961  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: AnonGPT.com | Complete Offers/Videos/Mining Anonymously For Cryptocurrency on: October 08, 2017, 10:01:09 PM
So, it just a coin created by yourself in order to pay people who do the task in your site? People could withdraw min 1000 AC which is worth BTC0.00119, right? if I complete a task, I get 1-2 Ac coin? It will takes at least 900 completed tasks to withdraw btc. There are so many similar sites which offer such things, and newbies will be interested, but the problem is you can't withdraw without mentioning the referrals to your friends as much as you can. All I can say is; it's not worth.
962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if bitcoin will become the main coin, what will happen to the money we are using on: October 07, 2017, 11:58:38 PM
There is a big different between bitcoin and fiat currency, and that is government backed. Fiat currency will stay around for centuries as long as the Country exist, government won't let their currency fade away. Bitcoin meant to be an alternative currency, even though bitcoin still in the early of its development, no one could predict what will happen in the future, whether bitcoin will be the major currency or still be an alternative currency due to some problems of bitcoin transactions.
963  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-04] Large Japanese Energy Supplier Adds Bitcoin Payments With a Discoun on: October 04, 2017, 11:43:06 PM
it would be very good if in my country I could pay the electricity bill, the water bill, the tv bill, the internet bill, with my bitcoins, but with this government of my country, this is a dream that will not be realized so soon.

Ok, you pay with your Bitcoins, and then what? Whether you're doing it with fiat or with Bitcoin, it doesn't make a difference at the end -> the bill(s) get paid anyway. The only way I see this become a viable option, is when people in certain countries don't have access to a bank account, or have to deposit cash in physical form at a certain service point, where they then wire the money to whatever business for you. Or perhaps I am too spoiled with the financial infrastructure here in the western world that offers ultimate convenience and usability, and for that reason not really see the point of this. May I know where you come from? Perhaps that will shed some light on why you like this bit of news so much.

In western countries may offers ultimate convenience financial structure and you can pay every bill easily, but what happens in Japan is something else, but consider it as a good idea. Bitcoin was meant to be an alternative payment method, so Japanese people make it happen. They just offer one of many ways to pay your bills, whether you want to pay with cash, bank transfer or whatever, in the end, it get paid. For bitcoiners, it's another experience and a good achievement where you can spend bitcoin easily and accepted everywhere.
964  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Did Bitmain just declare war on BTC? on: October 03, 2017, 03:51:07 AM
Bitmain is a private company - they're free to sell their hardware for whatever they like, fiat, btc BCH, LTC, whatever.

They don't owe "allegience" to anyone or any coin. If people don't like their payment options, just don't buy from them.
You're right, unfortunately. Main point of them doing this is to stimulate people to buy BCC, and then to buy whatever hardware from Bitmain ~ everything they do has a deeper level of dark motive for them to achieve something.

It's basically them abusing their major position in this market, but due to the lacking competition, people don't have much options to go for as alternative, and Bitmain is well aware of that.

The only thing that people can do who don't agree with this, is to not buy anything from Bitmain, ever again. If enough people do this, then the pressure will be on Bitmain's side to bring back Bitcoin as payment option.

For the next batch which shipping will starts in late November at a cost of $1,265 each, Bitmain only accept Bcash.
If people speculate to increase the price of Bcash, so it would be good for Bcash holders, but I don't think it would be significantly due to this way of essentially “forcing miners” to buy Bitcoin Cash to pay for the hardware, but most miners should have BCash in their wallet as well, so it's not politically to pump Bcash price. Why they only accept BCash? Maybe because BCash potentially easier to trade for fiat after China’s recent crackdown on exchanges or it's not easy to met one hour limit payment  with bitcoin when the network is congested.
965  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin next Target: $4600, $4700 or $4800? on: October 03, 2017, 03:02:40 AM
Bitcoin price is in continuous uptrend and trading at $4,345.93. Will BTCUSD cross $4650- 4700 level by the end of this week?

Yes, my target is $4600, $4700, $4800 by the end of this week. How? Check the article for more information: https://atozforex.com/news/02-08-october-bitcoin-technical-analysis/

Suggestions and comments appreciated  Smiley

Current price is $4414 on preev and Bitfinex, but OKCoin's bitcoin rate at $4436, slightly higher than other global exchanges.
Bitcoin price expected to increase during this month due to many good news about bitcoin development and acceptance across the world, especially we're facing BTG hard fork which may ended as another free coin for everyone who hold bitcoin. That's why people willing to buy bitcoin as much as they can in order to get more BTG at the day of distribution. Let's see how much bitcoin could achieve today and tomorrow, and I guess bitcoin will reach $5000 by the end of this month.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Fork on: October 03, 2017, 02:31:21 AM
Is Bitcoin Gold "segwit2x"?
No, "bitcoin gold" is what formerly called itself bitcoinGPU.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2133536.0
Notice the funny little "ICO" part?

Yes, just noticed about it BTCGPU and ICO part, they are intend to use GPU mining, and disabled ASICs in order to decentralize mining industry which is a good point of this hard fork coin. It become uncertain whether people will get free BTG or you should join the ICO presale, LoL Grin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2124256.0
But the point is whether people interested to buy this coin? as most people thought it will be another free coin, the value of BTG will be determined by how much money invested into BTG or just like BCash or Byteball free distribution. Still unclear
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ban in South Korea on: October 03, 2017, 02:09:37 AM
South Korea did not ban Bitcoin. They recently however decided to ban ICOs. This doesn't come as much of a surprise seeing that ICOs are unregulated but in truth aren't really different to IPOs. Plenty of new coins were being developed overnight and trying to maximise on the profits they could raise from ICOs so in truth it was probably a smart move.

Obviously, here the news about Korean ban Initial Coin Offering (ICO) : https://news.bitcoin.com/south-korea-bans-initial-coin-offerings/
South Korea’s Financial Services Commission has announced that all initial coin offerings (ICOs) will be banned in the country.
All kinds of initial coin offerings (ICO) will be banned as trading of virtual currencies needs to be tightly controlled and monitored.

Just like China regulators have did before, banned all ICO due to unregulated and uncontrolled crowd funding will lead to great loss for investors.
But, it's doesn't mean they ban Bitcoin, two different things because ICO is presale of altcoins or tokens.
What people should know is bitcoin is growing rapidly in South Korea, some news about it : https://news.bitcoin.com/south-korea-takes-steps-to-regulate-digital-currencies/ - https://news.bitcoin.com/south-korea-prepares-bill-to-provide-legal-framework-for-cryptocurrencies/
And look at Bithumb (Korean exchanges) trading volume $228,390,760 ; https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/ Big 3 after Bitfinex and Bittrex
968  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN]BitPicker.io - Unique News Aggregator, Social Feeds, Compare Prices, +more! on: October 03, 2017, 01:47:39 AM
This is awesome site, have registered for bug testing and feedback and for everyone who interested, 21 days left to register.
I remember the v1 of BitPicker and ever suggested to add more exchanges Smiley, wondering how much exchanges will be listed on v2, as the most famous are Bittrex and Kraken, and I have recommended to add BitHumb but this time I recommend bitFlyer as they want to expand into US market this fall https://news.bitcoin.com/worlds-largest-bitcoin-exchange-bitflyer-expands-into-us-market/. Japan has become the most friendly and powerful house for bitcoin development due to has been legalized in there, so it will be a good for everyone who interested about bitcoin arbitrage trading.
969  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2017-10-01] Roger Ver Bets $4 Million on SegWit2x Hard Fork on: October 03, 2017, 01:12:04 AM
its called Bitcoin Gold :
https://www.coindesk.com/first-cash-now-gold-another-bitcoin-hard-fork-way/
https://news.bitcoin.com/a-closer-look-at-the-suspicious-activity-involved-with-the-bitcoin-gold-fork/

but Ver's Lament is a good name too  Grin
no idea why ,probably wants free money and all the talks about "decentralisation" and such
are the usual Ver's code words for greed and egoitism

$4 million bet on the SegWit2x blockchain called Bitcoin Gold (BTG), but core developers have been taken steps to ensure BTG hard fork become another altcoin. People have been through such situation before when BCash launched, its price could reached over $1000 for a while before get dumped massively after most trading platforms and  exchanges allow to trade BCash.
Bitcoin Gold protocol has available code on Github which will use the Equihash algorithm used by the altcoin Zcash rather than bitcoin’s original SHA256. Yes, it will be different with Bitcoin, with all of the advantage, but the questions is whether people consider BTG as the best version of current Bitcoin, or just a threat for bitcoin and will be dumped just like Bcash. Only time will tell whether Roger Ver's BTC250  or Charlie Lee's 250 BTG will be more profitable in the future.
970  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day Trading on: October 03, 2017, 12:46:28 AM
Based on my experiences with daytrading crypto I can tell you it almost never ends well. Most profit in crypto comes from long term holding. Look at any coin/token graph since its start and you will notice the gains almost always come in exponential form. With that said, daytrading actually makes little sense when you can instead by small amounts and simply hold them to make large multiple on your investment without and work, stress or hassle.

Day trading only works if Op aim to trade altcoins instead of bitcoin due to altcoin prices seems fluctuate significantly, even price changes as much as 1000 satoshi will be profitable if you buy it in huge amount, strength in numbers. On the other hand, bitcoin price only fluctuate within $50-$100 per day, which mean you can't get profits more than $10 with $100-$200 initial capital.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lots of Scammers Here on: October 02, 2017, 11:59:41 PM
There are many people who intend to scam others by pretending to develop a profitable project.
But there are some clues to identify their act, without legit evidence about the project, it's more likely as scam.
Even ICOs project without legal approvement from authority could be ended loss for investors due to devs team fail to achieve their goals.
972  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: asicgear.com is SCAM on: October 02, 2017, 11:46:49 PM
asicgear.com is same as ebitgear.com and ibitgear.com.
all website are SCAM.
don't send your money.

Thanks for notify, but we already know about it and all newbies should aware of such cloud mining or an easy way to doubled your funds, all of them are likely ended as scam. Most investment into those sites were made by people who just know about bitcoin and looking for a way to earn it easily without experience about investment. Once again, there is no an easy way to earn bitcoin through cheap-low costs investment, just buy bitcoin from an exchange and hold it for long term, then you will get profits in the future.
973  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC ban is just Gold ban reloaded on: October 02, 2017, 11:36:24 PM
i still don't know who banned bitcoin though Cheesy

all i can see is ICO being banned in some countries and a couple of services in China being closed because they did not have any license. (a business without a license must be closed).
where does "bitcoin" ban comes in i still don't know.

There are few countries that have banned bitcoin for their citizens, trade it and you may be ended in jail.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory
Yes, China didn't ban bitcoin, but their act seems like want to, fortunately they just want to regulate cryptocurrency to avoid huge amount of money sent abroad, illegal transactions, and all of their reasons. But I don't think they are preparing for a big war, only because they want to regulate exchanges and crypto.
974  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin eventually disappear... on: October 02, 2017, 11:17:18 PM
There will be a fixed number if Bitcoins, and people, because of human error, will accidentally lose Bitcoins every now and then.

This must mean that Bitcoin will eventually seize to exist? Or at least shrink to minimal amounts, when it shrinks to a certain level, it will no longer be useful.

Is this correct?

You should use 'search function' or google search engine before ask such question, it's obviously and people knows about it, already discussed many times in this forum. Even there are few people who have burned their bitcoin by sent it to burn address deliberately, because the value of the rest will be worth slightly more. We don't know how much bitcoin that has been lost since it can't be accessed anymore due to many reasons.
975  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-02] Goldman Shuns JPMorgan's Dimon - Plans Bitcoin Trading Operation on: October 02, 2017, 10:56:32 PM
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon isn't a trusted person because what he said about bitcoin worth nothing but they buy in the dip at the last crash in September due to China bad news. Even Goldman Sachs ever prdicted bitcoin can't rise up more than $4800, but they just lucky about the crash.
Whether they are involved or not, bitcoin value will constantly increase, but the most annoying thing is FUDs that comes out from their statement.
976  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: TheTokener.com - The ultimate list of ICO's on: October 01, 2017, 11:55:57 PM
Yes, there are bunch of sites mentioned about ICO and listed all of them. But, it's not easy to maintain without enough income, right?
So, when an ICO want to be promoted, should they pay a fee to your site? Or it will be free for now?
I like the way you manage the list and it's a nice user interface, it's the best site to check ICOs so far, +1
977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When should we buy and sell? on: October 01, 2017, 11:28:47 PM
You can share what you know?

Honestly, there is no certain answer set to the stone about trading, as there are a lot of coins and different prices, different devs and different interest for each one. in general, you should check the price all the time, check the charts to know the lowest and highest point, buy in the dips and set your % profit, like 5-10% to sell the coins. But, if there is another news/information/prediction if the coin will rise further, then hold it for a certain time. For example;  we know that bitcoin ATH is $5000 and its price was $3500 few days ago, buy it and set % of the profits, even sell it right now will be profitable, but hold it for long term until it reach $10K will be more valuable.
978  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinMarketCap Price Ticker on: October 01, 2017, 11:04:46 PM
Atleast 3 similar projects were posted in this thread in the last few days. Why everyone is so obsessed with coin-market-cap ?

Indeed, I have seen many people keep mentioning CMC and this site become more popular in this forum to check coins prices, which is good.
But, in the process, there are a lot of people trying to create their own app or extension in this case to notify, it's not bad as long as there is no malware inside or will harm you, but what is the point if I could check it without a notification as there are other bot on telegram that will notify through your phone, instantly, everywhere at any time.
979  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise to 4300 $ on: October 01, 2017, 09:48:26 PM
BTC BTC rise  to 4300, What do you say about this spike ?

Nothing special, bitcoin recover and it's better than the price keep declining due to fear and uncertainty news about China regulations.
People will be happy if bitcoin price could recover to $5000 and reach another ATH, just like in Zimbabwe exchange which bitcoin price rise to $6150 due to economic crisis. Zimbabwe is suffering from severe economic hardships similar to the inflation and currency crisis in Venezuela.
Whenever economic crisis occurs, bitcoin will arise and become the way around it.
Meanwhile, people are waiting for China government which is expected to issue regulations about cryptocurrency on October 1st, we will see Chinese  regulations implemented and how this will influence the market once again.
980  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-30] China Is Going To Regulate Cryptocurrencies on: September 30, 2017, 11:50:55 PM
Cryptocurrency as virtual property, which mean everyone who have bitcoin and altcoins should pay taxes, just like in US that IRS has been regulated it. Well, it is better than nothing, I guess they will regulate exchanges and come back in 3-4 months alter with some licensed exchanges, but on October 1st is faster than I thought, maybe they do not want out of business for a long time. Hopefully China government legalized bitcoin as legal payment as well, just like in Japan.
