Well, there's always a time for everything. If your kids are quite young, let them enjoy their childhood. They're not late to know Bitcoin if they grow older. Because they have you as their parent who invest early and can pass the knowledge (and your holdings) to them as your heirs.

Anyway, in my case my eldest is already aware of Bitcoin because she is already a teenager. But her knowledge about it is still limited, just the basic on how she can use Bitcoin as currency. I think kids should be given some idea about Bitcoin. But care should be taken that the children do not suffer any harm in their studies. And especially if bitcoin is illegal in a country, don't teach bitcoin to kids in that country, you could be at risk. When our next generation learns about Bitcoin, the price of Bitcoin may not be the same as it is now, it may double. So I will buy Bitcoin for my child, thinking about my child's future.

Of course everyone who has children should give a good education about Bitcoin. Because in this world of technology, the future can be said to be dark for those who will stay behind from technology. And no parent wants their children to be left behind. Those who know about Bitcoin and hold Bitcoin will naturally profit faster than others.

a good idea although it is certainly only basic knowledge that we can give to children at an early age. but at least this can raise awareness for our children to get used to leaving money to invest. so their life in old age is not only to work hard to earn money just to make ends meet.

it can be stressful for children, but if we do it well, it can actually create a good habit. parents who know their own child's situation. whether they are ready with understanding related to Bitcoin or not. I myself, if I want to withdraw money for spending money for the house, always invite the children to go to the ATM (Fiat withdrawal) and I teach them how to use it to withdraw it, along with the instructions that must be followed. Without educating you child bitcoin on time, it will surely know about bitcoin, their is something in which I understand that will make any of our offsprings to know bitcoin without help of anyone. There is nothing bad to teach any child who is interested in learning about Bitcoin and its technology, but I will not suggest forcing children to learn Bitcoin by force. You said we are lucky to have learned about the existence of Bitcoin at a young age, but I don't think that is the case for most of us. If I should even say what gives most people the opportunity to know about Bitcoin early is that they are in a life of advancement of technology because of all this social media and the advantage of getting opportunities to expose themselves to technology, and even children that want to learn can get the information early through the internet. I mean it is a good thing to teach your children Bitcoin because it is just a waste if you're not going to at least try to teach this kind of investment in their lifetime. Bitcoin is just the thing in my experience that just changed my mindset when it comes to finances and because of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency I learned a lot about savings and investments, and I actually want to learn more about how I am going to earn more and achieve financial freedom.

For sure not everyone is going to like cryptocurrency and Bitcoin so you can't really force your children to learn Bitcoin, but I guess it is just a matter of time and how you handle your children since if you going to ask someone where they give attitude something like they always wanted to investment and save money they would probably say that they get it from their parents right. I agree with the OP that buying a few satoshis (or whatever coin) in order to hodl for your children is a good idea (always money you can afford to lose). Who knows when they have 5, 10 years, they may be worth a little fortune to cover his expenses and/or give him for custody when he get's to a certain age.

I have a little hw with a few sats and eth that may be worth nothing when the moment arrives, I'm aware, but there is the other possibility too.
