Don't know why some people never learn. These following rules on how to identify a scammer have been posted all over the board for nearly two years now:
0. Newbies, NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH OTHER NEWBIES, EVER. There are plenty of veteran members to do business with and ALWAYS use escrow. If you're a newbie and you're doing business with another newbie, there's a 100% chance that you will get scammed (or you're a scammer yourself).
1. New account (usually created within the last 3 months, plus or minus)
2. Low-medium message count with vapid posts of little to no contributory value
3. Use of a seemingly realistic first/last name as their forum account name
4. Signs posts with full name
5. Straight out of Newbie mode right into Lending (requesting a loan of course)
6. Straight out of Newbie mode right into Currency Exchange (PayPal, Liberty Reserve, Western Union)
7. Straight out of Newbie mode and selling gift cards/codes/Steam games of any kind (they'll often be purchased with stolen CC info, leaving you holding the bag later on down the road)
8. Any user blatantly claiming to be female
9. New user trying to sell an Apple iAnything
10. Sob stories asking for handouts
11. Never send to a Bitmerch.com address for escrow!!!
12. Scammers will try to scam you out of amounts as little as BTC.001 or even less. Do not think that just because the requested amount is trivial that it's any more legit than a 1000 BTC loan request.
13. Any user who tries to get you to use escrow through Escrow.com is a scammer, PERIOD.

It would be nice if forum admins took time to revist default trust list. You know, like maybe they could do it every errr well, just once would be nice!
My comment isnt directed at OP, he does a good job looking out for scams and warning people. I just mean they should remove the crap load of confirmed scammers still on default trust list. I think you're referring to some people in the outer tiers of the Trust list, and not the Default Trust itself, which only consists of 12 people. But yes, I totally agree that those tiers should be frequently evaluated (mine is) to add or remove people as necessary. |

I see that he left you negative trust for an unrelated reason. In fact BHF's reason is similar to why I had left you negative trust earlier, before I rescinded the rating. So while it may not be warranted, it's understandable.

Prove it, move 0.14410254 BTC to any address and post the transaction.
This address has been in the top 100 richest for years.
Not an unreasonable amount or request.

After a little bit of digging around, I notice that OP had been MIA for most of Dec. 2012 - August 2014.
He reappears and ask for loans. There is a possibility this account could have previous owners.
Just posting for the sake of transparency. Not accusing anyone here. Lend at your own risk.
Yeah, I noticed that too, but as long as he provides collateral it's not a big deal. Just make sure he sends collateral first, not the other way around. |

Your post is interesting, but looking through the messages here there are many users SELLING "senior" accounts for this forum so how can you even trust "non-newbies?" I've been lucky, I am new here (found this forum searching for cheap SB cards) and have bought some relatively inexpensive items from newbies without issue. I think those threads (selling forum accounts) should be immediately deleted. How can anyone trust anyone here based on that? Granted, those telltale signs of scammy behavior aren't going to be 100% true in all cases, but it's a surprisingly accurate set of guidelines to keep in mind whenever you're going to do business with someone. There will always be edge-case scenarios and exceptions  |

If I have left you any negative trust that you feel is unwarranted, please reply back to this thread and I'll gladly review your case. I periodically go back through and audit my ratings and remove the ones that no longer apply, but the list has grown so large that .. well, ok I'm just too lazy to sit here and go through the entire thing user by user. So if you have something that you think might need a second look, please post here and I'll check it out ASAP.
Ex: Yours was a borderline case where I should have given you the benefit of the doubt, but didn't. Or you were initially flagged with negative trust but have since been an active contributing member of the forum. Things like that.
