961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL(Indian Premium Leauge) t20 Discussion & Prediction on: May 15, 2016, 02:38:17 AM
Though Pune has won the toss but they can not win this match. I am backing KKR in this match. Performance of Pune in this season was  not good. They have lost majority of their matches and this match is no difference. They will score less than 150 runs in this match. Most probably this team will end up with a score of 120 or 130 runs.

Unfortunately, the match was shortened due to rain. KKR would have been favourites in any case, but it will be disappointing for Pune to lose like this. Maybe, next season, the gods will favour them.
962  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: May 15, 2016, 02:35:45 AM
the reason why hackers are more interested in fiat money is because the price of it is steady
and doesnt fluctaute frequently. and when bitcoin achieve let say $1000 per bitcoin hackers
will turn theyre eyes to bitcoin and hack it, even right now bitcoin is being hacked.

The value of 1 bitcoin really doesn't matter. Hackers just look at total value - whether bitcoin or fiat.
They just try to extract the maximum possible value.
963  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: May 13, 2016, 03:07:58 PM
I think it'll still be a month or so before we see anything close to $500, but we might see some movement over the next weeks that'll allow for some nice profits thanks to day-trading.

I don't know if I have the balls to try and make some extra money off of the day trading, I think I'll just wait until the halving rolls around and then maybe I'll start buy a bit more.

Day trading is not for everybody. A buy and hold strategy works well for most people, especially when the price is expected to increase in the long-term.
964  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are Venezuelan not switching to Bitcoin? on: May 13, 2016, 03:06:18 PM
The government controls all activities into Venezuela if they see a huge ammount being spent outside the country they will just ask where is going the money, besides that there is an insane prices changes all periods,i dont know how they are able to survive,i believe their salary changes accordingly the changes in price.

All governments have a level of control over the activity in their country.
The more desperate a country is, the higher will be the level of control the government will have. These kind of governments hate Bitcoin.  Smiley
965  Economy / Economics / Re: Who Gets the Blame for the Slowing Economy? on: May 10, 2016, 02:09:43 AM
Who gets the blame? Politicians get the blame.

Who deserves the blame? Well, the people that try to manage and regulate the economy, basically politicians. They are destined to fail and anything they do just makes things worse.

Come to think of it, we get the politicians we deserve.
Since most countries are democracies, people are to be blamed for electing the politicians.
If Trump becomes President.... the American public is to be blamed.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL(Indian Premium Leauge) t20 Discussion & Prediction on: May 10, 2016, 01:23:19 AM
Kings XI punjab can easily achieve the target of 176 runs if Amla will perform well in this match. Good score is set by RCB, amazing performance by vilers.

But Amla got out , it was a good bouncer by watson . Although ABD played very well , I don't think the score is enough . Its a batting pitch and I think its easily scorable as you mentioned . Just Vijay and Saha have to build good partnership and also shouldn't let run rate up , since maxwell is not there , only Miller is the power hitter , if he fails , KXIP maybe in deep trouble  , so its up to Vijay and saha now to build the innings and win this match.

after good start and then loosing wickets and good partnership between devillers and sanju samson rcb scored 175 but still this target is chasable as this ground is batting favrite and punjab have good record against RCB and RCB bowling is very bad so mostly punjab will come favirte and low odd.

They wasted last couple of overs. Could have scored 10-15 more runs . Now 175 is not enough on this pitch.

Yup that he bowled well in 18th and 19th over so score no reached 190 runs i thought they will reach this score because ABD was laying superbly so bad luck any how they made decent score now Punjab is in good condition but chahal took 2 back to back big wickets now score is 88/3 match is become very interesting lets what happen.

Nobody could have predicted such a close match!!
Bangalore managed to scrape through by 1 run.
Punjab must be very disappointed with this result.

Journalists also have vested interests. So it is possible that some names were kept under wraps when the original disclosures took place.
Now we will truly have a crowd-sourced, open investigation.
968  Economy / Speculation / Re: Clear moon pattern forming on: May 10, 2016, 01:19:21 AM
i only consider the $1000 price level to be "the moon". and i don't think we will reach that price just because of the block halving. we will need much more than the halving to come even close to that price.

$1000 is still fuck all in the great scheme of things. If that's your moon then you need to zoom out, or in, can't decide. I don't think there's any danger of $1000 this year anyway.

$1000 could be a good price target to achieve in 12 months. The mass adoption of the coin can help the price.

If there is a bull run after the halving, we won't have to wait 12 months.  Wink
969  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should fear a cashless world on: May 10, 2016, 01:16:44 AM
People would just move to using gold (and bitcoins?).
Beyond a point, the government cannot impose controls.
People will find a way around it.
970  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: May 07, 2016, 08:07:35 AM
I would use my signature campaign and if that wasn't good enough, then I would just get a loan from a bank or one of my friends.

When you are in desperate need of money, you will need a substantial sum and you will need it quickly. Signature campaigns will fail on both these fronts.  Smiley
971  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: May 05, 2016, 04:23:38 PM
Well i havent no option besides sell a part of my coins,in the case bitshares, droped 50% and i needed the money to fund mine project, soo i lost the 50% but well i can invest once again .

That's a bad side of holding the bitcoins that you have. Because you don't what will happen in your personal life.
And if there's an emergency happenings you need to withdraw it.
It depends on how many coins you have.If you have more than 10,investing half of them or trading would be a good option to make some quick profit but If you have less than 10,save all of them for future

Saving is good thing, but if you need money in case of any emergency then I think you should sell a part of it and rest keep safe for the future.

Of course... what use are your coins if you can't use them in an emergency?
You can always repurchase them by earning fiat after the emergency.
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL(Indian Premium Leauge) t20 Discussion & Prediction on: May 05, 2016, 04:22:09 PM
I got some great odds for Delhi Daredevils @2.60 and i am hopeful this would be nice pick and it is much better side than Rising Pune Supergiants, after a quick lost of 1st week it still has good potential to post good score there because Rising Pune Supergiants still in is trouble and struggling really hard.

Delhi Daredevils have a good score on the board. 162 is not going to be easy to chase down.
With the troubles Pune have faced, I would back Delhi to win this one.
973  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the effect of knowing Satoshi on bitcoin price? on: May 05, 2016, 01:50:48 AM
I saw in the news that Satoshi Nakamoto has been identified, it seems that it is the Australian Professor, what are effects of this news on bitcoin price. The title of the news is: "Australian professor Craig Wright reveals himself to be Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto".

As seen in the recent drop following the revelation, it would seem that it caused the price to drop.

That probably had something to do with Craig Wright's reputation.
He had run ins with the tax authorities in Australia previously.
974  Economy / Speculation / Re: Unable to break $500 on: May 05, 2016, 01:49:04 AM
Is Satoshi supposed to dump his bitcoin or something?  I haven't heard but I haven't read every thread here either.

But the halving, the halving!!!

no it's a false rumor, because first, he is not satoshi, and second it would be stupid to dump now, when there was better chance to dump at 1200, aka the last ath

The second reason is no reason at all. There are a lot of people who didn't dump at 1200, the ATH, because they expected bitcoin to rise further.
975  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: May 01, 2016, 03:16:51 PM
Yes it is safe and good to invest your money to buy one bitcoin and to store it in your wallet for about one year, as now halving is coming and the whole year bitcoin will not drop in price and so it will benefit you and will not give you any lose.

If only things were so certain as you conclude, everybody will make money. But we all know that there is no such thing as large, risk-free return. Buying 1 BTC may be a good investment, but it does come with some risks.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL(Indian Premium Leauge) t20 Discussion & Prediction on: May 01, 2016, 03:13:23 PM
Gujarat Lions sit pretty with six wins in seven matches two more than the next best,w hile there is no denying that they have been the best side of the tournament so far, three of their six wins have come off the last ball, on the other side Kings XI Punjab is in real trouble just 1 match won so far, i think Gujarat Lions will win today match easily and odds @1.91 still pretty good.

The Gujarat Lions have been slayed by their easy prey. Punjab had only an average score, but poor batting by Gujarat Lions resulted in this loss.
977  Economy / Economics / Re: How to earn money with bitcoin ? on: May 01, 2016, 05:33:51 AM
I don't call my self a veteran bitcoiner because i still am not familiar with all the money making techniques here. But what i do is create accounts and update them enough to become a potential fullmember of even senior member account. Campaign signature and avatar signature are the 2 things i most mostly profit with when i am waiting for update time.

This is technically not against the rules, but you have to be very careful. If the posts of one of the accounts is found to be spam, all your accounts could get banned.
978  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Halving Hype on: May 01, 2016, 05:31:49 AM
Well my long positions are doing well Wink opened them soon as you never know when the great big spike will come.

There are many people here with a long-only strategy.
They all believe in the long term growth potential of bitcoin.
When the next surge happens, they will all benefit.  Smiley

Bitcoin is economy.
no cheating.

Interesting comparison of the crisis and the impending one and we aren't even half way thru the year yet.
If bitcoin is our only out of this coming of economic failure then it will truly be the year of bitcoin.

The crisis may play out for over a longer period than a year. If people look to convert to Bitcoin to ride out the crisis, you can expect politicians to come hard at Bitcoin. This will be an all out war.

So bitcoin is declaring war on the politicians? Then it must be in stealth mode cause it seems like the politicians are using it as leverage to get the voter on their side. Such as Clinton saying on twitter he supports bitcoin and now Trump jumping on the train in his last speech.
If it's all out war then the politicians are using it as ammo for their campaign pitch.

Bitcoin is not declaring war on politicians?
Politicians will declare war on bitcoin, if it gets anywhere close to becoming mainstream.
