Yes you can buy but only when bitcoin is accepted as a direct payment method in that particular store otherwise first you have to convert bitcoins into local currency of your area and then buy what you want. Well gambling has only two designation if you are going to play it. It's either win or lose. But in the long run what is going to happen if you are not able to control yourself, is either you are going to lose. i dont believe the fact that you can earn a living with bitcoin or any other crypto currency ,it is not regulated nor cannot predict the value in the near future,with this kind of unpredictability i would not dare to quit my job to go full time on crypto currency,but it is a fun way of earning some extra bugs to place some dice and for entertainment
I don't agree with your first point, we can earn a living with a bitcoin because there are lot of people who earn bitcoins that are enough for their monthly expenses, there are some people who pay there college fee as well as their house rent by working on bitcoin.
