961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 17, 2023, 03:59:00 PM
Do you cash out and savor your victory, or do you continue playing in hopes of even bigger winnings?

So, I ask you all, what would you do when you finally make that big win? Would you cash out immediately to enjoy your winnings, or would you keep playing in the hopes of an even more substantial prize? Shocked
I would go for something in the middle because it wouldn't hurt to keep pushing my luck to see how far it can go without losing everything i've won. I'll cash out my winnings and then continue with the deposit i've started with because, at this point, I don't have to worry much about what happens next. Sometimes, ending my session abruptly leaves a bittersweet feeling, and there's nothing wrong with losing a bit back to the casino if it means I get to enjoy my session more and then stop once i'm satisfied.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: October 17, 2023, 04:14:34 AM
Is it the game you started playing as a gambler that you still play till now? Is there any gambler in this place who was used to playing a particular game before but never was successful winning or did not win enough and then made up their mind that it was time for a change in the game you gamble on. Which game did you change from, and what did you change to? how long did you play the game that you are deciding to stop playing because of the bad outcomes?
My experience might be similar to the others, I started with mostly casino games before moving to sports betting. There's a sportsbook that used to offer good rewards in one of their opening promotion and I was lucky enough to win a reward that almost offsets the losses i've had from casino games. My overall session with casino games probably lasted for a few years before I made the switch because i've been gambling on both but didn't focus on a single side as I was willing to give up what i'm playing if there's a promotion that would put me in profit.

DOTA seems super easy or am I imagining there are big favorites in all the ties shown? Luckily they do not need waiting to submit.
The matchups became predictable because of the upsets on the last day of the group stage. We could've had more closer matchups if things went as expected, but the dogs came out to play.

It's too early to get cute, so I already shipped my answers. Hopefully, i'm lucky enough to avoid the upsets that might happen later today.  Roll Eyes

BOL to my opponent (Kanapka), and welcome to Division 2.  Wink

Even with that Tundra vs Nouns which it is really that unexpected that they had get that 2-0 which is on favor with Nouns. We do know on how dominating Tundra is
but surprisingly they have been beat up but of course its not really that too much of a concern knowing that they are really just heading on lower bracket.
If we're looking at the odds, it's a big upset, but this wasn't the first time Tundra underperformed this year. It sucks for them to be in the lower bracket, but they're lucky to face Entity and then, possibly VP in the next round.

The most impressive win for me was the Talon match since GG had the better lineup in the third game. Then 23Savage carried so hard with his Morphling, always copying the SB whenever there was a full-on engagement.

TSM hasn't been what they were just a few months ago and from what everybody else has been witnessing so far in this TI tournament, Team Spirit seemed to have replaced them as the team to beat now.
There's also Team Liquid and LGD, who are still looking solid up until now. I hope these two won't get knocked down early in the playoffs because they are the only teams that can put pressure on Team Spirit.

How much points did you give? I speculate it might be -10 points? It might be difficult, however, it is not impossible.
I only went for -6.5, but the missed field goal in the first half killed my chances.

I have the Cowboys -1.5 for this week's MNF. The public and the sharps are all on the Chargers, but I think this is a recovery game for the Cowboys after losing badly to the 49ers last week. I also thought of adding the under, but with the defense of these two teams, it could still go over.

Edit: Winner, even with the Cowboys taking the lead you can't be too comfortable. lol

Those couple of weeks took so long, anyway, i'm happy season 3 is already here.  Cheesy

The handicap choice for the AC Milan question got me confused. It means they'll cover the handicap even if they lose, right? Or is it the other way around, where they have to cover by winning two or more goals since they're the slight favorites for this match?

967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: October 16, 2023, 03:29:56 AM
You are right on track with this, Spain only scored 1 goal and it wasnt even Morata

I bet on 1st half draw on this and got them. Personally still think that Spain sucks so bad but especially on their last two games as they were struggling to even score some goals
That Spain MOTD was a bad loss as Morata almost had a goal in the first half and was taken away due to offsides.

Today's MOTD (Belgium vs Sweden) seems solid as Belgium faces Sweden at home and already beat them on the road 3-0, and they paired it with Lukaku anytime goalscorer, which should hit when he already has nine goals out of the sixteen from the team. I still don't recommend putting a lot on this MOTD because the downside here is that Belgium already qualified for EURO, so there's not much pressure to get a win here.

@ralle14. However, it appears that it will be the Bills that are having difficulties on winning against the Giants. I am sharing @morvillz7z's frustration because I have James Cook in my fantasy league and on a very important week hehehe.

It also appears that Josh Allen is not the same player when he was written by sports news outlets to be an MVP for the last 2 seasons before this.
The game is a bit ugly as both teams struggle when they start to go near the end zone. The Bills don't look like a favorite atm with a turnover at the start and then that missed field goal attempt.

I'm starting to think my bet is already dead because I don't think they can cover the spread with this type of performance.

Edit: They gave the ball back again as I was posting this.  Tongue I thought this would be an easy win but I guess we're in for a ride and maybe even an upset if the Bills don't wake up in the second half.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Drake's Curse. on: October 16, 2023, 12:52:36 AM
He's been losing some of his bets, and I remember others mentioned fading him because of his luck. That big bet probably doesn't mean much for him since he's partnered with Stake, and we've seen other influencers place big bets like they're nothing to them.

It's understandable why he took it since that's where the value is when Paul was the big favorite for this match but an unexpected DQ happened.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: October 16, 2023, 12:01:25 AM
I was thinking about adding the 49ers to my slip 💀...but decided against it. With the injuries to McCaffrey and Deebo, as well as the missed game-winning FG, i'm sure folks who had the 49ers in their survivor pools, or parlays are now beyond pissed. I didn't see it coming.
Good job on avoiding a bullet from the 49ers.  Cheesy The bookies are probably cashing in on that upset when i've seen so many bettors share their parlays that include the 49ers.

I'm still going for the same betbuilder play (alternate handicap+ total) because I still like the under for this match but on a slightly higher number in case the Bills' offense can't be stopped.

@ralle14 : what do you think about this mate? You seems to be having tendency to keep on winning this MOTD specials though
I also prefer to skip the MOTD, but I see Spain as a value pick when they need the win to widen the gap against Norway in the standings.

I'm not confident like the France MOTD because I still remember Spain failing me before, but it's more worrying for Norway when they already gave up four goals at home.

They picked Morata for the ATGS, which should increase the chance of the MOTD to hit, as he's the top scorer for Spain with four goals. I'd bet on the Spain MOTD only with a small stake because Morata can still fail to find a goal when it's a road match.

That games was pretty bad.  Kansas city didn't even play good and it never really was in doubt.  Not sure what happened to russ but ever since he collected his bag he seems disinterested at times.  He had a swagger with the cheifs that he is missing.  Something tells me there is a lot going on on that clubhouse.  I'm gonna be betting against Denver a lot this year lol.
After he moved to the side of the Broncos, I agree that he doesn't look like the same threatening quarterback who used to play with the Seahawks.

Looking at their next couple of matches, I might also hop in on the fade train as they face the Chiefs again.

The only confident play I have in mind for this week is the 49ers alternate handicap (-5 or 6) and combine it with the alternate under (45 or 46) to push the odds close to even.

Both teams have a solid defense, but the Browns will struggle to score with their QB (Watson) out.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: October 13, 2023, 03:09:17 PM
Scotland failed us yesterday, but still, it's a decent attempt when their expected goal was higher than one while only having one SOG.

I like today's MOTD (France vs Netherlands) now that the ATGS they picked for France's MOTD is Mbappe, who currently has four goals and is the top scorer for their team. Earlier this week i've heard the others mention hopping on France before the odds go down because the Netherlands squad won't have some of their best players.

Here's what I have for the fourth day of the Worlds' Play-ins, and the matches today should be more one-sided when these losses could be a wake-up call for them. Also, I don't recommend putting much on this in case someone decides to tail because i've been on a bad losing streak recently.

GAM and R7 looked lifeless on their losses, but GAM should pick things up or at least get one map against R7, who I think is the worst team out of both groups. The DFM vs BDS series should be 2-0 for BDS when DFM doesn't have the best top lane anymore and it mattered during their series against CFO. I can't see an angle for BDS to lose when Adam will thrive at the top lane and carry the team again.

Not familiar with league Worlds tournament either but if it is on the same level as The Internationals of DOTA2 tournament event status but in the LoL realm of play. Those who are well versed in the tournament and teams are welcomed to discuss here while they are getting underway.
As from what ralle14 had already posted, they seem to be a major since markets are available to place bets on.
It's not a major but more of a TI version of LoL since only the best teams from each region receive a slot. I'm only betting on it because I thought it'd be more predictable, but it's been the other way around(three upsets out of the six series played).

Nothing beats pulling an all nighter betting on top tier dota 2 with 0 delay streams Cheesy
BOL on your bets and your sleep schedule.  Grin

I might do a bit of live bet on the games for tomorrow and use lower stakes until the next phase.

Monthly is out. No more wen monthly for this month.
I'm in the same VIP rank and received $30~ after wagering close to $10k for the last 30 days. It's good enough for me as I was expecting less after receiving an okay bonus from the weekly coupons these past few weeks.

With this small monthly it will be hard to get the remaining % to reach platinum 5. If I can't do it I deposit 150$ and just spam 1.01 bets on dice to get it. After that stake can s my a, playing at pinnacle then.
It's also why I still play here as my VIP progression is more than halfway through the next rank. Better claim that last VIP rank-up bonus before switching to another bookie.

Doesn't anybody else think Kansas City odds are deceiving or are the Denver Broncos just that bad to have them heavy underdogs priced at 5.54x?
Chiefs at 1.17x is even a bet to make because the profit margin is a sliver.
Maybe a betbuilder or even a high odds spreadline is worth it but not the ML on the Chiefs.

Here are the markets so you can make your selections and pick something resembling a valuable play:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/american-football/usa/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs-v-denver-broncos-651c6b52f2779c0001b80a36
I somehow think the same after the Chiefs looked shaky in their last two matches, but I don't see them being bad enough to lose against one of the worst teams like the Broncos.

The spread on the Chiefs felt too much for me and after watching the Jets game, i'd better buy some points to avoid stressing out on the spread, so I whipped up a bet builder and took the -3.5 spread together with the under 51.5 @2.10 (odds boost). I imagine the scoreline for this game would look similar to the Bears game and pray that the Chiefs' defense would hold the Broncos to maybe a couple of TD or field goals.

We're back to football MOTDs because the next three rounds of EURO Qualification matches will start today. I only sprinkled a bit on Croatia's MOTD because the player they picked for the ATGS leg might not hit when he hasn't scored one in the four games he played. After checking the match page, he's one of the players with the lowest odds for the ATGS market, and it looks too good to be true. I also have this BTTS bet between Scotland and Spain as my main pick. The odds are surprisingly decent at plus odds when both teams are sitting at the top of the standings.

980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a strategy to lose on: October 12, 2023, 02:04:15 AM
Expanding your luck doesn't make sense because it is not something you can control when it's more of a scenario that will eventually come randomly as you gamble. I understand why you don't recommend gambling all over the place, but it shouldn't have much of an impact when the same thing happens at some point in the future. There's no point in overthinking these luck-based games when even using the best strategy isn't always enough for gamblers to win their bets.
