If you're interested to know, who "deserves" their rank from our actual criterias, you should install the BPIP extension, which distinguishes between earned merits and merits.

Wow, there is a special extension for Bitcointalk. Thanks, I have it installed now

OP, If I am being honest with you, I don't even expect to see this kind of thread because, before you create it, you already know what the answer should be. But yes, freedom of speech should indeed be expressed.

I need someone else's opinion, that's why I'm asking. And I forgot a few things I have to consider

Another reason for some bullshit posts is because some high-ranking members here are in a rush to complete their signature post count for the week.

This is one point I forgot, maybe they were in a hurry to make a post or were in a bad mood. Maybe I would also do the same if in such conditions

Thx Dr. strange
I'm waiting for your latest film Grin

You are joking, right? Haha! I am guessing you have never taken part in or witnessed a heated scientific debate.

Yes... it seems I overlooked some considerations in my assessment. You give me another point of view, Thank you very much

I thought I shouldn't comment on your writing. But I like your writing style. I rarely praise other people's writings
964  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does ranking not guarantee post quality? on: June 17, 2023, 04:50:39 PM
When it comes from a rookie, I find this post to be very rude to high rank members. Just as you stated in one of your posts, I believe you are merely looking for attention.
Quote
maybe many newbies want attention, I'm the same.

maybe you mean this post:
Hahaha... Your writing is very to the point. But that's good, maybe many newbies want attention, I'm the same. Of course, everyone talks about the quality of posts, but there are still a lot of comments that are full of nonsense and repetitive.

But that's how discussions go, there should always be something to discuss, I'm actually worried that everyone will be smart. There probably won't be any more discussions

I think everyone needs attention, no one likes to be ignored, including me. Or maybe you haven't been attention?

But from your post you seemed certain that other high ranking members post are of less quality. So the best thing if you actually care for the forum been free from less quality posts then you would certainly report those posts and the moderators will access them and probably delete the posts that truly of less quality.

Also I think the criteria to meet weekly post count actually make some members to post with less quality some times

Not all, many are of good quality. At first I thought that a high ranking would guarantee a good quality of their posts.

I don't think I have the capacity to report them. I'm still in the learning stage.
965  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does ranking not guarantee post quality? on: June 17, 2023, 04:31:09 PM
Regardless of the type of comments they made even after the necessary information was obtained, this is a public forum with no restrictions on any user's suggestions and opinions; thus, I don't expect abusive words like stupid people as you mentioned here because I am sure we both have respect for each other.

I'm sorry, I don't have a good language skills. I don't know the equivalent word for the term "stupid". I don't mean to use harsh words here
966  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does ranking not guarantee post quality? on: June 17, 2023, 04:24:53 PM
However, if you want to do the best and quality posts here, just do it, don't judge someone by what you don't like, be optimistic, we here provide a report button, you can use it, but remember it is really spam, not based on your dislike of the post.

Yes I have no intention of reporting anyone here. I do not hate differences of opinion precisely that is where the discussion will work, because there are differences of opinion. But opinions that have good arguments, not just nonsense
967  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does ranking not guarantee post quality? on: June 17, 2023, 04:06:43 PM
Your post quality depends on what you write, not on your rank. A newbie with deep knowledge can write super quality posts, better than a Legendary member with a shit post. I have to mention that before the Merit system kick-off in January 2018, forum members could rank up easily (no merit requirement). Many old members with high ranks before appearance of merit system are shit posters.

Is that true? means the old system is very easy to reach the legendary level?

Members with same earned merits can have difference in post quality. You can look at The future of Bitcointalk: Low Ranking Top Merit earners in the past 30 days and see differences in post quality of those low rank members.

Wtf... I came in second. I'm not proud of that. I get support from merit sources. Maybe it's just luck

What you see as nonsense might make sense to others; you can't just conclude the complete meaning of someone's statement based on your own personal point of view. Here in this forum, everyone is entitled to their own ideas; you can't contribute more than you don't know.

Yes I agree with you. That's why I asked it here.

It's been a great day, I've read enough threads. I saw quite a lot of senior/hero/legendary rank discussions, but if I'm honest, I found a lot of comments that have no value, they just write nonsense. Maybe I did too

I realize that the quality of a post is based on the knowledge of the account owner. But stupid people are still needed to continue the discussion, if everyone is smart then there will be no more discussion. So both are needed.

I know for sure there will be a lot of comments that blaspheme me. I may be a newbie but I know that a post has value and a good argument. Maybe I haven't read all the threads, so I have to ask about my statement, that many high ranking members have low quality posts? talk nonsense and have no clear arguments. Is my statement correct?
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 17, 2023, 02:15:28 PM
I think if you are expert at bitcoin, that's enough for you to make money. I mean expert in bitcoin analysis, programming, security, wallet, blockchain etc. But if it's just general understanding of bitcoin, I think it's just general knowledge. After I found out about this forum, I started reading about bitcoin, I don't think I will be an expert but I want to know that there is a world of blockchain and bitcoin. I keep working and investing. I realized that my knowledge is only basic so I need to do other activities to earn money
971  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Potential newbies on: June 17, 2023, 01:56:21 PM
So newbies on this forum have made nice contributions to this  forum . however my question is apart from post quality how else can u notice a potential newbie on this forum.

I'm also a beginner. the way I adapt in this forum is to read a lot and obey the rules of the forum. After reading the many comments here, in my opinion what makes a quality post is the knowledge or contents of the head of the account owner. I see that there are several Hero/Legendary users who make posts that have no value and seem mere formalities. So that quality and contribution can only be done by people who have sufficient knowledge
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to fight with FUD about Bitcoin on: June 17, 2023, 01:45:49 PM
Let's accept the fact you can't be loved by everyone and not everyone will agree with your opinion ~snip~

Yes, I agree with you. But public opinion is built from pieces of puzzles, if that person builds a lot of puzzles then public awareness about bitcoin will be negative. Quora has a question and answer system and the quora algorithm will recommend the most read answers and get feedback. Maybe the OP should make an answer about bitcoin's positive value. I'm ready to support that answer with upvotes and comments

Indeed, not everyone has to agree with our opinion, but we can ensure that our opinion is enough to be considered, with logical reasons
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to fight with FUD about Bitcoin on: June 17, 2023, 01:31:11 PM
There are lots of people on quora. I've been active on quora for a long time but I never talk about bitcoin. Are you the only one fighting against that person's negative opinion? I think creating a new answer that has positive value about bitcoin can counter negative answers about bitcoin. I'm ready to support you, we can reply to each other's comments to influence public opinion
974  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [Q&A] Tanya Jawab Seputar Forum Disini/Ask about this forum here! on: June 17, 2023, 09:01:56 AM
izin bertanya kak

975  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [LOG] List Rank Up Member Indonesia (Member - Legendary) on: June 17, 2023, 03:00:05 AM

Saya gan, pengin rasanya cepet baik rank.. benar-benar butuh kesabaran eksta ya gan. Itupun kalo merit mencukupi..
976  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [LOG] List Rank Up Member Indonesia (Member - Legendary) on: June 15, 2023, 05:02:54 PM

Terus tiba-tiba dia mulai menghilang.

Terima kasih agan @PytagoraZ atas ucapan selamatnya.

For example, in the question about plagiarism, the OP is obviously hypocritical:

Is this forum strictly against plagiarism? then what if I quote a part of another website's sentence as a reference argument in the discussion? is it a violation?

look at the date

I think plagiarism is a bad act. Even though I am a beginner, all forums prohibit plagiarism. It takes decisive action so that it does not become a habit. I am a blogger, plagiarism is a cursed act

Hypocritical?
Yes, I hate plagiarism, but plagiarism is sometimes needed for an argument. As a reference by citing the original source. So I asked, whether doing so is considered prohibited or not. So I need to ask that
978  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'am a newbie on: June 15, 2023, 06:29:41 AM
The forum is not a place where you can learn everything in one day or where you can become an expert on everything. Please don't me wrong, but I'm trying to suggest that you can't learn everything at once and that you won't know everything because the forum contains so much information that it's impossible to even begin to understand. But if you follow the guidelines provided in the forums, nothing will lead to the banning of your account. So I kindly ask that you do. There are a lot of individuals who carry out the identical action.

And once more, simply being a member of a forum does not guarantee that you will obtain what you want or be able to advance in rank without much effort. You must produce a decent thread in order to earn the right to rank higher.

Maybe I can just learn quickly about how to write in this forum. I have read the forum rules and I understand a little. But to learn about bitcoins, altcoins, blockchain, wallets, etc. It's so hard. It was something new for me, and I couldn't understand it even though I had read it many times.

So many people who praise me about learning quickly, actually it's wrong. I just quickly understand about the writing method because it's easy for me. I started writing 4 years ago, at first I started writing on blogspot, now I write on the wordpress platform
979  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'am a newbie on: June 15, 2023, 06:20:05 AM
Is obvious that the OP has been here long before we both got here, but all I have to say is that the OP should avoid being a double face, it can lead him/her to start breaking the rules and regulations without him/her knowing, but can we see such happening?
Sometimes newbies are hard to believe that they're truely newbies and this OP has more experience than myself in this forum, I'm just saying though.

Yea... many people say I learned too fast here. I'm a blogger, I know how to write and edit posts, just need a little improv to understand this forum. It took me 1 week to read so many rules. This is not my first forum, I participated in several blogger forums. But to understand bitcoin and its wallet is difficult. Bitcoin is something new for me
980  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is the best board to focus on as a newbie in the forum? on: June 15, 2023, 04:54:53 AM
~snip~ but I want to know which board to focus more on as a newbie, what's your say on this? I'm open to learning from your opinions.

I think local board is the right choice. I learned a lot at the local board, the members on the local board warmly welcome new members like me. It's the same on this board. In addition to the local board, Beginners & Help. Looks like we are one generation, have the same activities. Let's fight together to be consistent in this forum. I think besides learning the forum rules, what's more difficult is being consistent
