It is not that important what the main problem was, as long as the manager is out, then he is out. I do not think that they have been this good thanks to the manager, I think the manager had nothing to do with it really.

I believe that they are going to be just fine, they didn't win much before, and they may not win much later neither. Scalioni has already said that he will talk to Messi once more in the next few days about the most important decisions for the national team.

The matter is more on Scaloni needing to build the best team as per his principles because Copa America is quickly drawing nearer. But before that, Scaloni needs the endorsement of Messi who is also the captain of the team.

I don't think there is a problem between Scaloni and Messi because even when Argentina the Qatar World Cup, Scaloni started talking about Messi and he said how helpful is this player also he also said he wanted to use Messi for the 2026 World Cup but the behavior of Messi was not good and I think this time this Argentinian player made a mistake when he decided about the team himself.

The status of Lionel Messi is simply too big and exerts an excessive amount of influence over every decision. Scaloni for instance will be conflicted between building the team including the choice of players on Messi who is as of now old. On the other hand, he could get ready for plays and pick his players with less reliance on Messi.
