961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 21, 2023, 07:57:58 PM
Crystal Palace have been in good spirits against Arsenal so far and they have also managed to put some pressure on Arsenal's defence. The two teams still played out a goalless draw, but Arsenal, who have a lot of quality in their players, are able to play better when building attacks and also defending.

This is a very interesting match because so far both teams have both performed well in attack and defense. It's possible that Crystal Palace will surprise by scoring first, but I don't expect Arsenal to lose. Arsenal need to control the tempo of the game and not make mistakes when Crystal Palace builds on the counter-attack, of course it has been very dangerous so far.
The attack Crystal Palace are doing is becoming scary because if Arsenal did not have good defenders, they would have conceded a goal by now. Crystal Palace is playing massive attack and massive defense that is why Arsenal wingers are finding it difficult to break through their defensive line, but Nketiah made some good attempts that could have led to goal.

The second half of the match will be tougher than the first half because I expect changes from both teams.

The hot topic now is the Bitcoin dip in price. While a lot of people will be panicking, those in this forum understand what is going on as it is not something new. Consequently, a lot of topic have been raised so far,  all suggesting that instead of panicking,  we should buy the dip and hold... because a lot of activities are lined up that is expected to make Bitcoin see a new all time high (ATH) between 2024 to 2025. I suggest you do your research about this to see how you can take advantage of that opportunity.
This forum has a wealth of knowledge that one would never discover if they were not a complete member. I've learned more about bitcoin on this forum through numerous threads available here and in other sections of the forum, and as a result, the bitcoin market no longer scares me since I'm confident that the dip will come to pass.
963  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to smell fraud in projects and detect Ponzi schemes from far as a Newbie on: August 21, 2023, 10:50:43 AM

Ponzi schemes and scams are everywhere and they will continue to exist but they can be avoided, you just need to be extra careful and sometimes look for the red flags, you will get one or two pieces of evidence to avoid them if you are not greedy, remember a safe investment is a safe mental health and safe future.

The scammers are always developing their scamming process to an advanced level in order to convince newbies and the public to fall into their trap. That is why they go around and copy some Ponzi schemes that succeeded and change some things that will make them look real and encourage people to join and invest with them.

OP You have arranged vital information that will be helpful to prevent falling victim to Ponzi schemes. Even though we cannot be 100% safe if we continue to believe in altcoin, and sometimes greed is what is pushing us to get scammed, I believe with these signs and red flags you listed, if they are properly taken into consideration, the scam will be minimal.

Westham went home with three pints. Watching from first half, Chelsea dominated full time but having no single pattern to net a goal. They kept on trying crossing which is not working, and Mudryk running like flash and not having proper footing on the ball. I don't know who to blame in the game. There are many blunders in the backlines and Chelsea not having a proper finisher. Chelsea player handicapped hammers but still failed to level the game, instead the blues conceded another goal to make it 3-1. In the meantime, the fans are not satisfied with the club's results in these two games.
I will blame the coach for putting guys like Mudryk on the bench for so long. Rahim Sterling is no longer in excellent form because of to his age, and Mudryk would have performed better in that position. Jackson gave it every effort during the game, but he was unable to score.

Why did the coach keep Caicedo on the bench after spending so much money to get him in? He might have started with Enzo Fernandez in midfield to provide additional protection for the defenders, and finally, the formation Chelsea used today seemed weird; perhaps the players were not used to such a formation, which is why they did not perform well.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 20, 2023, 08:09:48 PM
Barcelona vs Cádiz,
Even in 80 minutes of the game, no team has yet scored a goal. Surprisingly, despite having the ball in Barcelona's possession from the start of the game, Barcelona have yet to show their best. Cadiz's players are not playing well, but Cadiz's defense is dealing with Barcelona's attacks very responsibly. If the Cadiz keeper had failed to stop Barcelona's attacks, Barcelona might have been three to four goals ahead by now. I am hopeful that Barcelona will be able to win the second match of the 23/24 season
Two late goals from Pedri and Ferran Torres gave Barcelona the lead to secure their first win of the season.

Barcelona has 75% possession and 10 shorts on goals in the whole match which shows that they did very well in the match just that Cadiz defenders are well prepared for the match, but still at the end, they gave up because they can't keep the pressure till the end.

969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 18, 2023, 09:26:52 PM
Reporting from Marca, Marcos Alonso was reportedly not included by Barcelona in the list of players for the 2023/2024 LaLiga competition. That's a sign, Barca is ready to sell it.
Barcelona is now opening the door for clubs interested in signing the 32-year-old left full-back. Reportedly, Barca will also offer Alonso to Saudi Arabian teams.
The Saudi Arabian team will be a better place for him due to his age, and for Barcelona to keep him out of the squad, I don't think any team in Europe will bid for him because of his age unless for a short-term deal or a loan deal; otherwise, he has to move to the Saudi Arabian league.

971  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why Bitcoin Dey Come Down? on: August 18, 2023, 06:25:36 PM

The price will still come down again before the end of the year and it will still go up again. So if you want to accumulate more bitcoin BTC in you portfolio this is also the best time to so.
I am just Suprise how bitcoin price drops drastically like this within some hours. And I wonder why Elum sell off this huge amount of bitcoin where some people are willing to buy more, did he find anything bad about it? or just for his selfish interest since he is a supporter of altcoins?
972  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Where can I buy BTC in this board? on: August 18, 2023, 06:16:14 PM

The easiest way is to buy from someone on this forum from Nigerians. Igebotz will give you a good offer that will also favour him to earn, not that you are disturbing him. It is an offer that he accepted, or look for other people with a better rate if you think his rate is expensive for you is what he is talking about.
Thank you, I will send him message when I set my receiving wallet, currently I wanted to download electrum wallet in my laptop to create my wallet.
973  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nah lack of common sense or greed?? on: August 18, 2023, 07:27:09 AM

Some go say na due to the fuel scarcity nai make them rush, others go say dis na opportunity to take get money after them sell am, but my question be say how we fit stop out loved ones from this sort of risky movement? You feel say our government dey partly to blame or nah just lack of common sense dey worry us so??
This things na something wey our people they do always even before the fuel scarcity so e don already master Nigerians especially the illiterates once that are not too careful about their lives, if not them supposed to consider safety first because I know say all of them wey go there de awear say petrol na highly inflammable something wey just need heat and small ignition wey fit be just a crack of stone to catch fire, but them still go because they wan use the opportunity to get money.

The only fault wey Government go get for this matter na the bad road, if not them no get any fault; the drivers too get their own fault because some of them the fall the truck intentionally if them don too sell fuel for roadside because them know say if them reach where them they go, problem go de between them and the owner.
974  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Where can I buy BTC in this board? on: August 18, 2023, 07:13:03 AM

Yes I'm open to trade. I'm surprised why the OP wouldn't use a CEX P2P, which is one of the most efficient ways to buy and sell cryptocurrency in Nigeria. I understand that most individuals dislike the idea of KYC, but I see nothing wrong with submitting a tie 1 KYC, which is to verify email and phone number only and trading less than $100 each day.
Thank you for your response, sir Igebotz.

I don't know the exchanges that I will use just email and phone number for stage one verification that allow me to buy that is why I am here; I thought I must submit BVN, NIN, Driver's License or so before I can be allowed to trade small amount of less than $100.

Plese you can provide me with exchange link/name so that I can buy it there for some experience too.

Quote
Op if you must buy from anyone from this board I'm ready to serve as zero-fees escrow for the deal.

But if you want to get it from me send a PM and I will give you my rates.
I was thinking there will be an existing Bitcoin to Naira exchange thread here that was why I ask, but the information you provide will be enough so that I cannot be bothering you with PM any time I will buy small amounts of BTC.
975  Other / Politics & Society / Re: POLITICS AND LIES on: August 17, 2023, 07:55:14 PM

You will be surprised to know that in those countries, politicians still lie to the people... just that they might have acceptable limits. Politicians globally seems to have somethings in common as you can see from various comments in this thread. Even in the supposed perfect countries,I doubt if there are anyone that can vouch for their politicians.
Politicians are always on a mission, they main aims to achieve their goals by all means possible that is why laying is not something difficult for them to do because they can do anything to attain the position they want.

In my country, they not only liars, they also betrayers and they don't usually keep to their campaign promises after winning their elections, they will end up coming back to the poor mases if they want to go again or if they want another position forgetting that they did not do well during the previous office they served.
976  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Where can I buy BTC in this board? on: August 17, 2023, 12:55:13 PM
Hello my people, I hope una they fine,
I get on question wey I been they try ask here.

As here na we Nigerians they this board e get place for here wey I fit buy BTC directly from my fellow Nigerians wey they here?

I ask this question because I wan buy BTC for investment with my small 50,000 Naira, so I said make I come here ask if una get place wey I go take buy the BTC direct without having any problem.

I they try avoid KYC from exchanges like Binance na why I ask for hear, if there is any link to the thread wey we go fit the exchange our Naira to BTC withing us here in this board abeg make una share with me because to buy from people wey you no trust fit bring problem such as scam by running with my money.
977  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Do You Think Military Intervention Is Needed In Republic? on: August 17, 2023, 11:46:32 AM
This Niger Republic coup is something that ECOWAS is trying to bring to an end, but the situation is becoming more critical every day. I am not too interested in news concerning this, but I don't want Nigerian soldiers to be used because we will definitely lose our brothers and sisters through a war that is not related to us while we have our internal insecurity that the soldiers are yet to solve.

Our president requested our soldiers be deployed there, which I do not support because this is pure politics; they will kill our brothers and the politicians will be there in their homes, and if this war is started now, we don't know when it will end.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 16, 2023, 10:03:58 PM

No Saudi Arabian Club has shown interest in him. Age has got nothing to do with him moving, even at 34, Sergio Ramos did high level defending for Real Madrid and also Paris Saint Germany. Harry Maguire has no evidence, he's not just good enough for Manchester United. He'll end up putting his place in the English squad in jeopardy.
Maguire is even lucky to have such an offer from Saudi Arabia as Westham United is not showing interest in the deal and Manchester United have no plan to use him this season, I think Manchester is willing to let him go once the amount they said was paid and personal agreement was reached with the player.
979  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Will it be safe to store assets on opera mini browser wallet? on: August 16, 2023, 09:52:15 PM
In the past, I have come across the Opera Mini wallet, which I only used to receive some payments from airdrop tasks. I don't think there is anything special about that wallet; to be on the safe side, I suggest you to use the mostly recommend Mobile wallets such as the Blue wallet, but for Windows, you can use the Electrum wallet. I don't think anyone is recommending the Opera Mini wallet.
It's all been spoken by you. The security of our coins, as the OP also noted, should be our main priority. I have seen several discussions that oppose using online wallets, and I am confident that this one is no different. Not Your Keys, Not Your Coin is a catchphrase that reminds us that investing in such wallets is not a good idea.
980  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What I think about buying and keeping USDT/BUSD due to our recent bad economy. on: August 16, 2023, 07:22:57 PM
CONCLUSION: No one pray for our economy to continue this way but I don't see things being corrected easily as our government is been run on dialy basis. Now in Nigeria, buying USDT or BUSD to keep is far better than buying a shitcoin. Although it may not give much profit like those shitcoin but it can save you from shitcoin scam. No matter the case may be, you hardly can lose all your money with buying and keeping USDT or BUSD but you can easily lose more than thousands of dollars on shitcoin if good research is not made on the project you invested in.

***Remember this isn't a full financial advice.***
You think buying BUSD or USDT go be the solution? Because this Naira to Dollar value no they always they stable, and our government they try unified the value so if you buy USDT BUSD and the Nigerian government come succeed to give Naira value you will be at lost.

E go better if we invest in BTC direct so that if the price of BTC go up wella person go gain better money even if Dollar drop.
