9421  Local / Romānă (Romanian) / Re: Guvernul vine! ANAF si DIICOT ii urmaresc pe traderi on: February 09, 2020, 08:50:51 AM

9423  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign rule - minimum of 20 posts must be in Gambling :D on: February 08, 2020, 03:16:06 PM
I do post in gambling, but not 20 post/week on a regular basis. That's why I didn't join.

Requiring at least 20 posts in the gambling section could lead to spam

Yes, it can lead to spam, that's why I wrote that I hope that they know what they are doing.
On the other hand, there are certainly ways to post more than 20 in gambling without spam, I think I know at least 2 ways, but I don't gamble enough to do that.
9424  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign rule - minimum of 20 posts must be in Gambling :D on: February 08, 2020, 02:07:16 PM
I do post in gambling, but not 20 post/week on a regular basis. That's why I didn't join.

But if they want that from their advertisers, they have the right to ask for that. We can only hope they know what they are doing.
9425  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-02-08] Police Shuts Down Bitcoin Mine Over Coronavirus on: February 08, 2020, 10:54:35 AM
I think that it somehow makes sense. I mean, from what I've read the important services are disrupted.
The maintenance personnel should stay mostly home for now. I'm not sure how do they live in the mine as the owner claims, I'm not sure that's also legal.
And.. what if such a facility catches fire? I'm not sure the fire service will come to extinguish it.
9426  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Cooldown for the second locking thread on: February 08, 2020, 10:45:06 AM
If you're active in scam accusations board, you will believe it what I say.

The cooldown option is too restrictive, especially if it's done for the whole forum. Let the owner of the thread do as he thinks.
The scam accusations board has now 10 locked threads on the first 10 pages. I understand what you mean, but you can always open your own thread and make your point. And you can even keep it more active than the other / related thread.
9427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transactions on Smartwatches? on: February 08, 2020, 10:37:00 AM
Smartwatches still have quite a small display and you may end up missing some info and making mistakes. I'm not sure what you can type there, the small display is again an issue. And if a smartwatch wallet would be made, in a way or another, such a wallet will have to support hardware wallet.

I think that we should see the notifications on smartwatch, but keep the wallets of the smartphone for now.
9428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Privacy Coins on: February 07, 2020, 12:00:32 PM
The contenders are Dash and PiVX.

Well, Dash does a great job at advertising itself as privacy coin, but it should not be in the list. I won't say more because I would go off topic.
Grin, on the other hand, IS interesting and it could be soon quite a competitor for Monero.
9429  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What's your best exchanger? on: February 07, 2020, 08:09:51 AM
Hello. Can anybody introduce me easy and best exchanger in crypto? Huh

Whenever in doubt, check https://bitcoin.org or in this case https://bitcoin.org/en/exchanges  Wink

Most may recommend Binance, especially if you also play with altcoins.
I also like Bitstamp, Bittrex and some others, but these will ask for KYC documents.

You should have said if you exchange fiat, Bitcoin, major altcoins, lesser known altcoins...

Edit: about "easy", well, there's a learning curve.. but I am sure you'll find tutorials if you search a little.
9430  Other / Meta / Re: List of advertising shills. Mods please review and ban as appropriate. on: February 07, 2020, 08:05:09 AM
I don't deem my threads a low value or uninteresting.

Self-evaluation is in most cases incorrect and basically means nothing. No offense, it's the case for anyone.

I don't know all the names from the topic, but the ones I know do fit in that category.
And I agree to @o_e_l_e_o : mods will have to check the facts and make a decision.

All the rest of the discussion is basically meaningless and you don't have to "convince us". The facts are there to be checked.

PS: shouldn't be the advertising like this stay in the product ANN thread (at most!) ?
9431  Other / Off-topic / Time sync for Aegis (2FA)? on: February 07, 2020, 07:57:04 AM
After using Google Authenticator for years, some months ago I thought I'll give a try to Aegis since it was praised here by people I trust. And the backup/restore functionality is very handy (although I still have my paper with the 2FA seeds I kept as backup for Google Auth).

But I've got quite a surprise lately: it's off. The numbers it generates are not accepted by the websites. Luckily I still have Google Auth on my phone and I've successfully used that, but I feel that I may be missing something.
I didn't find any time sync functionality in Aegis.

I know that if I sync my phone to an atomic clock it'll work again, but there has to be a better way. Google has it.
9432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction Finality on Bitcoin on: February 07, 2020, 07:42:54 AM
Bitcoin's blockchain records basically the money flow. It doesn't care about the actual wallet and how "final" you feel the funds in it are.

This being said, all you know is if an input has "enough" (which can have various meanings) number of confirmations and you can or cannot spend it (it's yours or not). That's just simply all.
9433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 07, 2020, 07:25:41 AM
one little question here, while everyone is expecting the pump on btc and reaching around 15k-20k why dominance is decreasing lately  Huh

doesnt it means that the promised AltSeason might be much closer than  we expect  Grin

i think we are waiting for that season for around 3 years  Roll Eyes

I think that you should have been asking this in the altcoin speculation area.
Yes, some altcoins were lately recovering nicely and the numbers show that. This may mean a lot or may mean nothing, since we are mostly focused here on Bitcoin and I didn't see proper TA for the major worthy altcoins.
I think that altcoin season (constant bigger gains than Bitcoin) may be sooner than 3 years though. It may depend (or not) on when Bitcoin surpasses 20k and how long the good side of the market cycle will last.
Since money is comeing back into Bitcoin, it's not unexpected that some altcoins get their share too. But I am not convinced we are close to altcoin season. One flower doesn't make it spring.
9434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: February 06, 2020, 01:27:39 PM
I don't consider good or bad projects are the only thing that decide I trade with such assets.

If you do day trade this should usually not be a problem.
But gold backed coins are not necessarily for day trading. Their better use is holding, on the premise that gold is bound to rise.
And if a gold backed coin is actually not backed (as I expect from Tether), the holders may face an ugly surprise at some point sooner or later.
9435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Developers Changed blocks data! Sell all your Bitcoin for other Crypto! on: February 06, 2020, 01:18:02 PM
I am not sure what you mean but the way the data is stored doesn't matter as long as the protocol and the content of the data is the same.
So your gibbering means nothing.

So .. what are FUD-ing about?

9436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: February 06, 2020, 10:53:16 AM
You might be right but Tether issuing Gold back stable coin was not because of the high demand of precious metals back stable coin but Tether understanding that they failed to provide crypto users and investors by backing their crypto with fiat which was the reason Satoshi created bitcoin as an alternative solution to inflation.

I think that you are wrong. USDT is not backed, not for real. They failed to provide proper, reliable 3rd party audit for the funds.
And I think that Tether issuing gold-backed coin is just another marketing gimmick to fool investor wannabes and they will, again, not back it with anything, just pull numbers out of the hat.
9437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Made Some Bitcoin WhatsApp stickers on: February 06, 2020, 10:43:54 AM
I'd rather go for some stickers like these or some cute, chubby ones with puppy-like eyes and all. But I'm not a designer so someone with an artistic hand could do it.

It's a great list and I think that's not so hard to adapt to basically anything if somebody has a bit of artistic skills.
And I didn't know it.

No offense OP, but imho social media needs somewhat "less sober" stickers  Wink
9438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How will CB coins help bitcoin and altcoin on: February 06, 2020, 08:43:53 AM
Then what is the point of using cryptocurrency if we have a legal digital currency? are not almost all of the existing cryptocurrency means to be a payment system?

You have started this wrong. The fact that legal stable coins might replace current centralized stable coins don't make them a replacement to decentralized proper crypto coins. But they could help in the exchange between our (crypto, anonymous or pseudo anonymous, not much regulated) world and the fiat/banking world. And you know why? Exactly because of the lack of acceptance. Exactly because only designing a coin to be .. a coin, won't make the shop at the next corner accept it. At least not yet.

How many times did you pay with Bitcoin?
How many times did you pay with ... Monero?
And.... how many times did you pay with ... IOTA?  Grin

9440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How will CB coins help bitcoin and altcoin on: February 05, 2020, 04:08:14 PM
Actually they might help. We'll see how they are implemented.
What I am thinking is that they are supposed to be stable coins. Probably the most trusted stable coins.
If they manage to replace Tether and other shady ( = not properly audited ) stable coins it would be good for the crypto markets: there may be less cries about price manipulation.
