LOL.. test cricket is not going to "end" anytime soon. On the other hand, it is prioritized by the ICC and that is the reason why test nations get 50x the funding that others get. Well Juggy777, I agree with you that BCB is short on funds. But at the same time, available funds are not being used fairly. And their annual fund allocation is not that small. Next year, they are supposed to receive $26.74 million from the ICC. This is more than enough to revamp their domestic structure, but the BCB doesn't seems to have any interest in doing it. |

Ideally Trump's odds should be somewhere around 1.3-1.4, given that he has a strong lead in opinion polls for the last several months. But the uncertainty remains over his conviction. The Democrats are trying to get him disqualified to stand in the POTUS elections. This can easily backfire on the Democrats. If they get Trump disqualified somehow, then someone like Ivanka will be announced as the candidate and she will sweep the floor with Joe Biden. What Democrats need to do is to play fairly so that at least a section of the voters will stay with them. There is no doubt about this now many ICC members are looking for having something positive changes because now having teams for the three formats are not working burden is increasing and teams performance is also on decline so in this situation they can allow members if someone wants to scrap any format this could be ok for them if we have this situation then surely few improvements can happen and many teams will love to go with alone twenty/20 format which is better and profitable for the all but this all is not possible in near future we have to wait for this and surely this could be big change in game and can bring good improvement in quality of teams and players as well.
For a full-member nation in division one, it is mandatory to play a fixed number of test matches every year, as the part of the 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship. I know that some of the boards such as the BCB are not keen on this format, because there is not much revenue inflow. But they need to play anyway. And it doesn't help that they are trying very little to improve their domestic first class structure. A lot of focus is on BPL, because it is a big revenue churner. But that has meant that the 4-day domestic system is hardly given any importance at all. |

Remember that in men's cricket Zimbabwe is in very poor shape. They failed to qualify for the T20 World Cup in 2024, after finishing outside the top-2 in 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier. Sydney Sixers have got their second win at the Big Bash League (BBL), and are now leading the points table with 4 points (2 wins from 2 matches). Yesterday they managed to restict Hobart Hurricanes for just 135/8 at the University of Tasmania Stadium in Launceston. Tom Curran, Ben Dwarshuis and Jack Edwards performed well for Sixers. And in return, Daniel Hughes hit an unbeaten 60 to taken them home. BTW, it was very surprising to see Corey Anderson bowling for the Hurricanes yesterday. Today Nepal will play their last match in the Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup, as they will be taking on India at the ICC Academy Ground No 2 in Dubai. Nepal was bowled out for 152 in the first match against Pakistan, while they lost the match against Afghanistan by 73 runs as they were all out for 188. Today's match is going to be the toughest one, although India lost their match against Pakistan previously. The Indian squad contains several players who are having first-class experience, and it is going to be a tough task for the Nepal players to take them on.

After watching the stats of Pakistan U19 team, I was thinking that U19 team is better than the International team. Pakistan U19 team played two of the matches and won both of the matches. In the first match they played with Nepal and they out the whole team of Nepal at 152 runs. And they chased the target with in 27 overs. That was amazing. The second match was with India and India made 259 runs and lost 9 wickets. But if you will see the Pakistan so they only lost 2 wickets and chased the target in 47 overs. In this match I really appreciate the performance of the Azan Awais who made century and remained not out. After that Saad Baig and Shahzaib Khan also played well. And in bowling we can see Mohammad Zeeshan was great who out 4 players of Indian team. Congratulations to Pakistan.  Historically, Pakistan has performed quite well at the U-19 level. And a big reason for this is the presence of large number of teenagers in the first class system of Pakistan. If you check county cricket in England or the Sheffield Shield of Australia, you will not find many teenage players. But that is not the case in Pakistan, as they have a good cricket structure at the colleges and schools. Players progress from schools and colleges to first-class teams, unlike the case in England and Australia where the players for first class teams are mostly sourced from feeder clubs. |

Zimbabwe's declining fortunes are showcased once again. A few weeks ago, they failed to qualify for the T20 World Cup of 2024, after finishing at the 3rd position in Africa T20 qualifiers behind Namibia and Uganda. The loss to Ireland at home was not very surprising because of this reason. Zimbabwe is still overdependent on some players who are in their late 30s, such as Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams and Crag Ervine. I don't know what will happen to them, once these players retire from international cricket.

Anyone following this season's Big Bash League (BBL)? The fourth match, between Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers will be played today at the GMHBA Stadium in South Geelong. Cricket Australia wants to expand franchise cricket to regions outside metro cities, and therefore they have asked tier-2 cities such as Geelong to host a few BBL matches. Quinton de Kock, Aaron Finch, Nathan Lyon, Shaun Marsh and Adam Zampa will be in action for the Renegades, while Scorchers have Jason Behrendorff, Mitchell Marsh and Lance Morris.

I carefully listened to the comments made by Lionel Scaloni, while he was talking to TyC Sports. He didn't said explicitly that he had fallen out with Messi. For those who believe in the rumors, there is a lot to read between the lines. For me it sounded like he has achieved whatever he wanted to achieve with Argentina, and therefore he wanted to move on. I always thought that Scaloni had an excellent relationship with Messi over the years, and for me there is not enough proof to suggest that anything has changed overnight.

As I am already saying about this most chances we will not have this Champions Trophy in Pakistan because Indian authorities will be not happy as they never want to give any financial or other benefit to Pakistan so most chances ICC will change the venue, and we will have this again in the UAE which could be better option for all it's all about personal ego and power nothing else.

It is very simple. If the Champions trophy is held in Pakistan, then the Indian government will not allow the BCCI to travel to that country. In the end, India maybe replaced with the 9th ranked team from 2023 ODI World Cup. But then, the media rights holders won't be happy. They have agreed to the huge media package deal, with the condition that Indian team will be participating in all of these tournaments. So if India is replaced with some other country, then the ICC need to compensate the media rights holders (Disney Star). |

Yes, we would have seen something better if Sikandar Raza was in the match. In the first match, he quarreled with his teammates, which resulted in a two-match ban. Sikandar Raza played very well in the first match, batting and bowling very well. Had he stayed in the second match, Zimbabwe's batting line-up would have been stronger and would have been able to target more runs. He could show great performance in bowling.
Tadiwanashe Marumani, the opening batsman of the Zimbabwe team, was dismissed for 1 run in the first match as well, and was also dismissed in the second innings after playing just one ball. Having performed poorly in two consecutive matches, I think Tadiwanashe Marumani should be changed from the XI in the next match.
Zimbabwe did not perform as expected at home. The opposition lost to Ireland by four wickets. Zimbabwe eventually fought back to win and took the game to the last over. Today again the third match of the series will be played. As the series is level with both the teams playing one match each, so today's match will be the final match for them whoever wins today will win the series. Let's see which team can show great performance today and win the series. However, due to the absence of Sikandar Raza in the Zimbabwean XI, the team is a bit shaky. For the last many years, Sikandar Raza has been the backbone of the Zimbabwean national team. He remained loyal to his adopted country, at a time when many of the star players went abroad (Australia, New Zealand, England.etc). We may never know the exact reason why he quarreled. Anyway, his absence will be a big blow for Zimbabwe and will give the Irish an optimal opportunity to score a series win abroad. That said, Irish performance has been quite shaky as well, with their top order batsmen failing repeatedly and the bowlers being inconsistent. |

OP I totally agree with you. They will take the opportunity to play at their own home ground and batting so badly in the first innings and the last innings of the second Test. Bangladesh were all out for only 144 runs in the second innings. This shows how weak Bangladesh's batting was in the second innings. Maybe we thought to ourselves that for the first time ever we would beat New Zealand in a Test match at our home ground. But this dream will remain our dream forever. Bangladesh team used to bat and bowl very well, now their bat is much worse. So Bangladesh must focus on their batting, they must make their batting better, otherwise Bangladesh will face a batting disaster just like we saw in Bangladesh 2023 World Cup batting failure. Championship trophy ahead so Bangladesh should prepare themselves well.
Well.. this is something that has happened in the past with teams like India as well. They prepare dustbowls against SENA teams, hoping that their spinners will be able to exterminate the opposition. Once in a while, spinners from the opposition side take advantage of this situation and in the end the tactic backfires on the sub-continental team. As such there is nothing wrong with these tactics from Bangladesh. If they had prepared good pitches, then in all probability New Zealand would have swept the series 2-0. |

Bangladesh really messed up by not getting Phillips early in the first innings and he ended up screwing them in both innings while the rest of the team struggled a lot. Santner gave him good support.
The Islam bros and Miraz were the standouts while the rest of the bowlers were pretty much useless. Ajaz and Taijul are my picks for the best bowlers of this series.
Bangladesh messed up when they created the minefield for the second time in a row. It backfired on them, as the New Zealand bowlers made life miserable for the Bangladeshi batsmen. And don't forget the fact that Bangladeshi had won the toss and had opted to bat first. Despite the home advantage and tailor-made pitch, Bangladesh managed to lose the match. This is a huge morale booster for New Zealand. They managed to level the series 1-1 and it is a big achievement given the hostile conditions and past record. |

Ireland's 4-wicket win over Zimbabwe in the second match of the T20 series is a matter of great joy for Ireland fans. In today's match, due to the hard work of the players of the Ireland team, they reached the target of 166 runs set by the Zimbabwe team. Here I am not agreed with you about any other member will be having any concern because mostly are touring, and many other things are going normal its just Indian lobby and media which is creating some hype about situation is not good in Pakistan but still I am again going now things are not favorable for Pakistan in ICC so most chances we will have this trophy will be play in different views other than Pakistan but if we have strong government and other things then surely they will try to take some benefit which is also all depend on how ICC will go about this issue.
New Zealand, England and Australia are already completed their tours without any problem and most chances things will be improved, and we will have just BCCI as biggest opposition for this event not held in Pakistan.
A few teams like Australia and England completed their tours without any issue, but still if the BCCI is opposed to it, then the ICC can't stage any of the major tournaments in that country. If India pulls out, then 80% of the revenue is gone for the media rights holders. And if that happens, then all the full member boards will get impacted and not just the PCB. At this point, the best thing that the PCB can do is to try for the hybrid setup (even that is not guaranteed). Getting the funds from ICC is more important when compared to hosting tournaments for the PCB. |

You mentioned regulations on advertisements thingy a couple of times, what's that supposed to mean in the context of Pakistan? Not aware much of this topic. In the end, it will be played in hybrid mode. For tax related complexities, GCC locations such as United Arab Emirates or Oman suits better for the ICC than Sri Lanka. Last time Asia Cup could not be held in GCC because of adverse weather conditions. But in case of Champions Trophy, there should be no such issues. Anyway, security situation in Pakistan is not that good either. So there is a good chance that a few of the full member boards other than the BCCI will be raising objections to the tournament being hosted by Pakistan. |

I completely agree, currently Pakistan is second most populated country in ICC but sadly in last 2 decades they are badly going down in stability and economically which is having many issues for them but no one going to accept ground realities which are bringing more problems for them in last two years we are having too many changes which are bringing more problems so with this all I have no positive signs for them in cricket with mostly other games are also ended.
Now as we are heading for the 2024 they are having elections in February which are also creating problems for the organizing PSL in Pakistan if they are not able to hold this again then surely they can face more problems for them champions trophy as well but in current situation no one can bring anything positive for this country all is down in long run.
PSL contributes to a large share of the income for PCB. If they are unable to hold the elections, then it is not going to end well for the board and the players. Also if the opposition wins the election, we can expect further changes in PCB and that will destabilize the domestic cricket further. As of now, I am having little hope of Pakistan hosting the champions trophy in 2025. At the most, they can have a setup similar to what was done for the 2023 edition of Asia Cup. Given the power equilibrium in ICC and ACC, there is very little that PCB can do at this point. |

Since the IPL 2024 will start in a few months from now, franchises will be keeping a close eye on the ongoing Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup. Those who perform well can expect a contract with one of the IPL franchises. In the first match (against Afghanistan), a few Indian players put up decent performances, including Naman Tiwari, Arshin Kulkarni and Raj Limbani among the bowlers, and Musheer Khan among the batsmen. Musheer and Arshin have played for state sides in Indian domestic cricket, but the other two are yet to participate in domestic tournaments.
