While at the same age, many other class players have gradually lost their peak form, typically Ronaldo and even Messi. But that does not seem to happen with the Croatian midfielder, Modric still played the full 90 minutes in the matches and did not show any fatigue, did not fall behind. Real Madrid should be able to win against Betis because Fekir would be absent in that match and looking at their recent matches, they are lagging behind and that should secure 3 point for Madrid if they are serious. I think the Barcelona team will be able to put up a solid performance even though several Barcelona players are out of the squad. Because Barcelona is not relying on any specific player now. Barcelona team managed to defeat Real Madrid by performing brilliantly. Real Madrid created some great chances at home. But Barcelona's defense put in a superb performance to fend off those chances.

Just after the game finished many Real Madrid fans started attacking Barcelona because of their playing style they said Barcelona was defending during the game all the time and they didn't deserve victory at all because Real Madrid was controlling the game more than Barcelona and unlike other El Clasico we usually saw real Madrid had more successful passes comparing to Barcelona while the most important thing is the result this game is which Barcelona could bear Real Madrid even without players like Lewandowski and Perdi.

Real Madrid didn't have a lot of solutions to the strong defense of Barcelona. And this is what Barcelona is counting on. They took the first difficult hurdle by collecting the three points and scoring a goal in Madrid. That is more than they expected. I am sure they would have been ok with a draw and then try to win it at home.

Now the situation is quite different and I think it is not a 50-50 game anymore. It is more like 58-42, probably not quite 60-40. Also, some of the players that were now missing in Madrid will return until the second leg if everything goes according to plan. That is Lewandowski, Pedri, but also Dembele as far as I know. That is a whole different story for their offensive game and another threat that Real Madrid has to take care of during the game while they need to try and play offensive themselves.

I don't think winning the La Liga title this season will be easy for Barcelona. Real Madrid's main goal is of course the Champions League title. But Ancelotti will certainly want to continue his good performances in La Liga. And Ancelotti is a very experienced coach. He knows very well how to keep the team's performance stable. Ancelotti will continue his pursuit of both the La Liga and Champions League titles unless any key Madrid player is out of the squad due to injury.

If we refer to the predicted line-up that Xavi will apply in the match against Valencia. it looks like Christensen can be played in the match later, but his status is still doubtful. referring to the predictions I read, Xavi will apply a 4-4-2 formation, pairing Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati up front. for midfield there are some changes, Pablo Torre and Sergi Roberto will also be played, De Jong and Busquet remain Xavi's mainstay. in defense, Xavi has many options. IMO with the absence of several of Barcelona's core players, this match is an opportunity for Ferran and Ansu Fati to show what they are capable of. but anyway, this is just a prediction.
