9461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What else after this massive dip ? on: February 08, 2018, 06:17:12 AM
Hello everyone
Crypto markets are currently under huge downtrend after a glorious 2017 ear. Some of you consider that it's a healthy correction but others don't think so.
Bad news never stop coming since a while talking about an eventual crypto ban from Asian authorities. What do you think about crypto world ? Is it still meriting the worth to invest into
crypto currencies ?

Can't believe that just because the market is currently experiencing a downtrend, questions like "is it still worth it" arise. I mean, why? how come? doesn't it really make sense?

Remember the bitcoin price back then? Bitcoin at $5,000 is still way better compare to bitcoin at $1,000. By looking at the bottom price it established nowadays, still way decent compare to previous lows. How come people will just made a conclusion of this downtrend. Clearly all they know is just "moving up" and disregarding all things associated while price is climbing.

If that's the case then putting money on crypto is not suitable for them.
your right mate,i dont know why this people are questioning the price now as dip, when compared to last years price same months is much bigger the price today.they only added more pressure to the holder to panic..not because the price on the last quarter of 2017 grows hugely doesnt mean bitcoin cant go back to its lower price.dont participate in bitcoin if youre not ready for this
9462  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is a whale? on: February 08, 2018, 05:57:37 AM
What is your definition of a whale?

A bitcoin whale is generally a person who holds a huge amount of bitcoins in their wallet. And it those whales let say sold a huge chunk of bitcoin, it could have some effect on the price. I think they also manipulate the price from behind using this method. I also believed that this maybe a individual or a group of persons or even a company. So basically they are market movers because of their influence on the price.

How many BTCs do you need to have to be a whale?

It depends. Once individual can owns 1000 btc and can be called a mini-whale. And also there are dolphins as well. But those group of person who holds around 10000 or more can be definitely called a whaler. And I think early adopters of bitcoin has literally thousands of btc as well so they can categorically can be called as whale as well.
this is the most consistent answer among those, whaler must have 10,000 bitcoin to be categorized..this users manipulating the market so the pumps and dumps happens.they are the responsible of what is happening in this community.
9463  Economy / Speculation / Re: IT'S TIME TO BUY BITCOIN ?? I SAY YESSSS on: February 08, 2018, 05:24:50 AM
Bitcoin has recovered a bit since yesterday, bounce back after hit $6K. It's not just you, big investors, whales, traders are happy now, they can buy bitcoin at a cheaper price and dump it at the peak again. The cycle will always repeat. Without scale solution that really works to support bitcoin community, it can't go anywhere but stuck at a point. However, if you just want to buy bitcoin in order to make profits by the end of the day, consider current price as a big discount before next bulls run.
i guess this is not helping the bitcoin community but only those whales.theyre the one responsible for the dumps and pumps of market.while we are just a passenger of train that need to ride when they are going to run..looks what happen day ago about the Ecoin, while all of coins are bleeding together with bitcoin offourse, this only coin pumps upto x950% is that normal?lol
9464  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have a future? on: February 08, 2018, 03:51:32 AM
if I see bitcoin prices today I think the future of bitcoin is not good, I hesitate to hold the bitcoin I have because the price continues to decline and bitcoin prices this year is very low compared to last year
then sell your coins,no ones forcing you to hold.and besides we dont need weaker hands here.your the reason why fuds are going success.you all have only here because of easy money, earning without capital because of joining signature campaigns and now acting as a holder.lol

If you ask me this same question 6 months before then I say yes bitcoin have a great future in the crypto market field. But in this situation giving a perfect speculation is really hard for me. But as a bitcoiner, I still hope bitcoin had a great future.
your word is contradicting why not just say i wll hold for 6 months because i see future of bitcoin from then
9465  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's speculate; Top 10 in Market Cap on Dec 31, 2018 on: February 08, 2018, 03:37:49 AM
I'm thinking this is how the top 10 in market cap will look at the end of Dec 31, 2018;

1.) Bitcoin
2.) Ethereum
3.) NEO
4.) Bitcoin Cash
5.) Cardano ADA
6.) XRP
7.) Stellar XLM
8.) NEM
9.) IOTA
10.) EOS

What about you?

Mostly I'm in agreement and don't think we'll see much change. I think ETH will be no 1 with bitcoin no 2. I also think we'll see some new unexpected blockchain up there, ArcBlock would be my pick. Some other financial based crypto can probably make a play for top 10 also but at the expense of what coins I do not know. I suspect one of XLM or XRP will drop out of the top 10. Bitcoin Cash could also fall out if LN can make it redundant.

You think LN will come online in 2018?  ...It would be very nice if so!

ETH @ #1 sounds possible, however every time I hear about crypto on the news radio in the shower in the morning the only currencies they've listed are; BTC, LTC, & XRP
But if ETH can be that popular to be #1 it would be great!

I really wish I was able to make Arcblocks ICO - I missed it by an hour or two  Undecided
this is speculation section, not magical section lol..ethereum as number 1 coins followed by bitcoin?in your dreams maybe its possible, but in reality will never..i believe in ethereum i had invested 1/4 of my funds on it but i dont see this thing will happen.not in the next five years..in future well lets wait and see what will happen but for now, dont be impossible guys
9466  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dropping again like a stone on: February 08, 2018, 03:08:21 AM
This is too much now.  For a few hours it was up and up.  And now down down down.  I was hoping for the sake of people who have bought in it would be a good price for them to sell and make a profit in a while.  But no  now down again.  What I think is this.  People have bought and paid money in.  And Then whales have come along and taken the lot.  It's wrong.
what kind of people is this one?nervous type or just weaker hands, stop acting as if your concern but the truth is your not.you only making the issue worst, coz if you are, then keep silent stop crying like a cow, instead read about the real happening.
I don't routinely watch news, but I have noticed that CNBC is joining the big unlubricated crypto gangrape by quoting Goldman Sachs, who said most cryptos are going to go to zero and that they have no intrinsic value.   Those things may well be true, but I'm starting to feel the vibe go bearish.

I'm interested to see if we can rebound from this.  I'm hoping bitcoin itself does--everything else can go gargle a dong for all I care.
know what is great thing to do?stop watching news totally so you will not feel such vibes
9467  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need regulations? on: February 08, 2018, 02:25:34 AM
Yes we will still have the free market with regulations. When they say about the regulations then they literally mean that it’s use and the way it is exchanged should be regulated. On top of this, they also mean that every transaction should be taxed small or big doesn’t matter. This way they will give it format of fiat only which works almost the same manner but they will also keep it decentralised, the principle on which it works. Obviously if that one taken out then it will never work.
and i see this things more appropriate to do.for the government stops bugging this community.all the government needs is to have some share for every  profit that we are having, the taxation is required for every individual that is believing in their country.so lets wait what will the management and the mods about this
9468  Economy / Economics / Re: what benefits you've got from bitcoin in 2017 on: February 08, 2018, 02:16:00 AM
The only benefit i had in 2017 is to have a lot of profit trading Bitcoin to alts and selling them, i had a lot of profit last year especially during December. Now i am just investing my cash out Bitcoins in investing in some business here in my area like computer shop and restaurant. Now while Bitcoin is down i can focus more in my Business.
all of the above post is benefits from EARNINGS,does anyone care to share some benefits about mental, emotional or even spiritual?for me now bitcoin is giving me much love, because everytime i saw my family is being happy for what im giving them.wealth and bonding givesme the feeling of contentment..and being thankful to Gos for what he has given unto me
9469  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is recovering? on: February 08, 2018, 01:25:08 AM
Price is showing a positive spike!
yes recovering at the same time dropping lol.market only gives us green for how many hours again just like what happen few days ago..and now starting to color it red for the second time,is this some kind of ferries wheel?that what comes up goes down and vise versa?maybe what is better not to expect this whole February.lets check for march
9470  Economy / Economics / Re: until when will the bounty program remain? on: February 07, 2018, 03:13:30 PM
Over the years there have been a lot of crypto-based-based projects where the business owners offer shares in the form of coins they produce with different kinds of promotions including bounty programs, until when will the gift program remain?

I think this isn't a gift but a job rather. They benefit also because of our participation, they need us and we need them also. I believe these bounty programs will last as long as we have internet to access it. As we can see, these projects is a form of advertisement, with our cooperation we advertise their product or project. Hence, they can also gain money.
thats it,why consider as gift this bounty when the participants are working to gain tokens that mostly turns out as scam, and most of it if may not scam has lower value when comes to our wallets..working 10-40 post a week and this is not for free.this profiteering will be here until the users support their projects.as long as many people believing in those promises.this will remain
9471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is in danger? on: February 07, 2018, 02:38:55 PM
That is quite normal my friend, there will be days of downtrend for ethereum while bitcoin will be going up, that is the nature of crypto. Bitcoin can start to go up tomorrow or in two months, nobody knows. The fact is that it is impossibly to go up all time.
and its imposible too for ethereum to grow up than bitcoin.so if theres in danger all the time it is ethereum not bitcoin, because nonone knows one day bitcoin will eat Ethereum to death lol..

And one thing more,be aware if bitcoin comes in danger because the next after that ethereum and all altcoin will be in danger too.look at the market now,if bitcoin grow everything grows with him too
9472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Asking if Bitcoin is Dead on: February 07, 2018, 02:11:31 PM
On one hand it is comical on the other had annoying.
All the people that the last month have come out of the woodwork asking about bitcoin, ethereum and ripple are now blowing me up asking me if I get out before it was too late....lol
Forget about those people who are talking to you that way. They know nothing about cryptocurrency and they are all talk. They want not only you but majority to get out of it quickly so that they can spread panic and fear to all the holders. And by just lurking to different boards and sections of this forum you can see many posts that are talking that way.
and most of thay users are trolls, that no other intentions but to make panic for the holders to sell for the market to drop.so when the price goes down on their target value.they will buy more coins and wait for growth and boom.instant money this person has no heart for others but only for themelves.
9473  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading? on: February 07, 2018, 01:50:47 PM
I lose some and win some in trading and yes get disappointed at times but then realized that because I am not that experienced yet then I have to learn my lesson the hard way. There are times that I wanted to give up when I have a major loss but then when I see other successful traders, it gives me hope that someday I will be like them or just half of what they achieved because they also have stories to tell that made them that successful.
disappointment is a natural behavior of every individual, since no perfect thing in this world in all situation that we will be involving some of those will disappoint you..just like in trading because no one can tell what would be moving up,or down but what matters is the way we will facing this happenings..and i know for sure all of us traders from newbie trader to expert trader all experienced the same feeling.so dont be sad this will make you knowledgeable in this field
9474  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to preditct coin price? on: February 07, 2018, 01:37:28 PM
I usually predict the price of coin that I will buy from the news development and from the graphs in the coin, from the graphs is very clear how the development of the coin is good or not and very useful or not, it is very helpful for you to determine the price increase coin want you to buy.
but nor because the graph is good, means the coin will grow at the time of buying,as we can see no consistency about the market flow.so what will happen is movement is good as you watch, but will fall as you buy.trading has a part of gambling, you must gamble to learn what will happen.so theres no perfect prediction about prices.thats reality
9475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it chance to jump in? on: February 07, 2018, 01:27:27 PM
the market is down now. Coins are cheap now. Do you think it's time to jump in now, or we can wait for lower price?
you should by now,or else the recovery of all coins will hold you from getting richer.look at market now all greens meaninh this is the start of recovery..and dont just jump instead jump and jump to make big profit.i have bought more as i can.almost my funds is in crypto now, because ive been waiting for this
9476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leave full time office job to trade crypto? on: February 07, 2018, 09:26:42 AM
i quit my day job as an accountant. so far, crypto has been good to me. lately i've been seeing blood everywhere and it gives me a good deal of a heartache since i am just new in trading. any advice you can give guys? should i just go back to being an accountant or pure crypto or maybe both?
you just made a foolish decision, quitting being accountant just to be here?and now just because you've seeing bloody market youre crying for advice?you should have asked us before you decide to leave a great work to focus here,i have a work in a government but i never have even a single thought of doing that action.because i love my family and i dont want to spare everything for this forum,,though this gives me go profit im still relying in real life, not in virtual
9477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling ends on: February 07, 2018, 09:06:34 AM
can this world stop in gambling?
someone who like to gamble hard to escape from the gambling trap. almost like a drug addict. Even after they went bankrupt still struggling to gamble by borrowing money for gambling. Actually what do they expect?

Gambling can't be stopped. There are a lot of people who sees this gambling as a habit, you know, they need to gamble for a day because if they don't, they're day will not be completed. I don't know why would someone will be addicted to this kind of game where you waste your money, relying into your luck.

These are typical gamblers and already they have spend a long life in gambling that's why they can't escape from gambling. We can call them they are addicted gamblers. If we play gambling continuously and without manage our money then gambling become for us addiction like a drug addiction, then we can do anything but we can't change our habits.
every addiction has a cure,so dont say that they cant change their habits, and we cant say HABITS if your an addict because its a two different thing, addict cant control himself from doing such, while habits are onky there if we need sometimes.

Your right that they are same, drug or gambling when comes to addictions.but they are curable if they will only participate,or much better if they will be in rehabilitation facilities when professional will handle them for good
9478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: February 07, 2018, 08:54:51 AM
There is no mathematical formula to figure out how to win at any gambling game.
If there was then we would of been using it and already millionaires from the casinos being bankrupt by now. Cheesy

Only thing which I can related to maths with gambling is that stringer your maths the calculation in some of the games require would be on your fingertips quickly and thus may have an some sort of edge overs others. Rest it would not matter much as rightly said that by now all the casinos would have to shut down as they would be bankrupt.

well what youre saying is a skill, perfect estimation of finger tips to edge over others, this is used most of the time in actual card games, but if your playing online this has no effect since only mind and eyes has a connection and our finger is only for final blow.

I guess before we leard to use math over gambling site, the developers and the creators of the games anticipated every angle of possibilities in regard to calculations,so math cant help us winning here
9479  Economy / Economics / Re: We need to do something about all the scams on: February 07, 2018, 06:55:00 AM
Wow thanks for bringing that up and now that I think about it I went in on a token similar to this one without giving it much thought. They were a well established company in real life but no blockchain experience and that was my mistake getting involved like that. Keep up the awesome work we need more heroes like you! Kiss
this is one best thread for all of users, those who was victimized of scammers, and those who will be a prospect to be victim.this thread will be filled of many accusations and complaints about their experiences together with the possible scam ico.thanks for bringing something like this OP,i hope you will be transparent in every cases might bring here, and wont favor someone or anyone in exchanged for something
9480  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's price is so volatile right now! Why should I even hold? on: February 07, 2018, 06:06:42 AM
With the price of Bitcoin being so volatile should we ever consider buying or even holding if we have bitcoins?

What are your thoughts??? What should we do??

As it stands today at this moment, the Bitcoin volatility index reads:
4.57% the latest 30-day volatility estimate
3.54% the latest 60-day volatility estimate

The bitcoin volatility index for present day can be seen at: https://btcvol.info/

My opinion of bitcoin longterm can be investigated here in this post titled "Hacks & puppets & forks - how to destroy bitcoin": https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1834310.0
Bitcoin is already famous for its volatility. But not that much like altcoins.Just hold your bitcoins.Very soon, you will reap benefits.Holding bitcoin in long term would be beneficial than short term.
if the OP listen to your advice, hes a rich man by december last year, because of the pump bitcoin has made, hitting almost $20,000 ,but today ofcourse it drop high too.and everyon is tense upon waiting what will be the price for tomorrow, will it pump or another dump.no one knows so lets see
