961  Economy / Economics / Re: How long this crisis will be? on: March 27, 2020, 01:36:49 PM
I don't think anyone knows how long the corona virus crisis will end. But the corona virus is not the worst according to results the analysis
that I did, there is still worse is TB (Tuberculosis) where the number of victims who died more. Although the corona virus is not the worst,
we should not underestimate this virus, because as long as no vaccine has been found that can cure it. Spread will continue. I hope the
vaccine can be found soon, so the crisis can end soon.
i agree on that because based on my research too there are previous more deadly virus and disease that have also gone pandemic before but all of them luckily have been sorted out so much more of this covid when its only more of a flu like virus  ? cure for this shouldnt be hard at all to create and i heard there are now meds available that other countries give but not sure if there are vaccines  .  no one knows how long the crisis will last because the state of the covid is confusing , confusing because many are recovering but many are also still suffering and the situation gets worst on some country
it is true that there were already several cases which were almost the same as covid19 even more violent, because the death rate was greater. but this covid 19 virus has a nature that is easily spread, so that it makes a lot of people panic. usually after the change of seasons, the virus will stop by itself
962  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc going to 2k or 3k or 7k or 9k on: March 26, 2020, 04:10:20 AM
Suprisingly, the price of bitcoin is slowly increasing it's price back to $7,000 and there are a lot of theories again on what are the possible reasons why bitcoin makes a sudden change to it's value. All i know is it is a good news for everybody who have buy bitcoin in a low price and holding bitcoin for a long term.
right, many people assume bitcoin has reached a low price, so they will gradually buy it, and use it as an investment. so it triggers a rise in bitcoin at this time. besides bitcoin, gold also experienced a significant increase

963  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like.. on: March 26, 2020, 04:06:40 AM
If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like this?
China quarantined fiat FFS.
This tells me 100% BTC is only a financial purpose and not a practical purpose overall.

Just venting a little. This selloff is nuts.

There is no need to cry. People will realize sooner or later how good BTC really is. Until then we get super cheap entry prices. I am buying as much as I can, and you guys should do the same if you believe in BTC.

Good or profitable? I think that would be profitable. We all know how volatile bitcoin is; with its decentralization, a lot of people do not want to use it and accept it since there are a lot of quick changes that are happening. We can't remove the volatility of it and at times like this, people would be doing more online payment rather than offline payment though they will obviously not use bitcoin since with the dump that happened, they would rather hold it or they have no other choice but to use fiat since no one accepts it.
logical. at a time like this many people prioritize payment by transfer rather than cash. of course it is good for their health. different from bitcoin despite having a function as a digital payment instrument at first, but with high volatile, more people use it as an investment

964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins will grow in price faster if the market recovers? on: March 25, 2020, 02:57:41 AM
Actually it's saying very difficult which altcoins price will grow faster but we can guess something after checking those altcoins alvin history. Anyway you can see cmc top 10tn list their can grow at anytime.
I think it's not true that the only coins that can grow even faster will always come from the top tier coins. I have been watching the market since the dump and some coins from the medium tier of altcoins can grow even faster than the major coins. That means if that will always the major coin become the answer for the faster altcoin to be recovered from the dump.
I think even though altcoin which is probably not from the top rank can do a pump that is bigger than the major coins. but the risk of dumping is also high. besides that usually pumps on other altcoins are still preceded by bitcoins. altcoin which pump first, I guess it's still hard to predict

965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is all set to boom now... on: March 25, 2020, 02:41:33 AM
honestly if I see, news sentiment about Ethereum 2.0 does not make Ethereum strong to keep the market bullish, this is unfortunate, many people expect ethereum 2.0 will make Ethereum prices go at least $ 500, but that hope is likely to disappear, especially news about Ethereum 2.0 now haven't experienced clarity, its not a boom now  Wink
the concept of ethereum 2.0 is indeed very good and might also be able to trigger an increase in ethereum prices but until now ethereum has still not shown price increases and I am a little doubtful about the concept of ethereum 2.0 whether it can succeed or not because the enthusiasm of the people with ethereum is not too much.
It caused by the next update is getting delayed again and that makes people lose their hype for the next update that will happen on ethereum. It can succeed as long as there will be a lot of people interested to earn the interest from the ethereum network. If they are doing it and there will be a massive buy for ethereum.
although 2.0 is still pending, and we see prices don't seem to be developing much, ethereum still has the second largest market cap after bitcoin. I think with the withdrawal of 2.0, the development of ethereum will be in line with the development of bitcoin, and it looks like we have to be more patient seeing eth bombs
966  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 Increased Bitcoin Adoption on: March 25, 2020, 02:35:41 AM
Recent crises are testing the abilities of Bitcoin. The adoption of Bitcoin is increased as people are stuck at home they are looking for better solutions to transfer remittance and for purchasing.
Many countries are using blockchain technology to fight against the pandemic.
Why the price of Bitcoin is still down?
In this lockdown world, people don't want to take more risk with their money. Adoption of Bitcoin will increase after the halving. Need more time to adopt Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, when stock exchange can't recover. You can't have full access on stock exchange where, in Bitcoin you are free with your money.
We should look for more better usages of  bitcoin and not alone for investment. With crisis like this people or institutions will find alternative ways to send their money and bitcoin / crypto will be able to help the community.
Transactions especially those donations can be process using blockchain/bitcoin increase in publicity and more people to learn the available platform
that they can have even this virus was already been contained.
true, the essence of bitcoin is for digital currencies, and we should hope that this currency can be adopted en masse. while price increases are only the impact of growing demand. today many people assume that bitcoin will be adopted en masse, and switch functions as an investment tool

967  Economy / Economics / Re: The Fed Cuts Interest Rates as the Virus Spreads on: March 24, 2020, 06:41:22 AM
I hope the Federal reserve bank won't eventually lead a campaign that will collapse the reign of fiat by their calculated character to pump in more money and in turn print more money. The fight against the epidemic is more important for now.
right, the fight against the corona pandemic is now more important, the humanitarian sector is preferred. and this is done by all countries. so do not be surprised if the economy of almost all countries experienced a downturn. by cutting bank interest, it will lighten the economy basically

968  Economy / Economics / Re: Net worths if Bitcoin reaches $100,000 on: March 24, 2020, 06:34:41 AM
Haha $100K per bitcoin will not happen anytime soon as it needs significant technological development from now and major adoption curve but for fun, I have lost around 3 BTC already so as of now my current worth will be $150K as I'm just holding 1.5BTC as of now hope to reach 5 BTC within next year
besides that it needs support from various sectors so that it has a positive influence on the development of bitcoin. for example with mass adoption it will be easy to inflate the price of bitcoin, but unfortunately it is difficult to happen for the near future, given the virus outbreak this time is one factor

969  Economy / Economics / Re: Virus Bear Market? on: March 24, 2020, 06:30:52 AM
Bitcoin 30% drop was not due to corana virus but in correlation with the stock market that has been in a parabolic rise since 2008, corana virus was only the trigger and it can never be the fundamental cause of both stocks and cryptocurrency markets.
After weeks, the stock is still dumping while on the other hand Bitcoin is doing well i guess it has already decoupled from stock after Institutional pulled out and came back seeking safe haven to store their wealth.

Does it really take a virus trigger to bring the stock market to correction after its been over inflated? I thought in markets when something goes up it must come down like a roller coaster naturally like gravity without a need for the virus to do this.
but the decline and increase of course there is a reason, and because of this virus outbreak, it makes negative news that brings the market down sharply. almost all sectors experienced a decline, until some shares were temporarily closed so as not to get worse.
970  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Malaysia crypto friendly on: March 23, 2020, 05:12:22 AM
I think Malaysia has never been open to crypto before but now they want to open up the cryptocurrency business and improve their country's economy. It will definitely take time to turn it on If Malaysia launches cryptocurrency, its demand will increase and crypto will reach its peak of growth.
Crypto currencies in Asia are very open, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea and China strongly support crypto currencies, many crypto projects that were born from Asian countries, but many also ended sadly

Really!! this is exciting news for me but at the same time its sorrow matter that many projects ending sadly. Malaysia is technology more high at present stage and in future also it will lead to explore crypto.
I think the people of Malaysia are heading to developed countries, where people think in a modern way, so it is natural that they will recognize cryptocurrency to support performance in various sectors for the smooth and development of their business. I think we will be able to see it soon that more Malaysians will know crypto

971  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus/Covid 19 Impact on World Economy Hit Bitcoin on: March 23, 2020, 05:02:25 AM
I don't think that it will affect bitcoin that much because these are digital currency we are talking about, the market will surely be affected but I hope that it will not cause a chain reaction that can cause an effect in cryptocurency industry.
but as we know many people who prefer to hoard USD, we can see the effect on fiat currencies of other countries, even gold that had succeeded, became worse due to the many requests for USD. I think that although it doesn't have much effect on bitcoin, the corona effect certainly has an effect on the development of crypto

972  Economy / Economics / Re: A little good news for Asia on: March 21, 2020, 03:12:21 PM
I agree with you it just happened in Asia But I think it's great for Asia They will survive this epidemic and will not miss their economy. But with the development of the industry they will not be able to move forward because the economy will not be able to recover the market in the middle of one country if the economy of every country except Asia is disrupted.
Asian countries will survive on this pandemic and I also hope that European countries will do the same thing. This is expected after the fall there should be a bounce back. The economy of many countries in Asia will rise up again especially the developing countries. I just hope that recession is not true at the moment, I’m sure we can’t afford this one right now.
unfortunately the change of seasons is still a few months away and the spread of this virus is too fast. therefore public awareness to isolate themselves and reduce activities in my opinion is more suitable for now, so that the spread of the virus is not fast and deadly virus development

973  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: March 21, 2020, 03:08:01 PM
Other country claims to have the vaccine for this particular virus that means that this will end up sooner, the thing is that we don't know when.
That is why we don't need to lose our hopes and this crisis may over shortly if we also cooperate with what the government and WHO tell us to do.

Small business partners must also have to understand the situation. They can suffer the losses but much more losses if we continue to open without transactions happening. May we think that big business institution survives but we can't deny how much money also they lose for this time. We all are affected by this, its either small or big business groups still in the struggle.
Businesses are really struggling very hard during this time, this is an unintended incident of everyone, responsibility on this issue does not belong to any side, partners and companies will understand their common problem, they will definitely try to help each other to limit the damage during this period. Big or small losses, time will soon recover for all but if forced to operate during this time, health risks are too great, money will continue to be created if we have health but this will never mean the opposite
at times like this of course most businesses experience a setback, with the limited space for people to work, of course, makes companies unable to produce their goods, even though goods can be produced, of course it will be difficult to market. so stay afloat and hope that the plague will quickly get better

974  Economy / Economics / Re: a disease or a virus or is there business in it? on: March 21, 2020, 03:04:17 PM
I don't think they are trying their best just to profit out of it, this might not look like it the research done by many experts are done by universities, it is true that they lack funding but saying that they are profiting out of it is ridiculous. One good business flourishing right now would be online gambling because people are on their houses and they want some entertainment.

It still boils down to sheer capitalism. Capitalism has eaten deep into the society that we all have forgotten our action to humanity. A lot of businesses are suffering with this virus while some businesses would see it as an opportunity to cash out big and deliver even beyond their target for the entire year. Is it wrong, of course not so far its done within the ambits of the law. The businesses that are struggling would they have taken a different decision should the table turn, of course not because we are all driven by capitalism and nothing else.
of course we know that products are in excess of demand at a time like this, and whether that is said to be business or indeed necessity. but with so many requests, it certainly makes the price expensive and it takes a lot of people, such as basic commodities that must be available for their survival
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best time to fill the bag? on: March 20, 2020, 03:22:36 AM
Well if you have a big money you can try to invest because this is a good time to start. The price is lower than before its a good oppurtunity. Choose good coins like BTC or ETH im sure the market will recover after corona issue solve.
right, especially now that there is a bright spot about the corona vaccine. Fuji Film issues the Corona drug and the United States will release the Corona vaccine. of course if that is true, then the market will react, and that is the land to make money. therefore many people panic must be utilized to enter the market and win it

976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is it , it's the end of cryptos on: March 20, 2020, 03:19:06 AM
joy and sorrow will certainly be felt in the cryptocurrency business, but one thing is certain, that crypto will never die, we know that many exchanges are starting to trade crypto, even though only a few major coins are currently available, but I have doubts for the time when bitcoin will back to its peak

977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl altcoins or..? on: March 20, 2020, 03:15:05 AM
Holding altcoins would be better if you choose the best one. Right now I am not holding many altcoins, because I converted into Bitcoin and USDT! Right now Temtum, Blockburn, Ripple, Stellar, Energi, and some other coins are available in my Portfolio. If you want to buy and hold, then Buy BNB, ETH, XRP, and ICX! These coins have a high potential to be x3 to x5!
I think before investing you need to consider carefully because the market is now very easy to manipulate and just a bad news can cause this market to collapse. In recent times, many coins have fallen very quickly and most of it depends on the price of Bitcoin.

I not sure what the altcoin will look like in the near future, but I hope it will stabilize soon because I have a lot of different altcoins.
if bitcoin starts to improve, altcoin has hope to improve, especially if you have a lot of different altcoins that are currently held, of course, a dilemma when it will be sold now, considering the price has fallen considerably and there seems to be no choice but to hold it. although altcoin is different but still in the top ranking, I don't think there is much to worry about

978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are your safe haven now? on: March 18, 2020, 03:17:13 PM
Hey

So, since the crisis has just begun imo, which coins are you guys holding? who do you trust?

I am a proud holder of NWC, KAVA, and BAT for some time now. Or at least I wish I could say I'm proud for all them haha. Kava and Bat are testing my patience lately, but I ain't sellin'!! Time to buy more..

Whereas these NwC guys came up with a solution on how to keep HODLers in these tough times. Some sort of Holders event, exciting idea for me as a holder type of guy.

But, that's my opinion.

What about you Bitcointalk people?

What's your story?

Which coin is your safe haven?
I think the coin that is good for safe haven assets are stable coins because it is unusual for them to make huge movements like bitcoin, that is why coins like USDT coins are only good for avoiding this kind of situations like the bear market. USDT coins is just like fiat currency that it is good for making purchases through online
usdt does have more functions when under uncertain conditions like now. if we convert assets in usdt then the value of our assets will remain stable and if bought again on bitcoin, we will get more btc. therefore this stable coin is much in demand to store temporary assets
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Corona drop over or will it continue? on: March 18, 2020, 02:57:45 PM
The Corona drop isn't over,it can only be over when a cure is found out, presently so many people are dumping because if panic, that has also brought crypto down too,the Corona drop did not only affect crypto but also affected the stock market and even the oil sector, but people who have money should use this opportunity to get their best coin now while it is at the bottom.

Right, Corona effect is not over rather it is now spreading heavily all over the world. People are dumping for getting few money in hand in this bad time whether loss or profit isn't factor. I have no money in hand right now because i have invested before. By the way i am fond of gathering BTC or ETH right now for the upcoming pump.
it is good if we collect btc or eth at this time given the very cheap price, but the corona effect does not seem to end many countries are just starting to plague. therefore I also started to collect assets, but not all the capital I used, but will buy it in stages, all at the same time see the situation and conditions

980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the new method of "Initial offering" this year? on: March 18, 2020, 02:50:21 PM
Well, everyone was saying that these lending platforms were the new opportunity to earn, not so much ICO or IEO, but it was guaranteed safe and all that, lending money and earning interest.

Also a good source but this isnt a crowdfunding type where projects can generate funds. Lending is sure win to give you rewards but compared it to the profits earned from joining famous IEO on such exchange cant be compared. In terms of crowdfunding, the important one is the ability to collect funds, either by good strategy or a potential platform. IEO bring us hype, admit it, but not all listed have good platform, they are just money maker for those are investors that always participate.
true, many ieo are not very good too, even though they are listed on a large exchange, but many have a strategy to attract investors' trust, and after that there is no meaningful development. ieo is indeed safer than ico, but in its development I feel it has not yet reached its satisfying goal
