961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: September 28, 2023, 10:05:34 PM
Is it the game you started playing as a gambler that you still play till now?
Yeah, nothing has changed but aside from those there have been some additional.

Is there any gambler in this place who was used to playing a particular game before but never was successful winning or did not win enough and then made up their mind that it was time for a change in the game you gamble on.
When you say successful gambler, majority of us aren't and that's why everyone who's been gambling for years despite being successful or was able to win with a huge money won't stop.

And that will take the success if we're just talking about money here.

Which game did you change from, and what did you change to? how long did you play the game that you are deciding to stop playing because of the bad outcomes?
Until my money runs out and got no more bankroll, that's when I stop and that's what I guess the same for the rest.
962  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the bull-run plan. on: September 28, 2023, 08:05:36 PM
It's safe to say that there's no guarantee but if we're going to study the past when halving occurred, we can also conclude that there's really a rally after that happens.
Yes the tendency of having a Bitcoin price bull run after the halving is extremely high reasons being that the block sieze have been reduced and that will build up into scarcity and ultimate break out of new market height, so this is the reason that many always speculates and anticipate bull run after halving so you cant blame them for that.

But we are also already aware of the possibility of not having a bull run after the halving
The chances that there won't be a bull run after the halving is pretty low. And we're all just basing it on the history and how it happened in the past.

because there have been some cases when Bitcoin bull run comes before the Bitcoin halving so that is the volatility and the nature of Bitcoin no one can predict what the price will be, we can only speculates.
When was it? But yeah, no one can predict what exactly will happen.

Quote
Anyway, it's just a safe approach and expectation to say that it is not guaranteed when the halving comes.
I may likely not get you point in this statement, what is not guarantee when the halving come in your statement ?

Do you mean the bull run?
If yes then i will say you are right but if you mean the exact timing for Bitcoin networks halving then that have an estimated time frame which will be between march and April 2024.
Yes, I was talking about the bull run and just as you've said no one can predict what can happen in the future, while I am optimistic about the bull run coming soon.

But it's better to have that two expectation, one is the bull run and the second is nothing.
963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 28, 2023, 10:31:38 AM
Gambling definitely depend on luck. there is no strategy in gambling that can guarantee anyone a profit.
If that's the luck games, you surely don't any strategy there and just keeps on rolling the dice until you see your balance grow or run out.

here luck is needed more than skill.
There are certain activities as you gamble that you can use your skills like how knowledgeable you are in a sports. That's already a skill so it's not entirely depending on your luck.

But as said, that's depending on your preference.
964  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the bull-run plan. on: September 28, 2023, 08:42:50 AM
It's safe to say that there's no guarantee but if we're going to study the past when halving occurred, we can also conclude that there's really a rally after that happens.

Anyway, it's just a safe approach and expectation to say that it is not guaranteed when the halving comes.

But the hope is greater when it comes and we're all aware the effects of it based on the historical data that's being shown if you ever check them.
965  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Change e-mail in MERCATOX long wait no results on: September 28, 2023, 06:59:58 AM
I guess that you've got some altcoins that are only found there and you just can't leave it yet and that's why you're using it. Either you're aware of how bad the exchange was or you really have no idea on it because they're the only exchange that are supporting the altcoins that you have there.

What steps can I take to recover my funds, given their less-than-ideal treatment of their users?
We can't help you on that but the continuous noise you do for making new tickets could alert them and give you the solution that you're waiting for.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are decentralized domains still a thing? on: September 27, 2023, 11:31:56 PM
IMHO, their prime is done.

I have seen that a lot of people have been enthusiastic and optimistic about that but that's just there being over there. I don't think that it will be peaked again.

However, there's this thing that I am considering. Remember AI? They've been there for so long but it's just like got the stop light last year or two. Maybe a come back can happen for these decentralized domains in the near future but nobody knows.
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Inspired Me To Invest In Bitcoin. on: September 27, 2023, 10:22:09 PM
3. Transaction is fast; bitcoin gives every user the luxury or pleasure of speed in transactions.
While I am not a hater of Bitcoin's speed as I love every single thing about it. There can be argument about how fast it is, there can be other cryptos that's faster than it.

But if we're going to compare it with traditional transfers that are being done by the banks, yes, it's faster and cheaper than them.

Hence, network hiccups are almost eliminated when transacting with bitcoin.
Network clogs are inevitable and it makes the fees higher but it's not as 2017's eoy when the fees were terribly high and transactions were slower.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 27, 2023, 08:47:47 PM
Don't you think that the frequency of such ads must be less in order to let the kids not get trapped into gambling and don't do it at such a small age?
If there are existing gambling ads through the national television, I think that they really need to set frequency or set a time when they will allow to show that as a commercial.

But these commercials or ads chooses the right time slot when they want to show because that's their target market are active for that time.

If the government that allows this and it's not being tackled by people concerning the impact of it to the kids and teenagers. Setting time like near midnight or midnight to show it publicly is the right time for it if they can't disable it.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons you should not gamble on too many things at once. on: September 27, 2023, 07:53:12 PM
Dividing your focus between many games will increase your chances of losing. But it's just my opinion.
While I may be the opposite of what you're saying about dividing the focus because it's normal for a gambler to bet on this side and goes to the other side to bet with another game.

Maybe that really works as per your experience and could work for the other gamblers but maybe not for me, as I'm always getting distracted and does things at the same time.

Some talented people with ample funds and a solid strategy can make multiple bets simultaneously.
I am not talented though but I agree that there really are those gamblers that can do it and gets better results. But, it's also known that sometimes they don't.
970  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: September 27, 2023, 01:12:11 PM
I really want know if getting more degrees can make life financially better because I come from a country where their are no job and I have seen people that the only thing they can do in life is to read books, getting more degrees attaining all these degrees yet no still go job for them with good pay. Do think people who read in a region with slim job opportunities are doing the right thing?
IMHO, that depends on the degree that you're getting as an addition on top of your first degree. But for some reasons, there is satisfying feeling when you attain these achievements like having two degrees at the same time.

But if it's about looking for more opportunities, you really have to move where there's a demand for that degree you own if ever you want to pursue that.

Most people who go for more degrees believe they can get better job at the end of the day. People that only go for more degrees in a stare with high unemployment rate are they doing right thing by putting all their focus on academic because this is the only thing they can do best.
Unemployment these days is high but that doesn't mean that there's not that much opportunity globally. Yes, the metric that I am using is globally so if ever there's not that much opportunity in your area with that degree you have, you have to move somewhere else where you can use it.

For higher incomes, it's like having one degree + masters is more than enough and will cause you lesser time.
971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the rise and popularity of cryptocurrencies be a vivid example? on: September 26, 2023, 11:06:30 PM
When you say crypto that can protect our funds from the inflation, I guess you mean Bitcoin and since you've also posted on this section that's probably what it is.

But if you're saying that it's the entire crypto market that are what people thinking of protecting their money from inflation. You can't generalize that because with thousands of them in existence.

We all know that most of them are just shitcoins and not gonna add any value to your funds and will even decrease it because many of these are low in liquidity.
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: September 26, 2023, 09:46:00 PM
It's like a rope in a two way for those credit card users. As they gamble, they know what will be the repercussions of that action.

First, that's what everyone is aware of because you can't beat the house. Next is more crucial, forget about gambling things and its effect but this could impact your record within the bank or the credit card company that you use.

As some of them don't really like that reason for their user to spend their CCs. They may revoke your card and won't allow you for a new application.
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 26, 2023, 08:43:48 PM
And with the case of Howard, he had a good time in Taiwan, numbers are good and yet his team failed. P

Sure he had a good time but he treated it like a circus.
He took more 3 points shots in 1 game than in his whole NBA career. Of course if miraculously hit some but yet the overall % was underwhelming, haha.

He had problems with players that had a similar built and height as him, even in Taiwan.
And as we all know, his team came in dead last, not even close to the next position.
Yeah, no matter what he did it, he's paid and that's probably what he thought there that it's just like a showmatch and can't even go with the big men of other teams.

He struggled facing them honestly and he didn't just wanna go further on it. Well, can treat his stay there as a marketing purpose for the league.

About the preseason. The first 1 or 2 games of each team will be exiting since the teams mostly play all their stars before shutting them down for the rest of the games.
Players that participated in the world cup ( it's not many anyway ) maybe won't play I guess but the rest should be locked and loaded I expect.
They won't give their all in on the pre season games but at least we get to see the NBA is back in action again.
974  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the benefits of combining fundamental and technical analysis? on: September 26, 2023, 01:04:12 PM
At least for long-term trading, it is necessary to combine the two types of analysis so that a more complete and relevant analysis can be made. What do you think, do you use both?
I am not good at it but if it's going to benefit your trades when you use two of these analysis, why not right? Just use whatever works for you so that you'll win on your trades.

In our opinion, the benefits would be the following:
1. Comprehensive Vision
2. Signal Confirmation
3. Risk Mitigation
4. Capitalizing on Both Short and Long-term Opportunities
5. Flexibility in Strategies
And there will be a lot more.

The main benefit of it is you'll be able to understand and see the other points of these analysis. Whenever you're confident with those, as said on #4 then the long term opportunity will be open and you'll be flexible when you're good at both of it.

976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mixin Network just got hacked on: September 25, 2023, 06:03:41 PM
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this could be the biggest crypto hack for this year right? Or for the entirety already?
Maybe for this year but not entirely, I think it's Axie that's the biggest one. Regardless of that, $200M is no joke. A lot of money and probably including their partners/investors as well.

Man they're getting better and intelligent right now just to bypass these tight security measures of any platform like the Mixin Network.

Any thoughts of this one guys? Thanks in advance.
They have to check if there are loopholes or back/inside job that has happened. Check the logs if there were some missed threats that they didn't noticed.

Every time there's a hack, it's not bringing good vibes honestly whether I am user/investor or not of that platform or project.
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did anyone notice this pattern? on: September 25, 2023, 04:38:24 PM
I think anyone noticing about the pattern the bull season of Bitcoin would be crazy since miner will get half portion of today reward and the newly minted coin will join circulation but not like previous year from now bitcoin will be scarce to get. Its like you mining gold but your pit is slowly not producing more gold.

I do believe this trend/pattern will continue until all bitcoin has been mined

Tho we still early guys - https://www.blockchaincenter.net/en/bitcoin-rainbow-chart/
I've seen the same rainbow chart but it has broken down the lines so I guess this is a new one but with a different range.

The cycle has been always been followed and have been there every four years. But we don't know if the same trend and period of time when the bull run will enter.

It could be even earlier this time but we will about to see that next year.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 25, 2023, 03:24:59 PM
Are you guys excited?

10 more days and the pre-season will start. October 5.
Dallas Mavericks will play against Minnesota Timberwolves in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Then on October 10, the Dallas Mavericks will fly to Madrid, Spain to play against the EuroLeague champions Real Madrid.
I didn't noticed that we've got a few days left for the pre season. Well, anyway this is just like a show match before the actual season starts.

And with Mavs, they seem to have a full load on their schedule and flying from country to country and that's an exciting match they will have against Real Madrid.
Same here, I didn't notice that the preseason will commence soon. This is good, though, because soon the regular season will start. We are going to see if the Nuggets will be able to defend their title and how the teams will perform, especially the Warriors and Suns, who made some significant changes to their roster.
Nuggets seems to be consistent for many years now with Jokic and I think that this time, they're being prepared by most teams so let's see if they'll have hard time or it will be like another easy finals to them.

And with the case of Howard, he had a good time in Taiwan, numbers are good and yet his team failed. P
He is still able to bring numbers in terms of tickets sales and that's what his team should be thankful about as that makes his talent fee there worth it for them.

That's probably it, as at his age, it's not likely he would bring a championship to a certain team. In fact, I've seen some highlights in the same league where other bigs from opposing teams have given Howard a major problem.
He's still a good addition like a reserve player and when he's needed, he's always there. We still can't move on with the possibility of Howard going with the GSW.

But maybe in the next days, we'll see a team willing to put and sign him on roster.

980  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Life lesson]Nothing is really free on: September 25, 2023, 09:48:48 AM
It took me quite a long time to understand that nothing is really free, to the least you will be giving away your time. If you don't find whatever you do worthy of your time, don't do it.

Ppc, faucets and such are waste of time to earn money. If you put the same amount of time in learning some valuable skill you will earn better.
That's true that those way of earning bits of money are just there for someone who doesn't do a lot. But I am not neglecting them for being good introduction to the newbies on this space.

Many have been introduced to faucets and the era where PPC have been popular, I think many have experienced being on the various websites and popular one during those times.

These days, it's a common thing to upgrade yourself and learn a new skill, we've got a lot of skills website where we can learn from scratches, either free or paid trainings.
