Santa really gives a thumbs up to this coin. I like it! I have put 4000 KH on it and have also listed a bunch of coins on coins-e.com for sale to stimulate the market. I will be placing buy orders shortly too. Keep up the good work!
Awesome, thanks. Welcome aboard!

Where can you put this for mac:
rpcuser=x rpcpassword=x rpcallowip=Your Miner IP rpcport=Your Miner Port server=1 gen=0
block_nTime=1317972665 block_nNonce=2084524493 maxconnections=100
addnode=69.85.86.195 addnode=68.103.6.158 addnode=71.187.248.95 addnode=70.69.238.84 addnode=108.185.218.246 addnode=70.98.114.229
I looked into the spots/application support folder and there is no config...
Never used a mac but in windows it goes into %appdata%/spots and there is no conf you have to create it. When you try to launch the client as a server just look st the error that pops up. It should say that spots.conf is missing and where it should go

Hash rate is back over 100 mHash and fairly steady now. I wonder if people know something...

I've been mining since yesterday. Going good so far. How many super blocks have been found so far? Is there anywhere I can check?
None found yet. You can check the Block Explorers to see them

I would suggest starting to mine this soon if you haven't. Something may or may not be happening today

As long as the "Downloaded 1650" number is correct with the Spots Chain, it doesnt matter what the "of 2500 Blocks" says.
1681 matches what's in the block explorer. Everything seems good. Though you must have sent the test transaction to someone else. I've received nothing in my transaction list. I'm not worried about it though. Thank you for all your hard work! Ok, here we go: Status: 0/unconfirmed Date: 7/24/2013 01:15 To: MDrk8nMfmUKeEuvAAQg7Mg9x7x4uLNVsE4 Debit: -20.00 SPT Transaction fee: -0.10 SPT Net amount: -20.10 SPT Transaction ID: abb72ffeef5ab0308a4a0cdcfffdbedc2edd0cf3dafcfbee9930ddb160227f5b I sent it last night, but my client closed before it actually got sent. My bad

I was going to do the precious metals with Litecoin, but figured we may as well make our own currency directly tradable for precious metals

We are on Block 1652 right now. You can check our current block on either explorer or either pool
If you are Out of Sync, but you see: Downloading Block 1652/239329823, then you are synced.
It will SAY it wants to download another 2000 blocks, but if your current block is the Spots block, you are good, no matter if it says out of Sync, or download 29387492384 blocks.
I sent you some, if they come through, you're good
I must have totally misunderstood what AbiTxGroup said about "Its at 2329 now." Sorry about that. My indicator says, "Downloaded 1676 of 3975 blocks of transaction history (41.66% done)" That's in keeping with what you describe. Wow. Now it's 1659 of 3975. I think I should probably give up trying to understand until I've had a night's rest. I haven't seen your transaction, but it's only been what, 15 minutes? I might still be a few blocks behind. (Of course, it'll probably flash me a notification five seconds after I hit "Post.") Thanks! All good. When it says "Downloaded 1650 of 2500 Blocks": As long as the "Downloaded 1650" number is correct with the Spots Chain, it doesnt matter what the "of 2500 Blocks" says.

getmininginfo is reporting that there are 1639 blocks in the chain, and has for a half hour or so. That was when it jumped from 1543. Says I have a number of connections and I believe you when you say it's just a display bug but it looks a lot like I'm hashing on blocks that were solved eight hours ago or more.
MDrk8nMfmUKeEuvAAQg7Mg9x7x4uLNVsE4 if you want to prove that it's working despite appearances but I think I'm going to wait for the new client.
You're not. It's just a display error with the QT, we are working on solutions right now. I have a new client ready to be pushed out, but I'm not yet satisfied with the testing to make sure it will universally work to fix sync issues. Sync display is the only issue we have

Windows client stopped syncing at 2313. I have 3 connections, 71.187.248.95, 70.98.114.229, 54.212.51.236. So far its been running for 10 minutes with one restart. All listed addnodes are in the conf file.
EDIT NOTE -
25 mins later, lost all node connections except 71.187.248.95 and the blocks remaining keep going up. Its at 2329 now.
We are working on a new client to fix syncing issues. Its just got some cross chatter from another block. If you even have 1 connection but it says out of sync, you're still synced. Give me an address and I'll send you some Spots to make sure. If they come through then you're good
