I don't think Spain is doing very well. They are performing average quality. Italy's squad is much more experienced than Spain's and they are almost irresistible. Spain's win against Switzerland was almost uncertain. In the match between Italy and Spain, I will definitely put Italy ahead.
I don't know how possible it is that a team that's not doing well are in the semis of the tournament, just making it this far is an achievement in itself and Spain deserve all the credit they can get, they have been playing good attacking football in my opinion and I believe their attack can cause Italy problems. And it will come at some stage that they geat beaten by a other team for the Champion. But I agree with that statement, in other big leagues it is very rare for a team to let their best player go to their toughest competitor. In the Bundesliga, the best team is Bayern Munich and of course Dortmund is the toughest competitor, the concern is about the best player born in Dortmund but in the end the player was brought to Bayern Munich. This case has happened a lot in both teams and I think it's a shame, where players are improving their performance and then moving to rival teams and even, some of them return to their previous team (Dortmund) because or after their performance has decreased. Therefore, I think in the quarter-finals there may be changes that make the game more careful and defensive, who knows. I thought the same about the Last 16 too if we are being honest,,, and yet we got so surprised and saw an amazing number of goals even in regular time (not counting extra time) I believe the average was above 2.5 which is impossible to get even in normal leagues. Rewards for offensive I hope but they will look at Spain and France and realize 2 goals cushion is NOT enough.
