As I said before I'm not getting involved with cloudhashing, so it's not a matter of at what stage of being scammed I'm in. It's more like "wow, there's a LOT to learn here." There certainly are other things going on besides logical reasoning--that's true for everyone.
As for it being obvious that selling mining contracts is a scam, it's not as obvious if you are brand new to the concept of mining and have no idea of what's actually possible. I, for my part, have found all the posts that went over how much computing power, electricity, etc. it actually takes to be quite informative in that respect.
With a lot of things, I have found that just because something is obvious to *me* does not mean people who don't see what I see are idiots.
Don't worry. I'm still a newbie as well! There is a massive amount to learn, and you are likely to win and lose along the way. Just take everything as a lesson, learn from it and you will be better off than most others.

Freerolls meant to be a way for talented players to build the bankroll necessary to start grinding the fish-pool,
Why would this be the case? Talented players can buy their own bitcoin, why do they need handouts? Freerolls are the only way people can try out the site before they spend real money, since there are no play money tables. This is what I was thinking. Anyone that plays poker seriously is going to avoid freerolls, unless they are doing them for training purposes (to show others play styles). There's no reason to put yourself in a donk-fest to win a small amount of money unless you aren't that good and are hoping to get better.

Right now there is a break in the freeroll from 12:05 for 2 minutes. While the GTD has started. Basically I have no time to go to go to toilet, get drinks, etc. Could the breaks always be at xx:55 and for 5 minutes? Thanks, keep up the good work ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Yeah, I have never seen a site that doesn't give 5 minutes (really more, since they wait until all tables are finished with the hand). I'm also used to the X:55 break times.

I think the name is going to cause problems... those who don't keep up with gaming consoles (generally the parents) are going to hear that their kids want the new Xbox. They're going to see the "One" and the 360, and end up getting a 360.
I think this was a bad marketing move.
Lol. I don't think that will happen. No one keeps buying the '99 cars, do they? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Cars are different. It's obviously not 2099 so people can automatically relate it to 1999. Consoles are less known. Kind of like PC's. I still get questions about how good a PC with a 40GB HDD is, "because it has a lot of memory and that's good, right?" This is done by retailers: Move everything about 360 somewhere else. Put "New XBOX ONE" and have HEAPS of them around. Don'T worry, people stupid enough to do this will likely be led by retail store design. lol, you highly underestimate people on the Internet. A lot of people do their shopping online these days, and you are undoubtedly going to find people buying them off eBay and Craigslist for high prices. Even when the PS3/360 were in-stock in local stores, people were offering 2x what they were worth on CL because they were seen as being "rare." I guess you could look at it as being their fault though. I never buy anything without knowing exactly what it is, why I need it, and understanding how it benefits me. Not sure. Here in Germany, the people who are a little "simpler in their technical thinking" buy their stuff somewhere in one of two megastores, Media Markt or Saturn. And both belong to the same corporation, the Metro Group. They are still winning. Cant comment on the US situation, but Craigslist is something people wouldn'T trust around here and on Ebay, I dare you doing something like this in Germany... people are the worst customers when it comes to online sales... And you have 14 days legal tenure to send it back. 14 days? That's nuts! Here most stores give a minimum of 30 days. Some give 60-90. And if a store won't take your return and you used a credit card, you can simply do a chargeback and get back your money. No. 14 days in online sales. Retail sales, if not broken, are final. If you do a chargeback, you will get a bill twice as high, since the retail store is going to ask their payment provider for info on fraud and send you a bill. Probably their lawyer will. If you do not react to that, you will be quickly listed in an online registry for people with credit problems and reduce your score which makes you big problems if you want a new bank account, credit card, phone contract or get a credit for a house. Most bigger retailers take things back, but it is a hassle. Wow, and I thought some of our policies were bad. People dislike our Target stores because they require receipts for exchanges. Wal-Mart will let you return pretty much anything even without a receipt, as long as you are willing to accept store credit instead of cash. After Christmas we also get extensions to the return policy at most stores, where some give up to 6 months to return an item. The only stipulation is usually that if it is opened and isn't broken, there is a restocking fee (usually 10-15% of the purchase price).

thanks so, great. This thread does reveal that it is possible I would be willing to crowdsource or do a public offering of shares to support an endeavor. Everyone keeps talking about how much money it would, obvious solution is to pool resources for R&D try not to 51% litecoin in the process I'm kind of iffy on this. While I think it could work out to be a good thing, it could also end up in a wash.

I just tried it for the first time yesterday, pretty cool game. The movement takes some getting used to though. In the first minute I went to go walk on the mountains and got stuck and couldn't get down because I kept walking into an invisible wall! I think there needs to be a way to define more clearly where you can walk and not get stuck, or have a mechanism that lets you get out of a jam. Other than that though the game is really cool, and I'm still learning about all the games. Sometimes the server is a bit of a ghost town though, or people don't talk. There really is almost nothing like Dragon's Tale though, really fun experience so far.
Create saved locations (can't think of what they're called now). They are very helpful for getting out of stuck areas as you can just port wherever you have saved. Also, another way is to type /visit name, for someone else that's near you. This teleports you directly to where they are standing, unless they are in "hermit mode."

Adding a fee will move your transaction higher up the priority list, so it should confirm more quickly. You can send a transaction without fees if you wish, provided it is under the size limit. It could end up taking a long time to confirm though.
What is the size limit to send without a fee? 10k and all outputs have to be 0.01 BTC or more.

12 inches of heaven Wieners on wheels Top Dog (logo = hot dog with a top hat) Fun In A Bun Wiener Takes All Everyone's a Wiener Franks for the Memory
lol, I think a couple of those could bring trouble due to sexual connotations. Go with something like Wiinees. WeenEZ? WeinEZ? WiinEZ would work. Abbreviate it "WEN" (pronounced "we-en"). Hits the target audience with a "fun" name that still has an abbreviation that works. I dont know, Im still kinda leaning towards more emphasis on Cheesesteaks rather than Hot Dogs in all honesty. Hot Dog names are fun and can be catchy due to their nature, but Im not sure I am totally sold on them. Even if it would probably be the smart idea considering where Im starting... ChiizDogz

It's a scam until it's not.
In America it's innocent until proven guilty. If they're a scam then you should have no problem proving it. I agree with this, but sometimes it is hard to prove as well. The worst part is that in court (at least in the US) you have to prove it was a deliberate scam as well. For example, if you gave them money and their company fell due to not being able to create the product, that wouldn't be a scam. It would have to mean that they knew before they even started that they were stealing your money and had planned out how they were going to do it.

Are you masters figuring it all out on your own or are there specific classes a person could take? I'd like to learn how to write scripts and do anything and everything through the terminal window.
Learn by doing! Find something you want to know, Google it, and just do it. Over time you will become more adept at it. Just make sure you keep practicing.

Interesting since trusted companies like WIRED Magazine have them in their possession and showed the rig running and what it produces.
I think this has more to do with people calling them a scam because they're angry customers.
If I wanted to steal $10 million dollars off $1,000 items, I could easily send off 10 of them to reputable people. That's $10k for me and now I get 10 mil in return. Massive income. Saying someone got theirs is irrelevant. That's how scams work. People send to some to gain trust.
