9581  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Q] - Air tite coin holders on: December 02, 2016, 05:10:40 PM
I need help with determining the appropriate coin holder sizes for several of my coins. The list is as follows:

2x Bitcoin Mint 2016 A:
3x We are All Satoshi Nakamoto:
1x Silver Wallet 2015:
1x Silver Wallet 2014:
1x Cryptocracy 2016:
1x Bitcoin Penny: https://thebitcoinpenny.com/collections/the-2016-collection/products/air-tite-protective-case
1x F*D 1/10 BTC 1oz Silver:
1x Shibanu Doge 2015 (which comes in a square capsule):

Would be nice if manufacturers actually shipped their coins in airtities.

Lauda doesnt the sw come with slabs? Or are you looking for round capsules?  I agree though, its nice when manufacturers ship already slabbed or in a nice capsule
9582  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will difficulty jump over 200 billion at block halving? on: December 01, 2016, 09:29:00 PM
Revisited this thread after a long time. Difficulty jumped over 200 billion at block halving. Interestingly, within a few months, difficulty is now on the verge of kissing 300 billion...

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

There is no slowing it down anytime soon, with mines with access to very little electricity costs they will just keep beefing up.  Wonder when it will actually slow down though?
9583  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: My friend and I are thinking of mining Bitcoins.... on: December 01, 2016, 09:25:26 PM
Cant judge that per day profit cause it will likely drop with every difficulty jump every 10 days until it becomes unprofitable.  If you can get the s9s i would say no dont start unless you just want to for educational purposes.  Either way good luck
9584  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Would you consider starting to mine for BTC right now? on: December 01, 2016, 09:22:49 PM
No matter how you cut it, no for the casual home miner for straight btc.  If new affordable miners come out everyone will get them, mines with insanely cheap electric will keep the home miner at bay.  With that being said i mine but you arent going to make a killing anymore.  It is fun and educational though.
9585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: December 01, 2016, 09:18:24 PM
Just want to say thanks to the people working hard on this project its appreciated.  Looking forward to step one of the intergration of game within the gaming community.  Looking forward to the future  Cheesy
9586  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I increase my limit of Trading on Poloniex?? on: December 01, 2016, 09:11:03 PM
Real simple, you want a higher limit you need to provide more personal information.  How much information you want them to have is up to you but your limits with be constricted if you limit the information you give them....question tou need to ask yourself, do you trust them?  Thats up to you
9587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal 150M Miner *****HELP*** HOW TO SETUP FOR SOLO MINING ********** on: December 01, 2016, 09:02:30 PM
Never seen these?  How have they been mining for everyone?  Whats the power draw at the wall at optimum settings?  Any info would be helpful thanks

Nevermind found the specs...but cant seem to see how much they are.  Is there any quantity discounts?
9588  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 10BTC Casascius Silver Round /w Gold B - MINT - MOST DESIRED COIN! on: December 01, 2016, 04:46:53 PM
LOL, purchase for 25 sell at a loss for 19. Now I can see how retarded you actually are. Now it makes sense that you're still trying to sling your unwanted coins for crazy amounts. You're just retarded.

This is his sales thread and everyone gets you point even though your last one is flawed.  Ive purchased btc with fiat for the sole purchase of buying physicals before. (I wouldnt have purchased the btc just to hold mind you), so if btc was $250 when he bought the cas 10, wouldve cost me $6,250....now that btc is at $750 if he sells it for 19btc, thats worth arount $14k.  Not a bad profit.. you need to know context before you make a judgement.

But again its his sale thread, you dont like his price move on, btw havent seen any for sale in the 15btc range either on here so...
9589  Economy / Digital goods / Re: $450 www.kohls.com cash - Buy it for $200 on: November 30, 2016, 04:47:44 PM
There are many good escrow options here on btctalk.  If you dont offer to use escrow you can expect to get no response.  Good luck

Real question: why do you as "a mother of 5" have no use for this gift card around christmas time?
9590  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [CALLING Current Coin Makers] How was Casascius able to make his coins so cheap? on: November 30, 2016, 05:31:09 AM
On this topic, wondering who has the best prices for custom gold and silver rounds with holograms? Would love to price some out for promos.

Golds are tough but silver....silver wallets are always a good choice and also i believe f*d has some silvers for a nice price.  I also think og has some nice silvers at a cheap price but without holos.
9591  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How was Casascius able to make his coins so cheap? on: November 30, 2016, 01:18:44 AM
Hmmmm what if the casascius hologram maker kept the dies.......most of them do for reorders.  Has mike mentioned anything about this?
9592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Differnce Between Proof of Work and Proof of Stake on: November 29, 2016, 06:17:41 PM
So actually people who have more of the coin will get more rewards by more mining. So for example if you owned 1% of all coin mined, you'd get 1% PoS blocks. Does that mean that someone with 0.00001% will never get PoS blocks and therefore never gain anything from mining it? If so, most people will bail out reducing it's price and finally killing the coin...

No you will just get (on average) the amount of staked coins available times your percentage of the total amount of coins being staked.  If you own .0001% of the total amount of coins and no one else is staking their coins, you will effectively get all of the coins available as stake rewards.  That is a key difference.  And no if you stake your coins, you should never recieve 0 return, otherwise the code is jacked and you should bail asap
9593  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Bitbill 10 BTC (loaded) on: November 29, 2016, 12:03:54 PM
This one is really rare - never heard about it before.

The original thread seems to be legit but who knows if this card is? The website of the manufacturer is gone and whoever want to buy that card has to trust you and the vanished manufacturer that there really is the correct private key under the hologram.

Well, it's a $7300 question!  Undecided

Half right.  No need to have to tryst blazed if that was the case it would be the same for casascius coins or any other physicals.

An original bitbill does have to have trust in the original manufacturer again just like any other created constructed physical with loaded value.  Would think they would have been bled already if that was going to be the case, as almost 6 years has past and havent heard of one instance.

These are a unique piece and will surely be in whatever bitcoin museum pops up if one ever does.  GL blazed, wish i had the loose funds at this time to make an offer.
9594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: A4 Dominator - Pre-Order Group Buy - 280mh, roughly 1000w, $1800 + shipping on: November 28, 2016, 11:38:37 PM
v.2.0.1 is probably for the batch 3 miners.  Just a guess.
Yes I can confirm this.. Ver 2.0.1 will not be compatible. This is what I was told from a reliable source
Anyone want to buy my set up? I am done with this. Send me PM if interested..

What?!? Even if stable im not buying these, so first people in are screwd with shotty firmware, i actually hoped there was an honest manufacturer in this field.....i wonder when this miner manufacturer madness will stop and get some decent companies on board to make some home miners again  Undecided
9595  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: escrow on: November 28, 2016, 11:29:28 PM
Whatever you do dont let the other person direct you to someone unknown to you.  Do some research here as there are a good bunch of members who have served as escrow for many trades...but in the end there is nothing from someone just up and disappearing with your btc so make sure you are comfortable with the entire transaction terms before you go through with it.  Good luck
9596  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please help me, I have questions and need advice here. on: November 28, 2016, 11:18:18 PM
Someone here can write a super long post but to not clog this thread you can start here, touches on a couple things that are important to know for someone who has no idea what it is

http://www.coindesk.com/information/what-is-bitcoin/

Why are banks concerned......that is a whole nother question.
9597  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Auctions Closed - Offers Welcome] NaTTyMiNd on: November 28, 2016, 11:13:07 PM
Is there a baseline for a "serious offer" so we don't throw one out that is too low?

Sure thing, but it's not the easiest question. To put it in perspective, the 5Btc we were asking doesn't even cover the cost to have the die made. And it takes half of that more for setting up a run of any quantity of coins through the mint.

We went through some trial and error with the glass. We had a prototype where a sample coin was blown directly into the glass but it was too risky as the silver cracked along the edges. The glass took about a month to blow once we locked down the final design.

The drawing started in April and matured the design through may and added color through June. I imagine it was 80 hours of work.

Natty i wish i could throw out a serious offer these are really nice and  should bring in a decent price.  Well done

9599  Economy / Collectibles / Re: First Ethereum Coin, Silver Cryptolator, Gold plated silver liberty mint Bitcoin on: November 28, 2016, 11:03:16 PM
Wow them eth coins going for that much?  Have not seen any comparable second hand sales on here, are you basing the value on previous sales here or just off of ebay list prices?
9600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Any alternative for Clevermining.com? on: November 27, 2016, 07:30:26 AM
Im also a scrypt miner.  Would love to hear other options as well.  What happened with clevermining?  I posted a thread and a couple people told me that clevermining was decent.  Any info would be appreciated thanks.
