961  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - CONGRATULATIONS TO WONTON FOR WINNING 300BTC on: February 07, 2017, 04:59:55 AM
When I try to set up 2factor I get an Error: Cannot interpret QR code.

Which app are you attempting to use to scan the QR code to set up 2factor? If you aren't using Authy, I'd recommend you try that one out as it should work without an issue.
962  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - CONGRATULATIONS TO WONTON FOR WINNING 300BTC on: February 07, 2017, 04:05:31 AM
Small update as it's been quite a while.. Stay tuned, we are going to beta-test new game soon, plus few cosmetic fixes will be added with next update, which should split the site completely for authorized users and guests, providing better speed and faster site load. We should also fix an issue when Safari users in incognito mode weren't able to use the site. ( We had to change authorization system back to cookie based as Safari doesn't save localstorage cookies in incognito mode preventing users from sign in )

Sounds great! Looking forward to playing and testing the new game out and can't wait til it goes live officially as well!
963  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum unconfirmed on: February 07, 2017, 04:02:55 AM
I'd recommend enabling Dynamic fees in Electrum under Preferences. This is much better at estimating fees and you can better control how quickly the transaction will occur using a slider.

I'd recommend running both of your txids through Via's Accelerator at https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ which should help speed up the confirmation time if Via mines a block.
964  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need some info on: February 07, 2017, 02:05:19 AM
Bitcoin is an excellent method of accepting payment for services and I definitely recommend it.

As long as you wait for 1 confirmation before providing services, there isn't a risk of the users charging back or anything of that sort. Be sure to wait for at least 1 confirmation to ensure that there is no double spend attacks though.
965  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - CONGRATULATIONS TO WONTON FOR WINNING 300BTC on: February 06, 2017, 05:02:41 PM

Doctor was won around 500BTC in Bitdice (More than this winning) on 2 years ago or so.

I did not know BitDice is already 2 years old. Was it on same website or that was renewed?
Oh, it was at Dec 2, 2015 when alex posted it (It should be around 1 year+). Here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1273407.0
Yes, it's Bitdice. It was happened when Bitdice still at V3

Yeah, BitDice has been around for quite some time. According to their About page, they have been around since 2014 and they are currently on version 4 of the site!
966  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: JSONRPC not working on: February 06, 2017, 02:59:01 PM
Hello,
I tried to connect install JSONRPC with following command:
Code:
electrum setconfig rpcport 7777
But when I am trying to connect I have got this error:
Code:
Unable to connect to http://127.0.0.1:7777/ Error: Failed to connect to 127.0.0.1 port 7777: Connection refused
How to fix this problem?
I have got XAMPP and Windows 7 installed.
Thanks in advance!

You are attempting to connect from the same PC that is running Electrum, right? It is currently listening on localhost so you would need to connect from the same PC.

Also ensure that Electrum is currently running when you attempt to do the connection otherwise you won't be able to connect.
967  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: unconfirmed on: February 06, 2017, 02:51:39 PM
Thanks for your help!

I am in a big trouble now  Cry

1) after 2 days of waiting, I started linux again, turned on electrum, and see that the list of my sending isn't there ... it looks like I never sent anything; good thing: the BTC were back; in the lower left there stands NOT CONNECTED and the button of the server was red
2) so I upgraded my linux version, because you told me
3) after the upgrade, I wasn't able to start any program, so I started linux again. I see the boot screen, than the dialog in the beginning, but from there I can't move anything: no mouse and no keyboard. I tried it with the USB-Stick on 2 different computers and I am not able to start linux.
4) as nooby as I am I didn't saved the SEED, so I can't even install linux new and get connected Sad

But there is one hope: I saved the persistance on the USB-Stick.

What shall I do now? I am afraid that I lost the BTC now really!
Can I somehow install tails again and integrate the old persistance? Can I then login the old wallet without knowing the SEED, but phassphrase? Can I maybe fix the upgraded tails version which seen to be destroyed?

Thanks for 4 help ..

Do you still have the transaction ID? If so paste it and we can check on the size of the fee etc and may be able to help accelerate it.

It is likely possible to fix the linux installation but it is difficult to say why it is not working correctly right now. Sounds like the mouse/keyboard drivers aren't working properly or something along those lines.

If the persistence is saved, you can likely recover your wallet from the USB stick on another working operating system.
968  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wife's computer hacked by bitcoin miner?? on: February 05, 2017, 05:42:27 AM
I recommend you to disable Java on your browser if you don't need it.

Definitely disable Java in the browser. If you don't use Java for anything on the PC, I'd even recommend removing it entirely. At the very least, you should ensure that Java is completely up to date. Java has had a ton of security issues so if it is outdated, there is more potential for exploitation.

Hello i am working on a small project and i got my coin compile every computer i setup on can solo mine  fine and block updates.... when i run my VPS for the mining pool all my workers get connection refused im kind of at a stand still. i have checked my ports IPs rpcusers and passwords everything so far is correct i just cant seem to connect any workers to the pool this is the error i get

im using MPOS and stratum-mining

oh also the pool server runs fine the network boots up and shows hashing from the local VPS its hosted on

I'm assuming you simply redacted the IP above and you aren't actually using MYSERVERIP for the connection.

It sounds like it isn't properly listening on the server due to the connection refused errors. By default, I think it only binds to localhost and won't listen for connections from remote clients. You'll need to edit the configuration and bind to the main interface/IP so that you can receive remote connections.

If you are running this on Linux, you should be able to run "netstat -plan" to see which interface the server is currently listening on.
970  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: No Seed No Google Authenticator on: February 05, 2017, 01:46:28 AM
Hello:

I set up my Electrum wallet long ago on an OS I rarely use and I no longer have the seed.

I do, however, have the wallet password.  I can transfer funds in and see all private keys.  I can also open the wallet file.

But, apparently I created the wallet with 2FA.  If I try to transfer funds out, it asks for a Google Authenticator code.  I have never set up or used Google Authenticator.  As a consequence, the transaction sits with 1/2 signatures and never completes.  I've edited the wallet file to set 2FA to 'false' but no luck.

Any help on either recreating the seed with the password, or finding another way to transfer funds out.

2FA wallets utilize a 2 of 3 multi-signature wallet and without at least 2 signatures, you will be unable to send funds. When you create a wallet with 2FA, the seeds you get give you 2 out of the 3 private keys so you can restore the wallet without the need for the 2FA. Unfortunately, without the seed or the 2FA, I don't think you'll be able to gain access to these funds.
971  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - CONGRATULATIONS TO WONTON FOR WINNING 300BTC on: February 05, 2017, 12:05:28 AM
When Wonton won the 300 BTC all the investors are really shaking their head because of the fact that they will be in negative return Smiley and now that Wonton returned the 300 BTC with interest of another 200 BTC, I bet bankroll investors was relief and happy that their investment have a good profit Smiley.  This simply show that gambler and bankroll investors faces the same risk, the risk to lose money when favor is not in their side Smiley.Well I guess wonton don't mind the losses since he believe that BTC is not real money LOL.

I don't think Wonton lost an additional 200 BTC on BitDice. I believe that the bankroll was at +160 before the 300 winnings and is now only at +135
972  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum export wrong private key on: February 05, 2017, 12:02:49 AM
Thanks for your help. Since I do not know much about bitcoin advance technique, how can I get the private key of this address?
As I said, your addresses do not just map to one private key, they may have multiple and have a script, so it is much more complicated.

Did you setup your wallet as as multisig wallet or are you using 2FA with your wallet?
I am using 2FA wallet. No Multisig

Do you still have access to the seeds used for this wallet. 2FA uses multisig for the wallet. Are you unable to use the 2FA which is why you are trying to get the private key or do you need it for another purpose. If you still have the seed, you can restore the wallet for use without 2FA by following the below steps.

Your seed contains two master private keys in a 2-of-3 security scheme. In addition, the third master public key can be derived from your seed, ensuring that your wallet addresses can be restored. In order to restore your wallet from seed, select “wallet with two factor authentication”, as this tells Electrum to use this special variety of seed for restoring your wallet.

Note: The “restore” option should be used only if you no longer want to use TrustedCoin, or if there is a problem with the service. Once you have restored your wallet in this way, two of three factors are on your machine, negating the special protection of this type of wallet.
973  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Need help with Kraken on: February 04, 2017, 03:48:56 AM
Well, as a follow up. I did send Kraken one more email. It was not a very nice one and I don't know if what I said in there was what got them moving to help me; I actually hope it wasn't what I said to them that led to action. I'd rather believe that are good business people and that they were busy and maybe overwhelmed a bit, but in any case they informed me of the changes to attain Tier 3 status, I complied and my money is in my checking account. I would still advise those new to Bitcoin to look into the companies your dealing with more than I initially did. Thanks to those of you who shared your advise and thoughts with me on this.

Nice to see a happy ending to this. I'm glad you were able to successfully get through to them and get your bitcoin exchanged into your checking account.
974  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction stuck at unconfirmed for hours? on: February 03, 2017, 06:46:01 PM
Wow!  I just check your transaction and Block #451397 was in fact mined by ViaBTC.  That's so cool.  I hope it doesn't get abused.

Yeah, it is pretty awesome of them to include that feature and it definitely helps when you accidentally sent/receive a low fee transaction. Hopefully there isn't any abuse so they can keep offering such a feature.
975  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction fee bug on: February 03, 2017, 06:43:33 PM
I'm sure i didn't specify manual fees, in fact i don't know how to do it so i just set the fee to 0.00099BTC/KB.
Also, 100% fee multiplier is good enough for fast confirmation (less than 2 hours)?

You can check a site like http://bitcoinfees.21.co to see what recommended fees are for fast confirmation. For example, right now the fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 160 satoshis/byte!

Using the dynamic fees feature, you can simply slide the bar to the far right to get a quick confirmation and you won't have to worry about figuring out the correct fee to use at the current time.
976  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction stuck at unconfirmed for hours? on: February 03, 2017, 02:33:44 PM
Low fees will make transactions take quite a while to confirm especially when the mempool is very full like it has been these last few days.

For transactions will low fees, I recommend trying the Via Transaction Accelerator at https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ . This makes Via put a priority on your transaction and they should include it when they mine their next block. I've used it a few times and it definitely speeds up the confirmation for these low fee transactions.
977  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction fee bug on: February 03, 2017, 02:31:58 PM
In short, i set the fee to 0.00099BTC/KB, but one of my transaction fees is only 0.00019182BTC/KB.
So, anyone knows what happened or what should i do to prevent that for future transaction? Also, can i set tx fee manually for each transaction?

TX ID : 5028d650536fa01003635f475c7feaf122abe4bc46e787cd44e05329d1fe0be7

I'm not sure why the fee wasn't to what you specified for this transaction. You didn't also specify a manual fee that overwrote the default fee did you?

Yes, Electrum has a spot to specify the fee manually for each transaction. However, you can't specify the per byte/KB fee individually for each transaction.

Personally, I'd recommend you use the Dynamic Fees feature ( Enable it in Preferences ) as this is better at estimating appropriate fees. It gives you a slider to control how soon you want the transaction to confirm and adjust the fees automatically. I've started using this rather than manual fees and it simplifies the process so much.
978  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: February 03, 2017, 06:36:13 AM
This is the error I'm getting:

__constant bignum bn_zero;
                  ^
error: constant address space qualified variables are required to be initialized
2 errors generated.

error: Clang front-end compilation failed!
Frontend phase failed compilation.
Error: Compiling CL to IR

I saw someone else having this issue and they mentioned that the following worked:
1. Open "calc_addrs.cl" with text editor.
2. Go to line 180 and change __constant bignum bn_zero; to __constant bignum bn_zero = { 0 };
3. Run with -S option enabled, otherwise it will throw out hashing mismatches instead of privkeys.
979  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: February 03, 2017, 05:44:59 AM
Does anyone know how to get OCLVanitygen to work with 2 r9 290x cards?  I am using the lifeboat version.  Everytime I try to run the .bat file that I created, it just opens, list the specs of the cards and just closes.   I tried to install the old catalyst v. 12.7 software as some suggested earlier in the thread, but it doesn't work at all.  For reference, I have the new crimson software installed.

Any help would be really appreciated.

What arguments are you passing to oclvanitygen? If you want to use multiple cards, you have to pass both device IDs with -D similar to the following:
Code:
oclvanitygen.exe -D 0:0 -D 0:1 1test

I used that line, but the screen just pops up and closes.

Try opening up a command line prompt and running it so you can see the full output of the command. If you are in a recent version of Windows, you can shift + right click in Windows Explorer and select "Open command window here" while in the folder containing oclvanitygen. This will allow you to view the full output and any errors that it may be showing.
980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My fiend got hacked for 81 BTC on: February 03, 2017, 05:33:42 AM
I just wanted to say originally i've been using COINBASE btc exhcnage since like july of 2013 with absolutely no problems and out of the blue on 1/31/17 I get this email:

then after i saw that my jaw dropped like ugh... what the F....... ? So that's when coinbase said because of the account closure I HAD TO move my 87 bitcoins and that's when i did the blockchain.info wallet half in there and then half in Bitstamp it really caught me off guard the account closure with coinbase I've been using it since the beginning of my bitcoin adventure whatever you wanna call it lol....

Did you ask them what you were in violation of? Was it simply having too many coins or some other reason? That is quite strange for them to close your account like that.
