Sunday's transfer gossip:

Barcelona still want to sign Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva and Manchester City would be prepared to let the 28-year-old, whose contract expires in June 2025, leave for 65m euros (£57.5m). Is Bernardo Silva the right solution for Barcelona and is this price realistic? Can Barcelona, given their financial difficulties, afford Bernardo Silva?
Man City will look to bring in Croatia defender Josko Gvardiol, 21, from RB Leipzig if they sell 28-year-old Spain defender Aymeric Laporte, who is attracting interest from Paris St-Germain. Allegedly, Josko Gvardiol will become the most expensive defender in the history of football, with a price of more than 100 million euros. Can any other club pay such a price for a defender?
Tottenham want at least £100m if they are to sell 29-year-old England striker Harry Kane, who has 15 months left on his Spurs contract, this summer. This saga around Kana has really been going on for a long time, several years. Will he eventually leave or not? Kane clearly wants to go to a club where he will start winning trophies, but the question is who can pay that price for him.
Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong is wanted by Manchester United but the 25-year-old is not looking to leave Barcelona. Barcelona already wanted to get rid of Jong, but he really showed great determination and will to stay. Will he finally earn the trust of the club and stay?

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/64841748
If they didn't sign him because Frankie De Jong decided to stay then it is likely not to happen in the summer too because Frankie De Jong is still staying except Barcelona will decide to offload some players at the end of the season to raise funds and create space in the team for additions. IMO £57 million is not too big for a player who is performing so well and will definitely improve Barcelona's squad.

Let's see what will happen in that game, Liverpool winning Manchester United 7-0 doesn't me they can win Real Madrid with that big margin, Real Madrid are not in good form this season but when it comes to the champions League they top up their performance, Liverpool are getting their self back, in terms of their performance, I believe they are going to win Real Madrid but is not going to be an easy game for them. They have to put on that performance they put on against Manchester United for them to win Real Madrid.
At least with yesterday's victory over Manchester United it can add to their confidence and mentality in the second leg later when they meet Real Madrid, I know with an aggregate of 2-5 it is very difficult for Liverpool to win it but anything can happen if Liverpool's players have good faith high then I make sure Klopp's team must be able to win 3 goals without reply so that they have a long extra time.

Indeed, for Real madrid in the Champions League and in LaLiga it was different, but that's what I said maybe a lot of people thought that Liverpool would be eliminated but I believe that even if there is a small chance for Liverpool there is still hope.
Liverpool shocked the world with a tremendous performance against Manchester United yesterday but against Real Madrid, I believe it will be a whole different task from playing against United because when you come to the Champions league Real Madrid are at their best performance. Liverpool might put up a good performance but being 3 goals down will be a tough one to come back from against Real Madrid so I think it is almost impossible for Liverpool to qualify.
963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 06, 2023, 07:33:29 PM
The Betis v Real Madrid match ended just as I expected. Betis really made difficulties for them. They also got really big opportunities to score. Especially Iglesias couldn't benefit from a one-on-one against Courtois. Real Madrid also found so many opportunities. Valverde's rockets were impressive as usual but no goal. Rodrygo also wasted a huge opportunity by the way. Benzema could have scored a very impressive goal by a free-kick actually. But as the ball hit Rudiger's hand it was disallowed unfortunately.

This result just helped Barcelona consolidate their lead that's all. From now on I don't know how much Ancelotti can motivate his players for the La Liga title.
Real Madrid have not being doing so well in the league this season, maybe Ancelloti is not so interested in investing so much energy in the league trophy this season. Against Real Betis I expected better from Real Madrid to try and close the gap from Barcelona but they failed and Barcelona increased the gap to 9 points.

Sorry that your friend and cousin are in critical medical conditions.  I wish them speedy recovery, I have learnt that good health is highly underrated. You did a good thing OP, I know it’s not easy to let go of an investment you have been saving for so long but I believe it was worth. Money come and go, at the end of the day it’s the people we love that really matters.

PSG manager, Christophe Galtier, has recently announced that Neymar will be missing the second leg of their Champions League match against Bayern Munich. It's a disappointment news for PSG. Bayern Munich is a tough opponent, and they are already ahead in the first leg. It's unfortunate to see Neymar absent yet again due to his injury. It seems like injuries have significantly affected Neymar's career. Despite this, I truly love Neymar's presence on the field. I hope that Messi and Mbappe can step up in his absence and make a difference, or else it will be very challenging for PSG. Summarizing their recent performance against Nantes, Messi and Mbappe seemed to work better without Neymar. Therefore, I believe their chances of beating Bayern will significantly improve. But, rest we'll see.
It is so disappointing that at this crucial time PSG will be facing Bayern Munich for the second leg tie without Neymar in their attack but despite his absence I am trusting Kylian Mbappe and Messi to lead the team in a quest for victory and qualification against Bayern Munich. It will definitely not be an easy but PSG are capable of causing Bayern Munich's defense much problems.

Modric and Kroos don't seem to have a bright future at Real Madrid anymore. Real Madrid are renovating their midfield with younger players and the next candidate for it is Jude Bellingham as you know.

We still don't know what Bellingham's final decision will be though. But he has been leaning towards a deal for Real Madrid instead of Liverpool or any other team. This is obviously a big advantage for Real Madrid. I don't think his father can convince him to sign for Liverpool instead. Especially while Liverpool are having a horrible season it isn't very possible. They won't even be able to qualify for the Champions League seemingly. If Real Madrid add him to the squad I expect them to part ways with at least one of Modric - Kroos duo.
Modric and Kroos have been part of the outstanding midfield trio for Real Madrid in the last couple of years but now they are aged and no longer efficient as before. On the bright side, I’m glad Real Madrid sees this as an opportunity to bring in young players to replace them when they leave. Jude Bellingham happens to be one of the young good prospects Madrid are looking to recruit for the next season. Although Jude Bellingham seems to be a priority for Liverpool in the summer, Madrid will need to do some lobbying for him to accept a switch to Real Madrid.

I don't know what to think of Real Madrid after they lost the last Elclassico with Barcelona but looking at the first and second leg, I think it's a settled match since Real Madrid won the first leg while Barcelona won the second leg both away matches, how hilarious this turned out.
Real Madrid should be able to win against Betis because Fekir would be absent in that match and looking at their recent matches, they are lagging behind and that should secure 3 point for Madrid if they are serious. However, the question is, will Barcelona afloat in one place to see Real Madrid comes close to them, they will likely win Valencia even as their good squad is injured.
I was very disappointed with the result, for years Madrid have shown strength in every El Classico game but this season has been different and it is so hard for me to digest the fact that Chelsea have lost thrice to Barcelona this season. This will surely have a negative effect on the league trophy race this season, we just have to accept the fact that Barcelona will be champions this season.

Girona had possession of the ball 61% but they could not win. Girona lost this match due to a barrage performance in the first half and mistakes by the defenders. They conceded a goal in 2 minutes of the first half. And Enes Unal scored his second goal from the penalty spot in the 14th minute. Getafe led 3-0 at the end of the first half. They secured the win after leading 3-0 in the first half. Girona's performance in the second half, however, was quite good. He managed to score two goals. Unal and Mayoral performed well in this match.
I’m not a fan of that style of football where you get to hold possession for 90minutes and fail to create chances and convert them to get goals. What is the need when of having possession when you cannot be creative to get goals and that was what happened to Girona. It is really disappointing to watch a team play most part of the game and still lose.

Several years ago Klopp has been create one of the most dangerous trio in premier league with Mane, Salah and Firmino but time is change now that with the arrival of new players it makes Firmino doesn't have any places on starting lineup and Firmino knows his era has been ended with Liverpool that's why he has refuse contract proporsal from Liverpool and as Liverpool fans i would say thanks a lot to him for his contribution and during playing for Liverpool Firmino has gets several trophies such as Premier League trophy and Champion league

And now he will leave as Liverpool legend and about his new clubs currently some of Serie A teams such as Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus are interested to him so lets see which clubs will be Formino destination
It pains me to see the fantastic trio era ending, I remember the good times with Firmino, Salah and Mane for Liverpool, an attacking trio that was formidable and achieved so much for the club. If Firmino leaves at the end of the season, Salah will be the only player from the fantastic trio remaining at the club. I think with Ibrahimovic and Giroud said to be listening to offers outside, Firmino could be the perfect replacement in that position.

I can barely recognize Arsenal this season from the Arsenal from last two seasons. Arteta is doing a very good job with this team, he has changed the perception people have about the club. I thought they would flop mid way into the season but they proved me wrong. It is always a different atmosphere at the Emirates stadium this season, imagine conceding the second goal and the fans kept chanting Arsenal!! I that shows how much the fans believe in the ability of the players. I must say that I am impressed with the level at which the team has evolved.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 05, 2023, 12:08:23 PM
Real Madrid are known for come backs in the Champions league and are the team to win the most champion leagues. They are made for the champions league but I do not think they are at their strongest and beating Liverpool is not hard these days. Brighton in the Premier League recently beat them by 3 goals and Liverpool have been knocked out of every other cup competition. Real Madrid are good but they are not as good as previous seasons so if we are going to have a new winner this might be the season because Real Madrid will correct their problems at the end of the season when they can buy new players.
Real Madrid have always been impressing in the Champions league games, they could be performing bad in the la liga and put up a good show the next week in the Champions league. It just shows how much they value the Champions league trophy and this season they are doing it again. At this point, Real Madrid don't seem to have much hope of winning the la liga so all focus will be channelled to the Champions league.

The puzzle about Firmino future has finally been answered, now Firmino has decided not to renew his contract with Liverpool anymore, reportedly Firmino will leave Liverpool at the end of the season and of course this news will be bad news for liverpool fans, after losing Mane, Liverpool performance continues declining and now one of their great players will also be leaving Liverpool soon, losing Firmino will certainly have a huge impact on Salah later appearance because so far Salah has always been supported and spoiled by bait provided by Firmino and Mane.

Firmino has been a great asset for Liverpool as he never complained and is probably one of the strongest strikers when he is coming from the bench to support his team with some new ideas and fresh power. He also has a decent scoring statistic, but he is going to turn 32. It is possible that Liverpool also is looking forward to the new season and planning on making some major changes to the squad.

Time has been running by quickly and Firmino is now in his 8th year for Liverpool. I think he will still keep playing on the highest level and will have no problem finding another interesting club that is also playing Champions League. There are a coupe of clubs looking for a new striker or a strong back up striker. I don't know whether Firmino would want to serve as a back up though during his last years on the highest level.

Indeed Firmino has always been a valued asset for Liverpool in his long serving years under the club and has contributed immensely to the growth and success of the club but just as everything has a beginning so do they have an end. I read on the net today that Firmino will be leaving on a free in the summer, clearly the club is evolving so as making changes to improve the squad for the coming season, he will definitely be missed.

Seems like a bad day for Manchester City today, we know hiring Erling Haaland was not easy for any team and he is an effective player for Pep Guardiola and his team. After his shinning performance in Dortmund Manchester City won the race and successfully signed a contract with this player while he could also score 27 goals so far for Manchester City just in the premier league but now today his agent said even with the contract they have still Haaland can leave this team.
https://www.goal.com/en/news/madrid-erling-haaland-s-agent-remark-magic-spanish-club-amid-man-city-future/bltf06a2eb17e2f018b

I think Erling Haaland has always had his eyes on the bigger clubs like Real Madrid and PSG, I also feel the whole idea of joining Manchester City was influenced by his father but the good thing is he is doing so well and living his dream at Manchester City until he decides to leave.

Arsenal have an easy match at their hand hope they dont take it to likely because they can be surprised. All matches need to be taken seriously because every slip will matter until the finish. City has a hard match but with their experience they will probobly win it easily.
Arsenal's performance this season has been incredible. I’d say their game has even improved since the Manchester City defeat. I think I will be betting on Arsenal to get a easy win against Bournemouth tomorrow. For Manchester City playing against Newcastle United I'm expecting a tough and competitive game. If Manchester City draws and Arsenal wins, the point difference will be increased to eight points.

Arguably Chelsea are doing the finest business in football of recent and this would had been very visible if they had the right coach for the job which Graham Potter isn't. Even with all the calamity unfolding at the club still they're looking to hunt for talents. The moment everything starts clicking together, Chelsea will be an unstoppable force. I'm pretty sure in the summer the news we'll be getting is the appointment of a new coach that'll know how to handle the talents currently at the club.

Andrey Santos loan move to Vasco da Gama  is a good one, this move will get him more playing time and not coming to Chelsea at the moment to get beach as Graham Potter is currently doing to our new signings while he still plays the deadwood that were in the team prior to all this new signings. The man seems not to know what he's doing and that's why the team is constantly losing.
Chelsea have been excellent in their transfer businesses this year and to sum it up, finalising a deal with Benfica for Enzo Fernandez before the end of the transfer window was good business. It’s a shame to see things are still the same despite investing so much in a short time. Todd Boehly has been patient with Graham Potter but I don’t think Potter will still be Chelsea’s manager before the end of the season.

Everyone has their own version of what a merit-worthy post should be. If one person doesn’t like your post or your style of posting, others just may appreciate it. It seems Ratimov was on a merits spree today and you’re one of the lucky beneficiaries. It’s not surprising to me, accounts from my era are very familiar with Ratimov’s generosity, we have all been received merits to rank up at one point or the other. He’s been a part of our journey, little wonder why he’s so popular in the awards. Congratulations OP!

Manchester City vs Newcastle United should be an interesting game in the weekend. Recently Newcastle are experiencing a little drop in form and going up against Manchester City I expect a better performance, one better than what we have witnessed in the last two to three games. I don’t expect Manchester City to go easy as their league title chase depends on this games.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 03, 2023, 01:37:35 PM
Manchester United vs Real Betis, meaning this will be their third meeting with a team from La Liga. In the group stage they competed with Real Sociedad and had to share the victory so they had to be in the play-off round, in the play-off round they met again with the La Liga team, Barcelona and they showed a good game and managed to get rid of Barcelona. In this round of 16 their opponent is Real Betis which is a La Liga team as well. Manchester United have good experience of how they play, so they should be able to anticipate what they are going to do in this round.
Betis gonna be a hard game for united. Arsenal was lucky enough caused by it was facing weak team compared with real betis. The spanyol team can't be underestimated. I think that if MU will have been preparing fully offensive strategy to face real betis.

Barcelona already beaten by MU and that means if betis gonne be beaten by MU too. Mu have been facing la liga team a few times during the qualified group. Im sure that ten haag has been also fully analyzing the play style from betis.
Nabil fekir won't play against MU. MU can take it as an opportunity caused by nabil was a part of most important players owned by betis.

MU has been favored to win europa league. MU is also having good odds which is around 1.47 against betis.
I don't know Real Betis so well but I'm pretty sure that for them to be in the tournament at this stage then they are a strong opponent in the league. I also can’t forget Manchester United were brilliant in the playoffs and sending Barcelona packing from the tournament. Hopefully Ten Hag will show his experience tactically again when they face Betis to get a positive outcome.

A lot has been said and I agree with most of the points. Regrets are a constant in humanity, I try not worry about the things I cannot control. Your story is an interesting one, and is quite similar to newbies investing in projects without doing research or buying bitcoins without doing DCA. You didn’t do your research about the property when the offer was made, maybe you could have heard rumors that a big company was interested in that site. Any investment made without sufficient research and due diligence is no different from playing cards.

Considering the cost of tuition fees and student loans debt, going to University for four years may not be worth it. I understand OP better because we are from the same country. It’s hard to find white collar jobs in this part of the world even with the best qualifications. You spend money and time in University to get your degree only to find out that things operate differently outside the school walls. In the labor market, it’s a matter of who you know and not what you know. I think it’s better to acquire skills that will help you build a career for yourself.

Another interesting news was coming again from chelsea. Chelsea may make another stupid decision again despite signing the experienced coach to solve the problems that happened with the club and chelsea was aiming another garbage coach.

It's thomas frank, brentford's coach that already linked to the chelsea. This stupid todd boehly was able spending a few hundred millions to buy players but unable to spend at least two digits to take a good coach for its club.

https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-chelsea-eye-thomas-frank-swoop-after-graham-potter-sack-update/

I don't know why chelsea is always taking such horrible decision like that. chelsea has been even closer with the relegation zone. Will chelsea be relegated this season? that's interesting thing to bet on it
I think sacking Graham Potter for Thomas Frank is like repeating what they did before, that’s sacking Frank Lampard and bringing in Graham Potter. The management of the club still don't understand that the current problem at the club is likely to be as a result of Potter's inexperience in managing big teams and so lack winning instincts and tactics performing on the big stage, I mean in the Champions league and Premier league top four race.

I was quite surprised by Mbappe's statement, that he is an AC Milan fan, and if he moves to Serie A, he will only accept AC Milan. Maybe this is not the right time for AC Milan to get superstar fans who are in their best performance. Because AC Milan doesn't have enough money to bring him in. Even though he expressed his love for Milan, Di Marzio said, there were no negotiations whatsoever between Milan and Mbappe. Of course, I am aware that Milan cannot sign Mbappe with the remainder of his contract. PSG will not just let Mbappe go.
Well, I am not surprised because on several occasions I have heard and read statements from players indicating a special love for a particular team mostly from childhood and not every player get a chance to be signed or play for their boyhood dream teams. Though it is very unlikely Mbappe will move to AC Milan anytime soon because PSG are ready to do anything to keep Mbappe.
