9461  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to know when BTT users login most? on: February 02, 2020, 02:04:36 PM
Also, even tho there's a bump button for topics, I think that the bump option isn't available for all topics.

The bump button is not the only way to bump topics. For the rest you have to post something to bump it (but you have to be certain you don't bump too often though).
And explaining clearer your problem will always help you.

Of course, we could just answer "usually about 17-23 GMT" which may be completely wrong since the numbers change while certain regions gain or lose interest. And may not help you at all, since I see the bumping/clarifying option is used by most.
9462  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to know when BTT users login most? on: February 02, 2020, 12:18:38 PM
I wanted to make a post here on the bitcoin forum, but then, I'm confused about when the best time is. I mean, how can one know the time at which users of the bitcointalk forum login most. I don't know if it's possible in any way but it's important tho.

I am not sure why is this so important. I can guess that it would be important for the ones who want to sell something or influence (FUD?).
But this is a discussions forum. So if you ask or say something and it's not answered /discussed quick, you'll bump it or even improve the question / topic.
9463  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ | Up to 0.0375 BTC/w on: February 02, 2020, 11:57:57 AM
I am sure that there is other logic to be also taken into consideration.
For example although Romania is well ranked in your second list, the Romanian sub forum is not as active as some others, hence others are already accepted to the campaign.

I am sure we don't know all the small things DarkStar_ is looking for, so we should just let him do his job.
9464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My evolution to playing on Bitcoin casinos on: February 02, 2020, 10:28:24 AM
Legitimacy on gambling sites doesn't guarantee us for bigger wins, but it's very important that we acquire lucky winnings through smaller chances.

Legitimacy on gambling sites makes the winning be the real thing, meaning it's something you can withdraw.
It doesn't matter if a fake casino shows you won 100BTC if you will never be able to withdraw anything.
9465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: address on website-how2 on: February 02, 2020, 10:24:57 AM
Everyone writes what he thinks.

Isn't it like that everywhere?  Cheesy But you came to bitcointalk and that's a great step forward.
Here you can always ask whatever is not clear (just make sure you always do a bit of search/research first, since some don't like to answer to same questions over and over again).
9466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV Hard Fork on: February 01, 2020, 12:53:40 PM
Are you shilling this overly pumped altcoin in Beginners & Help because you think that since it contains bitcoin in its name you'll trick more newbies into buying something they don't want?
Bitcoin SV is an altcoin. Bitcoin SV is not Bitcoin.
So, why didn't you just use this in the altcoins area? Maybe in Altcoins speculation?
9467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun and Corona Virus on: February 01, 2020, 12:29:21 PM
A bit vague about what they'll actually do, too focused on shilling Tron, quite late. And by this I mean that CZ/Binance did it much faster, better and clearer.
9468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: address on website-how2 on: February 01, 2020, 10:01:12 AM
Hi: I read everywhere that bitcoin addresses are one-transaction only.

No. You've started wrong.
They are recommended to be for one use, but it's not a must.
In fact for donations people usually keep one (and only one) address.

On the other hand, for example, bitcoin.org have a "Donate" address on their homepage.

And you can take a look and see that they don't change it after each and every transaction.
9469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My evolution to playing on Bitcoin casinos on: February 01, 2020, 09:28:34 AM
Does anyone here have experiences with bitcoin casinos that are favorable? Am I missing any of critical traits that a good casino should have?

I didn't have bad experience with bitcoin casinos because I've always chosen the reputed ones.
But I've read from time to time about scams (some probably real, some probably not since some people scream "scam" just because they lose) so I'd avoid the lesser known ones.

So I'd just go with the more established casinos. The list is not long.
Read their Terms and see if there are no jurisdiction issues, play a little here and there and then you'll surely remain with the one you like the most.
9470  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please help. I sent coins before downloading Core :( on: February 01, 2020, 09:11:14 AM
Thank you for your help, I have been able to divert my coins to electrum. I appreciate your advice and time. Am I safe to stop downloading Bit Core and delete Armoury as it is a little too complex for my use?

If that's too complex, then use Electrum, you should be fine as long as you follow the security advises (download Electrum only from official website electrum.org, learn to verify the signature of the downloaded Electrum, keep your computer safe from viruses, keep safe backup of your seed - which means offline and not on Dropbox/Google Drive/e-mail)

Keep in mind that your coins are not in the wallet (let's say they're on the blockchain) and the wallet only handles the keys to spend those coins. This means that you can have as many wallets you want with the same addresses. And this means that anyone who has your seed can spend your coins, hence the security measures I wrote.

9472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [Translators] List of Bitcointalk Translators on: January 31, 2020, 03:09:47 PM
I think that it would be great to see one big topic on translations, not two. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5214430.0
And no offense, but if I don't know who BountyPortals are, maybe others also don't know.
Maybe portfolio and other info would be better.

Now, after the criticism, can I have my name on the list too, please?  Smiley Romanian translations, portfolio is here.

9473  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ANOTHER FISHY WEBSITE I FOUND. on: January 31, 2020, 02:49:39 PM
Please use code tag for the bad URLs so newbies don't click them and you don't provide them help ranking up in Google results (because of the web pages linking to them)
9474  Economy / Services / Re: [? SLOTS OPEN] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ | Up to 0.0375 BTC/w on: January 31, 2020, 02:00:31 PM
I've got a question though: is it a problem if, until the manager decides whether I'll be allowed to take a place or not, I will be part of another campaign? I am kinda concerned this might tear my chances apart.

Don't take my word for it, but from what I understood it should be no problem.

Quick reminder that wearing the signature to apply is not required:
[~snip~]
So please don't miss out on other opportunities because you're waiting for me to make a decision.

I am sure that DarkStar_ knows that this is the best signature campaign right now on bitcointalk, so there should be not much of a decision to be made by anyone as soon as he's accepted here.
9475  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may hit 27K USD in the next 180 days! on: January 31, 2020, 01:50:35 PM
Tom Lee the Managing Partner at Fundstrat Global Advisors predicted that Bitcoin can reach to 27K USD within 180 days

This is interesting. The usual predictions are for publicity and the ones I've seen in the past were made to attract attention and help the businesses.
Just the businesses were usually of the type an exaggerated prediction would not hurt them.

But this time we talk about a company that seems specialized in telling others where to invest. So if Bitcoin will not have a great performance (not necessarily 27k, but still has to be more than just big) then this prediction could hurt their business.
As I said: interesting!
9477  Economy / Economics / Re: $900K worth of counterfeit U.S. currency seized on: January 31, 2020, 08:45:06 AM
I mean, even if those 900,000$ got into the US, it won't change shit. There's so much of legit and counterfeit money  mixed up in the US

The quality of the counterfeit money is important too. The ones with poor quality are easily found and removed.
However, I've searched and it seems that there are about 11.7 Billion one dollar bills. So there's quite a quantity there and 900k can be easily mixed/lost there.

And the person who probably tried to get counterfeit from China, it would probably be some mid-tier drug dealer who just wants more money to make and sell drugs. ¯\_( ツ )_/¯

Umm.. I think that a drug dealer would work with bigger bills. At least 20$. I mean that 1$ is small...
Edit: an idea would be that he'll give them as change to the junkies  Grin (although that could be bad for the business)

9479  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum - Privacy issue (Windows) on: January 30, 2020, 03:46:44 PM
I haven't checked yet for the W10.

On Windows 10 the tray icon seems to go away as soon as I close Electrum. But I use the portable exe... Is the other one installing some sort of agent for faster start?!
Indeed it's an unnecessary info on the tray icon, which causes more trouble than help.

I just tested, it shows the balance of the latest opened wallet, so you can just open some empty dummy wallet before closing Electrum to show zero balance. Though I don't know if its possible to recover the previous Electrum labels if you dig through some system files.

I believe that the tray icon is not intended to be there after closing Electrum and it may be just something hanging in the app when it should close.
9480  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 3 Reasons You Need to Own a Crypto Card in 2020 on: January 30, 2020, 02:32:24 PM
And indeed, the last is the Forex fee, which I think they're bigger than all the other fees combined. And since I'm not in an EuroZone country this "hurts".

I seriously don't understand how you can deal with that.
After that ATM experience in Hungary, I've avoided playing with their card that we should not name here  Cheesy outside the eurozone.

I don't. I did in the past, but now I have better alternatives and I use them.
In the last year+ I've used that "card that we should not name here" 99% for Euro transactions (purchases over internet or when I've been traveling).
