961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The European Union Wants to Identify Bitcoin Users on: January 03, 2017, 01:19:36 AM
Trying to identify Bitcoin users goes against everything it should stand for. And the government trying to do that is the same has going on a capital control process over Bitcoin. Luckily, there will always be ways of anonymizing the use of bitcoin.
962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you regret spending money on this year? on: January 02, 2017, 10:07:45 PM
I was holding a good number of coins in the beginning of 2016. Unfortunately, I had some financial issues to solve and saw myself forced to sell most of them. Now, when I look back and think that I've sold them at less than the half of the current price it even brakes my heart :\

969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happen with bitcoin after not mineable? on: October 25, 2016, 07:02:51 PM

When all the blocks are mined, how should a new one be found?

Miners can always mine blocks, even after the block reward becomes zero. The number of blocks that can be mined is not limited - what is limited is just the number of blocks with rewards.

Exactly; the protocol will be the same. A transaction is only confirmed when it is included in a block and verified by the network. Technically, mining will never end because it represents the network ability to verify and maintain the bitcoin blockchain database.

However, there is something that still puzzles me. For now, the protocol says that new coins are created, but who get's the fees? where are they going? I've always thought that the fees were gathered to represent the new coins issued? But am I right about this?

what happen with bitcoin after not mineable?
miner will stop his mining activity ? then how to make bitcoin network strongest ?
and how about the price of bitcoin ?

If there isn't any miner mining then it means that the network will be shut down or on the idle mode, no transaction can be confirmed.

How can a Hero Member say that?
They will still earn money because of the fees and of course the fees will be more higher in the future, so it pays off the halving difference...

People didn't understand me, or I wasn't able to write exactly what I wanted to say, I know that they earn from the transaction fees but my concern was that if there is block mined means that the number unconfirmed transaction will become a mess.
Exactly, I got your point, dude. Because the miners are always confirming every transaction are running onto the blockchain, and a lot of the transaction of I think all of the transaction will not get a confirmatio

Why a lot of transactions will not be confirmed?
Well, nowadays if you put a very small fee, it will never be confirmed... In the future we will just need to put a higher fee, if the number of transactions increase, of course...

In the future, we will need to increase the block size (Satoshi himself already proposed this) and there's no other viable option apart from increasing the transaction fees. If the block size doesn´t increase, the cost of transactions will become unbearable and then the bitcoin network will no longer be feasible

1. mining ends in 21XX but technically mining will still go on and miners will still be rewarded by their participation. How? Well, miners are the ones verifying transactions and will need to keep doing that, and as so they will keep the fees that every transaction has to pay. Miners will continue to secure and protect the network and in return, they will have the transaction fees distributed among them. I think this answers to your 2nd and 3rd question.

2. As for the price of Bitcoin... well that is another story. Nobody can say for sure what will be the price of bitcoin when mining ends in more than 100 years from now. No one even knows if bitcoin will still be here.

In fact... I seriously doubt that the human race will still roam the earth by that time...
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: October 17, 2016, 07:45:06 PM
Bitcoin is actually quite strong. That's why a lot of security solutions are being developed using the blockchain. However, security is the old debate, pretty much like the  old cliché of the cat chasing the mouse... it will only be good until it is no good...
973  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fortunejack is down? on: August 12, 2016, 02:18:34 PM
I think that your computer has got virus, as just now i have participated in a poker tournament and i am able to login the site and it is working very fine. Just check with your computer settings if their is any problem. The site is working perfect.

I actually don't think it is a virus... The thing is if I keep my usual IP it gives me back the same error, However, if I change my Ip address I can access the site with no problems...
974  Economy / Gambling / Fortunejack is down? on: August 12, 2016, 01:36:55 PM
Hi guys.

Hey what's happening with the site? Are they being attacked? I can't access the site, when I try to access it, I come to a page that says that says that the connection is not private and the attackers could be tracking your information.

It gives back the error:
NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

Is this happening to you all as well?

978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling worth to try for newbie? on: July 28, 2016, 09:32:31 PM
yes you should try to gamble. If you are good at it, you will make a lot of bitcoin. My advice is to try out the various poker rooms. If you have some poker skills you can make a lot of money

I don't actually understand why the need for Ethereum classic ETC... I know things haven't been too great for Ethererum because of the DAO issue, but I dont see the point for one more ETH... It will probably weaken both
