Nothing new, this has been known for some years now. Most of the financial institutions and governments have openly admitted that they don't care about Bitcoin as coin. They just look for ways to incorporate the blockchain in their daily operations. That's why they hire the best people to investigate and research the blockchain thoroughly.

It might take a while before we can say goodbye to the $3XX price levels. Every attempt to come even close to $400 gets dumped back directly. It will, eventually. I think this month we will remain just under $400. March is the month where I see some upwards movement.
I am kinda on the same road as you are. I hope March will be a bit more positive for the price.

And the market price is back to the lower $370's which was totally predictable. Good for short term traders that are looking for some quick profits.

The price has gone up to $390. A few days ago, it was just $360. The price is so volatile. Is there any good news?
No news. Why do people expect the Bitcoin price still to be affected by good news? The market is still at the same place it was some weeks ago. Which is still below $400, and thus there is no real gain.

My guess is that, since the EU is not about to end Bitcoin anonymity (how could they?) - there'll be no impact on price.
not to mention that the market right now it's not exactly populated by the so called average joe, but more by manipulators, and people that will buy bitcoin no matter what... It might even make Bitcoin a bit more popular by the average joe now Bitcoin is being "less anonymous" and thus less "shady". Their worry is that Bitcoin's "anonymity" is the reason why so many criminals are using it. Perhaps their view on this might change due to this "news". Who knows. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

There is a waving coming, but i expect it to go down, instead of going up it is going down.
Too bad we will not see a 500 USD spike.
Price is more volatile these days and we are seeing alternative pump and dump every week. If there will be another pump like happened recently 500 mark is nothing to get passed. The price is lower than $400 for some time. So there is no alternative pump and dump every week recently. But we will see. best week for trader i'd say, you can make profit in short term easily because this event, incase if you had good instinct Soon we can't expect. Recently only one day user got good value back. Suddenly it rose to 424$. who sold at that time got little profit, also the price fall down suddenly to 390$ in a short time. these days it won't happen again The timing of buying and selling is too difficult to find. I seldom buy low and sell high. When I sell, the price will usually go higher. When you sell and the price goes higher it means you are selling too early because you are affraid the price will go down again, or you just don't know much about the market.

Nothing special. It's just the same old up and down market reaction that we are seeing for such a long time. Good for day traders, not interesting for long term holders.

I think there's much more room to go, we will retrace up high till 700$ this year and see if we can go to new highs in the future
Long term, sure. But at this point I am not buying the mini "pump" to $390 as we will most likely end up staying below $400 for a few more weeks (if not longer).

What a worthless article. Bitcoin price will not be affected by this at all. There is already no anonymity when it comes to Bitcoin. Simply use a Bitcoin mixer and everything will be just fine. I do this already for a few years.

$55 mio pumped directly to some core devs. the very heart of bitcoin. is this good for the price of bitcoin?
I have been reading the article from coindesk about this $55 million investment, but I can't find anything about that the money is going to core devs....?? http://www.coindesk.com/blockstream-55-million-series-a/

I have never Satoshi's left on an exchange because when I withdraw my coins, I withdraw my entire balance. It's very simple, isn't it?

Any idea for the reason for the recent drop of bitcoin price?
IMO, this is just a trap by trader, they want bought bitcoin in the cheap price so don't be scared with this situation 2-3 month again price will rise much. Yes I think so too. The price will rise soon. So that is now good to buy Bitcoins now. Because if you buy now you can have some profit later. You just need to wait and see. I don't think so. I think the price is down a bit because of the frightening aspect of the divisions inside the dev team. So investors don't have the time to dig in order to see if it's serious, they're just frightened by all the noise around it so they're no longer investing. Once the issue is resolve it will go up again (I hope). The Core team is quite adament in the block size increase schedule. They like to implement SegWit. But I think it is too risky. And the whales are just waiting for the price to go down further so they can buy more bitcoins. They're bringing in their money in altcoins for now. Whales are not the kind of traders who are waiting for action. They are moving the markets and create action whenever they so wish.

The price will basically never go to $0 as Bitcoin enjoys too much support worldwide. Even if Bitcoin gets useless, and the current top exchanges stop Bitcoin trading, then other exchanges will pop up and it will still have a value of a few bucks, if not more. It's practically impossible to see Bitcoin value go to zero.

Recently the prize has stuck on $370+ whenever it reaches $400 and it again falls to that $370 or something, just hope it rises later on this year.
This is just temporary as we have seen the same happen also when we were sitting below $300 for quite a long time. It requires some patience, but eventually we'll leave these sub $400 levels behind us.

If they are interested in long term growth, then buying at todays prices is probably the best investment you can make in years. People don't see that, they just keep staring at the price hoping it to go lower so they finally can buy. And the funny thing is..... Even if the price does go down, they will then wait again. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) #Clowns.

This is just another hopeless attempt to "prevent" something that can never be prevented. It shows how desperate the governments are. People will simply don't care about this policy if it does get implemented.

Bitcoin might not be better than Dollar.
But Bitcoins are worth more.
I think that the Dollar is better still cause it's more in use. The value of bitcoins would lower if it was a more used payment method I think the bitcoin will eventually win but it will take some years. I think it will take 10 years or something near that numbers, its difficult to say. It's not a fight.... Bitcoin and fiat currencies as the USD can perfectly function together without problems. Bitcoin is tied hard to the USD price which won't change. There are more important things to focus on.
