961  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💸Buy-Sell BFG on BetFury | 🔥Fury Pharaoh - New In-house Slot on: September 09, 2023, 10:41:58 AM
Betfury announced the 46th BFG token burning
~
Total burnt amount BFG tokens: 1 646 170 932 BFG (32,92% of the total supply)

https://betfury.io/news/bfg-burning-46

As for me, this is another confirmation that all monthly BFG token burns are just marketing tricks and nothing more. If we compare this burning with the previous one, the difference is only 0.06% of the total BFG emission. This is too insignificant because if they continue burning tokens at this rate, it will take them more than 23 years to reach the mark of 50% of the total emission. It doesn't make much sense because BFG and Betfury will most likely lose their relevance over such a long period.

Token burning is actually only a marketing ploy regardless of the percentage they are burning.  This is a buzzword to attract the interest of the investors making them think that the token will eventually have a higher value due to the omission of token from the circulation.  At least the team is true to their word that they will be burning tokens in scheduled time, unlike other projects that promise this kind of token burn and yet they just do it once or twice then they stop.
When I read that there is burning of tokens, yes, it excites me, but seeing that its price has not changed much, it is something that disappoints me, but it can be added, it does not matter, I tell myself, there could be great opportunities with this token, but When reviewing, they have put the token as an exchange that is worth it, an exchange that is centralized, well that does disappoint me, I have a few tokens, because the truth is that I have sold it with all the sadness of the world, but I don't see that There is an emotion or something that tells me that this is going to get better, that this is going to be bigger, that's what I say, they don't take advantage of Casino Tokens.

if nothing else, this is one of the casino tokens that is actually surviving in the trading market. the burning may have not helped in improving its price but the team is following thru their plans. now, they need to think about other services that can actually alleviate its value in the market. they need to take advantage the fact that their token is still supported by many gamblers.

At Least for now they are doing something like another round of token burning since it can help lessen their supplies and maybe in future they might not struggle if they do some good updates or maybe even a buyback option then it can help to get a good pump. For now we can understand that not everyone is impress with this announcement but we should support and see the long term effect of their future actions.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 08, 2023, 11:50:13 PM
A lot of talk about Christian Wood and I agree it is a good signing, but I still don’t think he starts or even replaces Rui when it comes to minutes. Rui had a great season last year and I think Christian Wood will likely get garbage minutes in comparison. I still say he’s an insurance policy in case Anthony Davis goes down.
More of a back-up Center for AD. That's his role. When Davis is on the bench, he will be the one who will sub depending on the situations.

I agree that Wood has been a great piece when he's in the Rockets many years ago, and played well there, but ever since he got traded, he became a role player, and sometimes he doesn't even play. Like what you're feeling, Rui already had a terrific season since he got traded to the Lakers. Just imagine if the Lakers' roster after the all-star is what their roster is when the season started. I doubted that they will just be at the 7th spot at the end of the season. From 13th at the start, to ended the season at 7th. I will not be surprised if this current roster of the Lakers now will be a championship contender, and as for Wood, he will be the one replacing Davis if just in case he got injured, so this might be a good thing for him to showcase his skills.
I highly doubt that he would be a backup at all. AD is a natural PF, and he has talked about how much he hates playing at the Center position not because of offense, but because at Defense he has to guard really big guys and he doesn't do that well, he is a blocker, not a post-up stopper.

This means that we could see Wood and AD playing together a lot of minutes. Obviously there will be moments when one of them is playing and the other is not, I do not think that they will be benched together and put to game together at the same times, but I do believe that the minutes they spend together will be more than they spend sitting down. Lakers do not have a proper C right now and Wood could fill that role very well.

Maybe for that statement they get a legit center with low risk since they can wave him out easily since the given contract is low if they didn't get good chemistry with Wood. For now they already have solid roster so I guess many are convince that this is a championship team already so hopefully they will not get a huge upset and exit on early rounds since this is really embarrassing knowing that they are the one create a big trades and roster changes.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only good coins are listed on top exchange? on: September 08, 2023, 11:00:58 PM
It should be the other way around. Invest before they get listed because that's when a sell-off will happen. Whales are wise, once they know the coin they bought is listed in an exchange that can handle an enormous amount of withdrawal, they will go for it and sell everything they got which will lead to the value of the coin going down. I've seen this many times happened before and I know it is still happening now.
What we can do is do it before they can. This is why monitoring every movement of the coin we invested in is crucial especially if they are not listed yet. It will be dumped so hard if we take a long time to sell it, we are either in ROI or worse in the dust.
Where it was listed is a very important matter to consider because that will also affect the future of the project and possible ROI.
I have had an experience before where I bought some coins during their pre-sale period as they were promised to get listed in reputable exchanges, so I jumped and took the opportunity but unfortunately, that was a broken promise and made a lot of investors lose their money. But now, I realize that was a big mistake, I'd rather be buying coins that are already in the exchange whether it was on the top or not for at least we have the chance to sell them if needed.

But we cannot call automatically that they are good because their coins has been listed on reputable exchange since anything could happen especially we cannot control the minds of the devs so trade with proper caution is always we need to do so that we can be aware of possible outcome and can assure that we are always ready to trade it then take profit if anything good or bad happen for that coin. Expect that broken promises made because that's how dev attract their investor so you need to be more smart than them to avoid getting frustrated about things not being followed by them.
964  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My decision on bitcoin on: September 08, 2023, 11:36:08 AM
I recently created a post asking if I should buy bitcoin now or wait for the dip, and majority of the response I got from the post, advised that I should buy now rather than waiting for the dip due to its volatile nature, and I'm satisfied with this response and I'm willing to bear the risk.
Reason for all these questioning, I have a dream of becoming a long term bitcoin holder but, dreams aren't achieved with words alone, an action is needed for the start up, so I have decided to sell one of my less used phone for the purpose of buying bitcoin.
I'm really eager to purchase my first bitcoin in satoshi.

How much is the cost of your phone is you sell it? Since if the selling price is low then you might just waste your time buying bitcoin now and hold it for long term since this action is best to do by investors who have big capital to spend. Since they can decently earn a lot even if the percentage of the movement is low. So maybe think for more better decision since having bitcoin is not only about holding since you can do a lot of things and generate more for long term.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is horse racing so unpopular here and a bit of extra feedback on: September 08, 2023, 10:23:51 AM
I think this has something to do with mutualism of interest and culture. Not all countries are having place for horses which makes sense that it will have limited popularity. This is the same as with cockfighting and other gambling games which has an origin. The fact that most of us are familiar with traditional gambling games, then it would make sense for such games to have more players. Also with interest itself; we cannot control other players to play games we are playing 'coz we have different preferences. Some are into what's usual and some are not. For sure there are other gambling games which has a country of origin and are not recognized by us 'coz we have different culture and tradition in the first place.

Tradition may play a vital role on why a sports became famous so maybe this is one of the factor why horse racing is not so familiar. Majority of people is commonly hook with ball games and this is always features on national television that's the reason why horse racing got less exposure to people. Also not all can adopt the culture of horse racing places since there are group of people doesn't like this since for them its animal cruelty or abuse.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 07, 2023, 11:52:53 PM
As much as I want Slovenia to win, I also think Canada will have a better advantage here but who knows, we all know the Luca magic and it might happen this afternoon in our local time. USA is sitting already in a good position, and I believe the top three teams here to end the FIBA will be USA, Serbia and Canada, better to have your bet ready as we are not entering into a more exciting round.

Canada is surprisingly strong this time and they managed to shut Luka and his team to get to the semi-finals, thankfully They weren't against the USA but it would be nice for them to play in the finals and it would be the best game ever in the FIBA world cup ever. But honestly, Germany is still strong but Team USA is stronger this time, They wrap this up quickly and go to the finals.

Team USA will have this one in the bag and proceed to finals. They have good ball rotation and handling across the board and no one is trying to be the face of the game, which is pretty good to me. Canada also has the same mindset, hence why the managed to edge Slovenia. What I don't like on Slovenia's play is that they heavily rely on Luka to do the play or shooting and not much ball rotation action happening. They have solid players with a strong inside but they aren't utilizing it that much.

That's the lapses of Slovenia and they already know the result if they rely to much on their superstar since at the end they fell short if they face a team which rotate the ball and can do good defense. Canada is so strong but I doubt they can beat USA if they reach to finals since aside from youth those guys from US is so skilled and can able to adjust on each situation they face. Although they lose from Slovenia but for sure they learn a lot from it and will not downplay their opponent and remain in focus.
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jakarta is in a pollution emergency, Is it caused by crypto mining? on: September 07, 2023, 10:24:36 PM
Indonesia, especially Jakarta is in a pollution emergency, Many say that this is caused by steam power plants where the fuel is coal. And, sadly I heard also on my social media local that this pollution is also caused by crypto-mining, I debated and rejected it opinion because crypto-mining in Indonesia is not much like other countries where their air is still clean today.

So what do you though, is crypto mining become a big problem of pollution?

Why would they only blame it on crypto mining? Is this the only one industry running on that country?.

For sure there's a lot of factors on why pollution happens and the main cause is negligence of people towards proper disposal of their waste, factories, transportation and other more. For sure there's only few people do crypto mining and it does not create big effect to environment. Maybe those people saying things like that is ignorant on the information they reads that's why maybe they always come up with wrong conclusions.
968  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 07, 2023, 12:05:58 PM

well, if the casino is already established and strongly running indeed that there will be no bankrupt to happen , but those newly operated and sadly experienced a Huge  win from new players, in that sometimes comes the dishonesty  from the site and turning into not paying and become a scam one.
but with Roobet.com that has already tons of funds inside, Am not sure if  any whales can make them bankrupt , not at least from my knowledge and understanding .
There are lot of such casinos turning scam after accumulating funds from players through lot of ways but we should focus more on our Roobet discussion as they are doing quite well and running smoothly from past few years so hopefully they will do it in the future with more boost.

What other people worried about that something might happen here most likely not gonna happen since they can be called as institution in gambling scene already and we see a lot of challenges overcome by this casino so expect that we can see more success from them for more years. They are good for maintaining their promotions and that's the reason they remain successful since to many gamblers trust them and maybe declare as one of the best casino exist so far.
969  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why newbie may find it difficult to rank up in this forum on: September 07, 2023, 09:59:43 AM
Setting up some wrong goals without researching for more deeper knowledge about how the forum works. They are just seeking for opportunity but lazy to have good improvements that's why they always fell short when important things comes up. Majority of newbies are in bounty section or sections where they think money is there that's why its hard for them to rank up since they are not contributing anything nor create good post that's why its hard for them to earn some merits then rank up.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your perception about crypto games? on: September 06, 2023, 03:19:40 PM
There are varied crypto games we tend to be fond of that does rely on bullrun to maintain playbase. Another words they perform fine in bull market.

What are your views or perceptions about such games.

If you mean NFT games much better if you move this thread on altcoin discussion since this topic is not all about gambling.

But rather to answer your question is that what we can expect if the ecosystem is built on hype that's the reason why they are only good while bull run is occuring and they turn bad when market is on bearish state. So better learn to familiarize them and don't hype by any news about them since even if there's positive update if market is down most of those crypto games will experience a downfall.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to identify shitcoins? on: September 06, 2023, 12:23:40 PM
for me, the coins that don't keep up with bitcoin's movement are shitcoins

No its not always like that since there are coin pump when bitcoin goes down and coins dump when bitcoin goes up since it will depends on how the creator of those tokens join the hype. If they are just there created that coin for scamming expect that it will dump no matter what the current movement of bitcoin happen.

Just look at this signs if you want to spot shitcoins.

To good to be true pumps claim
Fake community
No clear roadmap or they don't follow what is actual written on their whitepaper.
Generic names idea or anything just for hype.

This are few indicators you can check.
972  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: September 06, 2023, 10:43:07 AM
I think it is much better if you could somehow work it out one way or another. This means that contacting customer support is the best way to do it because they will be getting the ticket in their system that way and can't close it until it is solved, and that's what they will aim at doing, so you will get help.
The team can respond towards it but think he might be just putting false allegations against them judging from the trust ratings but yeah the last information and decisions depend on the team and I doubt they would do anything wrong unless some users abuse the terms.
I think their job should be to shoot down any type of fake allegations against them as well. If someone comes here and talks about them like they are doing something wrong, rollbit has to come up and say that they are not doing anything wrong and they are doing the right thing at the end.

I believe that is the most important thing and we should not be really caring about it at all when someone just comes in and complains, we should be only to care about it when there is a proof of it. Unless someone comes with a proof that they have been wronged, then I am not going to believe them. Some people just come here and talk, I can write anything I want as well, I can say I am actually Joe Biden, would you believe me? We need either proof, or no need to believe.
Every online forum is like a battlefield for image, and when false accusations come up, companies should act quickly to protect themselves.  Even though I agree that accusations without proof are useless, the same can be said about businesses. If Rollbit or any other online gambling site says they're honest, where's THEIR proof? A lot can be gained by being open about processes, licenses, and audits. Not everyone who complains on a website has the means to back up what they say. What if it was up to the companies to show their legitimacy in a way that a skeptic could trust?

The gamblers playing on the site are the ones who can say if the casino is trustworthy or not. Because it's futile even the particular site is claiming they're honest if the majority of their gambler's had a negative experience playing on their site. Well, there's no perfect casino but it's a different matter if one really intended to just scam their players.

Anyway, the representative already answered the complaints against them and also willing to cooperate to any third party (or escalate the matter to their licensor) so they can provide proofs that the accusation is false.

The important matter there is the casino representative is cooperative when there's issue surfacing around and so far they are really good in that area that's the reason why those past accusation has been buried out since this has been taken care by their management.
Also I doubt they have plan to ruin their reputation since their success and business profitability is more heavier to believe than those some fake accusation posted by new created accounts.
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learning from those who have experience on: September 05, 2023, 11:42:04 PM
I want to ask those of you who have a hard addiction experience in gambling and then you can treat it yourself, and today still playing gambling but with the principle of good management and financial management in gambling.
I want to know how you break away from the addiction, you can mention the actions taken or what kind of steps? And how long do you need time to break away from the addiction that has been experienced?

"I want to find out because I think your experience in the case as I mentioned will be useful for readers, especially for me personally"

Actually money is the main reason why majority stops or aid their addiction since if you don't have anything to spend and you life became miserable for sure realize all the wrong deeds you do then try to correct it. I experience this so better set some amount you can afford to gamble since by this way we can limit ourselves to became more greedy and by this little discipline we do everyday for sure we get used to it and avoid gamble excessively.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gala - is it over or will it recover? on: September 05, 2023, 02:24:32 PM
I am invested in Gala and there has been a lot of bad news recently with many investors either worried or selling.

I am currently holding what I have and will buy more if we really do fall lower but I am just wondering what others are doing?

We are only a few more months away from the bull run so feel it is worth holding.

Is Gala still a good investment or not anymore? See link below

https://beincrypto.com/gala-games-legal-dispute/

Depends on how they convince new or old investor to pour some money again on their project. Since if they cannot accumulate people to buy their token then expect that the same scenario will exist, so if you cannot handle the consequences of the current situation much better if you do cut loss. But if you feel that there's constant update happening like good plans set to pump and raise the interest of people then maybe hold if you can still able to do it.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is KYC mandatory in CEX? on: September 05, 2023, 11:54:11 AM
Privacy is important when it comes to Cryptocurrency, so why do exchanges like Bitget require KYC (Know Your Customer) for all users, even those who only want to get airdrops? I thought KYC should be for those transacting many Bitcoins, Is it really necessary for everyone?

Because of regulation.

If they want to target global crowd especially on US or strict countries they need to pass some requirements that can make their business legitimate and it includes KYC to their costumers.

But if the CEX doesn't care much about global markets and target only certain areas where law is not much strict as first world countries have then some of them doesn't require KYC.

Although its good not to submit KYC but you also need to know or consider the risk since its more risky if there's no government regulate those exchange.
976  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: September 05, 2023, 10:04:43 AM
On the topic of the $40 000 000 that were hacked from Stake.... guess who is going to pay for those losses. (Expect a crazy RTP for a while folks)  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I believe they've got kind of a money pillow for such case, like SAFU in Binance Cheesy Or they will just decrease budget for their promotions and that is it. Anyway, I sure that they are not totally newbies in crypto industry and would do their best to catch that guy who has got different kind of jackpot worth 41 millions Cheesy The most important is that users did not lose their balances and withdrawals are open. That theft act is casinos headache, not users.

Not losing the costumers fund is the most important thing there and for question who will  pay for those losses.I guess that maybe a charge for being relax on their security and now they are waken up that no system is safe after all measures they do. Provably they might spend more to strengthen up their security and I guess the budget for marketing will decreased due to this incident.
977  Economy / Economics / Re: Good and Bad at the same time - Mega entities hold $ 14 billions in Bitcoin on: September 04, 2023, 10:22:42 PM
Reading through the coin desk's newsletter today I came across news about Robin Hood and it's holding analysis. Apparently the HOOD company has reached Top #3 in the list of who holds the most Bitcoin in the world.

Current stats:

Binance : ~ $6.3 billion
Bitfinex : ~ $4.3 billion
Hood     : ~ $ 3.0 billion

That's a lot of money under one roof of each entity mentioned above. It should make us think whether this is good or bad to Bitcoin economy? Since these much Bitcoin are under their custody they have full control of it and we have already seen what happens when such entities get hacked for their data leak. The case of FTX is the biggest lesson for us.

However, having that much significant amount can also be good for bitcoin economy since it is in holding for long terms. It is like having that much less Bitcoin in the circulation. It may or may not have an effect on the demand and supply but I wanna ask, does it have any?

Robinhood Revealed to be Third-Largest Bitcoin Holder With $3B in BTC
Robinhood transferred some 118,300 bitcoin to the wallet from several other smaller wallets over a three-month period.

Investing and trading platform Robinhood (HOOD) holds over $3 billion in bitcoin (BTC) in a single wallet that attracted the holdings over several months, wallet data from Arkham Intelligence shows. This makes it the third-largest bitcoin holder behind crypto exchanges Binance and Bitfinex, which hold $6.4 billion and $4.3 billion worth of tokens on single wallets respectively.
The wallet previously gained notoriety among market watchers in the past few months as the identity of its owners sparked conversations and concerns about who the mysterious owner of such a large amount of bitcoin could be.

As of Monday, Robinhood has not publically commented on these holdings.
The transfers sparked speculations ranging from the bitcoin holdings belonging to financial behemoth BlackRock, which filed for a Bitcoin ETF earlier this year, to crypto exchange Gemini shifting its users’ holdings to a wallet.
Robinhood transferred some 118,300 bitcoin to the wallet from several other smaller wallets over a three-month period, data shows. These tokens are custodied by crypto trading firm Jump Trading, Arkham representatives confirmed to CoinDesk in a Telegram message.
All of these holdings are held on the Bitcoin blockchain. The first transactions were made on March 8, after which huge amounts of bitcoin were transferred until July 14, data from BitInfoCharts show.
Meanwhile, the holdings shed light on the extent of Robinhood’s bitcoin exposure despite low crypto trading volumes on its platform.
Source: Robinhood Revealed to be Third-Largest Bitcoin Holder With $3B in BTC

No surprise there. Crypto exchanges need MASSIVES of bitcoin to manipulate the market. Manipulation of billions (in terms of dollars), gives a huge income, both when the cryptocurrency grows and when it falls.

I hope you don't think they are just holding these huge sums for themselves ? If the exchanges bought bitcoin for example 60.000 dollars - the amount of holding is of course huge, but you can also calculate the loss, at today's price, provided that it is the amount of accumulation and not the amount for market manipulation.

If they care about those lose for sure they might not exist for long years and for sure they are still bullish with holding that balances since there business still doing good and might the amount hodl is use for series of manipulation cases.

One of the reason why we always see a price fall if one of this institution fall or scare people about possible collapse since they can manipulate people to do dumps due to that amount they hold which possibly throw out once bad faiths come with them.

A good way to help our children is to make sure that they can finish their school from prep to collage, buy their basic needs and also to make them sharp on challenges in life. If they are ready and fully grown up as a person then introduce bitcoin to them so that they can easily understand it on more realistic ways and also they have clear ideas about the risk so that they always go on right place especially when starting to deal with their investments on cryptocurrencies.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 04, 2023, 11:08:56 AM
Suddenly I'm seeing a lot of talk about the Suns trading Bradley Beal...  I don't even know if that's an option or something they would want, but I'm hearing names like Donovan Mitchell and James Harden.  I doubt the Suns would be willing to take on Harden as he's a huge risk and has already said he wants to be the number one option on whatever team he lands on, but Mitchell might be a legitimate option if they were trying to flip Beal.  I'd personally rather have Beal as I think he fits in better with other stars, but Mitchell is an elite player when it comes time to show it.

Mitchell would be a nice switch but doubt cavs would do that, and Harden just doesn't make any sense for the Suns.  Why would they already give up on Beal.  Where have ypu seen this chatter?  And last isn't there a set period of time that has to go by before he can be traded again?  If there is bad blood on that team already I'd be surprised.

Yes, that just don't make any sense because the Suns have poured enough resources to acquire Beal and then now they suddenly want to trade him so that they can make some space for Harden and Donovan. If it's Donovan, it would make sense but Harden? I don't think so. That man is already out of his prime, he can do some help but most of the time, he's just a star who is now a liability to any team that he lands on.

Well when they acquire Beal from the Wizards, it make no sense at all because of the huge contract that they have to inherit. But it seems the plan is to used him as leverage for future trade, for sure if there is a superstar that they want to trade, it won't be KD and not likely their franchise player in Booker.

So this is the only reason why the talks and the name of Beal suddenly pop up for a trade with Harden or even Donovan Mitchell. Sometimes it really doesn't make sense at all for teams to trade their superstars, it's a risk that the owners will have to take.

If it's Donovan Mitchell then I think it's worth it because acquiring Bradley Beal really hurt them because of his big contract like you've said, but I don't see any reasons why the Phoenix Suns would want to add James Harden in their roster, Mitchell would suffice. Harden's name might pop up in this rumored trade because of what he said against the Sixers but I don't think that it'll be a criteria for any team right now to acquire him because he's not that the same anymore.

Don't ever think that they need harden on the rooster since they are good team already. Considering adding him might create a bad atmosphere on the team knowing his attitude is not good if he didn't get want. Mitchell might be a good addition to them if he became a team player and can able to share the ball with his team mates but if he always want the ball in his hands maybe this is another fall down for them.

I remember when this is just started as how simple the entries was, but now? looking at those skills are truly amazing that looks professional works.
I have been following their contests from the beginning too and I observed a mix of simple and complex entries in all contests which most probably won't change at any point in the future.

Some of those simple entries are magnificent while some professional entries are boring. It's all very subjective at the end of the day.
Do you think they need some kind of rebranding of these art contest if they will ever make another one? How about other art rather than painting, drawing, digital drawings, handcrafts? I was thinking maybe some poems, haiku, music, photography, mascot, etc.? I think it's good if it will be changed every quarter something like that.

Might be a good idea but we don't know what will be the turn out of that suggestion so maybe its good to have a poll if majority of people would like to consider your suggestion or its ok to remain the same. But for me the current contest is good already and its just they need to specify the concept so that there will be no confusion and the artist can create a good art dedicated to season what Roobet trying to promote or celebrate.
