I do not believe that the intrinsic value of BTC will likely be $2000 by the end of 2015, but I see pretty significant divergences between my perception of value and the market's interpretation, i.e. price.
Right now, I believe price is less than value. When it corrects, it tends to overshoot. So I wouldn't rule out a price of $2000 by the end of 2015. By my calculations, which are subject to change pending adoption and transactions, a value of $2000 would probably take place sometime in 2017 or 2018.
That still makes a $475 bitcoin a pretty damn good investment. Where else might you see a 400%+ return in 3 or 4 years?h

I think the rise in price is due to everyone being bullish all the sudden and convincing eachother that a new rally is about to start. Maybe we'll go to $400 but I don't see us going much higher

Be aware that bitcoin can go anywhere the heavy weights want to take it. You could invest in legitimate projects while doing your own research and analysis of the merits of such investment if you want to maximize your profit. Holding 120 btc is better than 100, and 200 would be even better.
Plan carefully, find legitimate partners.

I think there are a few potential quick run-up catalysts out there as noted (and some we haven't noted: wall st, the right sort of financial crisis), but it doesn't really have to go in these bursts. Maybe it won't anymore. In any event, the market-cap of bitcoin in the $5B range is silly small compared to any relevant metric: various equities market caps, M2 money supplies of various nations and what level of GDP they support, precious metals markets, "off-shored" cash holdings, etc. I don't think we necessarily need to clearly see any bubble catalysts (these things are often unpredictable events anyway) to be content in long term positions, as long as bitcoin continues to garner interest and infrastructure development.
