectrum if it does not then you have a clipboard hijacker.

If it does then do a search on the address, most addresses associated with frauds have been discussed online and if you see it then you are either have malware OR you have a compromised version of electrum.

Even if all is good, this does not mean that you are safe. As I said, you can only prove that you have a problem. If it all looks good, all that means is that you are not showing signs of the problem NOW.

-Dave
It definitely not a clipboard hijacker attacks because the OP said he only send his BTC from kraken to his personal wallet which the tx ID shows the BTC was moved after kraken sent it to his personal wallet.
Is either OP computer is compromised or the wallet but if it the wallet and I dont think OP downloaded the wallet on electrum.org.
954  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's ok if your profits are less on: July 08, 2020, 10:28:27 PM
It good the OP have understood already that making a less profit is better than making losses in every investment but i dont see him making less profit if he calculates the current price of the subject in USD and the current price of ETH because they token is now experiencing a downtrend.
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will it take for crypto payment to go mainstream? on: July 08, 2020, 08:54:13 PM
From careful observation, it's becoming clear that it may be hard for crypto to go mainstream without the involvement of the payment sector. Whenever we talk about cryptocurrency payment, we quickly want to adopt Bitcoin. I think we are all getting it wrong here considering Bitcoin's high transaction fee and relatively longer confirmation time compared to other crypto stablecoins or other faster crypto assets.
My personal take, however, is that, for crypto to go mainstream and the impact felt, the focus needs to pivot a bit away from Bitcoin. Yes, it is the first crypto, but at its present state, it definitely cannot fit into every area. This is my opinion, if you have something contrary, I will definitely love to hear them.

I firstly want to point that crypto going mainstream is not what important here and whats important is that bitcoin fully its purpose during the current pandemic despite the world economy been affected.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin transaction fee is still okay compare to bank transfer or others electronic transfer (WU etc.) and with SegWit/lightning the bitcoin transaction confirmation is not that long.
With that been said, it's not hard for Bitcoin to go mainstream if the governments and institution support it all payment sector will add it to there payment system.
956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin tiktok challenge Hype. on: July 08, 2020, 07:30:59 PM
Dogecoin team not including the major concept of their in their promotion lately is one of the reasons why the coin didn't gain much support these days because there's absence social challenges and creating tiktok challenge is a cool strategy because it will help the coin the market.
Meanwhile, it good the coin almost reaches 50% on Binance market as said by the OP.
957  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: July 07, 2020, 08:43:14 PM

I still resist in this list, unfortunately the time available is very little and what little I have I dedicate to fixing the bot that gives me problems with the forum scraping
thank you for your work in publishing this report!

Your Telegram bot is awesome. I guess it sends a large number of notifications to forum users when I publish monthly statistics. Wink
Yes, it does cause i got notification through it that my name was mentioned here but I was still surprised that my name was listed among the most generous users that gave out merits last month despite the fact that i only sent 8 merits out of all total19199 merits sent.

959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Creator Dead on Covid-19? on: July 06, 2020, 06:42:34 PM
We still dont know who Satoshi Nakamoto is and if it happen that hes died of Covid 19 or long ago it won't have any negative impact on the Bitcoin market because ever since his disappearance he has left all the decision making and control of Bitcoin market in the hand of crypto communities.
960  Economy / Economics / Re: Many countries have currencies pegged to the US dollar. When tether collapses... on: July 06, 2020, 05:25:22 PM
The Zimbabwean government and the rest that issued the US dollars backed/peg current definitely follow the steps of Tether but issuing a currency backed with Fiat currency is a lame decision because fiat currency are not hedge to inflation which is the reason why some Stablecoin project we have in the cryptosphere are following the step led by Gold stablecoin.

I wouldn't touch tether at all... I mean if the company is greedy enough to hold 70% in reserves and not just invest the other 30% but keep it as a reserve then WTF are people using them.

I think they got hacked, some funds were stolen and some funds were frozen by banks or something. So they lowered the backing rate to 70%(?) but eventually they just changed it to not being backed at all lol. They learned every trick in the book from the federal reserve history.
The last time i checked they got hacked long ago before they were sued by NYC attorney general. Is this by any chance a new case which I'm yet to be aware.
With that been said, we know that Tether teams are liar which the reason why i never support them but they never change their claim to not being backed at all.
