9441  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is a 'Project of US Intelligence,' Kaspersky Lab Co-Founder Claims on: January 20, 2018, 08:08:26 AM
I'm also not buying this conspiracy. That's what you love about Satoshi, he's truly a genius, creating bitcoin and then went MIA. He played this card very well that why bitcoin is gaining popularity everyday. If he the project is of US intelligence, well they made it so bad that almost everyone wants to get a hands on it. And because its not only used by American or British or Canadian intelligence, but Terrorist as well. So its a complete failure from their end. Unless Satoshi come out of the open(from his grave), and declare that it's really a US intelligence project, I'm not going to believe on this conspiracy.
9442  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are Exchanges becoming too unstable ? on: January 20, 2018, 07:59:21 AM
The concept really is no different than any other kind of website or application service. There will be scalability issues, no matter the servers, because nothing can quite run at the same time due to concurrency complications in the back-end. Everything has to be well designed, and given the nature of most exchanges which rush to obtain as much of the market as possible, they prioritize a fast to implement design over a good, scalable one. The industry's nature makes it so that exchanges want to be created and available as soon as possible. Scalability comes later as the market increases. With the recent increase in popularity and volatility of Bitcoin, exchanges have not had the time to adapt. Whose fault this is is up to the customers to say.

Yes, with the current surge of customers, exchanges can't cope with the demand, their services started to declined, and the best way to cope with is to have downtimes, closing its membership. However, as a service provider, they should at all cost, upgrade their infrastructure so that they can give us better support. I think they can really adapt it at the background, well if a downtime is needed, I think it should be at a minimum so that customers like us will continue to used them. They are earnings millions by now, its about time that they should provide us seamlessly.
9443  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-20] The Indonesian Gov. is Cracking Down Further on Bitcoin Use in Bali on: January 20, 2018, 07:51:35 AM
What do you expect? They have issued a total ban already, its just a matter of time that the full hands of the law will be implemented. Bali safe haven for bitcoin transaction? Of course, its a tourist spot so I'm sure that a lot of foreigners are using bitcoin to withdraw money then convert it to fiat using localbitcoins. I'm sure that the Indonesian authority will get be very busy looking and unravelling Indonesian's involved in bitcoin. Unfortunately, bitcoin will still thrive in countries in South East Asia, they will always find a way to earn bitcoin underground, away from the prying eyes of the government.
9444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you think about Bitcoin Future ? on: January 20, 2018, 07:26:16 AM
Bitcoin is decentralised currency right now.
What you think is gonna going to centralised everywhere or still it will remain the same?
Please comment on this topic.
Let's see what we can get according to viewer 's view?
Counting start now...

Bitcoin and centralization should not be put in same breathe. I suggest you guys should read Satoshi's Whitepaper. Here's the link: (https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf), instead of asking questions, first understand its designed and then ask if you find any flaw.

No it will always remain decentralized. Suggest you read the bitcoin.pdf whitepaper before you comment on this. The decentralization aspect is the basic of the concept of bitcoin - to get money out of the hands of power-hungry people on the world.

Bitcoin will never become centralized and if you are looking for some centralized currency then there are many altcoins - like ripple which come under them. Not that the community of crypto like that though.

Exactly, lots of newbie thread asking the same question again. We don't want to be rude, but if they have the decency to read and understand what bitcoin is, they wouldn't asked such basic questions. I guess its either they are totally noob and just goes here and think that its a quick rich scheme, or they have intentions to spread confusion among newbies (paid schills), or just want to be spoonfeed with everything.  Shocked
9445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wallet is not safe on: January 20, 2018, 07:02:53 AM
Many people believe that electronic wallets are safe, but in fact, Bitcoin accounts and trading floors are frequently hacked.

If you using trading platforms as your wallet and then complained about its not safe., then you really need to learn more about how to protect your wallet. Trading platform are not really safe, that's why we have wallets such as Electrum and Bitcoin Core to begin with. Don't put all your funds in a trading platform, moved it to a wallet that you have total control of your private keys.

As there is no regulatory body that guarantees a Bitcoin number to a person, it is very difficult to retrieve it if lost. If stolen, there is no hope. Such attacks are ongoing.

Then it will defeat the purpose of bitcoin being decentralized if there's a regulatory body in between. Bitcoin is irreversible and it has no name associated with it. If you are looking for safety, then deal with banks. I guess you should read about Satoshi's Whitepaper, so you will understand how bitcoin was designed and what its purpose.
9446  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin takes HUGE dip, Regulation becomes a concern and bitconnect turns in on: January 20, 2018, 06:52:30 AM
Usually news are used by speculators just as a pretext for pushing the price up or down and make a profit. BTW I would not put Bitcoin and Bitconnect in the same discussion - they are two completely different things.

Yes of course, this was more of a generalized thread of different things going on.

Yeah, Bitcoin is of another discussion, and I don't think that they really have a significant effect on the price during the crash 2-3 ago. News (Positive or Negative), usually influence the mind of investors and always think that the market is based on speculation. A sudden news will tilt the equilibrium on either direction. As far China and South Korea, those are FUD's, what's concern me though is that when China release a news, it always have a double meaning, you can't really understand if they are going to ban everything related to crypto, or just spreading news that will create a panic and then they will bought bitcoin quietly. Of course, its really hard to proved, but somewhat you can't really think of any excuses as to why they releases such statement. As for South Korea, no definite directions as well. So we really need to be vigilant everyday and update ourselves of the current news so that we can make correct decisions specially during market crash.
9447  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are mooning!!!!! on: January 20, 2018, 06:42:01 AM
Do you guys see how fast the market cap is climbing right now??? its insane, all time high coming soon I predict!

I wouldn't say that we are mooning, but definitely the price is picking up today. Its now heading to $13,000, and I'm sorry for those newbies who have sold  their coins during the crash. They make the biggest mistakes that you can do during crash, to panic sell. I'm sure that they head is somewhat clear by now and know what really happened, high price to pay, but hey, its part of their learning process. But I would like to see a steady recovery, much safe in my opinion. We don't want a sudden surge once again, it will look like its another artificial pump. Let the growth be organic, otherwise we will see another crash in the horizon if the price is pump so hard to reach $20K.
9448  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the price going lower? on: January 20, 2018, 06:34:51 AM
Don't know if the market will drop further after this Bitconnect news.

Are you guys waiting to go in more or just going in now?

I don't think the Bitconnect news will have a drastic impact on the market, unless otherwise you can give us proof. The news that Bitconnect is a scam have been floating in for about a month now, if it has a negative effect, it should already be price in already. And just like what I said in the last couple of days, bitcoin is on recovery phase. The waiting out game is already done. Investors started to flock the ecosystem once again. Before I went to bed, the price of bitcoin is around $11,000-$11,500 and it looks like its stuck on that levels. However, it's gaining momentum and we should expect a rally ad testing $13,000-$15,000 in the next days or so.
9449  Bitcoin / Press / Re: {2018-01-18} Winklevoss twins become ex-billionaires on: January 20, 2018, 06:09:46 AM
Another non-sense article. The twin have so much money that they don't care if bitcoin goes to a market crash. They are bag holders on if and I doubt that they will dump it soon. LOL. They pitch that they become billionaires when bitcoin peaks at $19,000 then suddenly brush it off when it goes down. Do they really look at everyone's wallet and see who becomes millionaire or billionaire? I'm waiting for another articles saying that they become billionaires again when bitcoin surpasses $20,000 this year. LOL. And not only the twins have been affected by all of this bloodbath in the last couple of days, but all investors. Oh well, everyone is riding the popularity of bitcoin, every clicks, every read they got is money for those social media outlet now.
9450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Headed to $40,000? on: January 19, 2018, 02:33:52 PM
Not a long time ago when Bitcoin reached $10,000, it was a huge celebration.Yesterday when Bitcoin was at $10,000, it was like the end of the world, I've read all kind of stuff - "bubble, scam, fraud, THE END, Melt Down...........

Van-Petersen and Mike Novogratz said : “Bitcoin could be at $40,000 at the end of 2018. It easily could,”

You don't need to worry at all. Those people who keeps spreading false news about bitcoin is simply creating a panic amongst investors to make them sell their stash. That's how they operate. They want people to dump so that they can buy and accumulate more. So you shouldn't listen and don't be affected by those paid schills, always remember that. And people celebrating when bitcoin goes up as those new to the market, they are happy to see their portfolio growing, but disappointment sets up, so they sell because they don't like to lose and they listen to the FUD around. Don't be that kind of noob, just stay calm during price correction, and just hold and I'm sure that it will go on our favor long term.
9451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fall to $8,500 is to buy Gold on: January 19, 2018, 02:24:58 PM
Bitcoin will never fall on that market value or not even closer to that. The once bloody market that we had witnessed has already passed and it seems that it's getting back to normal again. Both Bitcoin and Gold are two completely different thing but bitcoin has the bigger percentage of giving you a profit that could go 10 times fold.

Of course, we have seen that a correction is normal and temporary. No need to shift back funds from bitcoin to other investment platforms because you just make it too complicated on your end. The price is currently above $11,700 and if it goes to $12,000 then is safe to assume that the bears are coming back. But as far as investing on Gold, its also a good move, I have nothing against Gold investors. But for me going to move my funds because the price of bitcoin is declining, I wouldn't do that at all. Both are good for a long term profits, but I will rather stick to bitcoin which will give us a better percentage of profit at the end of the year just by holding on it.
9452  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Impatience kills projects on: January 19, 2018, 02:18:03 PM
I agree with this. Many people think that a successful project only takes 1 or 2 months of hard work, when in fact it takes more than that. Imagine the hours spent of the devs trying to polish everything and the advertising team trying to get the word out there. Getting a well-developed project takes time and effort, and all these opportunists traders think are profits and how it would a certain coin benefit them. Oftentimes, this happens when a coin is overhyped and everyone on board is expecting for it to be pumped once it goes live. No one genuinely cares about coin development nowadays. All they care about is money and profits.

Yes, everyone is really in for making money and profits. That's why we have this so called pump and dump groups. They will do everything to hype a project and then they are the one who is also killing it. How many coins that we have seen de-listed on a exchange? There are de-listed because not enough money is being put to that coin, or maybe just the pump and dump group haven't to notice that coin? but if you look at the background, devs are really working hard to improve the coins, unfortunately, it was already de-listed by the trading platform. Those group doesn't really give a damn about a coin, as long as they can make money out of it through continues pump and then taking the profits, they will continue to do so.
9453  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-18] South Korea: Gov’t Officials Accused of Crypto Insider Trading on: January 19, 2018, 09:29:37 AM
Oh OK, that's why we can't find anything that we can relate all this FUD and we just woke up seeing the market has crashed already. And then we pinpoint all the FUD coming around the South Korean government supposedly banning of all things crypto related. Not the first time though, Chinese have been doing this sort of manipulation before, however, I was quite surprised South Korean's officials doing this fraudulent act. Let's see how it goes, I hope that everything is clear enough that this is just pure FUD and hope that everything will be normal in the next couple of days.
9454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: January 19, 2018, 09:24:12 AM
Cleveland returns to victory against Orlando (worst record in nba with 13W 32L) but suffers a lot despite a maximum advantage of 23 points even risking losing.
Lebron James meanwhile is at 29.975 points, in the next match against Oklahoma with 25 points reaches 30,000 points!
They Cavs are the favorite to win that one  Smiley. Next game against OKC, James will score 30+ to get that 30k points club.

Nice to see the Cavaliers to get a win and stop the slide, snapping a 4 game losing streak. However, there still drama at the end, and there's a chance that Cavaliers could have lost that one. Same story, they have a huge lead and almost choke, actually they did, and IT was fouled and hit 2 free throws. So it can still go either way, but they got lucky at the end. I think they still need more improvement as far as defense. When the Magic is making a comeback, Cavaliers gave them easy look at the basket that why they were able to come back and take a 1 point lead. I'm still not totally sold out with the Cavaliers last performance.
9455  Economy / Economics / Re: Glad to see BtC recover above $11k, all time highs on the horizon? on: January 19, 2018, 09:01:09 AM
Thankfully we recovered from the $9k blood bath, how long until you the think BTC reaches a new all-time high above $20k?

I think you can breath a sigh of relief for now. Because bitcoin is holding strong at $11,500 but its still a far cry from the $17,000-$19,000 that we enjoyed in the November-2nd week of December 2017. We are in the road to recovery, it may be slow but its better that way because we don't want the price to quickly surge just like we have seen last year. But I will remain cautious as the South Korean FUD is still up and their government hasn't made any official announcement as to what direction they really want to go. But I'm optimistic that whatever the outcome is, it will have a short term effect to the ecosystem. But it was nice to see that the crypto sphere is already back on its feet.
9456  Economy / Speculation / Re: The fun's over. on: January 19, 2018, 08:43:30 AM
Just relax mate, everything is over right now, i do not think that the price will keep going much more lower than what it touched today. And yes, all those newbies creating Fud in here or just selling their money are just the main reason of this dip.

And those newbies keeps shouting that bitcoin will go to $50,000 at the end of the year, are the first out to be shaken and get out of the market immediately.

yeah i am pretty mad about all those newbies who are coming in here everyday saying that "bitcoin is over " that "bitcoin is dead" "bitcoin is not going up" and bla bla bla.. Anyway, we are here, and we need to understand that they will always spread all their shit in here.

Well, those newbies will really learn it the expensive way, some of them really bought at the top price, what do you expect from inexperienced traders? And this always happened with bitcoin market is having a correction, newbies, paid schills creating FUD, but when bitcoin recovered and going all-time-highs again, those account will be quiet and you can't hear anymore from them.

mind you. some newbies are earning more than those of higher ranks. Wink Cheesy Grin Smiley

Oh well it maybe the case, but I'm sure most of them didn't know what hit them when the market crashes and the only choice they have is to push the sell buttom. Sigh!!!
9457  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 is death of bitcoin? on: January 19, 2018, 08:36:35 AM
It's really funny to see thread coming alive and resurrected and says that bitcoin will be dead specially when the price is on a deep crash like we have seen a couple of days. How many times have we really seen bitcoin died? NADA. But you have to admire those paid schills around, how ironic because I'm sure that they are holding more bitcoins stash somewhere. LOL. For bitcoin to be dead, this forum should died as well. Do you think that investors will just pull out their money from the ecosystem and shift it to other investment like stocks on the altcoin market? Those fools keeps barking, but the more they shout the more people are laughing at them. We still up like more than 10% year-to-year. So the likelihood that bitcoin is going away is 0.
9458  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any one used Changelly ? on: January 19, 2018, 07:49:49 AM
Hi,

Any one used https://changelly.com/ before? and How you can trust it?

thanks

Yes, I just used it 2 days ago to be exact. You have to create an account first before you can exchange your coins. Actually its my first time to used them and I've been reading a lot of reviews and its seem they got a good rating as compare to Shapeshit, I mean Shapeshift which the fee's are ridiculous high. I exchanged my Ethereum to Bitcoin. I was nervous at first but then I go and went with the transaction. Of course I double checked everything before sending it out. I did it when I was about to sleep, so I don't know how long the transaction takes place, although my Ethereum transaction (with 50 GWEI) was immediately, I was worried about the conversion and the deposit on my account. But Lo and Behold, when I wake up changelly confirmed that my transaction is done and when I opened my wallet its already there. Grin. So I can vouch that they are legit.

Edit: My transaction is .5 Ethereum only.

I have made a lot of exchanges with different coins on changelly before and i never got any issues with them, the only problem there is that they charge unexxpected fee to process exchange through their platform, however i would still say changelly is more cheaper than regular wallet like coinbase, btc.com but as your topic is to know trusted exchange service, i think we have guarantee for our coins safety when it comes to a huge amount, whether it is shapeshift, or changelly, you should exchange in splits, not to send whole amount in single transaction if funds are huge

Shapeshift charges more If I'm not mistaken.
9459  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-18] 5 Reasons why Januasy`s Price Slump is Nothing to Worry About on: January 19, 2018, 07:41:40 AM
I never thought that the Chinese Lunar New Year, might have an impact over the btc price.Perhaps millions of chinese people sold a part of their crypto savings in order to buy some gifts with fiat money. Grin
Cryptocurrencies are more consentrated in Asia, compared with the rest of the world. The biggest exchange platfroms are located there, most of the crypto mining is still located in China. This reduces the worldwide stability of the crypto industry.I wish that crypto mining and trading will be distributed equally among most of the countries worldwide, not in only one or two big countries.

I never thought that big occassions can also have an effect towards Bitcoin rate, davis196. It was only during the Christmas holidays when I first experience a solid dip from the rates reaching almost $20,000 and crashing as we near Christmas and New Year. Knowing the big role Asian countries play in the crypto world and how much they value occassions as such, its  surprising how it can greatly affect the market. But as the news state, there are many factors affecting the growth of Bitcoin and at this season, it can be considered a natural occurence for Bitcoin to experience a decline. We should know this as it has been proven consistent over time.

If you guys are not Asian, you wouldn't understand how people in that region really celebrate holidays specially New Year. Its a festivities that everyone is looking for that's why there are really a lot of dumping during this time because we all need fiat's. Although last year, we didn't see similar activity if I'm not mistaken, but times have changed now. And I would agree with the article, it covered what we have suspected all along, that this dump is attributed to those factors. We can't really stressed enough how the Asian market plays a big role, so I sudden sneeze causes a domino effect on the price of crypto's in general. But again, this is just a short term in the economy. Bitcoin is slowly regaining and building momentum.
9460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Target Market of Bitcoin on: January 19, 2018, 07:30:43 AM
Kindly enumerate all the target market of Bitcoin.

Many people now loves doing bitcoin because of the advantages of doing so but the fact is many of them are still not aware of what does the Bitcoin do and how does it work. And the list of knowledge about Bitcoin is too small.
Thats why I am asking now, who must be the Target Market of Bitcoin?
Thank you.

Bitcoin is global, from rich to poor, men and women, everyone is welcome because it has no boundaries. And for most people, they already see it as a money, currency and we all know that we need money around to survived. Also its really gaining popularity specially last year, there's still a lot of people who are not aware of it  but there are a lot of reports that it's slowly creeping around the world that's why you will see that some countries are banning it because they believe it can disrupt their economy. You self admit, that you have little knowledge, then its about time to broaden understanding about how bitcoin work and how you can earn. So as far as the target, it encompasses everyone, and its not only for the Asian or Western market.
